I do not own PJO or HP
So to answer some reviews, I haven't decided on a ship yet, but I'm not against Daphne I'll just have to do more research on that character. Ik she doesn't have much screen or book time so that'll be interesting.
Also, I do not plan on making Harry a big jerk cliche however remember in this book Harry is dealing with a lot of trauma so he will be edgy till he and Percy get closer. Also, thx for the support Ik there are some mistakes but I just hop on this website for fun to write stuff I'm not to interested in fully re checking my work. If you are looking for a book that is edited by people who literally are paid to do that for a living re read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, this is a place for people to share ideas and be SUPPORTIVE of one another.
Constructive criticism is always welcomed, however if you wanna leave RUDE comments or be a DICK in the reviews go ahead and click the FUCK off my story because cyber bullying or any of that is not acceptable, I see it in other stories as well so just get the hell off this website if you wanna be an asshole. Besides most the people who leave rude comments don't even have stories written themselves which just kinda makes you a hypocrite if you think about it.
Also, for the story request I barely have time to upload as it is. I'm an essential employee and I am working lots of hours with COVID-19 going on. ANYWAYS I LOVE YOU ALL I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE CHAPTER.
Chapter Four
Go fuck yourself Professor
Harry sat down next to Ron in the Great Hall tiredly. To say he hadn't slept well was an understatement, he hadn't really slept at all. Nightmares plagued Harry Potters dreams at night, with whispers of the dark lord taunting him as he did the previous year. Harry was starting to panic, as he remembered he had dreamed of the grave yard for a whole year before he and Cedric had ended up there. The night his friend had died, the night Voldemort had returned and tried to kill Harry. Now, Harry had rotating Nightmares, ones that made him question whether he was going completely mad, or if he was going to end up being trapped my Voldemort again, and this time fail to escape. Some nights he saw inside the Ministry, rooms full of glass orbs, with light smoke flowing inside them glinting in the darkness stacked upon shelves that seemed to rise endlessly. Before it always cut and Harry was staring at one with his own name taped to it. Other nights he saw the new kid, Percy Jackson or as of yesterday the apparent Heir of Slytherin. If Voldemort was trying to lure Harry into a trap he wasn't sure why he would show Harry what the new boy had been through in his life.
Every night he saw Percy walking with a blonde headed girl in what looked to be hell itself, where monsters attacked and he only had a bronze sword to protect himself with. He would go through countless hours of seeing Percy being pushed to his limit and Harry began to wonder what Wizards in America actually did. After all, a sword wasn't a wand but how could Percy control water? He blinked to himself realizing that he might in fact just be going crazy, that there was no way that Percy really could do all the things in his dreams. He hoped not at least, because he would always see himself standing in horror as Percy raised his wand at him and said
"Give it to me Harry."
Harry figured that it was just a way for Voldemort to make him feel like he couldn't trust anyone, to make him feel alone. He figured it was Percy who raised the wand and not anyone of his friends because Percy happened to be a relative in some sorts to the Dark Lord. Hermione had done her research after the sorting hats revaluation, and found that the bloodline that ran down through the Slytherin house came to an end at one Tom Riddle, or Voldemort.
He shuddered in the thought if Percy being connected to the Dark Lord, as he knew Dumbledore wouldn't be stupid enough to let a known relative of the Dark Lord enter the school and prance around the school to do the Dark Lords bidding, no Dumbledore was smarter then that. He had discussed this with his friends last night, and even while Ron was still very skeptical about the whole ordeal Harry knew Percy happened to be a boy in a bad situation. Dumbledore had to of known what Harry and his friends figured out last night, knowing that Voldemort had returned meant that Percy was in danger, that the Dark Lord would in fact seek him out to join the cause. Considering the American accent he had been hidden over seas, but now Dumbledore was most likely keeping him at Hogwarts to protect him and keep an eye out on him.
"You alright mate?" Ron asked as he shoved a muffin in his mouth, "You look like you haven't slept at all."
"I'm fine," Harry lied, "I'm just not looking forward to having potions for my first class of the year everyday for the remainder of the school year."
