The Western Son

Tohsaka Aoi has three children in the household now, when a year after that day, the couple who hired her died in war, that goblins delivered the baby to her on instructions of the couple in question.

She was the birth mother of Harry James Potter, the heir to the Potter Family. And she was 15 to their much-older ages, around university age, maybe?

Rituals were made and the couple sought her out as ahem, 'ideal surrogate'. James Potter paid her parents 10 million in gold coins that made her family nearly set for life, and that money went to 'beautifying' her for marriage in the future.

She has a fiancee in Kariya, who was discouraging her to marrying him as he told her what horrors await in the Matou Household. He really loves her but loved enough that Kariya was willing to stay single for life to protect her and her sanity.

So now, her current fiancee is Tohsaka Tokiomi.

Naturally, she never told both men about little Harry for his safety. And it was her parents who were raising Harry two years after weaning him off her milk.

By age 5, Harry is aware she is his birth mother as his 'mother' got hit by a curse in war that left her too frail to have a baby. So they hired her as a surrogate and then changed his looks so he'd resemble his parents through genetics. However, what they could not change, was his inborn sorcery trait he inherited from his real mother, the ability to maximize a partner's pedigree.

Due to her lineage and that of his father's, he was a pureblood, but to the public, he's a half-blood since James Potter's marriage was publicly known. That his father married a 'muggleborn'. When his parents got killed, an aging Potter Family elf that was dying took their son to her in Japan to raise in safety, with documentation that she is Legal Guardian if Sirius Black hasn't stepped up and things Harry must know.

He learned stuff his parents left behind for him. About their world, and what they liked and hated about it, and about Potter Family Magicks. And with the Zenjou Sorcery Trait, his talent and skill was a lot that mastery came quick for him that made him very happy.

By the time he was five, his mother married Tohsaka Tokiomi. And due to magus laws about marriage, he can't approach his mother ever again which saddened him. At least he still has grandparents.

He started learning magic and how the world works at age 5, and going to school starting at seven years old.

Magus Upbringing is different from the upbringing of normal kids.

It's a life of discipline and study. That he didn't behave like other children do. He was far too mature, precocious and studious for his age beyond his years.

Every after school, he goes home to study magic, under his teacher Tohsaka Tokiomi, in regards to basics kids should know before he learns his family arts, so he has an understanding of how to learn his parents' stuff and some idea on how to manage his family affairs. His forefathers have a tendency of creating successful businesses, then selling SAID business upon retirement that the family fortune, was massive. His fortune was comparable to that, of the 12 lords' Big Three. It helps that his family history was two centuries younger than said big three...but his potential was just as immense.

So he was taught General Fundamentals. It mixes both general basic knowledge and things a mage-apprentice should know, before they can even THINK of learning magical fields. It lasts five years in lessons all in all. That, and fundamentals of managing a household and finances came with said lessons in tandem with a goblin instructor they hired so nobody can rip Harry off as the creatures loathed any form of being stolen from.

He was ten years old when he mastered everything(at the cost of a happy childhood of fun and games), and Mister Tokiomi's daughters were literal babies. Rin was four years old and Sakura, still in her diapers.

They're also Harry's half-sisters so he had to hide how much he cared. He adored his little sisters.

Tokiomi was already thinking of Sakura's future as being a Tohsaka Magus, a mage that practices jewelcraft...he cannot support two children. Finances alone, ye gads! He was already considering the Matou Family...

'Then why not have Sakura under my family's protection Tokiomi-sensei?' Harry suggested. 'As you know I am the last of my family, unwed and no kids and too young for both.' he snorted. 'And according to my late parents' letter, my relatives are all nasty pieces of work so that's a no-go. Incase anything happens to me, the Potter Family will continue on, so I will adopt her as my little sister in magic and blood to make her my heir.' he proposed. 'Her future as a magus is secure since my late father has immense wealth owing to our forefathers' ahem, talent in amassing a fortune.'

That got Tokiomi interested. Harry was 'stupidly wealthy' that Sakura can pursue any craft she wanted with no worries!

'Hmmm...can Sakura freely pursue a future in your care?'

'Of course, sensei. Not to mention Clock Tower is just a car ride away for when she grows up.' Harry smiled. 'But since I'm still studying and training, I'll have Aoi-san take care of Sakura-chan until I am fifteen years old. Can I go to London with you and buy a House Elf while you meet your Relic Supplier?' this was so Sakura can have time with their mother and sister. A loophole. And with the upcoming Grail Wars, survival is impossible. That means Harry can safely live with his mother and half-sisters afterward.

'A what now?'

