A/N: Hi guys! So, I'm BACK AHAHAHA! YEAH YOU CAN'T GET RID OF ME THAT EASILY! Also let me say... Omg the amount of reviews really surprised me. Like, I didn't expect this many.

Book-Girl: Yeah I know :( Sorry. I feel like I could've done better, but this is my first time-travel-related fanfiction, so bear with me plz! Thanks for the input 3. I know, everything kinda went by fast XD. ;) ik that's my fave part, too (Other Parts of the Fanfiction: hey! we're your children, too!) LMAO. Haha it's posted! Voila, like magic!

Emilia-Jahrwoods: Haha thanks. 3 I hope you keep reading.

MidnightBunnyy: Ikr, like idk what Shannon M was thinking there, but it is pretty creative XD.

Linhsongisthebest: Yes I am def gonna do that. Wait, does that count as spoilers? O.o well yeah. Anyways, that was in the plan. It wouldn't be any fun if I just made her travel to the past and not do anything, right?! Lol. The answer to your question: I will explain it in the future ;) and that was a sort of pun that was unintentional lmao. Yeah, I agree with you. It kind of seems like Shannon's been procrastinating revealing anything, or maybe she just wants to test how much she can drag the story on. I love her books, but she honestly needs to start giving us answers.

flufydinos4life: Thank yoooou! ;).

ArrowOfTheMoonlark: Aww thanks! I'm glad you like it! I WILL! *does soldier salute except for writers*

"Um, who?" Sophie pretended to not know. Inwardly she cringed a little. She hated lying to Fitz's face, whether this was the Fitz from her time period— she mentally laughed at that one, it sounded as if she was part dinosaur or something— or the Fitz from her past.

Fitz smiled his usual moviestar smile, his teeth sparkling in the museum's artificial light. "We've been looking for you for twelve years, Sophie."

Well, duh, thought Sophie. I already knew that. Her lips froze in place. What could she say to make it seem believable? "I'm sorry, what?" she finally choked out nervously, her palms sweating. She wondered, with her heart racing in her chest, what would happen if Fitz knew she was from the future. She gritted her teeth. That would not be good.

Fitz shook his head, a small smile still on his handsome face. Then in a split-second, Sophie decided what to do. She slowly backed away and then started sprinting for the exit. "Sophie, wait!" Fitz shouted from inside the museum. People's heads turned with curiosity at the oddly attractive boy yelling after her.

Sophie braced herself. She was ready for the driver. She reached the street, only there was no driver. Glancing around in confusion, Sophie tried to find the driver. She needed this to happen as a logical reason for her to believe Fitz.

She walked onto the crackly cobblestone, eyebrows furrowed as she tried to figure out what happened, when suddenly a huge car whizzed down the street. The driver's eyes widened.

Sophie froze in place as the smell of gas drifted into her senses.

The car was feet away from her when it swerved onto the sidewalk. As if in slow motion, deja-vu filled Sophie's brain. The streetlamp! The car drifted and crashed into the streetlamp. The rest was a blur. Sophie pulled at her mental core and pushed, the lamp flipping in mid-air before landing back onto its original post. Maybe a bit more grandeous than she was capable of at this time, but honestly, why not? All the more reason for her to believe Fitz.

Sophie exhaled in relief, cracking her knuckles as she leaned against the lamppost with a smile on her face as she awaited Fitz. 3, 2, 1- "How did you do that?" Fitz asked breathlessly.

"Um... I don't know," lied Sophie. Wow, she really needed to stop looking so smug.

She stepped back from the streetlamp and followed Fitz's gaze. The driver was watching their whole exchange with wide eyes. He had seen Sophie's showing of telekinesis.

"We need to get out of here," Fitz told her. "Out of sight." Sophie nodded and trekked behind the teal-eyed elf. They didn't travel for long when they reached an intersection. Fitz turned to Sophie, raising an eyebrow. "Which way?"

Sophie blinked and glanced around half-heartedly. "I guess this way," she decided, crossing the street. She figured the park would be the best option. Few prying eyes.

Once they reached the entryway, Sophie softly smiled and led Fitz to a quiet bench beside a tiny pond. Which for the most part was clean, except for the plastic bag sunk halfway in the water.

They sat down on opposite sides of the bench and Sophie couldn't help but appreciate this peaceful moment with Fitz. A hot tear trickled down her pale cheeks as she stared at Fitz and his perfection.

She missed these unawkward silences between them. In her present, they had basically broken up (they weren't really official) and truthfully the only thing Sophie wanted was to be close to him again. Now—well, in the time she belonged in— even a high-five would be really uncomfortable.

She cleared her throat and forced a small scowl to surface on her face. "What do you want?"

"I'm here to help. I promise," he answered.

Sophie crossed her legs and steadily faked a glare at him. "Why were you looking for me?"

Fitz fidgeted in his seat, running a hand through his dark brown hair. "I-I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell you," he finally said.

"Then how do I know if I can trust you?" Sophie retaliated with a tiny smirk.

Fitz paused to consider her words. "Okay, fine. I don't know much, though," he warned. "My father sent me to find you. We've been looking for a specific girl your age, and I was supposed to observe and report back to him, like always. I wasn't supposed to talk to you." He stopped talking to frown, like he was disappointed with himself. "I just couldn't figure you out. You don't make sense."

Ha! Tell me something I don't know, Sophie thought. She suppressed a snort and instead brought herself up higher, sitting stiffly with her shoulders squared and jaw clenched. "What's that supposed to mean?" she said.

"It means, you're... different than what we expected. Your eyes, for one thing. They really threw me off," he explained.

Sophie didn't say anything but then realized she should. Fitz was expecting a reaction. "Why?" she quickly blurted out, uncrossing her legs and frowning at Fitz.

"We all have blue eyes," he told her. "When I saw them, I figured we had the wrong girl again. But we didn't. You're really one of us." His expression emitted something close to awe.

"Meaning?" Sophie cocked her head to side eye him.

"This isn't easy to tell you, so I'll just say it." He fixated his gaze on her, making Sophie's insides churn. "You're not human."

I definitely aren't! Sophie thought. Mixed memories of after this, of Mr. Forkle initiating her Inflictor abilities, of peeking into King Dimitar's mind (which she really wish hadn't happened), and tons more she really really wanted to forget. Clearing her jumbled thoughts, she stared at him. "Are you okay?" she asked. "I'm definitely a human, last I checked! Or am I actually a unicorn?" she jokingly remarked. Well, you're part alicorn if that helps, she reminded herself.

Fitz furrowed his brows and shook his head. "No. You're an elf."

Sophie snorted. "Yeah right," she smoothly lied. "So tell me, am I supposed to be working at Gringotts Bank, or maybe with the Keebler Elves at the Keebler Elf Tree?"

Fitz frowned. "What-"

"Nevermind," Sophie interrupted. "I knew something wasn't right with me." She got up from the bench, dusting her pants off.

"Wait, you believe me?" Fitz blinked confusedly.

Sophie shrugged. "I always figured I was weird."

"Well that was easier than I thought," muttered Fitz. "Anyways," he grinned at Sophie, holding a small crystal up into the light. "I'll be back soon," he assured her, stepping into the crystal's rays and disappearing.

A/N: You guys think maybe I rushed through this too fast? Idk. I feel like if I were Sophie and went back in time to when she wasn't supposed to know all the stuff she did, then I'd probably get impatient after a bit and just go ahead and say I believe Fitz without trying too elaborately to make it seem like I was completely and utterly clueless. You know?
