My Amazing Man

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except for the OC(s).

Yo! I am back with another Naruto x Female-Kyuubi one-shot story.

And I have decided, I am going to make it a series of one-shots with my favorite pairing of Naruto x Female-Kyuubi.

The next one in the line is, My Tsundere Demon Queen. It will be full of hilarity and wholesome lewdness.

This one starts at a rather heavy theme, but like always, it will get better and better until it is a full-blown wholesome romance. This one doesn't contain any lemon or any sort, but the next one will.

If you still want to read a lemon, read my previous story in this series, My Mistress. It does have one in the second chapter. You can read it there.

Let me know what you guys think of this by reviewing this, and also what you guys think about making it a one-shot series.

So, without any further ado, let's get into this!

Numb.

If anybody asked him what he felt at the moment, he would say, he felt numb.

His whole body felt sweaty, stomach queasy.

Any moment, and he felt he would vomit.

Bile rose up in his throat, but he forcefully swallowed it down.

He didn't know how long he stood there, it could have been just five minutes, fifty minutes, or even five hours.

To him, It just felt like an eternity.

Every groan. Every moan. Every gasp.

Everything he heard as he stood there, felt like a stake being driven straight through his heart.

He felt like someone was choking the very air out of him, it was getting hard to breathe the longer he stood there.

Something wet was rolling down his peach-colored cheeks.

Tears.

He was crying, he realized.

Why him?

A question he asked himself for the umpteenth time.

Didn't she say she loved him?

Didn't he try to show her how much he loved her every. Single. Day.

Even when she was being… difficult most of the times, he still told her he loved her.

Even when she started talking about him in front of him, he still kept a smile on his face, no matter how difficult it was for him.

Was everything a lie?

Everything?

If it was not, then why? Why?

WHY?

Just why could he hear his girlfriend having sex with someone else?

Someone he recognized.

Someone she always kept talking about, even if they were together on a date or anywhere in general.

More questions begin to enter his mind.

Was this the first time?

Or was it happening for quite some time?

Was she doing it with just him or there were more involved?

The more he questioned, the more the despair set in.

In the end, he couldn't take it anymore.

He turned around and ran.

He ran as fast as he could from there.

Not looking back. Never looking back.

Even as he bumped into several people on his way, no one said anything to him neither he apologized.

Perhaps, everyone could see his face, could see his tears, could hear his choking sobs.

He didn't care, he just ran.

He ran, and ran, and RAN.

Until finally his legs gave out until finally, he couldn't stand, until finally...

...he was alone.

Here, he could cry all he wanted, he could scream all he wanted.

And he did just that.

He screamed until his throat got hoarse.

He cried until his eyes dried out.

Because here…

…was home.

Nobody would disturb him, nobody would ask him why he was crying, for now.

And that was what he just wanted.

Until finally, he couldn't anymore.

In the living room, he finally laid on the sofa with his arms covering his puffy eyes.

The ticking of the clock was the only sound reverberating throughout the otherwise pin-drop silent home.

He needed someone.

Someone to talk to.

It was getting suffocating as he laid there.

One hand tiredly reached in his jean's pocket and pulled his phone out.

He opened the lock of his phone and another choked sob tried to force his way out of him by seeing the picture being used as his wallpaper.

Of him and her.

His fingers moved across the screen slowly.

He opened the contacts and found the person he wanted, no, needed at the moment.

A lone finger slid to the right and the number was dialed.

He raised his phone to his ear and it didn't take a moment for the person he needed to pick up the phone.

"Hello! How are you doing, Naru~? Are you missing me? Should I come home earlier? Is that why you called me?"

Hearing the soft, playful feminine voice on the phone almost brought a smile on his face.

Almost.

In his state right now, he couldn't bring himself to smile.

Still, no words came out of his mouth because his throat felt too dry to utter words.

"Naruto? Say something. Are you there?"

Naruto still didn't say anything in return and just blankly listened to the voice on the other end.

"Naruto, are you alright? If you are, say something."

He didn't, and the voice on the other end started to sound more and more worried.

"Naruto, please say something. You are seriously making me worried now."

Finally, he said something.

