Hey Everyone.

So I saw Onward last night, thought it had a pretty good plot, so I decided to write a fic about it, since I saw the world had potential for many more stories, as well as explore the day-to-day lives of those living in this world. Also, because Ian and Barley are sibling goals, and I wanted to write about them. Here's the prologue; first chapter to come soon. Enjoy!

Prologue:

Long ago, the world was full of wonder. It was adventurous, exciting, and best of all, there was magic. And that magic helped all in need. But it wasn't easy to master. And so the world found a simpler way to get by.

Not as long ago [technically one month ago], two elven brothers named Ian and Barley Lightfoot went on a magical quest to see their father. It was dangerous, and tested them both in more ways than one, but they both made it, growing closer as brothers along the way. Ian, now aided with a magical staff, works on his magic with his older brother, trying not to cause any more trouble along the way.

However, they soon learn that life, with or without magic, is an adventure in itself... Though magic tends to make it more interesting.

Also, I don't own Onward or Pixar AT All.
