"Alright, alright," Pete said as he went to the door. He opened it and Jake stood frozen on the doorstep. "Ah, let me guess, you've lost your key, or rather you've lost my key."

"I don't know, I can't feel my hands," Jake said without moving. "Actually I can't feel a lot of me."

"Are you alright? Your lips have gone blue."

"Really?"

"Come into the house, you're letting all the cold air in," Pete said and Jake stumbled inside. "Ok give me the key," Pete said and Jake handed him the key. "You are freezing Jake, are you sure that you're alright?"

"No, I can't feel my legs," Jake said as his knees buckled beneath him. "Dad,"

"Wow, ok," Pete said as he caught him. "I think that we need to warm you up."

"You think," Jake said, shivering.

"Ok, lets get you into the lounge," Pete said and he walked Jake into the lounge. He sat him down on the sofa and covered Jake with a blanket. "Better?"

"Yeah, thanks dad."

"Just relax there and you'll soon warm up. If you feel sleepy you shout for me ok?"

"Sleepy? Why?"

"Because that would mean that you're hypothermic and if you fall asleep you will die."

"Oh, ok."
