F3: Hello everyone and welcome back. Today this is the start of Volume 2. As always before I begin I'll go over the disclaimers. Once again RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. I also only own the OC characters. With that said Let's Roll Out!
Volume 2-1: Return to Beacon.
Two weeks have past since the break and now their was only two days left of there break and all the students have returned to Beacon Academy. Among those students is Star Azure member and team leader of team SPIR. She was currently decked out in her normal outfit as it wasn't required for them yet to wear their uniform.
Also instead of her hiding her tail it was out on full display while the silver frilled ribbon still hid her ears while on her back was her precious weapon Kitsune.
"I still think this is a bad idea Yang." Star said nervously as while she wasn't as scared as before about showing she was a faunus she was scared of certain individuals messing with her.
Next to her was Yang Xio Long. Star had stayed with Yang and Ruby's family for the two week break that they all had.
Yang as well was decked out in her usual outfit, but their was one rather big change that she had gone through. Her long hair was now cut short being just above her shoulders yet it was still curly and wild.
"Don't worry about it besides you look much better this way instead of hiding them." Yang added.
"Yeah but I'm surprised that you let us cut your hair." Star said to her holding back a small wince.
"It took every bit of restraint for me not to use my semblance." Yang said.
"Hey it wasn't that bad." Ruby replied next to Yang. She is currently caring a large case that looked to be containing her weapon and another.
"You sure you don't need help with that Ruby?" Yang questioned.
"Don't worry. I got it. Besides I'm going to need to head toward the forge here. I got something big that I'm going to be working on." Ruby added.
"Oh something to improve Crescent Rose." Star added.
"Hm... something like that." Ruby replied but before she could tell them more her stomach growled.
The other two girls giggle as Ruby blushed embarrassed "But how about we get some breakfast cause I am starving." Ruby said rubbing her stomach.
"Then we better get to the cafeteria." Star added as the three head toward the cafeteria.

The three headed into the cafeteria and noticed that all the other students were their too including the rest of team RWBY and SPIR.
Star noticed the rest of her team sitting across from Blake and Weiss which almost nothing has changed about them even Weiss black dyed hair, but she did notice that Blake was no longer wearing her black bow actually letting her cat ears be shown, and she even noticed that Pepper had her wolfs tail out as it slightly swayed and still wore her signature scarf around her neck.
However Star noticed Weiss was fidgeting over something cause she seemed uncomfortable sitting down.
After getting their breakfast which for Yang was some pancakes with a side a bacon along with a glass of orange juice.
Ruby got herself nearly the same but with side of bacon and sausage links and a tall glass of milk as well as a huge plate of cookies.
Star for her part got two pieces of chicken legs and with three pancakes to go with as the three went and sat down with their teammates.
Ruby somehow managed to get her food and drink over to the table without spilling as she placed the medium sized case next to her.
"Hey everyone!" Ruby cheered glad to see the rest of her teammates.
"Hello Ruby, Yang." Blake replied glad to see her teammates again.
"I take it you all had a good break?" She then asked.
"Oh yeah it was good to be back home for a while." Yang added taking a bite of her pancake.
Blake noticed Star had her tail on full display "Decided to stop hiding it." Blake replied.
Star nodded "Yeah... though it took me a bit to get used to it but Yang convinced me to at least try." Star added.
Iona decided to perk up "Honestly it does look better like that." Iona replied.
Rina spoke to add her input "Truly. It's better than having to hide them underneath all that clothing." Rina replied taking a bite out of her toast.
"So what about you girls? Enjoy your break." Star questioned.
"Yeah. Me and Blake decided to hang out since we never usually get the chance too." Iona replied.
"And what about you Pepper, Weiss? How'd it go for you two?" Star asked. Pepper nearly choked on her drink as did Weiss as they both looked at each other nervously.
"Oh uh... everything was fine. Nothing eventful." Pepper replied as Weiss nodded in agreement. However Weiss looked toward her partner especially at her hair.
"Did you get a hair cut Yang?" Weiss questioned.
"Yeah I'm surprised that you got one. How'd you managed that?" Blake asked.
Star and Ruby glanced at one another before sighing and deciding to answer for Yang.
