Chapter 12: Will He Lose His Job?

[It was the afternoon after the history test. Henry was really… really confident in his answers, and was also happy about his goodbye kiss he got from Charlotte. Soon, he gets home, and walks in proud… until he sees his parents, glaring at him.]

"Mom… Dad…, what's going on?", Henry asks, confused.

"We got a call from your teacher, Ms. Shapen, and she said you failed your history test", Mrs. Hart says.

"What? How? I thought I got everything right?!", Henry exclaims.

"Son, a question on that test was: "What year did World War 1 start?", and you put "1936".

"Maybe, I-I wasn't so sure about that, but I promise I can make it up. I'll study all night and-", Henry gets cut off.

"No, Henry, you need to learn to be responsible.", Mrs. Hart says.

"What are you saying?"

"Henry, you need to quit your job at Junk-N-Stuff.", Mr. Hart says.

[Henry couldn't believe this! All over a stupid test!]

"What?! No?! I can't quit my job at Junk-N-Stuff. I love working there!", Henry exclaims.

"Henry, you sweep the floors of the place and sell old junk… I think there's better jobs out there, son."

[Henry couldn't believe what he's hearing. Quit being Kid Danger? Stop protecting the lives of Swellview? No, he couldn't. He couldn't quit, couldn't just give up like that. He had to pass the re-take of the history test and make get his job back!]