"...Kura…"

Just a word,-his nickname for her, really!-and that too, came out hoarsely.

The line went terribly silent at that and then,

"I am coming right now. Don't you dare do something, do you hear me?"

"...I didn't say anything…"

"You don't need to. Just hold up, I am coming, and until then, please don't do anything."

"...Okay…"

"Please, don't do anything, I will be there in minutes, alright?"

"...Mhmm…"

Abruptly, she hung up the phone and it slipped out of his grasp and fell on the carpeted floor.

He didn't care, or rather, couldn't bring himself to care.

Once again, he just laid there, staring blankly at the white ceiling.

Naruto tried to close his eyes, but they snapped open a moment later at remembering the sounds he heard, and unwillingly, his brain conjuring up repulsive images.

So, he didn't close his eyes again for more than a fraction of a second and he just laid there, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Seconds ticked into minutes and every minute felt terribly and horribly long.

He absently heard the door open of his-their!-home.

Soft sounds of footfalls reached his ears, but he still didn't move.

Abruptly, they stopped and a soft voice-softer than he ever heard her speak,-reached him, "...Hey."

He didn't move his head but his eyes moved and saw her.

Standing leaning against the entrance to their living room, she stood in all her slightly messy but still beautiful glory.

She was a head shorter than him, standing at a good five feet three inches to his five foot ten. Silky orange hair framed her slightly chubby round face and went down till her lower back.

Her arms were crossed over her modest bust that was covered by her full-sleeved, black tee-shirt, over it was her slightly messy apron she wears during her waitress shift - that she probably forgot to remove in order to get here as soon as she could. Slender waist and wide hips, followed by long legs,-not that long, really!-clad in form-fitting blue denim jeans.

Ruby red eyes peered at him and full lips set in a tight frown.

He didn't reply and just stared at her.

Her frown deepened. She pushed herself from the wall and started walking towards him.

Her ruby red eyes gazed over at his form once, his spikey mop of shiny, golden-blond hair looked more spiky and frazzled than ever. His sapphire eyes set on a chiseled round face with whisker-like birthmarks; looked red and swollen from-only Jesus knows how much!- crying. His thin lips were set in a tight line.

His clothes were rumpled.

In other words, he looked like shit.

And she wasn't far from telling him, "You look like shit."

Surprisingly, a disbelieving laugh escaped him, "...Yea...I feel like shit."

Her heart twisted at the sight of him, her whole soul lurched at seeing him utterly broken at the moment.

For her, right now, he was trying to smile, he really was, but all he managed to grimace even more.

Something had happened.

Something terrible had happened because she hadn't seen him like this since he learned how his parents died after continuously asking for many years.

No, he looked worse.

His voice alone told her how he was feeling at the moment.

Betrayed. Broken. Bitter.

She silently sat beside his head on the sofa and pulled his head in her lap, and like always, he didn't resist.

She soothingly ran her fingers through his head and gently massaged his scalp.

Her ruby red eyes peered in his sapphire ones, "What happened?"

Her voice was soft, tone as gentle as it ever could be.

And something inside his core lurched at her gentleness and the dam broke again. Words tumbled out of him and tears ran fresh. "I caught… her... cheating… on me,... Kurama!"

Kurama's hand abruptly stopped as her eyes widened, and she absolutely hissed, "She what?!"

Even as he choked on his words he continued, "I didn't… see it myself… but it was... definitely her! It was her voice… and with him!"

Someone was going to die.

She was going to kill that pink-haired girl, then she was going to drag that raven-haired emo through a meat grinder.

Yup! Only death was a suitable punishment for anyone that hurt him.

And no one, absolutely no one, was going to stop her!

But first, she had more important things at hand, like calming him down at the moment.

Her fingers went back in his hair as she soothingly massaged his scalp, "Shhh. Calm down, Naru. Calm down."

He didn't. His cries turned more hysteric as he clutched her apron and buried his face in her stomach. "I loved… her! I really… did! Was it… not enough, was… asking to… wait till marriage… for... anything physical wrong?!"

A terrible pang lurched her heart at hearing those words.

Why her?

Why did he go for her?

Why not her? Was she not enough for him?

