Chapter 10 Gigantamax and Gym Battle

Before they go back to the library, they decide to return to the Plain Plains since it will be better if they know about Dynamax and Gigantamax. Once they are back at the Plain Plains, Ash says, "You see those wells in the opening?"

"Yeah, but what do they do? It seems like there isn't any waters inside." Max says.

"Well, it is related to the Dynamax that we often tell you." Namie says as she takes out six Dynamax Bands. "Wear them and you will be able to use Dynamax."

As they put on the bands, Nate says, "Now we will show you how we do the Max Raid Battles, Rosa, Ash and I will need a volunteer to help out."

Bonnie says, "Can I do? I want to try it out."

"Sure." As Ash takes out a Wishing Piece and throws into the well, then it glows as they all go inside. Then they can see a Gigantamax Snorlax as the group are shocked.

"What's with that Snorlax? It is too big!" Professor Oak says in shock.

"Yes, this is what the Dynamax is about, the size of the Pokemon will become much bigger and sometimes it will change forms. Now Meloetta, come out and help us."

Nate says, "Lopunnny, I need your help." Rosa says, "You too, Possedoll."

Once the three of them send out their Pokemon, Bonnie says, "Then Gardebed! I choose you." Then as the four Pokemon are out, Nate does the Mega Evolution, as for Bonnie, she sees that her band is glowing and Ash says, "Now Bonnie, you are the only one that can use Dynamax now."

"How should I do it?" Bonnie asks in confusion.

"Just recall your Pokemon to your Pokeball and then places it on top of the band." Lillie says as Bonnie does it, and then her Pokeball also becomes bigger and she throws it out, then her Gardebed is bigger as well.

"Wow...my very first Dynamax..." Bonnie cheers.

"Bonnie, now it is not time to be happy, command your Pokemon and tell it to use Max Overgrowth."

"Okay. Max Overgrowth!" Bonnie says. As the move is used, Snorlax is being hit and the field becomes Grassy Terrain. "Where did that Grassy Terrain come from?" Max asks in surprise.

"This is the effect of Max Moves, it not only gives damage to your opponent, it will have additional effects that can change the battle."

But as they are attacking, they see Snorlax stands up and then it creates a shield. "It's getting desperate..." Namie says. Then it uses Max Quake, which shakes them all.

"Damn it...if we want to attack it, we have to break the barrier. It needs 6 attacks to break it." Ash says as they all attack. But after a while, Bonnie's Gardebed returns back to normal.

"What? It ends?" Bonnie asks in shock. "You can only Dynamax for three turns and it will be back to normal. But if the Dynamax Pokemon is wild, then it will be differet." Ash says.

"I see." Bonnie says. Then Snorlax starts to fire a beam and Rosa says, "Watch out, it's G-Max Replenish!"

As they are attacked, then the Sitrus Berry that Snorlax ate grows on the tree and it eats it. "Now its health is back...this is not good."

Ash says, "Meloetta, we should use our Z Move." Meloetta nods as they start to do the dance. "Ancient Melody!" Then Meloetta fires giant music notes and then it strikes at the Pokemon and then Snorlax explodes. Ash says, "Bonnie, take out your empty Pokeball and scans it to your band."

Bonnie does it and then the ball grows bigger. "Now toss it!" Lillie yells as Bonnie throws the giant Pokeball into the Snorlax, it opens and creates large winds that makes them shake. Once the shake is over, the ball returns back to normal and it is signaled captured. "I caught a Snorlax."

"So that is Max Raid Battles are about..." Oak says. "Interesting."

"Indeed. One player has a chance to capture the Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon after defeating it. But if you miss, then it will disappear due to the teleportation."

"As you can see, there are some G-Max Moves that we need to worry. The Normal Type ones are G-Max Coin Rush made by Gigantamax Meowth, which earns some money but make the opponent confused. G-Max Cuddle made by Gigantamax Eevee, which infatuates the opponent. G-Max Season Blast made by Gigantamax Sawsbuck, which randomly changes the weather. G-Max Artificial Cannon by Gigantamax Silvally, which creates the shield to protect yourself. G-Max Rebelling by Gigantamax Rebelboss, which has a chance to let the opponent not willing to listen to their commands, and finally G-Max Heavy Work by Gigantamax Offigirl, which lowers your opponent's speed harshly."

