Sakura leaned against the wall. She closed her eyes as she felt the pleasant breeze, and then opened them again to look at the window. The farm truly was beautiful, which, she thought and straightened up as the last of the Greenes walked into the room, was the reason she had to do this. Dylan leaned against the wall perpendicular to her.

"So as you all know," she began, "I went out in order to get some supplies to build defenses for this place, along with essentials that can carry us over the winter or even if we have a rough patch." she paused in case someone had something to add or protest (Greene-san). When she got none, she continued.

"The only problem with that, is that while the traps and defenses I've set are good for protecting us from enemies, but they are, as of now, also dangerous to you guys"

"Dangerous to us how?" Maggie asked.

("You can't call the both of us Miss Greene. Call me Maggie."

"And me Beth.")

"None of you have any idea where they are and do not have the training to search them out. You could wander on them by accident, which is why I've called this meeting."

"To show us where the traps are." Dylan stated, and she nodded.

"There's a lot, and it extends the whole perimeter, so I want to not only show you where they are, but make sure it's second nature to spot them."

"These traps are fatal?" Greene-san injected, and Sakura gave him a look two parts humor and one part exasperation.

"I can make them so if you would like" she purred, but conceded. "No, they are not, just enough to hold until someone can release them" Greene-sanl nodded in acquiesce. Sakura nodded in return and clapped her hands. "The traps are also a bit further out, so a bit of a trek, some of you might wanna change shoes."

"You know, I thought that being the badass, logic-driven machine you are, you would see that being in the middle of the apocalypse means needing to sleep whenever you can" Dylan joked as he sat down next to the pinkette.

"True, but you forgot to take into account that being said badass, logic-driven machine, my instincts would be turned up to a thousand, and my mind would be constantly going with thoughts on how to keep ahead of threats." He sighed and shook his head at her, a small smile on his face.

"It's not healthy," he reminded her.

"I know, but I can't help it"

"You don't feel safe." Dylan nodded in understanding. He looked up at the full moon. "Your insomnia would get the best of you when we first began living together. You would get up at ten after tossing and turning the whole time, and then you'd get up to watch television, hoping to fall asleep. When that didn't work, you'd go for a walk-"

"And you'd follow me out by that point, making my insomnia even worse."

"What?!" his head snapped to her "I always followed you, and then we'd walk to the nearest diner and drink some milk while eating pancakes. It was our routine! You never said I made you uncomfortable or anything!" Sakura giggled.

"I meant in the beginning. When we first met, not only were you the one to find me, but then against all odds, we met again. You invited me somewhere to eat, paid for me, and then in the same breath, asked if I wanted to move in with you."

"That was not all on the same day!" he protested. "And normal people would be grateful to the person that saved them in distress and fed them, but of course you've never been normal have you, cherryblossom?" Dylan winced and rubbed his ribs from her jabbing him.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?" she harrumphed. Then she thought back to what he said and shrugged."Look at it from my perspective. Yes, you saved me, which would have been fine if I never saw you again-"

"Hey!" she gave a short laugh

"There are so many people in the world, it's so big, and you don't normally frequent that city-"

"I mean, I kinda did, my mother lived there." she nodded.

"Yes, but you also worked two hours out with no car to speak of, so you didn't visit as much as you would have liked." he conceded with a nod "The fact that you found me beat up in an alley, and then managed to find me again, made me paranoid." Dylan drooped forward and widened his eyes at her.

"Why, in God's name, did that make you paranoid?"

"Because, at the time, not only did I not fully believe that at least some weren't like..me, "A deadly weapon with chakra. He hummed as if hearing her thoughts "but I was also in an unfamiliar place with no known allies in sight. In my head, meeting you again meant either, one, you were the one to hurt me and came back to get the job done, or two, you saved me and wanted the debt repaid."

Dylan tilted his head back and rubbed at his eyes with a sardonic laugh.

"Yes, yes, I know it's not like that now, but you know some of how I grew up." He tilted his head side to side in grudging acquiesce. "Nothing comes free. You saved my life, and I had no idea what you wanted as payment. This was of course after I figured you were not the one to hurt me. I had no power, connections, or money to my name...only me" This time she looked at him pointed "And then, you offered me your home" He threw his hands in the air

"Oh come one! You said that you had no money to your name and that you had been living on the streets! What did you expect me to do, huh? I didn't save your life just for you to catch something on the street and have you die from it!" Sakura snickered at his frustration.

"I know all this now. I'm just telling you all the things that were running through my head at the time. You are a man, with no connection to me whatsoever other than the fact that you saved my life, and I was a woman that didn't even look half her age. You knew that I couldn't have been fully healed with the timing of you dropping me off at the hospital and meeting me again, and therefore, could have saw me as someone weak and vulnerable to take advantage of"

He stared at her incredulously. She laughed harder.

"You have to admit that inviting someone you barely know to live with you is hardly normal!"

"Wha-okay fine, I'll give you that, but you said yes!" She nodded sagely at him.

"Yes I did, and as weak as I was, if you turned out to be as I feared, I had every intention of taking one of your dull kitchen knives and skinning you." He stared at her in horror. She smiled brightly, eyes closed.

"Good thing you turned out to be a good man, ne?"

There's chapter four! What do you guys think? Is Sakura too paranoid lol? I also gave a little bit of a backstory in this chapter and tried to show you that the farm and people from canon TWD are also different, just like Sakura.

Right now, most noticeably is Herschel since that's all I've shown, other than Dylan, interacting with Sakura. He's still very much his naive self that we see in the beginning of TWD, but as I've written in the previous chapter, there's one huge change that's happened, one that sent Shane into a bit of a rage.

These aren't the only changes to characters I'm gonna make, after all, both Dyaln and Saurka, who is a mercenary and experienced with the cruelty of the world, are there.

So subject change, who's your favorite Naruto character? TWD character? Why?