They had always been together-not as in together, together,-since the catholic orphanage they were in.

They had spent the whole of the twenty-one years of their life together, they had been friends from as long as she could remember.

They probably knew each other before even they could talk or walk. They probably just babbled at each other than, now that was a hilarious thought, but it didn't bring a smile on her face at the moment.

Years passed and they moved out of the orphanage and bought a house together. It was an apartment really, but it was their, and it was enough.

She didn't know when she fell in love with him, probably since she was a little girl that was always following him around.

She just knew she was madly in love with him, by the time she learned what love was.

How could she not be? He was always there for her.

When other kids bullied her, he was there.

When she felt like crying because of not having any parents, he was there for her.

Whenever she felt hungry, he cooked for her.

He took care of her and looked after her, always.

He was there for her, always.

It was hard not to fall for someone like that.

Looks didn't matter for her, but it didn't hurt he was very handsome, it was just icing on an already delicious cake.

But when the time came to tell him, she cowered at the thought of rejection and he got snared away by that pink-haired girl.

Biggest. Mistake. Ever.

Perhaps, he viewed her as a sister and never felt the same towards her, but she did damnit!

She really did!

Even then, as his sole support in life, she supported him no matter how much it hurt her.

He was dense in these matters, and that showed when he couldn't pick up the subtle hints she dropped here and there, but she actually lacked the courage to say anything and didn't say anything until it was too late.

She was at equal fault so she couldn't blame him for his denseness, she would never blame him for something he was never at fault, to begin with. Never had and never will.

So, she supported his relationship with that pink-haired girl-Sakura!-for two years straight.

He was miserable during that time, but he really tried his best and he actually loved that girl, no matter how undeserving she was.

She-Haruno!-was always going on and on about 'why couldn't he be more like Sasuke', 'why was he the one with her', and shit like that.

Still!

He put up with her, because sometimes, love makes you do things, and sometimes, idiotic things.

Now, that idiotic girl has crossed the line, no matter what, she will never forgive that girl. Never.

Because when someone earns her ire, it lasts forever.

She wasn't a forgiving person, he was.

Anybody that wronged her, would always be on her shit-list.

And anybody who wrongs her Naruto is on top of that list.

"Is it… my fault, Kura? Was… I not enough? Did my… love for… her wasn't enough?" Her ruby red eyes gazed down at his trembling form sadly.

"No, Naruto. Your love was something she didn't deserve from the beginning. It's her fault, you're not at fault here. Just calm down, Naru. Calm down." She gently replied as she took his hand in her free hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Just calm down, and breathe. Calm down, crying doesn't help anyone, and she definitely isn't worth the pain you're suffering at the moment. Shhhh. Calm down." Her other hand gently ran in his hair as she squeezed his hand to provide reassurance.

His shimmering, puffy eyes peered up at her, "Why? Why... did… she do that?"

'Because she is a fucking, greedy bitch!' she held the waspish retort at the last moment, knowing it will only make the situation worse. Kurama's eyes met his as her full lips pursed in a thin line, "She is just a rotten person, Naruto. Nothing more and nothing less. She never truly loved you. It was always 'Sasuke this and Sasuke that' never once did she praise you. She was a leech on your life Naru, she was just there to suck your money and happiness. A person like that doesn't deserve someone as amazing as you, simple as that."

"I-I-I…"

"Shhhh. Calm down. No need to say anything. Just calm down and try to relax. Do you want water, your voice is getting hoarse?"

Naruto's hand immediately tightened the hold he had on her hand, almost painfully so. "Please! Please don't go anywhere… not now. I don't… need anything… just stay."

Kurama's eyes widened slightly at the desperation in his voice, though, they softened a moment later and her lips quirked up in a small smile, and she squeezed his hand back, "Alright, I am not going anywhere. You can hold my hand as long as you want, I will be here." 'Like you always have been.'

Naruto nodded his head in her lap and reluctantly his bloodshot eyes met her, "I am… really not… at fault here… right?"

She frowned at the doubt in his voice, how the hell was he at fault here? What was he thinking?

Oh right, he was too pure.

