[Note: I did not write the italicized parts. These are the original lyrics to Everybody's Talkin' by Fred Neil, popularized by Harry Nillson in the late 1960s.]

The music video begins with Logan, Charles, and Caliban together at their hideout. There's a tension, but nothing really going on. Charles is sitting upright in his wheelchair and Logan is addressing him inaudibly through this part.

As the lyrics start, the camera pans to Charles, who looks confused and distressed.

Everybody's talkin' at me / I don't hear a word they're sayin' / Only the echoes of my mind

At "echoes" we pull to Charles's face in a close-up. His expression darkens and grows in intensity.

Caliban suddenly looks alert, as if aware of something about to happen. Nobody else notices. Next we pan to Logan, glowering as the song continues.

People stoppin', starin' / I can't see their faces / Only the shadows of their eyes

Logan hears someone at the door and moves to answer.

He opens the door to an official-looking and vaguely menacing man in a suit. The menace reaches its peak at "shadows of their eyes."

I'm going where the sun keeps shinin' / Through the pouring rain / Going where the weather suits my clothes

As the mood of the music lightens, it becomes clear that the man at the door is not a government agent, but a limo driver. Logan and Caliban run to pick up luggage.

They coax and bring Charles along in his wheelchair. The limo is a shiny new van with a wheelchair lift and Charles boards the vehicle in style, looking addled yet dignified.

For the rest of the chorus, we watch from the van, driving along sunny streets with a clear horizon ahead.

Banking off of the northeast winds / Sailing on a summer breeze / And skipping over the ocean like a stone

The car pulls into a harbor. Their attention shifts to a luxury yacht with a prominent Sunseeker logo visible. They admire the yacht from the dock as the music continues.

Wohm, wohm, wohm, wohm / Wohm, wohm, wohm, wohm, wohm / Wohm

The scene cuts to the three on the deck of the yacht, Charles now seated in a deck chair.

I'm going where the sun keeps shinin' / Through the pouring rain / Going where the weather suits my clothes

Logan and Charles are wearing shorts and tropical shirts, as if dressed for a cruise.

At "clothes" we pan to Caliban, decked out for maximum sun protection with a broad-brimmed hat and zinc oxide sunblock. He is scowling but seems to appreciate the irony.

Banking off of the northeast winds / Sailing on a summer breeze / And skipping over the ocean like a stone

Logan and Caliban ready the yacht to leave the harbor. They look relaxed and full of anticipation. They're talking to each other inaudibly. We pan back to Charles, watching from his chair.

Everybody's talkin' at me / Can't hear a word they're sayin' / Only the echoes of my mind

Charles looks confused but unlike the opening scene, he's at peace as he stares out at the horizon.

The Sunseeker sails off into open sea as the song draws to a close.

I won't let you leave my love behind / No I won't let you leave / Wohm, wha, ah / I won't let you leave my love behind / I won't let you leave
