Harry Potter and the Soul Bond Surprise

Harry awoke an hour later. Opening his eyes, Harry saw a mass of blonde hair with blue eyes staring back at him. Harry felt a deep love and protectiveness envelop his thoughts and he pulled her closer to him and kissed her fiercely, pushing all his protectiveness and care for her into it.

"I love you Daphne Victoria Greengrass"

"I love you too Harry James Potter"

It was at that moment that both Harry and Daphne both realized that they were still joined at the mouth.

"Cool!" Harry exclaimed with a childlike wonder that caused Daphne to chuckle at her love's antics.

"Yes, love very cool." Daphne said happily.

Suddenly Daphne was in a bone-crushing hug.

"I love when you call me that." Harry said as tears rolled down his face from where it was held in the crook of Daphne's neck.

"I love only you, love"

"And I love you, more than anything and with all my being."

Suddenly Harry and Daphne were interrupted by the sound of the door opening and Lord Ragnok striding in regally… until he saw Harry and Daphne's state of undress. Ragnok turned his head back so fast he must've gotten whiplash.

With a touch of what seemed to be embarrassment, he told the couple, "We have much to discuss, please dress and come out quickly, you must return to your school quickly.

After receiving an affirmative from the couple, Ragnok left telling one of the guards to escort them to his office.

Harry and Daphne quickly dress sneaking looks at the other Soon they exited the room and were led to Ragnok's office, Daphne pulled up against Harry by her waist.

Once Longknife had seated himself and the group was settled Ragnok began.

"Let me begin by saying congratulations on your Soul-Bond marriage Mr. and Mrs. Potter and begin by saying you are both married, emancipated by magic and law, and eligible for our blood test for your inheritances. Do you wish to discuss all of this?"

"It is no issue to discuss it now; we thank you for your congratulations and we hope to take those tests immediately."

"I see you have discovered the non-verbal communication. Good, that's one thing I don't have to explain to you."

"Yes, Lord Ragnok."

"Mr. and Mrs. Potter please call me Ragnok, we have much to do this night and it will get tedious for you to call me that."

"Only if you call us Harry and Daphne." Daphne replied.

"That is acceptable." Ragnok replied before waving his hand and two pieces of parchment and two bowls filled with an unknown potion appeared before the couple. Ragnok waved his hand again and two knives appeared next to the bowls.

"You must cut your hand and put it over the potion. Once the potion has enough blood the wound will heal."

After the pair complied and the potion and knife were vanished Ragnok conjured two trays, placed the parchment in them and poured the potion on it. Moments later words started forming and the couple watched until all the potion was gone, and the parchment was covered in red words much like the blood that had just come from the couple's hands.

Ragnok pushed the trays over to the couple and motioned for them to read the parchment in front of them.

Harry read the parchment and was shocked by what he read.

Harry finished reading his and immediately stood up and cried out, "What the fuck?"

"My love please calm down and read mine, it is very confusing, and I hope you can help me understand it." The two goblins smiled inwardly at how Harry visibly calmed when Daphne wrapped herself around him.

"Alright love." Harry said, still loving when she called him that.

Harry gave his parchment to Daphne and took hers.

Harry passed the parchment to the Goblins and pointed at the Abilities section." Can you explain this?"

"Ahh, yes our relic explained this, but we didn't tell you as we had more pressing issues. We also wished to confirm before informing you as we wished to see if our relic was malfunctioning."

Harry thought about it and agreed that keeping them both alive seemed more sensible as they could talk about it later if they removed the Horcrux and completed the bond they could then talk more freely, without the fear of Death.

"It seems Daphne's core has bound itself because your core was bound, to put you both at the same level as a Soul Bond is a bond of equals."

Daphne and Harry thought about it and the logic followed so they accepted it.

"Can we remove the blocks?"

"Certainly, then we can talk about the Lordships and other things."

"Thank you, how much do we owe you for this?"

"10,000 Galleons."

"Take it."

"I will prepare the ritual room."

"Thank you"

A six-foot scar-less Harry that looked like he had worked out for years walked into Ragnok's office from the Ritual Room, confidently leading a five- ten Daphne who looked like the epitome of feminine beauty and grace but you could tell she had tremendous power hidden underneath the facade.

After they seated Ragnok began

"Harry, have you ever held the Sword of Gryffindor?"