She shook her head softly as a warm smile came upon her face, "No Naruto, you're not at fault here. She is the one at fault here. You're the kindest, sweetest, and most loving person I have ever met, she just doesn't deserve you. Don't doubt yourself, she's the one at fault here, not you."

"Really?"

She nodded her head, "Really. Now relax and try to get some rest, you have been crying for the better part of the last hour since I have come. Don't worry, I am here now. I am not going to let anything like that ever happen to you again."

She could see his puffy eyes were dropping, as the sheer mental and physical exhaustion was finally taking his toll.

His sapphire eyes met her, "You will... not leave me, right?"

The sheer hope in his voice made her cringe. Just how much crushed and broke he felt, that he was asking her this question.

Her of all people he knew.

Nonetheless, she smiled at him and she could already see the tension bleeding from his shoulders, "No, I will always be with you, Naru. Just rest."

His eyes finally closed as he managed a sleepy nod.

Her ruby red eyes gazed at him sadly, "Don't worry, Naru. Last time, I was a coward, but this time, I will be together with you until the end. But first, I will fix the pieces back up that she had crushed and then we will get our happy ending."

She leaned down slightly, it was slightly awkward due to their position but she managed to place a chaste kiss at the side of his head.

"After all, it breaks me too if I don't see your smile every day."

"Hngg…" Kurama groaned softly as music entered her ears.

~Anything can be eaten, even if you say no, hahaha…~

~Mikaku ni bouryoku kairaku wo~

Her bleary eyes blinked several times to get adjusted to the light in the room. 'Ugh! This big Overlord fan!'

~Don't stop, don't stop, feeding~

~Don't stop, don't stop, one more bite~

She looked around the room and realized she also fell asleep, her gaze immediately snapped downwards and a small smile quirked up on her lips. He was sleeping like a baby in her lap, she had to force the urge down to rub his whiskers like birthmarks; like she had done in the past way too many times.

~Aa, tarinai, akinai genzai no shoudou yo~

She was thankful he was able to sleep. Then, she started looking around for his phone.

~I am very, very crazy, very~

~Eien ni tomaranai~

~Yoku ni kuwareta mouja no gou I wanna go~

She picked his phone up using only her big-toe and index-toe of her feet. She bent forward a little and grabbed the phone in her hands.

~Very, very tasty, very~

~Seidai ni utage wo~

Fury blazed in her eyes as soon as she saw who was calling her Naruto.

~Sekai no subete kono koukou no naka~

~I just want to eat. How ta-

She removed Naruto's head from her lap and used a pillow as a substitute so he could continue to sleep, and she picked the phone up.

"Where are you, idiot?! I have been waiting for you for the last two hours!"

Kurama pulled the phone away from her ear as soon as she heard the pink-haired girl shouting, she walked out of the room, and only then, did she start talking.

"Oh, and pray tell, Haruno, why were you waiting for Naru after having 'your precious Sasuke' over for the afternoon, huh?"

Her voice was calm, but one could still feel the underlying burning fury in her voice.

Expectantly, Sakura went silent at that. Though when she did speak again, Kurama felt like rolling her eyes, "...You're not Naruto."

"Thank you for stating the obvious, Miss Obvious. But yes, I am not Naruto, I am Kurama, but after what he had heard today from your house today, I am not going to let him talk to you ever, Haruno!" Kurama hissed her name out, as though it may have been poison, and for her, it certainly was.

"But I didn't cheat on him!"

Too late, Sakura realized what she had said in her initial panic.

And Kurama was all the happier to pounce on the weakness she had shown, "Oh, but I didn't even mention that, did I, Haruno? Whatever gave you the idea that this is the reason you will not be able to talk to him? Why did you specifically mention that I wonder?"

"I-I-I th-that wasn't wh-"

"Shut up, you lying bitch!" Kurama absolutely roared, her voice raising several pitches as the dam to her thinly concealed anger finally broke, "You cheated on him, HIM! The only person who decided to actually show love to you! The only person who actually gave you his time of the day! How dare you trample over all the love and kindness he had shown you, Haruno!? How dare you treat him like this?!"

