Kimberly spent at two hours up in her hotel room, trying to come up a good explanation of why she broke things off with Tommy in a letter. Not to mention Kimberly also had to figure out how to tell him nothing could ever happened between them and last night was just a one time thing and it should never happened again. After Kimberly got ready and grabbed her cell and room key, she headed down the lobby to meet Tommy.

" The reason I asked to meet for lunch well early dinner is because there's something we need to talk about and we both know that we can't avoid it anymore. I need to you why I wrote that letter." She said getting to the point of this conversation.

" You really want to talk about this?" Tommy asked as he leans back against his chair.

" Yeah," Kimberly looks straight at Tommy and started the conversation." Leaving you and the guys was the hardest thing I had to do Tommy. What was even harder is trying to make this long distance relationship work between us. But with my training and with you and the guys saving Angel Grove and fighting against Rita and Zed. We barely had time to call each other. So a year later I met someone. His name was Devin and he was also on my Olympic team. We had the same couch. I wanted to call you but I felt a letter would have been better."

" You should have called Kim." Tommy said as Kimberly nods her head in agreement.

"I know and I am sorry for that Tommy. Um now that is out of the way." She said with a chuckle under her breath as she was trying to find a way to tell him this." Last night was a mistake."

" Was it?" Tommy asked as he leans forward and couldn't help but smirk slightly." Because I don't think it was as matter of fact, I think last night was amazing."

Kimberly scoffed and rolled her eyes." Well that makes one of us Tommy. Look last night shouldn't have happened and we both know that. Tommy you're married to Kat and I like Kat. What we did, it can't happen again Tommy. I refuse to become the other woman."

" Kimberly," Tommy stopped for a moment as he reaches across the table and grasped her hand into his. " Yes I'm married to Kat and yes I do love her. But not the way I love you. It's always been you Kim and you know that."

" Tommy what are you saying?" Kimberly asked in confusion.

" What I'm saying is, I'm still in love with you Kimberly Hart and last night just proved that you're still in love with me. Call it fate or whatever brought us together again." Tommy said with a cheeky grin on his face.

" Are you telling me, that you're willing to leave Kat for me?" Kimberly question as she looked at him for a moment as she tried to figure him out.

Tommy grins and nods his head." That's exactly what I am saying."

Kimberly shook her head as she lets go of his hand." Tommy I can't ask you to do that. Just because we had a one night stand. Doesn't mean you can just leave your wife for me." Kimberly sighs softly as she wipe her face with her hands.

" I am going to tell Kat about what happened last night. " He threw his hand up and shook his head." And before you say anything else, Kat and I.. Well let's just say, our marriage isn't what it used to be."

" What do you mean?"

" About few years I found out that Kat was cheating on me, with one of her clients while she in New York on business." Tommy scoffed as he shook his head." She said the affair has been going on for two months and then one day she finally decided to tell me." Kimberly was taken aback what she just heard. She learns back against her chair." Wow." She said under her breath.

" so last night was more of payback for you?"

Tommy nods his head.

" well I have to admit though, At Trini and Jason's, I could tell there wasn't something right between you two. You kept your distance from her and when you two were together, there was so much intention that you can cut it with a knife." Kimberly reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze.

" Talk to her Tommy. Maybe there's still a chance you guys can work it out. I gotta get back to my hotel room and grade those papers." Kimberly said as she lets go of his hand as she grabbed her stuff. Standing up Kimberly leans down and kisses his cheek." Talk to her." Kimberly said once more before she left the restaurant and headed up to her hotel room.

Tommy didn't even watch her leave. He was so lost in his thoughts. Tommy had tried for three years to make his marriage with Kat work again. For them to go back to what they used to be. But ever since Kat told him about the affair with one of her clients. Things haven't been the same between them.

After sitting at the table for another ten minutes Tommy got up and dropped an fifty dollar bill on the table. Walking out of the restaurant and as soon as he got into his jeep wrangler. He pulled out of the lot and headed back home. If he was gonna talk to Kat, it's going have to be now.

Later that night after Kimberly showered and got ready for bed. She decided to read few chapters of the book she started to read just a month before she came home. But of course Kimberly could barely get pass the chapter she was on, Her mind went to Tommy and she started to wonder if Tommy talked to Kat yet and she can't help but wonder if he actually told Kat about last night. A big part of her is really hoping he didn't. Kimberly sighs softly as she placed her book facing down on her lap and reached for her cell. She called Tommy to check on him.

" I can't believe this is happening?! You cheated on me with your ex! And you're telling me, that it's over?" Kat asked as she crossed her arms over her chest." I thought we were working things out. " Kat then snorted as she realized why he cheated on her with Kimberly last night." This is my punishment, my punishment for cheating on you three years ago. Isn't? Isn't?!" Kat asked raising her voice.

" What do you want me to say Kat? Okay yeah I was still hurt from what you did three years ago and last night was gonna be my payback and your punishment. But the moment I was with Kimberly, That's when I realized that I'm still in love with her." Tommy walked over to the nightstand and picked up his cell. When he noticed Kimberly's name flashing across his screen. He hit ignore and let it go to voicemail.

" So now what?" Kat asked as she could feel her voice starting to crack and could feel tears falling down her face." Are you going back to her?"

Tommy sighs softly." I don't know. But right now I can't be here right now." Tommy said as he grabbed his suitcases off of their bed." I'm gonna be over at Kimberly's, for a few nights." He said as he walked passed her.

The moment Kat watched him leave. Kat then suddenly started throw things around the room as she started to screamed in frustration and anger. Kat grabbed the picture frame that held their wedding photo. Kat scoffed and threw the frame across the room and once it hit the wall, it completely shattered. Kat dropped against the bed and just cried until she couldn't cry anymore.

Tommy stepped back after he knocked on Kimberly's door a few times. Once he watched the door open, He could tell Kimberly wasn't awake." Sorry to wake you and I know it's late. But do you think it's okay for me to stay here for a few days?"

Kimberly looks down and noticed he had two suitcases with him. Which meant one thing. Tommy talked to Kat like she suggested and from what she can tell, that conversation didn't go well. " You told her about last night. Didn't you?"

" Yeah I did. I had too. So you gonna let me stay or what?"He asked with a smitk.

Kimberly nods her head and moved to the side." Come on in." Kimberly said as she waved him inside. When Tommy kissed her cheek and thank her once he walked past her. Kimberly then closed the door behind them. Kimberly just hopes what they are doing is the right thing for their sakes. Kimberly then heard a text message chime from her cell. Walking over to the desk Kimberly opened up her text message and noticed she got a text from someone she wasn't expecting to hear from.

" Who's it from?" Tommy asked as he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and rest his chin against her shoulder." Was that Trini?" He questioned.

" Um.. yeah, She just texted me asking if I can take Dylan for a few hours tomorrow." She said as she quickly closed her text message. Kimberly then leans up and kisses him quickly." Come on let's get some sleep."

Dragging and pulling Tommy into bed with her. Crawling next to him. Kimberly wrapped her arms around him as she laid against his chest. Kimberly closed her eyes and hums softly." Please tell me everything is going to be okay and I got nothing to worry about." She said softly.

" You got nothing to worry about and everything is going to be fine. I promise." Tommy said as he held her tightly against him and kisses her forehead." Just go to sleep." He said softly. About few moments later Kimberly and Tommy fell asleep in each other's arms.
