A Not So Typical Reincarnated Jaunefic

Chapter 1 - Hello, Other Me. I'm From the Future.

A/N: We all know who the protagonist in this fic is already, what were you expecting from a RWBY fanfic? Ruby Rose? HA! As if the top fanfics in this fandom isn't full of Jaune right now and—yeah okay, well, it's a reincarnation fanfic with Jaune but things are a bit different here.

You know why? Because selfcest.

Jaune's going to take "Go fuck yourself." to a whole other level here. (Though the actual story where Jaune actually fucks his other self is on my other fic 'To Fuck Oneself' that I have still yet to update, I promise I'm working on it, it's just hard to get through it because of how ridiculous that entire fic is and I can't stop laughing at every other paragraph I write of it.)

… Enough of my rambling though, here's the story.

Jaune groaned and put a hand to his head as he finally woke up… finding himself in an all too familiar place.

Altern, his hometown… or at least, what seemed to be his hometown. What he'd learned in the future certainly made him question the validity of that, much less the identity of his family—but that's something else entirely. He just had to make sense of what the date is right now and…

"Hey." Jaune suddenly saw a hand outstretched to him, reminding him that he was still sat on the cold hard dirt. "Need a hand there?"

Not one to refuse a helping hand, Jaune took the offer, "Thanks." he smiled, and got up with the stranger's help.

Though, now that he looked closely…

Blonde, blue eyes, metal chestplate, brown fingerless gloves… and an extremely familiar weapon strapped to her side.

His eyes met hers, and he took a moment to process things… "Uh…?" he tilted his head, something that she seemed to copy as well.

"Yes?" she blinked, realizing something, "Oh right! I forgot to introduce myself first! Silly me~" the girl giggled and stepped back "The name's Jeanne Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, guys love it!" she said with a grin.

Jaune just wondered if he always looked that goofy when he was introducing himself to people like that back then. And… Jeanne? As in, the feminine form of Jaune?

"What's your name?" Jeanne asked innocently, tilting her head to the side again, "Hey… wait…" she paused, narrowing her eyes as she stepped back again and looked him up and down.

This is probably what they meant by not making a deal with the devil (or in his case, the Dark God). This was certainly not what he'd asked for when he said he wanted to go back and fix everything…

Jaune just smiled and decided to get the introductions over with, "Hey, other me. My name's Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it… though over time I've learned that the last part wasn't really true." he chuckled, "Would you believe me if I told you that I came from the future?"

"Eeeehhhh?!" to her credit, Jeanne's widening eyes looked cute as heck.

"Wait, wait, wait, so you're saying that you guys had to basically try and defeat an Immortal Witch all the while the world is slowly burning down to the ground?" Jeanne asked, dumbfounded,

"Yep." Jaune smiled as he took a sip of his coffee.

"That's bullshit." Jeanne narrowed her eyes,

"It was." Jaune nodded,

"And also incredibly unfair." she said, putting a finger to her chin,

"It was." Jaune nodded again, placing his cup of coffee down. He looked around the coffee shop. "Still as empty as ever huh… this place is certainly the same at least."

"Yeah, old lady never really gets much customers here, but she still likes opening it up." Jeanne shrugged, "Anyways, I'm going to get into a really crazy adventure huh?"

"Yep… assuming that the Dark God didn't just throw me into a whole different universe just for his entertainment." Jaune sighed, "At least I met you first, had it been anyone else, I'm sure I'd be dead by now or branded as crazy or something." he frowned, "Even worse if I ended up going to the manor first…"

"Oh that wouldn't have been good." Jeanne blinked, "Violet would have definitely screamed."

"And I would get skewered to death by dad." he continued,

"If mom doesn't burn you by a stake first." she supplied, nodding. "... Still doesn't explain how you're going to explain everything to them."

"And I can't exactly go anywhere else because someone is bound to notice Crocea Mors in two places at the same time at some point… especially not if Uncle sees it suddenly."

"Ooh…" Jeanne cringed, "Yeah. We're really in a tough situation huh?"

"We?" Jaune raised a brow at her, an incredulous look on his face,

"I mean, you're me, and I'm you right? Just… some things are a bit different." Jeanne said, gesturing to… certain parts of the body.

Jaune frowned, but nodded, "You certainly have a point there." then he went silent, and so did she.

They started to think about what they could possibly do…

Then, their eyes widened and they looked at each other,

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Jeanne asked,

"It's a stupid crazy idea—" Jaune started to have a smile on his face

"But it might just work." Jeanne grinned, "Alright… let's do this!"

