Overall summary: For years, men and women would travel to distant places in order to find any proof living beings or living organisms, however, their efforts were to little effect. Though there is much more than people know. One day while a group of students and their professor are on a field trip, the museum is attacked by a group of aliens who claim to be the Galra empire, and claim to be after the blades of Marmora. While the students try to fight back, they are rescued by a mysterious woman named Allura and taken to Castle Lion. Once there, the students and professor learn that the galaxy and in order to fight back, the five of them are chosen to be the Royal Paladins Rangers to protect the universe from the Galra and anyone else who would dare cause it harm.

Character Bios

Black Paladin Ranger

Name: Takashi 'Shiro' Shirogane

Physical appearance: black hair, black eyes. His casual clothing is a white shirt under a black jacket, black and brown shoes

Personality: caring, wise, optimistic, trustworthy, selfless

Description: Takashi 'Shiro' Shirogane was one of the professors chaperoning the students from the Garrison academy when they were attacked by Galra. Doing his job, he tried to get everyone to safety. Before, Shiro had taken Keith out of foster care and grew to think of him as a little brother. When Keith refuses to become leader, Shiro volunteers to pilot the black lion zord and lead the royal Paladins. In their fight against the Galra, Shiro always acts with confidence and determination to complete the mission matter what. But, he would never do anything to put his teammates in danger and would not hesitate to lay his life down for them.

Red Paladin Ranger

Name: Keith Kogane

Physical appearance: black hair, dark brown eyes. His casual clothing is a black t-shirt underneath a red jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes

Personality: kind, arrogant, short tempered, reckless

Description: Keith Kogane is the red Paladin Ranger and Shiro's choice for second in command. Growing up, Keith lived in foster care without knowing who his parents are but was later taken care of by Shiro who he admired like a big brother. Keith had also been known as a troublemaker for picking fights, disobeying rules and not knowing when to keep his mouth shut. Though his heart had always been in the right place and Keith would always go with his gut first. Keith was chosen first by the black lion but did not feel he could live up to everyone's expectations. As the red ranger, Keith would never back down from a fight and do what needs to be done. However, that sometimes includes rushing into things and going against a plan.

Blue Paladin Ranger

Name: Lance McClain

Physical appearance: tan skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. His casual clothing is a blue t-shirt, tacky pants and tennis shoes.

Personality: charismatic, sarcastic, optimistic, reckless, doesn't take most things seriously

Description: Lance is the blue Paladin Ranger and was one of Shiro's students. Lance was always more of a slacker not taking responsibility or doing what he was told. He was also always jealous of Keith who bested him at everything. When chosen to be the blue ranger, Lance was determined to get the job done and do a better job than everyone. Even while in a fight, Lance always finds a moment to tease or make jokes and add some levity.

Yellow Paladin Ranger

Name: Hunk Garrett

Physical appearance: dark skin, black hair, brown eyes. He usually wears a yellow long sleeve shirt, green tacky pants and brown boots.

Personality: caring, loud, overactive, careful

Description: Hunk Garrett was one of the students at the Garrison academy. He had always been a sweet and nice guy who always tries to stay out of trouble. Growing up, he was often picked on as a kid for being too soft and weak. Some thinking he would never be a full man. When he was brought to Castle Lion and chosen to be the yellow paladin ranger, he was the most hesitant not wanting to fight but felt like he had to in order to protect others. Hunk is often very cautious always trying to stay out of the lion of fire but knows when to toughen up especially when his friends are hurt or are in trouble.

Green Paladin Ranger

Name: Katie 'Pidge' Holt

Physical appearance: short brown hair, green eyes. She usually wears a green sweater, tacky shorts and tennis shoes.

Personality: caring, super genius, optimistic, snarky

Description: Pidge was one of the Garrison academy students and is the brains of the paladin rangers team. She had always been good with technology and keeping herself out of a tough situation even though she is short. Pidge has always acted tough and never lets anyone talk down to her. She is also often smuthered by her family who worry about her safety and would rather have her be a proper lady. After becoming the green ranger, Pidge chooses to live the way to live her life the way she wants and will do anything she has to. She also acts as the team's tech expert often fixing their weapons and morphers.

Allies

Princess Allura

Description: Allura is the princess of the planet Altea and the only living successor of her royal family. When she was young, the Galra invaded and attacked her home planet. When their defenses fell, she and few others were able to evacuate. Using the castle of lions, Allura and her advisor Coran traveled to the planet Earth in search of anyone worthy of piloting the lion zords. Allura is sometimes tough on the others acting high and mighty and always acting like she knows what she's doing. However she is one of the few people who truly knows the Galra is capable. Allura now must help the Paladin Rangers in order to defeat the Galra and finally restore peace to the universe.

Coran

Description: Coran is the royal advisor to Princess Allura and mentor to the Paladin Rangers. Coran had known Allura and her father King Alfor for many years and was entrusted to look after Allura after they were forced to evacuate their home planet. As Royal advisor to Allura, Coran makes sure the princess is always safe and offers on what to do in desperate situations. And as mentor to the Paladin Rangers, coran informs and orders their missions as well as advise them on what they must do.

Villains

The Galra Empire

Description: The Galra empire is the largest armada in the universe under the command of King Zarkon. Their soldiers made of purple aliens from beyond the stars. They act without fair warning or mercy as they will let no one stand in the way of their king's goal. The Galra always accept a challenge and will never back down. They are absolutely devoted to their dictatorship and way of life. Aside from Galra soldiers, the empire has robots known as Galra drones to fight the rangers.

King Zarkon

Description: King Zarkon is the ruler of the Galra empire. No one knows of Zarkon's origins or his queen, but only that he rose his empire out of the ashes of his home planet. Raising his armies, he began his agenda to rule and control the universe with an iron fist. His armies conquering countless worlds showing no mercy to anyone who would resist or defy him. As he makes his sights to the Earth, Zarkon plans to put an end to Princess Allura and the Paladins and everything they hold dear in order to finally fulfill his perfect utopia.

Prince Lotor

Description: Lotor is the son of King Zarkon and heir to his throne. While Zarkon has his Armada of soldiers and generals, Lotor is skilled himself in combat and battle strategy. Able to quickly come up with ways to counter and one step ahead of his enemies. Growing up, Lotor was always shunned by his father and told to become better than he is. Now, Lotor seeks to earn his father's throne and rule as the rightful ruler of the Galra empire. His methods even ruthless as he enjoys his enemies suffering before he can finish them off.

Witch Haggar

Description: Witch Haggar is a loyal servant of King Zarkon. While the other Galra members prefer to use brute force and technology, Haggar had studied the dark arts of magic ever since she was young. Haggar is one that is most loyal to the empire and their cause to rule the universe. Though sometimes her loyalties are left questionable.

General Sendak

Description: Sendak is one of the generals in the Galra empire. He is a strong and fierce warrior who will never stand down and would rather die than surrender. For years, he fought his way through the ranks of the galra in order to gain his title as general. Now, given the chance, he plans to hunt the paladin rangers and prove himself to Zarkon.