Harry nodded to the Goblin King

"Good, now the rite to access the Gryffindor Lordship requires you have the blade."

"How should I get the blade?"

"Just imagine it here." Ragnok replied as if it was the simplest thing in the world."

Not wanting to offend the King, Harry imagined the sword of Gryffindor in his hand.

As soon as Harry completed his mental picture, Harry felt a weight in his hand and opening his eyes he found the sword of Gryffindor exactly where he pictured it.

"Very good, now we need the lady Gryffindor's sword."

Ragnok then waved his hand and suddenly the sorting Hat appeared on Ragnok's desk.

The hat looked around before fixating on Harry and Daphne. "Ahh… Lord Gryffindor has awoken, and I must test his wife… very well please place me on Miss Greengrass' Head-"

Ragnok then interrupted the hat and spoke," You need not judge Miss Greengrass, she is already Lady Gryffindor, as she is soul bound to Lord Gryffindor."

"Oh. I see well then here you go; you may send me back now."

As Ragnok waved his hand again and the hat disappeared, leaving a sword similar to the Sword of Gryffindor but, slightly smaller. Daphne reached over and grasped the blade. Once Daphne had Fully Grasped and stopped admiring it, Ragnok then began," Please touch the ruby and the Lord and Lady rings shall appear." Harry and Daphne complied, and a small jewelry box appeared. Seeing the box on the desk Ragnok nodded to himself and then waved his hand again and six other boxes appeared next to the one in front of each, along with a scabbard for their swords.

"You must put all of the rings on I recommend using all your fingers except your thumbs. Please leave a space for the Emrys ring, as we must go to the vault to get that pair of rings. We shall do that after one more piece of business and then we would recommend you go on your way and return at a later date as we will then be ready to read the Potter and Black will as well as take you to all of your vaults."

"Then, we shall return upon the day of the Black will reading to attend to the other business." Daphne stated as she opened the jewelry boxes and motioned for Harry to do the same.

After mentally discussing, Harry and Daphne had come to an agreement on where each ring should be worn. The Potter ring, on their right ring finger, the Black ring on their right middle finger, the Slytherin ring on the right Index finger, the Peverell ring on the right pinky finger to finish the right hand. On the left hand, the Gryffindor ring on the right index finger, the Ravenclaw ring on the middle finger, and the Hufflepuff ring on the pink finger, leaving one empty space for the Emrys ring on the ring finger.

Once all the rings were placed properly, Harry and Daphne stood up, before sheathing their swords and then returned to their seats. Once both were seated comfortably, Ragnok spoke, "Now to our second to last business, this is more for you and anyone around you, but please try to cast the Lumos spell."

"But sir, we are not allowed to use magic."

"I give you permission."

Acquiescing to his request Harry and Daphne pulled out there Wands and intoned "Lumos" As soon as the spell had left their mouths the wands started glowing and then melted completely to the ground, leaving only sludge for the husband and wife to stare at wide-eyed. Ragnok took one look at their expressions and started chuckling loudly. Once he had calmed down, he placated the couple, "Apologies, but your expressions were hilarious. The reason that occurred was due to your cores being unblocked, and now your magical focuses cannot take the power of your un-bound magical cores, I would recommend going to Ollivander's to get a new focus, I would also recommend asking about your elemental powers as the Goblin Nation does not know how to help you with that."

"Very well, Lord Ragnok, I believe we must conclude our business quickly, so to have time to speak to Mister Ollivander and return without our Professors knowing of our absence." Daphne stated.

"I apologize Daphne, but they already know, Dumbledore was Harry's Guardian and thus we had to file his emancipation and the taking of the Headship of House Potter and your other houses except for Emrys."

"Why not Emrys?"

"The previous Lord Emrys, Merlin himself, placed an edict that only the head of house is able to tell people of his position and the Goblins may only tell the Head of house."

"Then, why am I allowed to know." Daphne asked confusedly.

"As you are Soul Bound, when you are Soul Bound you are truly two parts of one soul in two bodies, thus you are both the Head of the Houses of Potter, Peverall, Black, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Emrys. Thus, unlike other Ladies of the Houses, you have equal power in the House as Harry."

Seeing Daphne opening and closing her mouth, as though a fish, Harry got up, pulled her from her chair, and sat her in his lap. Once settled, Harry moved closer to her, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Daphne smiled and turned her head to Harry, "I know, love."