"So those G-Max Moves can be used if you have a Normal Type Move?" Max asks.

"Yeah, and that your Pokemon needs to Gigantamax as well." Lillie says. Then they decide to spend a day finding Gigantamax Pokemon as well as Dynamax Pokemon. But they aren't lucky as they didn't manage to capture them. But they sure have a lot of fun.

Once they are back to the Gym, they are surprised to see Aurora with her Elite 4 member Noah, Whitney, Norman and May, Lenora and Cherren, Ilima there. Max asks, "Dad? May? What are you doing here?"

"Hello again, Max." Norman hugs the boy as May sees Ash. "Ash...we are sorry..."

"It's in the past. But I see that Mom has invited every Gym Leaders, Elite 4 and Champions to the region, right?" Ash turns to his mother as she nods. "Indeed. I want them to see everything about this region has to offer now that there are no evil teams."

Max then turns to Nate and asks, "So can you let Dad watch our Gym Battle?"

"Sure." Nate says as they head inside the library. Lenora says, "So your Gym is in the Library as well."

Nate says, "Yes, Ms. Lenora. I was inspired by your gym. As you can see, Rosa and I are born from Unova as well."

"I see. I am glad that I can influence you guys." Lenora laughs a little. Then Naomi presses a button as the book shelves start to move, and then the field rise above the ground and then the ceiling also opens. Once they are done, the glass walls appear out of nowhere and then it creates the perfect barrier.

"You see, the glass walls are soundproof, so that we won't make too much noise for those who wants to keep reading." Nate says as they all nod. "Norceus, come on out."

He tosses a Pokeball and a grey colored Arceus like Pokemon appear. Max immediately scans the Pokemon.

Norceus: The Normal Alpha Pokemon: Normal Type. It is made by Normal Gem, Norceus can use the Normal Powers given by Arceus.

"So Ash, it isn't Arceus?" Bonnie asks.

"No, it is made from Normal Gem. It can create Pokemon, too. But Normal Type only. So Nate, why send it out?" Ash asks.

"He is our referee for the battle." Nate says.

"I see." N says.

Bonnie says, "So can I go first? Max?"

"Sure. But after that it is going to be my turn." Max says.

Nate says, "Then I'll be your opponent. Bonnie." Bonnie nods as they go to the field. Norceus says, "The battle between Gym Leader Nate and challenger Bonnie is about to begin, each trainer can use up to 6 Pokemon, when one side lost all the Pokemon, the other side wins. In this gym battle, Mega Evolution, Z moves, Dynamax, Star Badges and Warrior Weapons can be used once in a battle."

"What are the last three?" Norman asks Max, Max says, "They are some cool stuff, you'll see."

"Now send out your Pokemon." Norceus says.

"Disdance, I need your help." Nate tosses a Pokeball and sends out a Disco ball with arms, legs and a face appear on the , Bonnie scans the Pokemon to learn it.

Disdance. The Disco Pokemon. Noraml and Electric Type. Disdance can play all kinds of music to cater to their owners, it is also round enough to create some damages in the dance ball.

"Snorlax, I choose you." As Bonnie sends out the Pokemon out, the battle begins.

"Snorlax, use High Horsepower!" Bonnie says as Snorlax charges forward, but Disdance dodges and uses Discharge, causing Snorlax to be in pain. Then it uses Take Down to slam it into the glass wall.

"Wow, despite being the first gym leader, he is quite strong." Serena says.

"Indeed." Professor Oak says.

As Snorlax hits the car with a Giga Impact, Nate says, "Not bad. But not good enough as well. Disdance, use Gyro Ball!"

Disdance starts to spin around and it keeps hitting Snorlax. Bonnie says, "Snorlax, use Protect and then Hammer Arm!"

As Disdance is about to hit it again, Snorlax manages to protect itself and then slams into the Disdance, causing it to faint in the end.