"You're telling me," Neville groaned from across the table, "And we have to take it for two weeks with Slytherin."
"Fantastic," Ron murmured.
After breakfast Harry and Ron made there way down to their potions class and quickly found a row where they could sit next to each other, thankfully Hermione and Neville arrived shorty after to fill the empty spots next to them. Slowly but surely the class soon filled with students, and as always two minutes after their class was supposed to began Snape came charging through the door, silencing the class. Harry found himself worried by Snape, as last year he had found out the man was a former death eater, that turned to the side of Dumbledore in the last war and was now part of The Order. He figured potions class would never truly be the same, and he assumed Snape was only going to be harder on him then before. He watched as Snape walked up to his board and quickly scribbled down two words, which Harry couldn't even began to understand.
"Today we are taking a more advanced approach on previously taught subjects and wi-," Snape didnt get to finish as the door once again slammed open and all the eyes went to the back of the class where Percy was standing breathing quite heavily. His hair was its usual mess, while his tie was loosely tied around his neck, his shirt un tucked underneath his vest.
"Sorry professor, I got stuck on a moving stairwell," The boy quickly apologized as he made his way to an empty seat in the back of the classroom.
"Do not be late again Mr. Jackson or you will receive detention, as well as make sure you are properly staying in the school dress code policy, I will not have you making an embarrassment of my house."
"Sorry Professor," Percy apologized once again as he tightened the tie around his neck while certain students around him chuckled slightly.
"As I was saying, open your textbooks to chapter Four, you will find these two words here listed in them. I want a page each on what they are used for, what they shouldn't be used for, and then a page on why they are dangerous to be combined. Afterwards, you will write down clear instructions on how each should be properly made. As for tomorrow we are going to create each of them. Hand in your papers as you are finished. And as usual, silence."
Harry groaned internally as he got out his parchment and quill, and opened his book to began reading. As class conditioned on Harry was just finishing his second paper, when he glanced over to see Hermione close to finishing the whole assignment. He sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, staring tiredly down at his paper. His mind began to wander back towards his dreams when he noticed Percy was standing up and walking towards the front table.
"Question Jackson?" Snape asked.
"What? Oh no, you said to turn it in when were done," Percy stammered as he handed his parchments to Snape who eyed them before taking them from his hand, "Sorry if its hard to read I'm not quite used to quills yet." Snape held his hand up to silence the boy as the professor quickly skimmed through them and for a second Harry could have sworn he saw a smirk rise up on his lips.
"Excellent work Jackson," Snape murmured as he continued to read before he dropped the papers, "You're free to go."
Most the day continued the same way, each class Percy seemed to excel in, further making Ron skeptical and Hermione fascinated. Harry could have sworn with each passing moment Percy seemed more shocked then the other students did as he flawlessly started acing every spell, every formula, and even during History seemed to know a lot about British Wizardary which shocked Harry since he had been in America his whole life. During lunch Percy noticed countless amounts of students gathering around the boy, as he smiled and joked along with them. Harry had no reason to dislike the boy, he just feared that with Malfoy following him around all day like a lost puppy he would soon become like the other Slytherins and wind up being the biggest jerk of them all.
As the last class of the day rolled around Harry and Ron quickly sat down next to each other in the Defense against the dark arts, each of them buzzing with worry about what the school year would play out with a Ministry official leading the way.
"Oh bloody hell he's sitting next to Hermione now," Ron murmured to Harry as he nodded to Percy sliding into the desk next to their bestfriend.
"He's new and doesn't know a lot of people," Harry assured Ron, "He met us on the train remember?"
"He's about as popular as you now Harry, he doesn't have to be next to her, who knows what he might do!"
"Ron," Harry sighed, "Hermione can take care of herself, and anyways were sitting at a place where we can help if need be." The boy turned around suddenly and Harry paled as he smiled at the two of them lightly before calling out to Harry.
"I hear you're good at riding a broom stick! Could you show me some time? We don't have quidditch at my school it seems really interesting." Before Harry could respond the door to the class opened and Umbridge began to speak about how they were going to be learning to prepare for there O.W.L. exams this year before text books were suddenly plopped on each of there desk.