Ragnok coughed and with an uncomfortable tone, said, "I apologize, but you truly need to finish going into your Vault as it is 5 o'clock in the morning and the bank opens in an hour and we must finish opening it before then so to keep you both being the Head of House Emrys a secret."

"Very well, Ragnok and I would like to apologize for causing you to stay up all night." Harry replied, sadly thinking on all the trouble they caused.

"Nonsense, we summoned you and so we were prepared for this, neither Longknife nor I will be working tomorrow unless it is a completely dire problem." Ragnok replied to the wizard who had shown another instance that reaffirmed his faith in Harry, for his respect… and his courage and bravery as a warrior. Oh yes… the Goblin Nation knew about his bout with the basilisk and they were impressed, not a single Goblin or Wizard could say they faced a basilisk alone only with a sword, a phoenix, and a hat. That is what caused the Goblins to have respect for him as Goblins pride themselves as warriors and can recognize another warrior's strength and his continued respect for the Goblin Nation further cemented the respect the Goblin Nation has for the Wizard.

As Ragnok lead the couple to his personal elevator- the only way to the Emrys Vault, he talked of inconsequential things, he explained how Merlin funded the bank's beginnings and so all Goblins know of what he has decreed for his Inheritance, especially the director. This is why the vault has a separate entrance point and Ragnok insisted on accompanying them.

When the elevator stopped, the trio exited and before them lay a wall with two pairs of handprints and a crest. The crest lay in between the handprints and was a shield, with a large E embossed into it surrounded by two Dragons breathing fire at the same point. With a phoenix embossed rising from the point the fires joined.

"You both must put your hands on the handprints to open the door." Ragnok informed them.

Harry and Daphne walked over to the handprints, harry on the left, Daphne on the right. Together, they placed their palms on the prints and as soon as they did the crest grew white and then the entire wall upon which all three markings were resting upon, disappeared.

Now in front of the trio was a door at the end of a long narrow hallway.

"You both must continue on from here on your own, Merlin gave us strict instructions on what to do and this was one of them, I am only allowed to enter once the Vault door opens. So please, go quickly, as this must be finished quickly before business hours so to prevent people from knowing Lord Emrys has awakened."

Nodding their assent, the couple walked to the door and opened it walking inside.

On the other side of the door was a sight that was as beautiful as it was terrifying. The door led the couple to a large domed room that was made of gold and inlayed with platinum with very beautiful inlays and carvings in the room. The room has a steady waterfall and a platform on which partially eaten and uneaten food lay. But the sight that caused the couple to be terrified was the sight of two dragons which were patiently staring right back at the couple. The dragons were fully white in color with blue wings. They were muscular and the powerful magic that radiated of them was amazing. Harry and Daphne were paralyzed with fear when, suddenly they both felt 2 presences in their minds. Suddenly, one spoke in a thick, ancient, gravelly voice which seemed to pull them to look at the dragon on the right who looked more masculine, "Ahh, so the soul-bonded couple has arrived, Welcome Lord and Lady Emrys I am Antonius…"

"…and I am his mate Imelda or at least that is what Merlin called us as it was as close as he could get to our names." said a sudden ancient, melodious voice that drew the couple's attention to the feminine-looking dragon, "We are the former protectors of this vault, your familiars and the last of our breed of dragons." Imelda continued.

The couple was stunned silent, trying to assimilate all the information and get over the shock to ask questions, but they couldn't as Antonius continued, "Merlin was a seer and saw our bonding as well as the death of the rest of our race by the other dragon races and so saved us so that we may bond as well as protect you as you protect us."

"How would we protect you?" Daphne asked.

"When we bond with you we will enter your skin and appear in your minds so we may move without drawing attention to ourselves and thus the other races cannot kill us and we can grow our breed to be strong once again, we also wish to bond with you, as you are powerful, and our breed of dragon, in particular, bonds with wizards well, but only powerful ones." Imelda spoke

"I see, I know not of what Daphne will say but I accept the bond." Harry said with an excited tone and a look of wonder at the two dragons

"As do I." Daphne agreed with a smile at her love's expression as it was so very nice to see him like this, without the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Suddenly, there was a flash of white light and the dragon mates where no more standing there.