"HOW DARE I? Who the hell are you, huh? I will do whatever I want, he is my boyfriend after all! It's my choice how I treat him, you have got no say in that, BITCH!"

Kurama laughed, "Finally decided to show your true ugly colors, huh, Haruno?" Her face twisted into a snarl, "BUT! I will not stand by any longer, girl! This ends here! Don't you ever dare to call him from now on, don't you even fucking dare to show your face in front of Naruto, do you understand, Haruno?!"

"HAH? Who the hell are you to tell me that?!"

"I am someone who actually cares for him. I am someone who actually loves him from the bottom of my heart. I am someone who can see what kind of amazing man he is, unlike you. I am someone who will never EVER cheat on him like a whore like you, HARUNO!"

"WH-WHORE?! HOW DARE YO-"

Kurama cut her off with her voice taking a dangerous edge, "Look Haruno, go back to sucking that beloved tiny emo dick of yours truly, okay? And listen to this well, get this through that big forehead of yours, don't you ever come near MY Naruto again, don't ever call MY Naruto again, and don't you fucking dare try to think of even hurting MY Naruto again! Because if you do, I promise you, I will hunt you down and I will kill you."

Hearing the line going utterly silent, Kurama continued. "Please, don't think of me as the same person as Naruto, he is the forgiving one between us, I hold onto any grudges I had for forever. Remember this Haruno, this is your first and final warning, don't ever talk to him! This conversation along with any relationship he had with you is now OVER! Remember my warning well, good-bye, Miss Haruno!"

She hung up the call and took some deep breaths to reign in her anger.

She raised her hand and massaged her temples, that was… exhausting.

Still, she got the work done, hopefully, that girl will not pester Naruto any longer.

Because for him to overcome this horrible situation that he found himself in, her staying away would do wonders for his psyche.

And she will stay by his side till the very end.

She released a deep breath and turned around, and she promptly froze as her eyes widened.

Mirroring her reaction was Naruto, standing in front of her at the entrance of the living room.

"Na-Naruto… how long have you been standing there?"

She was not afraid as to what his reaction would be when he learned that she took it upon herself to break his relationship, nay, she was afraid of what he may have heard when she was tearing that Haruno girl down.

His eyes turned away from her, "...Since you left to attend that call."

Ah, so he heard everything.

Still, seeing his face and hearing his soft voice filled with pain, all her fears fled.

"Did you hear all that?" She gently asked as she took a step towards him.

He verbally didn't reply, but he nodded his head.

"Are you upset with me?" Another step.

A shake of his head was her answer.

"Was it alright of me to do that?" Another step.

His shoulders rolled into a half-hearted shrug.

"Do you want to talk to her yourself?" Another step.

He hesitated then shook his head.

Kurama stood inches in front of him now, she took his bigger hand in her smaller one and firmly but gently held it.

Her thumb started to trace circles on the back of his hand as she tilted her head sideways, "Did you hear… everything?"

He remained motionless for a moment but nodded his head softly. His eyes met hers and he slowly asked, "...Did you... meant that?"

A coy smile came upon her lips, "Meant what?"

Just for a second, annoyance filtered in his sapphire eyes and she barely kept herself from giggling out loud.

His head turned away from her, "...You know what I mean."

The coy smile widened and she intertwined their fingers, "Do I?"

His face turned back towards her as an annoyed look came upon his face, "Kura…"

She giggled and raised her free hand in surrender, "Alright, alright, I give." Her smile faltered for a second and she released a heavy breath, her ruby red eyes met his sapphire ones, "Does it matter?"

Naruto blinked, completely taken aback by her question, "It does, doesn't it?"

Her slim shoulders rolled into a shrug, "For now, it doesn't."

His eyes widened, "...It doesn't?"

She squeezed his hand and started dragging him towards the kitchen, "Yes, for now, it doesn't."

"Eh…? Then... when will it matter?"

Kurama looked back at him over her shoulder and smiled, "When I will be able to see your smile again."

His eyes widened and just for a barest of the moment, his lips twitched upwards, "I see…"

She smiled to herself and continued dragging him towards the kitchen.

"...By the way, you're not planning to cook food for us, are you?"