In hindsight, maybe trying to convince your parents that you somehow cloned yourself through the power of magic and science wasn't the best idea, but what else could they have tried?

So… Now, here Jaune was, basically chained to a metal pole, facing his father. Even in this world he still looked the same. Gruff, blonde, but with that sort of carefree aura… that carefree aura not being here at all though.

"So, who are you, really?" Alexander frowned, "Your Aura is basically the same as hers, and Crocea Mors is as authentic as it could be..." he paused, glancing at the weapon now in his hands, "Why are you here?"

"Dad." Jaune sighed, "Let's stop with the games… please, tell me, what is our family legacy, really?" he asked, staring his father in the eye.

Alexander looked back, a soft look on his face, "Right. Nobody's looking here anymore." he sighed, freeing Jaune from his chains with a swipe of his hand, making the chains go white before disappearing. "Let's go to the temple." he said, throwing Jaune's weapon back to him. "You were wise in not bringing Jeanne into this one."

"Rather than that, I had a feeling that you had a reason to not tell me about it back then. Probably because my Aura was locked… isn't that right?"

"I can't say for the Alexander of your world, but you're right for me here." he nodded, "Jeanne, though chosen by the blade… has much to learn and experience before receiving the true Arc Legacy." as they walked, the trees around them shifted, the two of them glowing white all the while.

Mountains. Oceans. Snow. Desert. The scenery shifted seemingly endlessly for a moment as the two walked through this mysterious road.

"So this is how it should look…" Jaune muttered, glancing around the shifting surroundings. "The one I had experienced was more… warped. When I had eventually received the Legacy… it was tainted."

"Likely a side effect of Salem's destruction." Alexander said, "You said that the world collapsed even further after Salem and Ozma's destruction?"

"Yes." Jaune nodded, "That, at the very least, I haven't told Jeanne of."

"I noticed. Otherwise she'd have reacted differently to my Aura upon coming back with you." Alexander sighed, "Jaune… Remnant is far bigger than it has any right to be, you know that right?"

"I know. Meeting the Brother Gods themselves certainly wasn't something I had expected after my desperate attempt of fixing everything, but… here I am."

"Here you are indeed." Alexander nodded, "Though it seems there are some… side effects with your deal." he said, pointing to the fact that Jaune was 17 years old this time, just as old as Jeanne basically.

"I had expected that, at least… just not Jeanne." Jaune frowned, "I don't know what I'm even considered as in this world."

"A wanderer. A planeswalker. A traveler." Alexander shrugged, "People like you could be considered as many things. In fact, in the world you've come from, I have a feeling that there's a certain person there who would be considered as a wanderer like you."

"There was? The only people I could think of to fit that don't seem to have contributed much at all…"

"Raven Branwen."

"Raven?" Jaune blinked, "Though thinking about it now…"

"She doesn't exist in this world. I also have a feeling that Yang Xiao Long was not actually her child, it was just a convenient coincidence for her existence there." Alexander chuckled. "Though, to think that the wanderer here would be an Arc… an Arc of my line, as well. It feels… odd."

Jaune frowned, "Odd?" then the surroundings seemed to have stopped shifting… and now they were standing in front of a large temple. "This looks different…"

"Come, Jaune. There are many tales in Remnant that point to the existence of Gods and Magic… our bloodline, is no different. Rather, it would be more accurate to say that we were the first."

"The first?" Jaune asked, but kept his mouth open as he saw a very different scene upon entering the temple. It wasn't run down or tainted as he'd found it in the future. No, it was pristine, and, most of all, he could now see those portraits that had been destroyed or been missing when he had come here then.

Many generations of Arcs, from time immemorial.

The Arc Legacy, it seemed, was much larger than he'd expected.

"The first Magicians… the very first Wizard." Alexander explained, turning around with a glowing ball of light floating on his hand. "This time, Jaune, you'll receive the legacy officially." he smiled, "Welcome home, son."

Despite himself, Jaune couldn't help but cry.

He missed his family so, so much.

"I'm sorry… I'm sorry for leaving…"

"It's fine. I knew you would come back home eventually." Alexander said, "And at least now… I'm sure of that. I'm looking forward to where Jeanne ends up now, actually." he chuckled, "With you here…"

"The Kingdoms won't have to fall." Jaune nodded, "Humanity… will not fall. This, I promise, in the name of Arc."
