Here is the next chapter. Please read and review love Hermione x

Godric entered his rooms. He hadn't been in them in centuries. He'd just spoken to the Gryffindors but now it was time to look around his rooms. There was a round shaped bed up three steps on a platform which was also round. It had golden coloured curtains and deep red sheets on it. The duvet on top was leopard print. He'd always been fascinated by lions and indeed leopards so had a lot of leopard print things in his rooms. His pillows were the same deep red of his sheets. This bed had been designed to make itself the most comfortable to whoever slept in it. It was as he lay here that he thought about Esmeralda his darling wife who had died many years ago in a freak accident. He loved her dearly. He felt some tears slipping out of his eyes as he remembered her. This time would be different though. He would find a suitable mate and have the best life he could. He was jolted from his thoughts putting on his pyjamas when Salazar burst in looking more furious then he'd seen him doing in a while.

"Godric! You know me I can never just leave it if I feel something is suspicious and so I looked past the Cerberus. It turns out there are various challenges there relating to each of the first year classes. At the end of this tunnel thing is none other then a Philosophers Stone! I can see Albus has put it there himself but he doesn't intend to just leave it there like it is now!" he said as Godric who was now dressed in his pyjamas reeled around in anger.

"What in Merlin's ugly ball sack is that blasted fool thinking of? If any one of my more dangerous heirs or indeed your heir Tom Riddle got hold of that they could use it to become immortal. Oh my god Sal that's what he wants. He wants Tom Riddle to come here. It all fits!" he said now banging his fist on a sideboard beside him in rage.

"Yes I came to that conclusion as well. Well I am here now so I shall stay the night with you. We will room here together for the next week and after that we will spend the week in my rooms. We should do this every other week. It will be good for us!" he said getting into the bed and almost moaning at how comfortable it was.

In Slytherins own room he had the same bed layout as Godric however his curtains and sheets were silver and his duvet was a luxurious Arabian green silk. He'd always loved the finer fabrics in life. That was indeed why he'd charmed his school robes to be made of the finest Arabian silk from Persia but to look to everyone else as the normal school robes. Even Dumbledore would not notice it. They both climbed into bed and woke the next morning at half seven on the dot. They desired to be on time to breakfast so they could enjoy it in the most serene moment before the hall would be flooded with everyone else.

They entered the hall and sat down smiling politely at a shocked Severus Snape who had not expected them to look so calm and well put together. He was a bit thrown by it actually. Sure Ronald Weasley looked a bit the worse for wear physically but his clothes and mannerisms said otherwise. He smiled back at them politely. Salazar's words still ringing in his head. The boy is nothing like his father Severus now we wouldn't want to get the wrong impression now would we? He shook his head to get rid of the thought and decided he would judge the boy solely on how he did in his classes and how he treated him personally. That at least would be fair. He hadn't known James Potter and there was no possible reality where he could have turned out like him. He should have known that but for some bizarre reason for a moment his hatred of the man had somehow clouded his vision. No for now he would treat Potter as innocent until proven guilty. He was also concerned because he had noticed at dinner last night that Flint had fired a stunner at Harry because the boy had obviously said something he didn't like but it had merely fizzled out as it had reached him. It would seem Harry hadn't even noticed it at all.

They sat down and began to eat their scrambled eggs, croissants and coffee. Everyone else was having cereal and tea or coffee but Sal's house elf saw to it that they had the cooked breakfasts they had wanted. If anyone noticed they didn't say anything. Dumbledore of course noticed looking confused. He approached the table himself.

"Good morning Slytherin students. Mr Potter, Mr Weasley why do you have a cooked breakfast when the rest of the school bar the staff do not?" he asked seriously.

"Good morning sir. It was here when we got here sir and it truly is delicious. You are more then welcome to have some if you feel left out!" Harry said seriously as Albus looked shocked.

"Yes well be sure it doesn't happen again. It is against the school rules!"

"No it isn't! Honestly Albus what are you doing?" Snape said approaching him.

"Yes well either way I don't want it happening because then all the students will want that and they can't have it!" he said as Snape cast a sonorous charm on himself asking the whole hall to stand up if they wanted cooked breakfasts in the morning. Only about forty students stood up. Albus was furious his attempt to control Harry had been thwarted by a member of his staff no less. Shouldn't Severus hate the boy anyway? Just what the fuck was he playing at?

"Mr Potter after breakfast I would like a meeting with you in my office. The password is mars bar!" he said and left at once. Harry and Ron exchanged looks.

"I'll be with you in the portrait alright!" Ron said as Harry thanked him and left for the headmaster's office. He entered to find it very opulently decorated feeling serious rage at that. The headmaster of the school was never supposed to look so much better then everyone else. He was meant to have a larger dining chair and office but it was never meant to be so damn opulent. Who the fuck did he think he was a damn peacock?

"Have a seat Mr Potter. Would you like a lemon drop?" he said as Harry scanned them and found them to be laced with veritas serum.

"No thank you sir I've only just had my breakfast and it would not be wise of me to eat things when I don't know where they came from. Since I now know I am a wizard I will have to learn how to test things for hidden potions before eating them. I am deathly afraid of being poisoned and not knowing it sir. But thank you for the generous offer none the less!" he said as Albus looked enraged and stunned. No one had ever said no to his sweets before. He cast a wandless compulsion charm on the container before asking Harry if he wanted any sweets once again just to be sure. Harry picked up the sweet making him smile and then threw it at his face.

"I am so sorry sir. I don't know what came over me but it is like I could feel that these sweets were charmed!" he said waving his wand and making them disappear.