"Disdance is unable to battle, Snorlax wins."

"Now that is one down." Max says. "He has five more to go."

Nate says, "Well done, Disdance, I am impressed at your hard work, Bonnie. But here is my second Pokemon. Go, Matchad."

As the Pokemon appears, Bonnie says, "Return for now, Snorlax. Tyrantrum, I need your help." As the Rock and Dragon Type appears, Ash says, "So you got your Tyrantrum back..."

"You know that Pokemon?" Ilima asks him. "It is a rare fossil Pokemon."

"Yeah, Bonnie found him being chased by Team Rocket and then she protects it back to the lab." Ash says.

Then they are shocked to see that Nate Mega Evolves his Matchad and then it uses Stomping Tantrum, due to the fact that it missed its Heat Wave on Tyrantrum. And it manages to knock out the Tyrantrum with a Dazzling Gleam.

"I never knew there are a lot of special moves on that Pokemon..." Bonnie says as she calls out Dedenne, who uses Nuzzle to paralyzes the Pokemon and then finishes with the Play Rough.

Naomi recalls her Pokemon and says, "I must say you did a good job, but here is my third Pokemon. Bottly!"

As the bottle like Pokemon appear, the match has begun. Bottly uses Water Pulse, which hits Dedenne, but Dedenne uses Discharge to make damage on the Bottly. After several hits, Bottly and Dedenne can be seen injured.

"Let's wrap this up, Bottly." Nate says as she uses the Normal Star Badge, and then it uses Hyper Beam to knock out Dedenne before it can dodge.

"Dedenne is unable to battle, Bottly wins."

Noah asks, "What is the Star Badge? And why did it defeat Dedenne like it is super effective?"

After explaining the group about the function, they are amazed and they also wanted to have one.

Bonnie quickly recalls the Pokemon and says, "Gardebed, you are next!"

As the Pokemon appears, it starts with a Razor Leaf, but Bottly uses Iron Defense to protect itself. After serious attacks, Gardebed is severely injured.

"Gardebed, don't give up and use Power Whip!" Bonnie yells as Gardebed then gets back up and slams the Pokemon, causing it to faint in the end.

Nate sees that he lost three Pokemon, then Nate says, "I guess it is my turn to shine." Then he steps onto the field as the other Normal Leaders are shocked.

"What is he doing?" Whitney asks.

"Here it comes...the Warrior Task..." Lillie says.

Nate then takes out the sword and then it uses Tri Attack, it manages to paralyzes the Gardebed and then a Hyper Beam is able to knock it out.

"No way..." Bonnie looks at her fallen Pokemon in horror. "Then I'll do it too." Bonnie jumps into the field and then they start to have a sword fight. Norman says, "This is really madness...they are fighting instead of having Pokemon battles?"

"Don't worry. Mr. Norman, they are harmless, they can give a person to use Pokemon moves and attend the battle like a Pokemon." Ash says.

Then they see Bonnie uses Double Team and knocks the sword down. Nate says, "I guess I am unable to battle." Then he walks back to his field and then sends out Silvally. Bonnie gulps as she is going to fight a Gigantamax Silvally, who has been a rainbow colored and then it uses Max Airstream to knock the sword down. So Bonnie goes back and sends out her Gigantamax Snorlax. The two of them battle really hard and in the end they both faint at the same time.

"That is good, Bonnie. Now Heangel! Come on out!" Nate says as he sends out the Pokemon.

"Are you going to use a Legendary Pokemon?" Bonnie says in surprise.

"Don't worry, the Legendary Pokemon's powers are limited, the ones with true powers are Ash's." Nate says.

"I see." Bonnie says, since the typing, she decides to send out Meowstic. Meowstic has been using Psychic Type moves to hit it, but Heangel proves to be a strong Pokemon. In the end, Nate starts to do the pose.

"Heangel, now let's show them all we get! Use Full Restore Light!" Nate says.

The light then injured Meowstic, but it still stands strong as Bonnie says, "Now!"

Then the Future Sight appears and it hits Heangel, much to Nate's shock. "What the..."