Percy POV.
Percy glanced at the text book with annoyance as he noticed the letters all switching places in front of his eyes. He opened the first few pages to see if the inside was greek like the rest of his books, but found annoyance that they were not. Before he had a chance to say anything Hermione had her hand raised and was asking.
"This book doesn't have anything to do with defensive spells?"
"No dear, why would they need to?" Umbridge asked with a cheery voice.
"Were not going to be using magic?" Ron asked in disbelief.
"It is the Ministries belief that a non magical, by the books education is all you will need, and will be sufficient enough to prepare you for your exams, and will get you each top marks. You will be learning about defensive spells in a safe risk free way," Umbridge explained her annoyingly cheerful voice still active. Percy scoffed as he shut his book, folding his arms and leaning back in his chair, the only thought going through his mind was that he was going to fail this class. All the other classes had been so different from normal school, he got to use magic, his textbooks were in a language he could understand and all the subjects, besides Herbtology were interesting. He felt like he was at CHB for the most part training, and now he was once again realizing he was in a classroom, where he couldn't even read the source material.
"Well what use is that if we're going to be attacked it wont be risk free!" Harry exclaimed
"Students will raise there hands when they speak in my class!" Umbridge exclaimed, her voice darkening slightly.
"Oh great a nut job," Percy mumbled back to Draco who was sitting behind him, the boy nodded in agreement and whispered back, "This ought to be fun."
"It is the view of the ministry as I said before that a theoretical knowledge will be significant enough for you to pass your exams, which school is all about!"
"And how is theory supposed to to protect us from whats out there?" Harry exclaimed annoyed.
"There is nothing out there dear, who would you imagine thats out there that would want to attack children like yourself?"
"Oh I dont know," Harry exclaimed, "Maybe.. Lord Voldemort!" The class suddenly filled with whispers and Percy shot a look at Harry, the kid had some balls on him he had to admit that. Even with everyone telling him that he was a liar he knew what had happened and wasn't going to change his story, not even with a Professor. Percy was starting to like Harry Potter.
"Now, you have been told that a certain Dark wizard is once again at large, but I am here to tell you that it is simply just a lie." Percy found his hand starting to ball into a fist as he remembered what had happened just a few days ago when the Dark wizard attacked him at his home. His step father was dead and his mother and unborn baby sister were now in danger, and the whole wizarding world is just ignoring the threat.
"Its not a lie!" Harry exclaimed angrily, "I SAW HIM I FOUGHT HIM!"
"Detention Mr. Potter!" Umbridge exclaimed, causing a few Slytherins around him to sneer in glee. Percy rose an eye at Draco and shook his head in annoyance, something that caused the boys smile to wipe off his face.
"So according to you Cedric Diggoray dropped dead on his own accord?!"
"Cedric Diggorays death was a tragic accident!"
"No Voldemort killed him it was murder you must know this!" Harry cried out slamming his fist onto his desk.
"Enough! Mr. Potter!" Umbridge roared causing the class to fall into silence. Percy stared at the Professor and then back to harry before sighing as he raised his hand just for the fun of it.
"Yes Mr. Jackson?"
"Okay say Voldemort is back, or even if he isn't. Does the Ministry really think that there is never going to be another uprising again? I mean Voldemort wasn't the first and he wont be the last. Bad people exist in the muggle world, bad people exist in the wizarding world. There's a reason you have a prison in the middle of the ocean, there's a reason we have dark wizard hunters! Is the Ministry really to blind to see that? Power people can come back after some time, and there are copy cat killers! Even if there's nothing out there now shouldn't we be prepared for the worst case scenario not a world that's all sunshine and rainbows?" Percy asked his voice showing evidence of frustration.
"That is what the Ministry is for dear."
"Fuck the Ministry!" Percy exclaimed in annoyance, "You're politicians who have no fucking clue on whats actually going on and stir the public view by controlling the papers. Yeah I've done my research, and even if i didnt politicians are all the same."
"You have just landed yourself a spot in detention with Mr. Potter."
