Hello, I hope you are doing great and are staying safe. I was looking through some old stories and saw one I wanted to rewrite, so I changed something's around and we have this.I hope you enjoy and I own nothing.

"Thank you so much again for your help, and here's your reward."

Yukino smiled, taking the small bag of Jewels from the elderly man "It's no problem at all, have a good day" she said before she started to walk away.

Yukino was currently on a mission to help deliver a rare item from a merchant in Crocus, to a customer in Oak Town.

Thankfully now that Phantom Lord disbanded Oak Town was able to become much more of a welcoming place. Yukino decided to get a late train back so she could check out the local stores; since she never gets to enjoy being in other cities, mostly because she just heads straight back to the guild.

Yukino was enjoying the nice weather and stores; which were built like log cabins giving the town an older style, though after looking into a small jewelry store she saw a necklace that caught her eye. Yukino picked it up though it wasn't anything amazing; being a pendent on a black string, it was the pendant that got her attention; a white dragon which made her think of the Sabertooth's guilds master.

It was a loosely open secret that Yukino and Sting had a crushes on one another; to the point where the guild had a bet going on when they'll get together.

Yukino always admired Sting's strength even when she first joined Sabertooth, but after the Grand Magic Games and him wanting to willingly fight the other guilds to bring her back made her realize that he's changed so much in a short time and changing the guild and saving her from Abyss Horn made her fall for him.

Yukino blushed at the thought but bought the necklace anyway 'Hopefully he'll like it, it might bring back good memories of Weisslogia.' Yukino then left the store; feeling hungry she went to buy a small packed lunch and went to a local park.

Yukino walked into the park and looked at the families enjoying the day with kids playing on swing sets and slides, while the parents were chatting to themselves. Yukino smiled as she walked to a tree and sat down in front of it, when she was about to bite into an apple till she heard sniffling.

Yukino was surprised to hear that but looked behind the tree she was sitting up against, her eyes went wide when she saw a little girl sitting there wearing what looked like a poorly stitched together dress, some worn out shoes but Yukino was more concerned about the scrapes she had on her body.

"Are you ok?" Yukino asked making the girl jump, staring at Yukino with her bright blue eyes. Yukino tries to calm the girl down saying "I'm not going to hurt you, my name's Yukino, what's your name?"

The girl looked Yukino but turned her head; looking at the grass she mumbled "S-Snow."

Yukino smiles as she knelt down to stroke the girl's head; who was caught off guard at first but the feeling of Yukino running her hand through her hair was very soothing. Yukino smiled as the girl leaned into her hand "That's a lovely name Snow, have you lost your parents?" Snow looked up when she felt Yukino move her hand away from her but she wasn't expecting her to gave her an apple.

Snow accepted it but said "I don't have any parents" and started to eat the apple, Yukino went wide eyed at how fast Snow was eating the apple 'It's like she hasn't eaten in days.'

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" The pair looked up to see an older woman slowly running towards them.

Snow stiffened up and Yukino stood up "I'm sorry I didn't-"

"Not you, her!" the woman said to Snow before grabbing the girls arm and forcing her to her feet. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop running off!"

Yukino saw the two walk away but Snow shouted "Thank you for the apple."

Yukino decided to follow them, keeping her distance she couldn't hear what the woman was saying to Snow who couldn't keep up with the speed the woman was walking.

They walked into a three story building and a black gate closed after them and Yukino noticed a sign on the gate 'Oak Town…Orphanage?' Yukino thought to herself but before she went in she saw a piece of paper on a notice board saying there was an adoption day tomorrow, she looked back at the building one more time before leaving.

Later

Sting was looking over some forms that required his signature and guild stamp, but he kept on looking at the clock annoying the Shadow Dragon Slayer; who got roped in to help Sting get through the paper work.

"She'll be here soon." Rogue deadpanned making Sting grunt.

"I'm just worried, she should've been back by now I'm just being a good guild master." Rogue rolled his eyes at his Sting's reasoning

"While you may be right she's more than capable of handling herself, plus you're always the first person to greet her no matter what; even when Orga came back from his three week mission you just waved at him."

Sting frowned while Rogue sighed "Why don't you just tell her how you feel already? Yukino is an amazing woman, she might say yes to someone else if you're too late." Rogue said before leaving Sting to do the last of the paper work.

Rogue's word stung Sting worse than a punch from Natsu, Sting nodded in agreement he never admitted it but he had always had a thing for Yukino, when she first started the guild Sting did recognize that Yukino was a strong mage but he always had a chip on his shoulder thanks to Jiemma's influence so he always kept his distance.

