Faramir
I am not a poet. I also do not own Lord of the Rings. Therefore, I am not Tolkien. I know the timeline of this is a little bit off, but I did my best!
Based on the Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.
In a mighty city of white stone,
A young man stands alone.
Forsaken by father, his mother dead,
And in the east is a shadow of dread.
His brother his refuge, smart and strong,
Faramir wonders what he did wrong,
To earn his father's contempt in Minas Tirith's halls,
And slowly his spirit and willpower fall.
Mordor rises, the power of the dark
Faramir begins to leave his mark.
Boromir leaves for the northwest,
To seek for aid on a perilous quest.
Faramir grows, smart and strong,
He leaves for Ithilien, he stays there long.
He meets Frodo, and Osgiliath is taken.
Anything unneeded must be forsaken.
Faramir returns to Minas Tirith and his father,
What he learns there pushes him farther.
He fights for his city and falls in battle,
Now Denethor begins to rattle,
He chooses death, he doesn't try
To save his son, he'd rather they die.
Gandalf saves Faramir, but Denethor falls,
Faramir is now lord of Minas Tirith's halls.
In the houses of Healing he meets Éowyn
Aragorn heals them both, then sets out to win
Against the Dark Lord, and Faramir
Remains behind, the city's cases to hear
He wins Éowyn's heart then Aragorn returns,
Aragorn awards Faramir Ithilien of the many ferns.
The battle is over, the war is won,
And a time of peace has begun.