"The strongest rope we could find. Help from aunt Raven." Ruby replied.
"The cutest distraction Ruby could muster." Star added.
"And a whole lot of luck." Both girls finished at the same time and then rubbed at a spot on their body that was still bruised as while Yang had restrained herself she still put up a small fight.
"Yet we still ended up bruised, and it was your idea to get a hair cut in the first place Yang." Star said as she shoots a small glare at the blonde.
Yang rubbed the back of her head nervously "Hey I can't help it when someone touches my hair." Yang replied.
"Yeah we get it. If even a strand goes out of place you go all rage mode." Ruby added.
Blake and Weiss only blinked at this statement "You're joking right." Weiss replied.
"I wish I was." Ruby groaned a little.
What they didn't noticed that one table across from them Team JNPR had gotten back together after their two week break and Nora was chowing down on pancakes without much care.
"So how was everyone?" Jaune asked.
"Everything is well." Ren replied.
"Me and Renny here decided to check out the sights of the other villages." Nora replied as she ate another pancake.
"What about you Pyrrha?" Jaune asked.
The red head stuttered a moment before she spoke "Um... well... not much really. I only stayed and honed my skills. Nothing real special nope." Pyrrha said quickly as she then ate her breakfast.
Nora took a stab at her pancake "Hey I heard that we're getting some new students for the second semester. I think we should throw a big welcome to Beacon party." She replied but didn't know that her pancake flung off her pancake.
Pyrrha however saw where the pancake was headed and who it was going to hit which unfortunately wasn't good since it was heading directly at Yang.
The pancake that had syrup on it hit Yang on the back of the head as it stuck to her head.
"Oh dear." Pyrrha said worried about what is going to happen next. Yang turned around toward their table her eyes burning red but with a smirk on her face.
Nora gulped nervously at this "Oopsie." She simply said.

Meanwhile outside and walking toward the cafeteria was Sun Wu Kong the blonde monkey faunus was talking with another guy walking next to him.
He is a tanned skinned boy that is about seventeen with dark blue eyes and messy light blue hair in the form of an undercut. He wears a white dress shirt and black tie under a red jacket adorned with a wide, upturned, black collar and a silver reticle across the back. He also sports a pair of gray jeans with black padding strapped to the sides as well as black shoes fastened with straps instead of laces.
He wears black finger-less gloves along with a pair of yellow tinted goggles worn on his forehead.
"So what do think of Beacon?" Sun asked.
"Well it's no Shade Academy but its certainly is a big place." The guy replied.
"Though might I ask where are we going?" He asked.
"Cafeteria. Though there is someone their named Blake who yes is a faunus as well but don't mention that to her okay." Sun added.
"No problem." He replied as they headed inside to the cafeteria.
But the moment the two headed in it was already complete and utter chaos as food was flying all over the place in what looks like a food fight or more like a war.
Tables were turned over that turned out into make shift barricades.
Meanwhile Team SPIR was taking cover behind one them trying to avoid the food fight that was occurring.
"Okay I know this is might look like a food fight but this has turned into an utter food war! Who starts a food war!?" Star shouted out seeing Yang using two turkeys as punching gloves as she went to attack Nora but only to receive a watermelon hammer uppercut sending Yang through the ceiling.
Meanwhile Weiss used a loaf of bread as sword and went into attack Pyrrha but was blocked by a bowl that had salad in it.
Ruby and Blake had teamed up to take on Jaune and Ren as he grabbed a hold of two forks and threw them at the two.
The two guys just stood their noticing the madness that was happening.
"Um... did we miss something?" Sun asked.
However the doors on the other side of the cafeteria opened which revealed Glynda as she watched the event unfold with an annoyed look. With a wave of her crop she activated her semblance.
The food was returned to its proper place as was the tables returned to their proper places as were some of them repaired. Glynda then lowered her crop deactivating her semblance.
"Please. Don't play with your food children." Glynda ordered as Ozpin came in from behind.
"Oh come now. This is their last day break. Let them enjoy it while they still can. Moments like this need to be cherish for what its worth." Ozpin replied.
Glynda looked around and noticed that someone was missing. "Where is Miss. Xio Long?" She asked. As if on cue a yellow blur came from the sky, crash through the ceiling and landing onto a table splitting it in two.
