Chapter 1

Once Upon a Time…

Before we begin, let's just say these parodies are only an honorable tribute. However, the characters I choose will almost have the same attitude as the characters they originally played. This is just fun tribute, no weird stuff. Hope you enjoy it.

Once Upon a Time…

There lived a King and a Queen who ruled the kingdom with all the kindness, love, optimism, strength, and wisdom they could give to the people. As a result, the country flourished. Though the King and Queen were happy with their nation, they desired a child. One day, their wish was granted. They had a beautiful baby girl born in the spring. Sadly, the Queen had become very ill, after her daughter's birth, and would, unfortunately, not live to see her daughter grow. The Queen's last request was to name her child. The Queen, with the little strength she had, called her child, Kairi White, then the Queen died.

A year passed, and though the King had Kairi, her sweet and innocent daughter who loved him unconditionally, he still felt loneliness in his heart. He soon met a beautiful woman named Larxene. The King fell in love with her, and soon, they were married. Sadly, when Kairi was five years old, her father died from a horrible sickness. Soon Larxene's true nature was revealed. Though Larxene was beautiful, she had the tongue and attitude of a serpent, and her heart was full of darkness. All she wanted to be was the fairest in the land. Though the kingdom thrived, the people were all but miserable, and little Kairi felt alone more than ever.

Years passed, and soon, Kairi grew to be more and more beautiful every day. Larxene feared that Kairi would soon be fairest in the land. Larxene soon sent Kairi to be a servant and work in rags from sunup to sundown. Kairi, though hurt by the Larxene's actions, she never minded the work. However, all Kairi wanted was to feel loved and everyone to happy again and refused to stop hoping for her dream to come true.

Unknown to the princess, she was safe as long as Larxene's mirror told her that Larxene was the fairest in the land, Kairi would be safe from her wrath.

Larxene quickly and quietly walked down the hall, not even making the heels of her shoes' heel click. Her hair was short, stopping a little above her neck as yellow as the shining sun, and her eyes were as green as serpents. She only wore a black dress that covered her feet and dragged around her. She soon reached a small door, quickly opened it, and slammed it behind her. Larxene smirked as she summoned knives to her hand, standing between her fingers. The blades soon were surrounded by lightning. She then threw the knives through the air. The blades hit the lanterns, and they soon sparked to life. "If only I could throw them at something, alive," she sighed as if recalling a sweet memory. She then looked up to see a large oval mirror. She then stepped up to it and raised her hands. "Slave in the magic mirror, come from the farthest space," she folded her arms and started to lift her hands again slowly. "Through wind and darkness, I summon thy," the wind began to blow through the room. "Speak," lightning flashed and filled with smoke and fire the mirror from the inside. "Let me see thy face."

The fire and smoke cleared and revealed a boy about the age of 17 with faded dark blue hair that covered his left eye with ebony-colored eyes wearing a black coat uniform with zippers all around his outfit as held a book in his hand and held it up reading as if not. "You have summoned, Lady Larxene," he said without looking up from his book.

Larxene glared at the mirror. "You're very smug for spirit trapped in a mirror, Zexion."

Zexion closed his book and turned to Larxene with no sign of a reaction. For as long as he could remember, he was trapped in that mirror, passed down from person to person. He stopped caring as no one could break him as, like him, he loved knowledge. So, when he was with Larxene, her threats meant nothing him. No one person meant anything to him.

"Exactly, I'm trapped, so I am allowed to be smug," he finally said Larxene's look didn't change. Zexion sighed, almost bored. "But I'm your servant; slave is unnecessary. What do you wish to know, my Queen?" he asked.

Larxene smiled. "Much better," she said smoothly. "Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"

Zexion sighed as he closed his, and his book floated, and the pages turned on on their own. Suddenly the book slammed closed, and his shot open. Larxene could have sworn he gave a quick smirk. Though she found it impossible, Zexion never smirked for as long as she's had the mirror and spoke to him. Zexion finally spoke as the book landed in his and opened again. He then looked down and read the from his book, "Fame is your beauty majesty, but behold a lovely maid, I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace, alas she is more fair thy."

Larxene hands were soon surrounded with lightning as she showed her gritted teeth. "What?!" she yelled, and the lightning immediately surrounded her whole body and raised her hair and a bit of her dress. Zexion looked up, not amused or afraid. This wasn't the first time, though it had been a minute since he had last given her that news. The lightning settled, lowering her dress and hair, but the sparks still surrounded her body.

"Another lashing," Zexion said emotionless, now reading his book.

"She will get more than a lash!" Larxene shouted as sparks flew from her body. "Give me a name! Who is she?!"

Zexion sighed, and the pages began to flip again. He soon began to read again, "Her hair is a dark flame. Her heart her bright like the sun. Her eyes blue as the sky."

Larxene's eyes widened, and her anger rose higher, and the lighting surrounded her with vigor she had never seen. She summoned her knives and gave a loud scream as she threw her blades at the wall ad lightning sparks flew through the air. She then turned to the mirror again with rage. "You lying piece of glass!" she growled as summoned her knives back.

Zexion looked up with an emotionless face. "If you look past your temper, you will remember, I have never lied, nor can I." Larxene just glared. She knew that description and has seen that person all her life. She hated her for being in her life. She married King for fame, recognition, fortune, and a little bit of love. But she never wanted that person to come with what she got. She never wanted her. "Kairi is the fairest in the land." Without another word, Zexion faded away as soon as he slammed his book shut.

Larxene threw her down knives to the ground, and sparks flew all over the room. "Kairi!" she with venom her voice. The day she feared finally came, now had to get rid of her problem, once and for all.