"Oh really?" Percy asked standing up from his desk shaking his head he debated about spilling the beans of why he was there, knowing that this was in fact a ministry official and it could actually help in the long run. Also he could gain Harry's trust, "What makes you think I'll be attending." There were a few laughs and chuckles from the Slytherin house at Percy's words but for the most part the rest of the class was quiet.
"You will be expelled!"
"No I dont think I will actually," Percy laughed as he began to pack his things, "For starters I have a written letter from the headmaster saying I do not have to involve my self in classes I already have knowledge on, and don't provide books that counteract my dyslexia. And sinse I one, already know enough of this subject to pass my exams and two, cant read this stupid book!" He threw threw the book at the professors feet before slamming the letter down on his desk laughing as he did so.
"I'm leaving, have a nice year and good luck fellow students."Percy began to walk towards the door until Umbridge yelled at him.
"What stupid boy doesnt know how to read? God your mother must be so disappointed in you" Percy whirled around his face red, the cup of tea on the professors desk exploding, while a students water did the same.
"Don't you dare say a thing about my mother!" Percy exclaimed his wand in his hand without realizing it with a single flick the books in the class flew up into the air and lit on fire before falling down to the floor in a burning mess, "Go FUCK yourself professor, actually no, throw yourself off the fucking clock tower." Then with that Percy stormed out of the classroom and towards his common room shaking in rage.
An hour later fellow students started to fill the room, and Percy found himself casually talking to a few of his classmates.
"You know how to make and exit Jackson!" Draco joked as he sat down next to Percy slapping his back.
"Yeah, Umbridge had to go and find new books, we didnt even have class!" Crabbe exclaimed gleefully.
"Are you really not going to be taking Defense this year?" Daphne asked causing Pansy and her to look at Percy in a sad way.
"Not unless we learn something," Percy shrugged, "Besides I will have a whole hour to myself."
"Well we can always sneak out to join you," Pansy joked twirling her hair as she did so. Draco let out a laugh and shook his head.
"Maybe, but I might just take a nap," Percy said trying to ignore the obvious flirting.
"Then I really will want to join you," Daphne joked causing their small group to laugh giddily.
"Dont fool yourself girls," Draco stated, "Percy is much to good looking for any of you!" The girls rolled there eyes and the conversation continued but Percy rather ignored it for the most part as he started reading a book that caught his eye. As he started to read he noticed it hinted at the possibility to make your own spells, which peaked Percy's interest. However before he could get to deep into the book he found himself being dragged away from the common room by Draco and his two goons, saying Snape had ordered them to give Percy a tour of the school. In the back of his mind he knew he needed to find out more on how to create spells as that could give him an advantage over the Dark Lord. After the tour Percy finally was able to free himself of his crowd of followers and end up on the bridge that stood over a river that drained into a lake.
He stared down at it lightly feeling calm finally being alone with nothing with water and his thoughts. He began to wonder about how his mother was holding up and felt sad that he was stuck at school while she was being used at bait to catch him. He didnt care if it was a trap, he had to save her and his soon to be born baby sister, no matter the cost. He heard footsteps approaching and he sighed in annoyance thinking he was about to be bombarded again by his fan club until he glanced over to see Harry Potter.
"Hey Harry," Percy mumbled turning back to stare off the bridge.
"We need to talk," Harry stammered as he came closer to him Percy nodded in agreement and turned to face the boy only to find a wand pressed up against his neck.
"Whatever you think I did i didnt do it!" Percy stammered out jokingly.
"How do you know Voldemort," Harry whispered.
"I dont, dude seriously the wand!" Harry sighed and removed the wand from his neck letting it fall to his side.
"I dont know him okay," Percy explained, "He showed up killed my step dad then took my mother... And ever sense i just keep having these dreams of a room filled with stupid smokey snow globes." Harry's eyes widened as he stared at Percy with disbelief.
"You're having the dreams to?" Harry asked in disbelief
"Yeah... wanna talk about it over some butter-beer? I've heard its amazing and I really dont want to be found by more Slytherins for a bit."
"Yeah... yeah sure."
Hope you enjoyed the chapter let me know what you think.
