chapter 1

Lion-o was the king of New Thundera. The people were delighted when he took a queen. Her name was Liosia and they both loved each other very much. Lion-O and Liosia were loved by their people too. Things couldn't be more perfect.

Soon Tygra and Cheetara had twin boys both happy and healthy and growing up fast. A couple of years later Bengali and Pumyra were blessed with a daughter. Panthro and his wife had their daughter who was a bit older than the other cubs. All these cubs were growing up fast.

Liosia saw the cubs and began to want one of her own. Lion-o had the same wish. But after years of trying they began to despair of ever getting there wish. The doctor to Liosia there was a chance she wouldn't be able to have children. Liosia was shocked and saddened.

Lion-o comforted her. "Liosia I promise I will be here for you no matter what," Lion-o said.

"I thought you would leave me for another woman," Liosia said.

"Never," Lion-o said. "I love you," he said.

"I love you too," Liosia said.

"So let's not give up," Lion-o said.

"Okay then," Liosia said.

Lion-o was encouraging to Liosia and in return she encouraged him. Meanwhile the council wasn't happy that the royal bloodline didn't have an heir. "That lioness the doctor said there is a chance she is unable to have children." a council member said.

"He also said he needs to run more tests on Lion-o and Liosia there still could be a chance so stop your complaining," said another.

Lion-o and Liosia were still trying to encourage each other. Then they saw a shooting star and wished for a baby.

Many doctors examined them and said they said the chances of Liosia conceiving are very slim. Lion-o decided to keep trying and comforted Liosia through it all. Pumyra suggested fertility treatment as did the other doctors. But Lion-o and Liosia wanted to try for at least another six months before they do the treatment.

One day Liosia woke up not feeling like herself four months down the road. She felt sick and dizzy she thought she was going to vomit. She was wondering what was going on. Lion-o saw and made her stay in bed.

"Where is Liosia?" A council member asked.

"She's resting in bed Council member Alox," Lion-o said.

"I say she should be kicked out, she hasn't given you an heir so get yourself a new wife, and that is what you should do," Alox said.

"No I love her," Lion-o said. "I don't care if she hasn't given me a child yet, I am happy just be with her so back off!" he said.

"What is going on here?" said an older council member.

"Lord Lion-o refuses to listen to my reason that Liosia should be divorced and kicked out of cat's lair, she hasn't given him a child so that is right to do, council member Jalit" Alox said.

"Shut your mouth before I punch it in!" Lion-o said.

"Alox that is no way to act and it's against the code of Thundera. So that is enough, if we hear anymore of that you will be kicked off the council," Jalit told him.

Alox left in a huff.

"Don't let what Alox said get to you, everything will be fine," Jalit said.

"I sure hope so," Lion-o said.

"You seem a little upset other than Alox's comment is everything alright?" Jalit asked.

"Liosia's not feeling well I think she's getting sick," Lion-o said.

"I hope she feels better soon," Jalit said.

Liosia still wasn't feeling well for the next few days. Lion-o was really worried and told Pumyra. "I'll take a look," Pumyra said. Pumyra examined Liosia and made sure to check everything. Pumyra knew what was going with Liosia and smiled. "Congratulations Liosia you're pregnant," she said.

Lion-o was with them. "Our prayers had been answered," Lion-o said.

"Yes they have, I am so happy," Liosia said starting to cry. Then Lion-o kissed her.

Lion-o saw the council members. "I have some good news, my wife Liosia is pregnant," Lion-o said.

"That's wonderful congratulations Lion-o," the council members said.

"So she's pregnant at long last better be a son, because that is best," Alox said.

"I don't care, in fact I would be pleased if I had a daughter," Lion-o said.

"Why? A son will carry on the family name, and bring true honor to the Thundercats," Alox said.

"Alox, the law is more different than your belief," Jagron said. Jagron was raised by Jaga and taught by him and knew it in and out. "The law states that if a daughter is born she will go through the trails and prove she is worthy of being the lady of the Thundercats. She will still lead them in her own way like every lord of the Thundercats has done. She will learn the code and find her own way to bring true honor to the Thundercats. Even though a daughter has never been born to the royal family and Lion-o's wife bears a girl she will have the same rights as a Thundercat like if a son is born to Lion-o," he said.

"Jagron is right Alox, you must understand things, and not push what you think is right for Thundera on others to agree with, true you have a right to your opinion but you must understand not everybody should follow your opinions. The council is here to help Lion-o make decisions and solve problems for Thundera. Not tell him what to do and what he should believe and who should be with or what kind of child he should have. It's his life, and he is in charge of it." Linor said.

"Alox if you continue with this anymore you will be punished," Lion-o said.

"Yes lord Lion-o," Alox grumbled.

Now Lion-o and Liosia could look forward to the baby they were going to have.