In his mind, Harry could see Antonius prowling around and looked to be inspecting his accommodations.

"We must teach you Occlumency, as this is just terrible, your mate will teach you to her level and then we will move from there. But first we must exit this body- "and with another bright white flash both had exited the couple and then with another flash had re-entered.

"Now walk to the other side of the room and open the Vault same as you removed the wall. Inside you will find Merlin's belongings as well as books, please leave those until later when you have more time to appreciate them and we can explain what they are, you will find two staffs, directly in front of you when you open the Vault, go to the one which calls to you, Merlin crafted staffs for you but I would recommend also getting one from Ollivander as then you will have two and we can teach you techniques Myrridian used as he crafted two for himself. He knew you would get one from Ollivander and thought it was a good way to get people off your back about having a staff. With the staffs, the rings which will appear on your finger." Imelda spoke in their minds.

Acquiescing to the request, Harry looked at his watch and realized it was twenty minutes to opening time, thought it would just be better to have a quick look around, and then go harass Mister Ollivander. Walking briskly to the other side of the room, Harry and Daphne placed their handprints on the true Vault door, just as before the crest grew white and the wall disappeared.

The couple were stunned when they opened it and the first thing, they saw were two staffs, remembering the deal, Harry and Daphne held out their hands and the staffs moved towards them. Harry opened his eyes to find a massive wind flapping everywhere as he looked at a long staff, of about 5 feet, with emerald gemstone on the top of a dark brown wood. He innately recognized that it had a Phoenix feather, a thunderbird feather, a dragon scale, and a basilisk fang inside as the cores. Daphne opened his eyes to a similar background, to see a staff with a sapphire on the top of dark brown wood, with the same cores as Harry's. Daphne then noticed that the staff of both knotted and twirled until it came to a stop with a unicorn horn that was also part of the core.

"Merlin was respected by the unicorns and when two mates died before him he returned the bodies to the herd and was given the horns as gratitude, it was when he got the horns that he had a vision to make the staffs and about you." Antonius informed them as they noticed what was the base. "Now we all must go as you have two meetings to go to, one with Ollivander and you will know the second as soon as it appears. Oh, and that is all Merlin told us so please don't think we know the future, we don't. We were only told you would have two meetings and we know the first one is Ollivander because of the memories available to us because of the bond."

Accepting their request, Harry and Daphne first looked at their hands and after seeing the rings, smiled and left the Vault, promising to explore further later, they walked out and the door closed behind them as Ragnok entered the dome room. They proceeded forward to Ragnok and explained that they were on a schedule, and they needed to go meet Ollivander before too many people came to the alley and questioned why two Hogwarts students were there, especially Harry Potter, they also told him the next time they came, he could come with.

Ragnok agreed to their reasoning and provided a portkey back and told them it would take them to the seventh floor as that was typically the least crowded. Harry and Daphne pondered this and realized he was right. So, they all entered the elevator and exited in the Director's office, where Ragnok led them to the lobby as any further might cause suspicion. Suddenly Harry was struck with a question, "Lord Ragnok, if I may ask, why are you here in Britain working as the director when you are the King of all the Goblins, Do you have offices everywhere, and transportation to get to each and only came due to Lady Magic's mandate."

Ragnok was impressed by the question and so answered it, " You may, and I do have offices in all the branches of Gringotts, however my home office is here and that is because this is the first Gringotts and when we established ourselves as a bank, Merlin helped us in advertising as well as buying the land this Gringotts rests on and renting it for one gold piece which is now a galleon. It is due to this that we Goblins respect the House of Emrys as I have told you before, and the King of the Goblin Race resides here."

Harry was amazed but then stated," I thank you for answering my question and now understand why there is such a level of respect for my house and now can fully understand the passing comment that you told me earlier."

With that Ragnok left and the pair walked through the lobby and were about to leave when they realized their staffs were out, the second Daphne wondered what to do about it, Imelda spoke, "Just focus on them not being there and they will disappear and reappear when you wish them to." Following making the staffs disappear, Harry and Daphne walked out and hurriedly moved towards Ollivander's which had opened ten minutes ago. They entered the store to find the man staring back at them, with a gleam in his eye as he said, "You require staffs, correct." After they had nodded to him, they were ushered to the back room, where there were multiple core parts around and a large section of wood. As soon as they entered the room, they felt tugs to random things.

