Hey everyone, how are y'all doing? Hope you're safe! This is just a little something that popped up in my head after seeing Cassie's (darveypainted) last drawing of Donna and Harvey hugging. Thank you Cassie for letting me use your art as inspiration! It's been hard for me to go through this whole quarantine thing, so I put my thoughts in this fic. Have a good reading, hope you like it! - D

Closing his laptop, Harvey goes searching for her. He stops on his stracks when he catches a glimpse of her watching the sunset on the back porch of their house. It's a view that Harvey will never get over. Donna was already so beautiful on New York, but somehow she got even prettier in Seattle. Waking up with her everyday in their new house, with their future ahead of them, Harvey has never felt so happy in his life. Walking towards her, he hugs her from behind, inhales her perfume and kisses her exposed neck, grinning to himself. I really am so lucky.

"Everything okay?" he asks softly.

"Yeah, I'm just… thinking" she leans on his embrace and rests her head in the crook of his neck.

"What's on your mind?"

"This whole situation we're in… This quarantine, a lot of people getting sick and there's nothing we can do to help. It's so sad, Harvey" he can feel her voice failing as it mixes with the tears that are threatening to fall from her eyes.

"I know. This is all so disturbing" he tightens his hold on her, kissing her cheek. He's thought a lot about this too. They are in a good condition, they have a great house and more importantly, they have each other. But there are people going through all of this alone. He can't help but think that if this was years ago, he'd probably be alone too. "I'm glad I have you, though. I… I don't think I'd be able to face all of this alone, especially without you"

"Yeah, me neither" Donna turns on his embrace and smiles at him, the tears falling silently down her face. "It's so much easier to face this having you by my side"

They meet each other for a soft kiss. Harvey holds her by her waist and Donna caresses his hair. Both thankful for having each other.

"It's been almost a month that we're in this situation" he whispers, his lips on her hair, while she accommodates her head under his chin.

"Yeah. One month without seeing Rachel and Mike in person. Without being able to go visiting my parents, Marcus, Louis and everyone else..." she sighs "At least we facetime them all the time"

"And everytime we facetime Louis and Sheila, I just can't believe how big Lucy is getting" Donna chuckles as she hears him saying that. "Six months already, time flies"

"Well, hotshot, it's been six months since we got married." she smiles into his chest "So yeah, time flies. She's getting bigger and we haven't seen her in about two months"

"I promise you that when this is over we'll go visit them, okay?" he feels her nodding. "We will visit all of them in New York, your parents, Marcus and the kids… We're gonna make more time for the important things in life"

"Look at you all sweet. What happened to 'caring only makes you weak'?" Donna teases him, lifting her head and looking straight to his soft brown eyes.

"You happened to me." Harvey smiles and gives her a quick peck. "When I got out here, you looked tense. Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I mean…" she hugs him again, burying her face in his chest. "I never thought I'd go through a situation like this. This is all so terrifying, I get a little bit scared thinking about it sometimes. Not just because of us, but for our families and everyone else"

"I get it" Harvey hates to see Donna like this, especially because he feels powerless in this situation. He promised her he'd never let anything happen to her, and if it's up to him, she will always be safe. He can't protect her from this, but he can try and make her relax. "You know, when I was a kid and I was scared because of something, especially after a nightmare, I'd go to my parents bedroom and wake my mom up" she felt his voice getting emotional so she hugged him tighter "She would go with me to my bedroom, sit in my bed and make me think about good things like me playing with my friends or my favorite cartoons. Sometimes she'd just hug me and everything would feel a lot better instantly"

"Harvey…" she looks at him again and his eyes are teary, but he has a big smile on his face.

"I promised you I'd never let anything happen to you so you don't ever have to feel scared. Everything will be okay soon, but whenever you feel scared, you tell me and I'll hug you just like my mom used to do with me, okay?"

"Okay" Donna smiles at him and they hug each other. "Thank you for sharing this with me and for being here. I feel a lot better now"

"I'm always gonna be here for you. Never forget that you're not alone" he whispers on her ear and puts his hand on her little bump "You have me and our little girl here"

"How could I ever forget my favorite people in the world?"

They grin at each other and turn to watch the sunset in a soft silence. Both their hands are secure over Donna's bump. She is not sure what the future brings to them and to the world, but one thing she's sure of is that there's no other place she'd rather be than in Harvey's arms.

AN. Fun fact: the thing Harvey said about his mom going to his bedroom is actually what my mom used to do after I had a nightmare when I was a kid. That's where I got the inspiration from.