'House Elves are loyal servants about two feet tall little elves who form a magical bond with a master. They live longer through their master's magic as without a master, their lifespan is ten years.' said Harry. 'The more they like their bonded family via being treated well and kindly, their services are magically-stellar in housekeeping, cooking and even household management if taught, along with being powerful magic users if their masters are threatened, but their strength is based on their master's, effectively copying your strength level. However, if mistreated, they will rebel. Subpar work, finding loopholes in orders, or even taking their time. If you're in danger, they'd sooner help your enemy than help the nasty master.' he explained.

'Is that right...so it's like the Master-Servant system of the upcoming Grail War?'

'Pretty much, but unlike Servants, elves aren't mana hogs by the minute, thankfully, and the bonding spell isn't as wordy as the Grail Ritual.' Harry snorted. 'They only take once a year on their birthday, kinda like an annual pay.'

'Well, that, I can deal with.' Tokiomi muttered in relief. 'We'll fly to London to secure an artifact for the Holy Grail War and you arrange things to get Sakura adopted as a Potter.'

Harry did just that when the family arrived in London to get Sakura magically adopted, before they do the Magus Ritual Adoption to make Sakura a Potter in magic and blood.

Harry requested after giving his blood, that Sakura have his mother, Lily Potter's hair and eyes to symbolize her adoption, and gave her the name Cerise Rosaflor Donna Potter. To the public Family Tapestry in Gringotts, just Cerise as middle names are kept secret to avoid curse magic through names.

Tokiomi called him out on the blatant naming. Cerise is french for 'cherry' = 'sakura'. Rosaflor literally means 'pink flower' and Donna is 'lady'. Harry was famously known as 'Harry James Potter', but he had a just as weird middle name that for the life of him he cannot pronounce and quite long, much less spell as what language was it even?!

Tokiomi purchased a House Elf to manage his needs during the war. His wife finds them cute and wanted a female elf for Sakura, picking the cutest one she had Harry buy for the toddler. Tokiomi chose a male servant for himself, naturally, but he disdained the filthy rags as working uniforms, not befitting a servant of a prestigious household, but due to how elf culture works, they had to give the elves blueprints on how to make their work uniforms to prevent freeing them by accident. At least that way they have presentable working outfits befitting such known households. Elves make their own clothes to wear. If a master GAVE THEM clothes, they'll be freed!

It helps that Harry told him that elves are included in the list of heirlooms to be passed down as was done by wealthy households, which means Rin can inherit their housekeeper.

Once things are settled, Harry sought out his Ancestral Home, the Potter Estate. He would have to get it ready during summer vacation and maybe, change the furniture.

'...looks like Kelly's gonna be overworked...how on earth could father leave the house in this state after his parents' death? The war is no excuse!' Harry choked to his horror and utter dismay at the state of neglect, decay and what-have-you. 'Kelly, can you do this alone?' he asked worriedly. 'This is a big-ass place and utterly neglected at that!'

'With magic, Kelly can do it, little master.' Kelly piped up, hoping to impress her master and not get punished on her first week.

'I hope so...so here's your schedule after you take me home to Japan: 5 am, 12 noon and 7 pm, you are to cook and eat your meals. After dinner you are to take a thorough bath and sleep. The rest of the hours, you are to clean the estate. I want everything very clean, and any glass, wood or metal polished till they gleamed. All forms of fabric washed and no sign of pests, mundane or magical in the estate. Anything broken but can be fixed, do so. Anything beyond salvation throw it away. And take great, absolute care of any books, diaries and notebooks you may find, and magically restore them if in a bad shape.'

'Yes young master, Kelly do it.' Kelly nodded.

'According to the goblins, they did an inventory of important artifacts and magical goods grandpa Fleamont thankfully shoved in the family vaults, so pests are all there is to worry about...after cleaning inside the house, I want you to clean the outside...scrub the roof and walls, I want all weeds removed because I'll plan the gardening soon.' he said. 'Then there's the stairs, nearly forgot about the stairs.' said Harry with a cringe. 'The stairs are a health hazard, an accident waiting to happen! Destroy the stairs and rebuild it to my specifications. It's a miracle my late family hasn't broken a neck with stairs like those! Who the hell is the family architect when this mansion was built?! I even have to buy paint or wallpaper to make the walls look decent!'

July 1991...

Harry made sure to purchase the best wards money can buy in Gringotts. Particularly detecting types of magic and dealing with it, Blood Wards that only allow specific people in the house, and anti-portkey, anti-apparition, anti-tracking and anti-kidnapping.

He also had a workshop built underground, and well-ventilated. He made two. One for the Head of Household and the other for the family heir.

A Magus Workshop is comprised of a Forge, Crafting Area, and a Chemistry Area. The walls are of course, lined up with bookshelves of magical tomes. There is also to be sufficient lighting, and way for air to come in and out and with spells, keeps room temperature comfortable. Harry had been to Clock Tower, and ensuring Kelly can get in ANYWHERE...stole valuable books and items for himself. Luckily its undetected. Then again, mages warded only against other mages. They didn't take into account beings like Kelly! He also has access to Asian goods that his workshop has all tools of the trade and he didn't even have to spend.

