The best kind of freedom

He was now the man, who had gained the most freedom of the world. He could do anything, could go anywhere and say anything. No one would ask him why, no one would try to stop him. He had now what he had always wanted the most.

Sitting on the lions head, he couldn't think of anything other than being free and that was why the front of the vehicles he travelled with were always his favorite spot. If he blended everything around him out he could imagine that he was a bird, flying out on the sea and around the world.

But somehow it felt different after he became Pirate King. There was something that bothered him deeply when he sat there. It didn't give him the thrill anymore. Now it was just sitting on the front, watching the sea and the birds, feeling the wind blow through his clothes and on his skin. Somehow it wasn't special anymore.

The Pirate King sighed as he turned around and shot his arm to the fore mast. He flew through the air and landed on the ground.

As he sat down on the wooden floor, he leaned his back on the mast and crossed his arms against his chest. His black eyes swiped through the deck. His crew was doing the same as always.

His first man snorted.

His best friend told stories to his ship's doctor whose eyes were shining.

His ship's chef served their archeoligst a cocktail, who was taking care of her flowers.

His navigator sun bathed in her bikini, reading the newspaper.

His musician played lazily on his guitar.

His helmsman stood in front of the helm, watching the sea with his sunglasses on.

His shipwright handicrafted some odd looking things, cola were around him everywhere on the lawn deck.

This was so boring and yet the Pirate King had to smile. His heart grew warm at the sight and voices of his nakama doing stuff they always did.

Yes, he was free.

But what kind of worth had his freedom, if he weren't able to have it with his family?

And then and there he decided that from now on this would be his favorite spot. He could watch from there everything he wanted in his life.

The sea, the birds and his family.

Yeah...

This freedom was the best kind of freedom.
