"Sir, over here!" She heard the wolf and knew they were getting closer. The fawn jumped into a bush and scrambled into a log. She froze there, looking at the snow around her. "She's gotta be around here somewhere," another wolf reported. "Find her!" the buck growled. The fawn tried to back up but stopped when she heard one of the wolves on top of the log. "She's here sir, I smell her," a wolf said. The doe looked at the wolves for a minute longer than bolted. "There she goes!" the pack ran after her. The fawn jumped over a stream and rolled to a stop a few feet away. The buck was about to cross but a voice rang out. "Stop Arrow!"

The green-eyed reindeer skidded to a stop at the edge of the stream. The fawn looked up to see another buck with blue eyes and a red nose. "Ugh, Rudolph. I should've known you'd be here," Arrow sneered. Rudolph nerrowed his eyes. "Your getting too close to the stream," he pointed out. Arrow took a step back.

"Just give me back the fawn, and we'll go."

Rudolph looked at the doe and sniffed her fur, then looked back at his cousin. "She doesn't have your scent. She's not part of Ginger's herd. Go home!"

By now, the Team had shown up and Arrow began to question if he and his wolves could take them on without serious injuries. He growled. "This isn't over, reject," Arrow spat then he and his two wolves began to walk back to the mountains.

Rudolph snorted like a bull and looked down at the fawn. "It's okay now, your safe," he reassured her when he saw her trembling. He turned his attention to the Team. "Uncle Cupid, Donner, I want you two to stay here in case they come back," he ordered. The two bucks nodded and stood at attention while Rudolph picked up the fawn with his teeth and began to walk back to the North Pole with the Team.