"I will have you know, I can very much cook now, after all, I work as a waitress now!"

"...There is a very big difference between a waitress and a chef…"

"It doesn't matter! I can cook now and you will eat it."

"Guess I will just die, y'know."

"Are you implying my cooking will kill you?"

"Kinda… but it will not stop you, will it?"

"Heh. You know me so well."

She smiled happily as she started cooking, she will definitely heal him back and see his smile once again.

And only then, he will become hers.

Five Years Later

Ding!Dong!Ding!

Kurama stopped reading her magazine as she heard the bell for her home ring.

Her eyes went towards the clock hanging at the wall, 'It's still one hour too early for him to come back, wonder who it is?'

Very gently, she stood up, after all, she had to be extra careful nowadays.

'When he comes back, I will ask him for a foot massage and back massage.' And she knew, he would never deny her.

Ding!Dong!Ding!

"Coming! Seriously, when will people learn some patience!" She huffed and started walking towards the main door of their house.

She reached the main door and looked through the keyhole, her ruby red eyes were instantly filled with fury.

She slammed the door open and coldly asked, "What are you doing here, didn't I tell you, you're not welcome anywhere near MY Naruto, Haruno?"

The woman standing in front of her flinched, she was definitely the same girl, no mistaking it.

She was just a tad bit more mature, with her pink hair coming to her shoulders now, but other than that, no change whatsoever.

Sakura gave a shaky smile in return, "He-Hello to you too, Kur-"

"It's Mrs. Uzumaki for you, Haruno." To further emphasize her point, she showed her wedding ring too.

Sakura's eyes went towards the wedding ring and then to the woman's swollen stomach, she was definitely pregnant, and from the looks of the big bulge, in later stages too.

"O-Of course, M-Mrs. Uzumaki."

There was no mistaking the jealousy in Sakura's voice, and it made Kurama smirk.

Kurama leaned against the door frame and crossed her arms over her swollen breasts, "So, what do you want now?"

Sakura fidgeted on the spot and slowly replied, "I wanted to apologize to Naruto."

Kurama blinked several times before she started laughing, she wiped a stray tear of mirth from her eye, "Apologize? For what? For utterly breaking his heart? For crushing him? Do you even have any idea how badly you hurt him, huh?"

Sakura shrank into herself at the married woman's fury.

"Do you even have any idea how long it took me to get him back to normal? Do you even have any idea how long he had nightmares for? Do you have any idea how long it took him to finally be able to smile, huh, Haruno? Do you?!" Kurama snarled at the woman in front of her.

"I-I know, I hurt him. Th-That's why I am here, I just want to apologize and maybe start over?" Sakura meekly replied.

"Start over?" Kurama incredulously parroted, before her face twisted in one of pure rage, "Hell no! I am not letting you anywhere even near my husband! He's finally happy. He's finally forgotten all about you! Why can't you just leave him alone? Leave us alone?"

"L-Look, I just want to apolog-"

"No! He doesn't want to see you again. I won't let him see you again. I won't let you reopen those old wounds of his! Just move on, Haruno! You should be able to tell he moved on after just looking at me. We are starting a family together. He's already an amazing man, but now he's going to be the most amazing father to our child."

Kurama took a deep breath and continued, "But you couldn't see that, right? Or did you finally see that he was the best thing that happened to you? Too bad, really. He could have-would have-made you the happiest woman alive. But you decided to throw away everything when you trampled on all his love and kindness by cheating on him with that emo-man."

At this point, tears were brimming in Sakura's eyes and Kurama took vindictive satisfaction at that.

No amount of tears this woman will shed now will amount to the pain she put her husband through.

Kurama decided to finish this charade, "Now, he's making me happy and every day I spend with him is pure bliss. I won't let you jeopardize that, so do me a favor and turn around right now and don't ever come back."

Sakura just silently nodded her head and turned around and started walking away.

Kurama watched the woman walk away and heaved a sigh, 'Curse you for making me this soft-hearted, my dear loveable idiot.'

"You came to apologize to him, right?"

Hearing Kurama's sudden question, Sakura barely turned around and mutely nodded her head.

Kurama turned her head away from her, "There is no need for that, he has already forgiven you."