Yang got up from the impact and brushed herself off making sure nothing was broken before giving a thumbs up.
Star and the rest of the team only looked on at this "Well... at least she's durable." Rina replied which got them laughing. Iona laughed but then she noticed who was at the door more importantly the blue hair boy that was next to Sun. Almost immediately her happiness all went out the window and was replaced with anger.
"Neptune Vasilias!" Iona shouted at the blue haired boy.
The boy now known as Neptune looked at the girl that shouted at him and already he grew extremely nervous.
"Oh um... hey Iona. Nice to see that your looking lively as ever." Neptune replied.
"Oh yeah lively. After you betrayed my trust!" She shouted.
Sun was completely taken aback by this and looked at Neptune.
"Dude you told me that your girlfriend left you." Sun replied.
"Um... well that's not exactly how it was." He said rubbing the back of his head.
"We were boyfriend and girlfriend. That was until I caught him with another girl when he lived in Argus. After that your parents moved to Felspar in Vacuo. He's the reason why I pretty much don't have some much trust in men anymore." Iona replied.
"Now Basy I'm sure we can work things..." He said but before he could say anything else Iona walked up to him pointing a finger up under his chin.
"Don't ever call me Basy. You lost that privilege to call me that the moment you hooked up with that other girl. You may be here for the Vytal Festival but don't you ever come near me or even talk to me. Got it." She growled as her bright pink stared into his deep blue.
"Eh heh. Got it." Neptune replied nervously as Iona decided to leave the cafeteria before she did something she shouldn't.
The remaining members of her team just looked in complete awe. "Okay never seen her get that mad before." Star added.
Pyrrha only sighed "Trust me that was way more tamed. Lucky she didn't put him six feet under. She could do it to." She added.
Neptune simply put his head down in complete defeat.
"Yep she's still mad about that." Neptune groaned.
"I'll go after her see if I can calm her down." Star replied as she went to check up on her partner.
Iona for her part was completely fuming after seeing her former boyfriend as she went outside to try and calm herself down.
"That no good, womanizing, blue haired, low life, jerk. Why of all places did he have to come here?!" She replied completely fuming.
However as she rounded the corner she ran right smack into someone causing both of them to trip and fall to the ground.
"Ow! That's going to hurt." Iona replied getting herself up from the fall as she noticed the girl she'd bumped into.
A fair skinned girl that is about nineteen years old with ashen black hair. She is currently wearing a beige leather, sleeveless jacket with light beige details. She also wears gray pants and boots along with brown gloves. She also wears sarashi tied around her chest and hips and a pauldron on the her left shoulder. Around her waist is a brown belt with multiple pouches attached to it.
"Oh sorry about that I didn't see you their." Iona quickly apologized.
The other two that were with the girl helped her up.
"No its quite alright." She replied.
Iona however took noticed of the three in front of her.
"Huh? I haven't seen you three before. Are you new here?" Iona asked.
"Yes we are. We came from Haven Academy." The guy next to her replied.
"Name's Mercury Black. Nice to meet you um..." He began.
"Oh right. Iona Basil. Member of team SPIR." Iona introduced.
Just then Star turned the corner and found her teammate.
"Oh their you are Iona. Have you calmed..." Star replied and then she noticed the three in front of her.
"Oh its you again." Star replied seeing Mercury.
"Hey again." He replied.
The girl next to him look at her "I'm guessing this is one of those girls you helped back then." She replied looking at Star suspiciously.
"Oh c'mon Emmy she's a nice girl." Mercury replied.
The older girl in the middle of them looked at Star almost as if trying to recall something.
"You... look familiar." She replied.
"I don't think so. I'm Star Azure leader of team SPIR." She introduced.
"My name is Cinder Fall. Pleasure to meet you Star." Cinder replied.
"You've already met Mercury but this is Emerald Sustrai." Cinder introduced as the tanned girl simply bowed.
"I'm afraid we're not familiar with this academy. We're looking for the dorms I wonder if you could help us find them." Cinder replied.
"I can help with that. Classes don't start till tomorrow. I'll show you to your room." Star replied.