"You feel the tug. Correct?", Ollivander asked excitedly and after receiving nods told them, "You must follow them, first go to the wood, and follow the tug." So, Harry and Daphne walked over to the woods and extended their arms and suddenly, two pieces of what Harry immediately recognized as Holly flew into their waiting hands. They were about to turn around when Harry noticed a piece of wood that looked like their staffs from the vault, so Harry asked, "What is that wood?"

"That is Elm, the wood of Miss Greengrass' former wand, 12 inches, slightly bendy, and a thunderbird feather. Now go to the cores and call the ones that produce that tug."

Walking over the cores, Harry thought about how both of them would have staffs from both of their wands' wood and one of them had the exact same core as the other, even having both of the cores of the previous ones.

I guess Ragnok was right, we are two parts of one soul in two bodies.

Harry and Daphne arrived at the station and held their hands out and immediately, 5 jars began circling the two of them. Once they had settled the jars, they saw that there were 2 phoenix feathers, 2 thunderbird feathers, 2 Mermaid scales, 2 fangs of a Chimaera and 2 Horns of the Horned Serpent.

Ollivander looked stunned at the cores before his face turned to one of complete excitement due to his love of his craft. He looked like a child on Christmas Day (not that Harry had been allowed to experience that due to having to grow up very quickly.) and ushered them out of his shop, but not before transfiguring their clothes and turning Harry blonde. It was a makeshift disguise, but it was better than none. He informed them that it would take 3 hours so they just went to the Leaky Cauldron where they had a nice relaxing conversation and payed for their meal with some money Daphne had taken from her Vault while he was unconscious as she wanted to find better clothes, if they would need to be there for long.

After they had a very scrumptious breakfast they decided to go to Madam Malkin's, where Daphne got a standard ready-made set of robes, which she quickly put on before they decided to peruse Flourish and Blots, where they perused the books and Daphne bought him a book on Defense and some on Occlumency, over his protests, until Daphne subtly reminded him of who they were to each other, and told him to think of it as a present from his wife(the last part was very softly whispered to him). Finally, after begrudgingly accepting that she truly had every right to purchase them as he had no money on him, but he vowed silently to buy her the world just for being with him. Harry just didn't know that Daphne had heard that because of Imelda and was planning on thanking him when they got to a more private place.

After they bought the books they realized it was 5 minutes to when Ollivander called them, so they decided to take a leisurely walk from the bookstore to their destination, lightly chatting about how their new staffs might be, and why these, which were very similar to the previous one, did not have gemstone as the ones they found in the Vault. The second they entered the shop that question was eliminated as they saw an almost destroyed shop, and a very disheveled Ollivander running to them. As he approached the couple noticed that he was carrying a tray of gemstones and understanding what the problem was and raised their hands which were suddenly grasping something. Harry and Daphne presented the sapphire and emerald respectively to Ollivander without a word snatched them out of their hands and raced to the back, the couple hot on his heels. They entered the room just in time to see the thrashing magic pushing Ollivander back while he placed the gemstones on the top. As soon as they were positioned the staffs flew towards Harry and Daphne giving the couple barely enough time to raise their hands to catch the flying staffs.

"Five-foot with a secondary gemstone focus, some of my most powerful and best work, I hope you understand when I say each is 500 because of the hassle and work to make. They retract to wand form and thus can be stored in a wand holster."

Harry just nodded vaguely and flashed his right ring finger while he made the rest invisible, a feature he knew was possible due to the memories he gained from Daphne's memories and he had made all of them invisible when he left the bank. Upon seeing the ring Ollivander was dumbfounded before shaking himself and leading them to the counter where he had Harry stamp a piece of parchment that had a transfer of 1000 Galleons for the staffs, which he would take to the Goblins to obtain the Galleons. After successfully paying, Harry and Daphne retracted the staffs and placed them in their holsters before removing their portkey and saying, 'Hogwarts'. They felt the tug in their navel and then they were in Hogwarts on the seventh floor, they were getting up when both of them were paralyzed by a soft, strained, hopeful voice saying," Help! My Lord, My Lady, please…"

Hey Guys Sorry this chapter is late, I thought I could finish it by Sunday after I got my laptop fixed, but school got in the way and so it's a little late.

Either way, hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and it wasn't completely boring.