Sting would admit the Grand Magic Games changed him and the guild a lot, losing to Fairy Tail knocked Sabertooth off of the top ranking. Sting took it on himself to rebuild the guild into one where everyone is welcome; and they are family no matter what.

The guild doors opened and Yukino walked in and went straight to the bar, Rufus was the first to greet her "Good evening Yukino, how did your mission go?"

Yukino smiled and said "It went well" she said before going towards the bar.

Yukino stayed at her table for the rest of the day in her own would but all she could think about was Snow.

Sting looked over at Yukino as he remembered Rogue's words he felt his chest tighten 'You can do this Sting' he thought to himself before walking over.

Yukino looked up and smiled seeing Sting was about to sit down in front of her "How are you Sting-sama?" Yukino asked as she blushed.

Sting just smirked "Not bad, just had a lot of paperwork to sign off anyway how come you came back so late?"

Yukino explained that she went shopping after her mission was done. "That reminds me I bought you something."

Sting raised a brow as Yukino passed him the necklace she explained why she got it and Sting looked at it and immediately put it around his neck "Thank you, I appreciate the thought Yukino anyway why are you sat here on your own?"

Yukino remembered about Snow and muttered "I just have someone on my mind, I'm sorry Sting-sama but I have to go."

Yukino left to go back to her home leaving the White Dragon Slayer dumbstruck. Rogue walked over after hearing the conversation he put a hand on Sting's shoulder and Sting only stormed to his office; leaving everyone stunned.

Yukino's apartment

Yukino walked through the door of her apartment and let out a sigh out of relief 'It's good to be home.'

Yukino's apartment was pretty cheap; mostly because it was away from the guild. Sabertooth were starting to regain there reputation so novice mage's were starting to get apartments close to the guild making apartments away from the guild really cheap.

Night started to fall and Yukino was watching a lacrima movie but her couldn't stop thinking about Snow, she turned off the movie to go to bed but she looked at her spare room and she pictured Snow staying with her.

'C-Could I give her a good life?'

Yukino thought about her giving Sabertooth a second chance, and what Snow had gone through with the scrapes she had, with that Yukino decided "I'm bringing her home!"

The Next Day

It was a cloudy day but the warm breeze made it another good day, and for Yukino it was the day she was going to give Snow a second chance at a good life.

Yukino made sure she had her zodiac keys but before leaving she heard tapping at her window, she turned to see Lector and Frosch.

The two exceeds flew in when she opened the door "How you doin Yukino?" Lector asks as he sat on Yukino's coffee table.

"I'm very well, thank you." Yukino answered "Actually can you two help me out with something?"

"What?" Frosch asked in a usual happy tone.

Yukino answered "Can you both tell Sting-sama that I won't be coming to the guild for a few days?" The two exceeds faced each other the turned back to the celestial mage worryingly.

"Is everything ok we can tell them if you're in trouble" Lector told Yukino who only shook her head.

"No no I'm fine, I just have to go back to Oak Town and I'll be busy for a few days."

The two exceeds nodded and flew back to the guild while Yukino left her apartment to get the train.

Meanwhile

The kinds of the Oak Town Orphanage were s buzz due the adoption day, all the kids were dressed in their very best clothes. The kids were talking in their groups till one noticed kid noticed Snow sitting at a table trying to smooth out her best dress.

"You don't think you're getting adopted do you, who would want to adopt a freak like you?" Snow looked at the group of four kids and turned her head.

"W-Well there was a woman I met yesterday she was really nice-"

"She was being nice to you because she felt sorry for you, why would she adopt you? I mean look at your weird blue hair and eyes, and those freakish teeth." The main girl said as Snow looked down at her lap.

Yukino ran her tongue across her teeth the only thing wrong with them was her larger than normal canines but they've always been like that.

"So why don't you go back to your room so you don't embarrass yourself when you're the only one not get adopted."

The group walked away leaving Snow to try and stop the tears from flowing, but she held hope 'Please Yukino…please come.'

Later

The parents started to come in kids were going to adopted, with every that got picked Snow's hopes were getting smaller and smaller.

Snow looked at the group of kids who were bullying her earlier with smiles on there faces and Snow was about to walk back to her room till she heard the caretaker talking to someone that made her stop.

"Oh it's you, listen I'm sorry if Snow bothered you yesterday-"

"Actually I'm here to take her home with me, if she hasn't been taken already." Snow looked and saw the light blue haired woman standing at the door and she Yukino saw her she smiled and Snow ran towards her, being lifted up to hug and she only thought one thing.

'Thank you.'