Star turned to have them follow her, but lowered herself down to help Iona up when Mercury took a step forward in which he stepped on something.
"Huh?" He replied as he looked down and noticed he stepped on the tip of a white fluffy tail. He followed where the tail connected to and noticed that it was connected to Star who was trying her best not to scream.
"Get. Off. My. Tail." Star growled.
"Oh sorry." He said quickly getting off her tail then that's when he realized something.
"Wait a minute. You're a faunus." Mercury replied.
Star huffed glaring at him as she helped Iona up "Yeah. Is that going to be an issue?" She asked as she rubbed her tail.
"No just a little surprised that's all." Mercury added as Star and Iona led them toward the dorms.
What they didn't know that Cinder had dropped something when she and Iona bumped heads which was a gold locket with a silver chain as the top opened revealing a picture of four children inside it.

About ten minutes past and Star showed the three toward one of rooms.
"And this'll be your teams room. If you need anything my team is a few doors down." Star replied.
"Thanks. And sorry for stepping on your tail." Mercury apologized.
"Its alright just be a little more careful. Catch you later." Star replied as her and Iona left the three alone.
The three entered their room fitted with four beds. They also saw their fourth teammate in the room as well.
A seventeen year old girl that has two tone colored hair with one half being chocolate brown and the other half pink with pale pink streaks in it. She also has two different eye colors respectively brown and pale pink.
The girl wears a white tail jacket that exposes little cleavage with a pink interior and one wide broad tail, brown pants, black gloves, and black and white boots with very high heels and multiple buttons on each side. Under her jacket is a brown corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wears a multitude of necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck. Her neck also appears to be darker than the rest of her skin with what appears to be scars from burn marks on it.
"Ah you must be Neo Politan. Roman told us that you'd be joining us." Cinder added.
Neo simply nodded.
"Well then I guess team CMSN is here at Beacon. It'll be a while to adjust to things but I'm sure with time everything will be okay." Cinder replied.
"Hey just as long we're away from her I'll take this place any day." Mercury replied.
"Agreed." Emerald added.
"Yes I think we can..." Cinder replied but stopped as she noticed something that one of her pouches was empty.
"No no no." Cinder replied checking her other pouches but to no avail.
"What is it Cindy?" Emerald asked.
"My locket... it's gone." Cinder replied.
"Probably fell out when you bumped into that Iona girl." Mercury replied.
"You don't think someone might already have found it?" Emerald asked.
"Maybe but we'll have to look." Mercury replied as they decided to head out and check.
"You stay here Neo and hold down the fort." Cinder ordered only received a mock salute from the ice cream lady.

Meanwhile Iona and Star were heading back to the cafeteria.
"You know those three were pretty interesting." Iona added.
"Yeah I guess you can say that." Star replied but she was also pondering a moment about them.
"For some reason or another I feel like I know them but I can't put my finger on it." She thought as the two walked back to the cafeteria.
However before they even got their they saw Pepper had rounded the corner apparently looking for the two as she spotted them.
"There you two are." Pepper said as she approached the two.
"Oh hey. Sorry if we took so long." Star replied.
"Yeah sorry about that." Iona added.
"Well it looks like you've calmed down." Pepper replied.
Iona simply rubbed the back of her head "Yeah I just needed to cool off after seeing Neptune." Iona replied nervously.
"Well we better get back. Don't want to leave Rina all alone with all of them." Star added as the three were starting to head back.
However Pepper noticed something at the end of the hall that shined. It peeked her interest as she went to investagate. When she got over their she noticed on the ground a gold locket with a silver chain. She picked up the locket and looked inside after clicking it open.
There was a picture of four children inside the locket. The first was a girl with ashen black hair giving a large smiling and was ruffling another's hair. The second was a guy with silver hair who was leaning against a tree giving a wave towards the camera. The third was another girl with dark skin and light green hair with her arm slung around the final figure. The final figure was a young faunus girl her tail just barely in frame giving an energetic smile and making a V with her fingers. Engraved on the opposite side of the picture was the phrase 'Friends Till The End.'
"Okay the faunus girl looks like Star but who are the other three?" Pepper thought and decided to pocket the object for later maybe she can ask the girls about it.
