Do their eyes deceive them?

An explanation: Mina, Eijirou, Denki, and Hanta organized a group outing together. It was a free weekend, a rare occasion, so with all the stress of homework and hero training, the four of them wanted some time together as friends. Emphasis on four — Katsuki refused to go no matter what they said. They begged, pleaded, bribed for him to come along, but to no avail.

It was during their walk to the mall when Denki tapped on Hanta's shoulder to point something out. Hanta then caught the two other's attention to see what they were witnessing, and whilst making an extra effort to squint, Eijirou had nearly doubted his own eyes.

Yet there was no need for such a fallacy.

What they see before them is not an illusion.

"Is that—?"

Katsuki Bakugou.

"Is he with—?"

A girl.

"My god."

Unless they truly are hallucinating, Katsuki Bakugou is indeed with a girl. The two of them are sitting at a table in the middle of a crowded lot at a café, creating a sort of camouflage among them. It was by pure chance that Denki even saw them. The girl looks no older than the rest of them, her hair a cute auburn. A pink shirt with a jean jacket. Black leggings with jean shorts on top. Designer boots.

...Who is she!?

She has a blue cup in hand and her phone in the other. The four of them watch her mouth go off as she talks to her guest across the table. Katsuki, dressed in clothes none of the four have seen before, occasionally peers up at her as he scrolls through his own phone.

Mina Ashido covers her mouth and releases an audible sob.

Eijirou turns to her, "Ashido? What's wrong?"

"She's so cute..."

A crowd of people block their sight as they walk by. Denki suggests they get closer, and carefully do the four of them split up in different directions, using all their power to not get spotted by the blonde. Connected via text, Mina reports the status at her angle, positioned to Katsuki's back and the girl's front.

Pinky: MASSIVE

Pinky: SHES MASSIVE

Hanta, positioned at the exact opposite, types—

Cellophane: Bakugou just keeps letting her talk. He hasn't said anything.

Denki had actually entered the establishment, watching the two from the window.

Chargebolt: Whats happening?

Eijirou, with his bright red hair, tries to be as sneaky as possible, hiding himself near Mina to avoid being in Katsuki's point of view. All four of them sit and watch, some trying to listen in on what the girl is saying, some being afraid of being seen, and the rest simply trying to comprehend the entire situation. Only one question rings throughout their heads:

Who in god's name is that and why is she with Bakugou?

Denki notices Katsuki taking cautionary glances toward the street and the building. Swiftly he warns the others to avoid getting caught. Mina focuses her attention more on the mystery girl, trying to depict her words by reading her lips. Yet she speaks so fast it is nearly impossible to translate.

Red Riot: Anything?

Chargebolt: I cant see

Pinky: I'm trynna get a better angle

Red Riot: And?

Pinky: TINY

Pinky: SHES TINY

Cellophane: What?

Pinky: HER WAIST IS TINY

Chargebolt: I CANT SEE

Red Riot: You get her name?

Cellophane: Wish we brought Jirou

In the middle of their report they are startled by the abrupt laughter of the mystery girl. Throwing her head back and smacking the table, she covers her mouth to fruitlessly stifle her barks. Katsuki sets his phone down, makes two thumbs up, and mimics the idiotic behavior performed by Denki Kaminari.

The mystery girl just simply cannot stop laughing.

...

... Cellophane: It'll be okay, Kaminari.

Denki's mini meltdown doesn't last long before they all see Katsuki and the mystery girl pay the waitress and rise from their seats. They scatter like rats and take cover behind lamp poles and shrubbery, Eijirou playing it safe and ducking behind a wall.

Red Riot: Guys

Red Riot: Do you think maybe they're dating?

Cellophane: Nope

Chargebolt: Not a chance

Red Riot: You guys are cold…

Pinky: Kirishima, you may be on to something

Red Riot: I am?

Cellophane: Can we just talk in person?

Grouping up with Eijirou, Hanta takes another look to scope out Katsuki and the girl. Mina quickly rushes in with an excited look on her face, "Listen, Kirishima's on to something here!"

Denki replies, "What, that they're dating? That's not even plausible."

"Guys, look; a girl knows when some chemistry is rising through the vent, and no one is better at seeing through it than me."

"What are you, a smoke detector?"

"Just listen!" Mina whines. "I had a good look at that girl's face. I was able to get a little of what she was saying through lip-reading. Words didn't matter when it came to her facial expressions, and by process of elimination...I have come to the conclusion that, yes, they do indeed have their fingers tied with the string of fate!"