Snickering in satisfaction, he waited for his Hogwarts letter to come.

His estate was fully cleaned, Kelly educated and he was just barely beginning in creating his garden. A garden of medicine as he wants.

By July 31, his birthday...his numerous wards cleaned up his letter before it reached him.

'It's finally here.'

Truth be told, he'd rather attend Clock Tower at age 15.

Then again, he can refuse it~

...on the other hand, these bastards will hunt him down until they get their way, given the significance of his existence to their community. He cannot lead them to his mother and sisters.

It was good that he got a Necromancer to exorcise his scar, after he found out WHY he can't get rid of it by magical means. His scar vanished as soon as he got exorcised, so the tell-tale sign that he's Harry Potter is no longer there.

He took the letter and simply looked at the Shopping List.

'Well...I don't need a wand, but my usage of wandless magic should at least, be a trump card.' he mused. 'Kelly.'

'Yes, master?'

'Have you done research as I asked?'

'Yes master. I have the personalities of all Hogwarts Teachers as you requested.'

'Good. I need to know how to act around them. Was there a red flag in particular?'

'Ehhh yes master.' Kelly now looked awkward. 'One Severus Snape, the Potions Teacher. He hates everyone who's not in Slytherin House. Not only that, according to senpai-elves in school, he was deeply in love with Madam Lily, but deeply resentful that Master James got her instead. Seeing young master will irk him for sure, bad enough he's a very prejudiced man...all students hate him and his unfairness sir.'

'What got him attached to Slytherins, I wonder?' Harry wondered aloud.

'Simply being in Slytherin House, you're instantly branded as a Dark Wizard and Death Eater in training because the worst Dark Lord in British History, Voldemort came from Slytherin House, sir! Life is very hard simply for being a Slytherin...so he evens out the odds somehow.' said Kelly, twiddling her thumbs. 'Granted, select few purebloods threw in their lot with the Dark Lord but not everyone. He protects the blameless for the actions of the few, but if its young master...his hatred against anyone named Potter will go through the roof, senpai-elves say!'

'Oh boy.' Harry groaned, face-palming on his tea table in a gazebo by his garden. 'Dad left me a mess!' he whined. 'I don't know how to deal with stuff like this! I'm gonna ask mom when I get back to Japan...'

Japan, days later...

'Ara, is that what Kelly-chan found out?' Aoi gaped at her son.

'Sooo yeah, petty school grudges regarding a Love Triangle spoken for, and the jilted one is my Potions Teacher.' Harry grumbled. 'By the way, where's sensei?'

'He took in a new student not long ago, so they're spending er, class hours in the Workshop like you used to.' said Aoi. 'He is Kotomine Kirei-kun. He's a recent widow and a Church Member who recently gained Command Spells for the Holy Grail War three years from now. He's 25 this year.'

'A widower? He's too old to be anyone's student now...'

'Well...his wife was a frail Exorcist with a body that can detect demons...but also plagued with a non-existent immune system.' Aoi sighed. 'Poor girl...at least their daughter Karen-chan wasn't afflicted with the same disease, but got her mother's power.'

'Heee...'

'Well, when it's time to go, we will be staying in your house with the House Elves' help. Its a bad idea to fly out of the country on a plane with good reason.' said Aoi sheepishly. 'I'm glad you adopted Sakura-chan...you see, before Tokiomi became my fiancee, my first fiancee who dumped me was Matou Kariya...he ended our pairing for my own good when he told me what craft the Matou practices were...using Crest Worms.'

'Worms?!' Harry balked in disgust. They're the lowest form of familiars but if they invade the human body, if a male, will eat part of their brain and spine. If female, will eat their placenta and uterus, and as they force the woman to produce mana for their food, torment them with sexual arousal enough to make them go insane!

'Yes...if he married me, worms will be implanted in our baby's body...our child would suffer in its short life, hence.' Aoi shuddered. 'Kariya-kun ran away from home after ending our pairing and talking to my parents about it. So they gave me to Tokiomi instead to be safer.'

'Heee...'

Harry understood what his mother couldn't bring herself to say.

The Matou approached the Tohsakas for his younger sister.

LIKE HELL?!

'So they approached you?'

'Yes...I'm glad you got to Sakura-chan first...' Aoi choked out. 'She will live life insane if they succeeded. She will have no future. And being a Matou Heir is even worse.'

The reason Tokiomi agreed to Harry adopting Sakura was he was Family Head by default, and he was wealthy to give Sakura a future as a magus. Not to mention she's near Clock Tower in her future.

With Harry as her sponsor, she'll get an easy in as well.

So Harry's proposal came through.

The Matou, once a prestigious family is now a 'living corpse' thus the Association looks down on them now.