"So she used Future Sight beforehand...that's amazing." Dawn says.

"Yeah." Cilan says.

"My hope is in this battle. Normal Star Badge activate! And then use Covet!" Then Meowstic uses the Super effective Normal Move to defeat the Legendary Pokemon. Nate sees how he lost and then he smiles, "You are brilliant, Bonnie. Here is the Standard Badge."

Bonnie happily gets the badge and then leaves the field so that Max can have a battle with Naomi. The match is also intense, and Norman is really worried once he is using the weapons, but it turns out to be fine and then Max wins in the end.

Naomi recalls her Pokemon and goes to Max. "I guess I still have a lot to learn. Here is the Standard Badge." Max takes the badge and thanks her.

"Now Dawn, do you want to do the Contests?" Ash turns to her as she nods.

"Of course." Dawn says, "What about you, May?"

"Well, I want to watch it first before I am going to decide." May says as they all go to the Contest they go to the contest hall, Dawn quickly registers for the spot in the Contest.

"Evoleon! Let's finish it off with the Z Move!" Dawn says as she and Evoleon uses the move Extreme Evoboost, then all 17 Eeveelutions appear on the stage as she gives a cool ending.

"Our contestant Dawn has made a final Z move! And it is amazing to see all 17 Eeveelutions!" The Announcer says.

As Dawn keeps advancing using Piplup, she finally defeats the last opponent, who uses a Meowth, with the giant Bubble Beam that shapes like a heart.

"It is decided! The winner of the Silkan Contest is Dawn! Everyone please give her cheers!"

As the crowd cheers for her, Dawn hugs Piplup for its success, then she is awarded with the Ribbon.

Back outside, Serena says, "That is amazing, Dawn."

"Thanks, the new Z move sure made my performances improved." Dawn says.

Then as Ash sees the sun setting, he says, "Naomi, is it the time?"

Naomi says, "Yes, Ash." She turns to others. "Since today is Friday, our company will be holding a dance party in the Buffet."

This announcement made the girls sparkles. Nate says, "And besides, Ash and Lillie will also show their Z moves in the end of the ball. They were great for performances, but not for battling."

Max says, "So do we need to dress up formally for the occasion? I didn't bring my formal clothes."

Ash says, "Ah, don't worry, Max. As a prince. I have always bring my spare clothes."

Then he takes them to change, everyone has dressed quite fancy.

As for Ash and Lillie, they are wearing their Prince and Princess costume. Which catches everyone's eyes as the crowd starts to cheer for them.

Ash and Lillie walks to the stage, Ash says, "Hello and welcome to the Friday Dance Party. I hope all of you can enjoy this special day and have fun!" He takes out Disdance.

"Now Disdance, let the party begin." Ash says.

"Roger that." Disdance says as it plays slow music and everyone starts to dance with their partner.

Gladion sees Serena and Dawn talking, he takes out a hand to Serena and says, "Do you mind if I dance with you?"

Serena has a little blush and says, "Sure. I like to." Then she places her hand as they follow the music.

Max and Bonnie also dance in a pair since they were close to each other. Dawn dances with Nate while Cilan dances with Naomi. Professor Oak, N and the others decide to watch them dancing as they also enjoy the music.

After several hours, Ash says, "Now it is time for the finishing. Are you ready, my Princess?"

"Of course, my Prince." Lillie says as both of them activate their Z moves.

Ash uses the move the End of the World, which makes Judgement scatters from the sky as rainbow colors. Lillie also does the move Rainbow Attack to hit the Judgement, causing rainbow sparkles floating everywhere. The crowd cheers for the couple with a lot of applause.

"This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen..." Cilan says.

"Indeed. It really is the best for the ending." Dawn says.

Then the group finally leaves the restaurant with contentment, Ash books the most luxurious dorms for them as they have a night in the RPA.

And this chapter concludes the Normal Type Part of the Story, the next part will be the Bugger Forest if you have seen my other stories. The Bug types are going to be next. And because I decide to write a Full Battle, I will only write either Max or Bonnie's battle and I hope you understand.