Hanta seems interested, "Really? What was she saying?"

"Like I said; words didn't matter!"

"S-so you aren't able to read lips…"

"But I could tell, I could tell!"

The three boys brush off Mina's little fantasy and keep their eyes peeled for Katsuki. Eijirou suggests they head back and ask Katsuki about it later, to which Denki retorts about just how quickly that ship will sink. Mina proposes they continue following them to find out her name and much more. The three argue about what to do next, that is until Hanta stops them and says—

"Couldn't we just check the handbook in this place?"

...

Eijirou asks, "There's a handbook here?"

"Yeah. This is one of those places where they let you sign your name so you can get a discount the next time you come."

...

...

"Table for four?"

They had entered the lot.

It wasn't a bad place. The walls are a mint green and the tile floor is immaculate. Custards and pastries are set on display behind the counter, and off to the right archway is misinterpretable chatter from people.

"No," Hanta says, a little stunned by the fancy decor, "we just want to look at the handbook, please." Denki, Eijirou, and Mina crowd behind him.

The lady stares for a moment and blinks. "The handbook? Are you looking to join our discount membership?"

Hanta copies her. "Membership?"

"Yes...we recently changed our policy so that discounts would be given through membership only. Those who have already purchased the discounts automatically get membership."

In other words, one would have to often come here with their paid membership, the proof being there in the handbook.

It's miraculously too complicated for Denki to understand.

"Are you looking to join our membership?"

"Uh," Hanta says, stummered, "no, no, sorry. We just need to look at the handbook. Ma'am." The last word was added by hopeless politeness.

She eyes the four of them suspiciously. Taking a secondary glance, she slowly reaches below her podium and pulls out a large notebook, names are jotted down with different handwriting on each line and the date scribbled on the next. Near the bottom are rows left empty for the next few that decide to pay for said membership.

The four gather around the oversized article and peer at the last few names, some doubting Katsuki's name would even be there.

How woefully wrong they were.

There at the second-to-last line of written names, with incredulous spruce, is the kanji for Katsuki Bakugou's name.

爆豪 勝己

Hanta, Mina, and Eijirou marvel at their find whilst Denki has trouble sounding out the ridiculous letters put together.

"Look," says Mina, pointing to the name below Katsuki's.

In pretty and cute hiragana, obviously written by a girl, is the name for someone who sound as if they know each fashion magazine from A to Z.

うつしみ けみぃ

Utsushimi Camie

Who?!

Eijirou gets the lady's attention, "Miss, do you know if these last two were together or separate?"

She peers over to see the written names and looks to the ceiling in thought. The group swallows in anticipation, waiting for the truth until finally, she has a look that says she remembered something.

"Bakugou-san and Utsushimi-san came together, yes. They both agreed to the membership."

Never before did she ever thought she would witness the human equivalent to a frozen monitor.

All four of them freeze like a buffering video with their mouths agape, as if someone had flicked the 'pause' button. The blonde one suddenly jitters with electricity and short circuits right there. He looks as if an explosion went off in his brain, stupidly drooling and making idiotic noises she can't comprehend. He thrusts out two thumbs up.

"I-Is your friend okay…?" she nervously asks the responsible black-haired boy. He does not respond, rather looking like a mannequin in response. The other boy and girl behind him are staring at the handbook in awe. Denki bangs his head off the nearby wall.

Katsuki Bakugou arrived here with a girl named Camie Ustushimi and paid for membership. Meaning they both had discounts, no matter who paid the bill.

The lady looks among them in a frenzy, "Is something the matter?"

Katsuki never shouted or glared at her. Camie laughed at his jokes and seemed to enjoy talking with him. He was wearing something they had never seen before.

"A-Are you looking to stay with us today…?"

They had chosen this place specifically. Katsuki has kept a wary eye out for anyone who might recognize him in such a setting. He went as far as to ridicule his classmate to make her laugh. Camie looked as if she was a model herself.

"Hello?..." she prods at Mina.

Kirishima, you may be on to something!

I am?

Only one single thought cycles through their heads.

There is only explanation for all of this.

This puzzle is not impossible.

All the pieces are right in front of them.

Katsuki Bakugou—

—is dating Camie Utsushimi.

Hanta, Eijirou, and Mina comically drop their jaws simultaneously.

"Wow."

"He actually did it!"

"No! Way!"

In the back, there is a clatter. "Yayy…!"