Sakura's eyes widened, "...He has?"

Kurama nodded her head, "Yes, he already has. Didn't I tell you, that he is the forgiving one between us. But don't be mistaken, even if he had forgiven you, I will never ever forgive you. If it was in my hands, I would have killed you by now for hurting my husband that badly, but it's because he once loved you, and he will probably be sad after finding out I killed you, are the only reasons I have not taken my fury out on you. My love for him is infinite, but my hate for you is even greater. Now go and don't come back."

With that, Kurama slammed the door close, not wanting to be in her presence any longer.

She heaved a sigh and rolled her shoulders once, 'I am adding a shoulder massage to that list too.'

XXXXXXXXXX

"Honey! I am back!"

Kurama looked up from her-yet another-magazine and a wide smile came upon her face, "Welcome back, dear! I am in the living room, come here!"

"Yeah! Just a moment, just have to take this-fuck!-shoe off!"

She laughed at hearing the frustration in his voice.

She heard the sound of his footsteps coming closer before he emerged before her.

"Look what I brought for you, honey!"

She gasped, "Are those?"

He laughed as he nodded his head, "Yup, all are your favorites! Two tubs of mint chocolate, two tubs of salted caramel, and two tubs of red velvet ice cream!"

"Awww, come here!" She opened both of her arms towards him and with another laugh, he was instantly by her side.

And she didn't waste a second into pulling him into a furious french kiss.

They both parted after a full minute of french kissing with a thin strand of saliva connecting them.

Naruto smiled with a flushed face, "I love you, Kura."

Kurama positively beamed, "Love you too, dear!"

His eyes went downwards and his hand came up to gently rub her stomach, "Don't worry, papa didn't forget about you, love you too, little Miko."

His eyes widened when he felt the baby kick and a laugh of sheer joy bubbled up from his throat, "Ha! She kicked! She already loves her papa, doesn't she?"

She watched him with a face splitting smile on her face as he continued to talk to their unborn baby.

Gods! Her cheeks were starting to hurt from smiling so much!

"It could be a boy too, you know?" Kurama chimed in with a grin on her face.

He immediately made an 'X' with his hands and shook his head, "Nope, nope, nope! It's definitely a little Miko! I already know!"

She tilted her head to the side with a questioning look on her face, "How do you know?"

His eyes went downwards towards her stomach once, before they came back up and he gave her a smile that took her breath away, "Father's intuition, y'know."

She quickly moved her head away from him.

She couldn't, she just couldn't-wouldn't-let him see that she was blushing.

"Are you blushing, Kura?"

Damnit all!

"S-So what?"

She didn't know where that stutter came from.

"Awww, come here!" Naruto's hands closed around her neck and pulled her face in his chest.

And she immediately melted in his embrace, all the tension that had built up during her confrontation with Sakura instantly melted away.

Her hands came up and encircled around his shoulders and she buried her face deeper in his chest. "I love you."

She felt his chest rumble as a laugh burst out of him, "Love you too, honey!"

She snuggled deeper into his chest. "I want a foot massage."

"Done."

"A back massage too."

"No problem."

"A shoulder massage too please."

Another laugh. "Done. Done. And done honey!"

God! She really, really loved this man.

He pulled back from her and she let out a cute whine at losing her source of comfort and peace.

She looked up at him with a pout but that instantly changed into a seductive grin, "You know what, I have decided, I am going to reward you."

"Ooooh, I like the sound of that."

"Uh-huh. You're going to absolutely love what I am going to do to you, Naru~"

"Is that so, huh…"

"Uh-huh. I just have to show what kind of amazing man you are, always taking care of me, always spoiling me, loving me so much, I just have to show you! So what are you waiting for, stud, take me to our bedroom already."

He didn't waste a single second and gently and carefully picked her up in a bridal carry.

He looked down at her face and gave a loud laugh, "Forgive me, Lord! For I am about to sin, and I am going to sin real hard!"

She laughed alongside him as he took her to their bedroom.

She was so damn glad she managed to get him to smile again because if she didn't, she wouldn't have been able to spend the rest of her life with her amazing man.
