Bloodshot blue eyes outlined by dark circles shine in the glow of the computer screen. Pale hands tremble with exhaustion as Alec types away at his computer. It's past two in the morning, but sleeping seems pointless now.

Finished with his work, Alec leans back in his desk chair. With a sigh, Alec runs his hands through his messy black hair and stretches his arms above his head in a catlike manner.

Leaning forward again, Alec gives everything one last look over, making some last minute changes.

Satisfied, he saves his work and hits print. With his task complete, all there's left to do is get it over with.

After shutting the computer down, Alec grabs the note and folds it neatly, setting it on his nightstand.

Standing up, Alec slips out of his bedroom and tip toes down the narrow hallway to the bathroom. Alec takes out a bottle of pills, pours a hand full into his palm, and returns to his room. He eases the door shut without a sound. He downs the pills in one go and collapses on his bed. Before long, dizziness begins to set in. Alec closes his eyes, savoring the sensation of weightlessness as his senses faded.

The sounds of traffic brought him back to wakefulness.

Wait, traffic?

Blue eyes slowly fluttered open, blinking to adjust to the brightness of passing headlights. Underneath him, Alec feels concrete. He's on his back with his head tilted towards the entrance to what appears to be an alley. Around him, trash cans line the parallel brick walls.

Footsteps draw Alec's attention to the opposite direction. Black boots are in Alec's line of vision. Looking up, the boots are being worn by a silhouette in the dim lighting from passing cars.

Walking up to Alec, the figure kneels down and scoops him up in their arms, surprisingly strong despite their lanky build. Still in a daze, it doesn't register in Alec's mind that he's being essentially abducted. The last thing Alec sees is him and his captor heading to a black car before his world goes black once again.