"Sir it is for your own safety as I could sense someone had charmed them I wouldn't want for you to get hurt. Now what did you want to see me about?" he asked as Dumbledore was too shocked to speak for a moment. How was Harry so powerful? He would need to start trying to come up with ways to get him to go to the third floor corridor and soon so he could stop Riddle getting there first. Severus suspected the Quirrel was Riddle or a death eater but it as just nonsense Albus wouldn't hear. For one thing Quirrel was too jumpy and scared after is run in with the vampires to be a death eater.

"Harry why do you suppose I told people they couldn't go to the third floor corridor?" he asked as Harry thought about his answer.

"Well sir I would imagine you said it to highlight it was there so students don't accidentally find the monster there. Obviously it must be a monster if it could kill us? What is it a banshee? A Cerberus? A dragon? A giant?" he asked curiously as Dumbledore looked horrified. How the hell could he have known about the Cerberus?

"Harry who have you been talking to?" he thundered trying to look scary while Harry merely looked bored.

"Well this morning I spoke to my best friend Ronald Weasley and now I am speaking with you sir. Is there a problem? You do look awfully stressed out!" he asked as Dumbledore was fit to curse him but bit his tongue and put his wand away.

"Harry how did you know there was a Cerberus in the third floor corridor?" he asked barely keeping his rage below the surface.

"Wait what? There actually is! That's craziness! It was a guess and not a good guess at that. What the hell are you doing? They truly are dangerous and could kill people for sure. You know someone told me once that this school is the best and safest school but with a Cerberus in it how can it be? Also sir while we are on the topic of safe how safe is Hagrid? He came to get me to take me to Diagon Alley to get my things. Why did a teacher not come? He is a giant and a very frightening man at that! I thought he'd hurt me!" he said as Dumbledore gasped in horror.

"Harry I would trust Hagrid with my life. Yes he is a half giant but there is no need to be afraid of him I promise!" he said as Harry scowled.

"I am not the only one. All the first years yesterday were terrified of him. Poor Susan Bones thought he'd eat her and Hannah Abbott I think was her name asked him not to stand on her. It's not funny sir and whether you trust him or not is not an issue. Even Professor McGonagall I think her name is would have been less scary than him!" he said as Dumbledore who was too flustered by this information to continue moved on quickly.

"So Harry how was it growing up with your family? I would like to learn as much about our national hero as I can" he said with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Well it was like hell minus the fire. I was treated like a house elf and lived in a cloak cupboard underneath their staircase all of my life. They had a spare room but never saw fit to give it to me. TO be honest I was shocked we got to share rooms at all in Slytherin. At least they don't let me sleep in cupboard here. It would be most inappropriate. Sir do you think you could ask them to give me a new bedroom? Hagrid said you were good for sorting out things and I need help!" he said as Dumbledore smiled.

"Harry it would not do you any good if I came to fight your battles every time. I am sure you can convince them to give you a new bedroom soon!" he said in a patronising manner.

"I am asking you for help and you have refused. Clearly Hagrid is a liar. Sir you will not ask to meet with me again unless you wish to aid me" he said seriously as Albus looked outraged.

"I am the headmaster of this school and you will see me everyday if I wish it of you. I am in charge here and not you!" he snapped jumping as Godric spoke from behind him.

ALBUS! He asked for help and you refused to give it. The way I see it you have no right to call yourself the headmaster if you will not help your students. What are you going to do about that damn Philosopher stone on the third floor? You know if Tom Riddle gets it we will all be in danger. What are you thinking?

"How do you know about Tom Riddle?" he asked Godric with a frightened and pale face. It actually looked like he might be physically sick.

He knows about him because I have told him of the disgrace who went to school here fifty years ago. I don't know if your staff all know about it but Severus does because I told him yesterday and he was most surprised. As to that Philosopher stone I overheard Mr Flint in my own house saying he was going to force Harry here to go and get whatever is there for him. He needs protection not rejection! Mr Flint is not as cunning as he thinks and neither sir are you.

"I am sorry Salazar. I will deal with Mr Flint momentarily. The stone is there to lure Tom in so he can be permanently killed this year. He will come of that I am sure.

And what of Professor Quirinous Quirrel? Severus seems to think he is a death eater! I want him vetted as soon as possible. I will not tolerate you not doing your job properly. It would also seem you have neglected to read the school rules recently or anytime at all it would seem. Professor McGonagall should have only two titles and no more then that. You will rectify it at once!

"Salazar please I will deal with situation as it comes. As for Professor Quirrel he is fine. He is merely shaken up because of an encounter with some vampires which almost killed him. He has my full trust" he said as Godric then spoke himself.

Well Albus it would seem all those you trust are reckless idiots. All my Griffins were terrified of Hagrid yesterday. They all feared he'd go rouge and eat them. I mean really a half bloody giant to meet the first years! What's next a death eater teaching DADA?

"Godric I am truly sorry about that. I had not realised he had scared people so much. I will talk with him about it. Mr Potter you may go for now. We will meet again later in the year and tell Mr Flint he may not have the Philosophers Stone!" he said as Harry went and delivered the message to a shocked Flint who was in Severus' class when he got the message.

"What are you talking about Potter?" Snape said as he approached the highly confused Flint.

"Mr Dumbledore asked me to tell Flint here he cannot have the Philosophers Stone. Apparently he was saying he wanted it or something I don't know" he answered as Snape glared at Flint.

"But Professor I don't even know what that is much less and I've never heard of it before now" he assured as Severus deflated seeing he was telling the truth.

"Mr Potter I have no idea why Professor Dumbledore said that to you but it is not true. Thank you for delivering his message!" he said as Harry left to attend him charms class. It was shaping up to be a fun day so far.
