Chapter 1
A/N:
The story takes place in the summer at the beginning of Eclipse and at the beginning of season six of TVD after Stefan leaves because of his brother's death. For clarification, this fanfiction is based on the tv series for TVD and the books for Twilight. It mostly revolves around the vampire diaries characters and it is only in Bella's point of view for the first couple of chapters.
When I got home from work, Charlie was waiting for me with an envelope in his hands. It had been a busy day, Mike wouldn't stop talking my ear off about his theories on the murders in Seattle. He suspected that it was either the start of a zombie apocalypse or a bunch of rogue bears.
"What's that, Char-dad?" I asked. I racked my brain for ways I could be in trouble.
"Don't look so worried, Bells," he said. I relaxed at the doorway. He handed me the envelope and I carefully tore it open, two tickets falling into my hand when I shook it. "The fair is this weekend and I thought that you might want to go."
"Thank you so much!" I beamed. It sounded like a lot of fun, especially since I don't really get out much. Edward and I can go on rides, play games, and eat cotton candy, well, I can eat cotton candy.
"I know what you're thinking, and I'd rather you went with one of your friends."
"What about Edward?" I complained. I didn't have that many friends I could go with other than him anyways. It still really bothered me how much he seemed to hate him.
"I know, Bella. But you spend all of your time with him, Bring Angela along, the two of you haven't hung out much recently and I know you'd have fun. Besides, I'll be gone all weekend so the two of you can have a sleepover."
I reluctantly agreed and headed upstairs. When I got to my room I flung myself onto my warm, soft bed.
Except it wasn't either of those. I opened my mouth to scream but a cold hand covered it. "Calm down, Bella. How did you not notice I was here?" Edward asked, setting me down next to him and picking up the book he'd been reading.
"You're early and I have my room memorized. I don't check for people in my bed before I jump in," I said, waiting for my heart to slow down.
"Fair point," he said, laughing. "I'm here because Alice said that Charlie was going to force you to go to the fair with Angela Weber."
I shrugged. "I'd rather go with you but Angela's really not that bad." I rested my head on his shoulder to read his book with him.
"Alice had a vision of you falling off of a sidewalk so I bought a ticket too. It's still technically following what Charlie said, I'll just tag along with the two of you," he explained.

I set down the curling iron when I heard the doorbell ring. I rushed down the stairs and opened the door to see Angela. It had been a long time since I saw her outside of school and I just now realized that her hair had grown longer.
"Hey, Bella. Thank you so much for inviting me," she said while setting down her bag. She looked up and me and started laughing. "Love the hair."
I blushed as I remembered that I hadn't finished curling my hair. Half of it was in giant curls while the other was flat. "I was trying out something different. I'll finish it, don't worry." We walked to the living room and I sat down next to her and helped her unroll her sleeping bag.
"You know what would look perfect with those curls?" Angela asked. "This eyeliner I bought a couple of weeks ago. I can't really pull off dark eyeliner but it would totally work on you." She fished around in her bag and pulled out a little black bottle. Usually, I would refuse but I decided to let her have her fun since I hadn't really spent any time with her since I started dating Edward.
A few accidental eye-stabbings and redos later, Angela, a pretty terrible makeup artist I must say, stepped back and smiled, admiring her work. "How do I look?" I ask.
"You look so different. Really pretty, but different." Angela said. "Kind of intimidating, actually. Like you could rip someone's head off."
"I'll take that as a compliment. Do you have a mirror? I want to see." I asked.
"I think I left mine at home," she said while looking through her bag. "Let's go to your bathroom and you can see there." I nodded. When I saw my reflection, I was shocked. Angela was right; I look beautiful but scary at the same time. Other than the badly done curls.
"Hey Tyler," I said while crossing my arms and tilting my head to the side. "I saw that you knew what Jessica's name was when I'm the only girl you're supposed to know!" I pouted, proud of my pretty solid Lauren impression.
Angela laughed. "You do look a lot like her other than your un-blondeness. Way better, obviously, but the curls and eyeliner are perfect." she said. I was starting to feel bad about not seeing her, she was actually pretty fun. "Do the weird flirty thing."
I put my hand on my hip and bit my lip. I leaned over onto the counter. "Don't I look- OW!" My hand landed directly on the still hot curling iron. I leaped back clutching my wrist but I could already see the blisters forming on my red palm.
"Bella! Are you alright?" Angela shouted, running to my side and inspecting my burnt hand.
"Yeah, thanks. Not the first time I've done that and definitely not the last" I mumbled, flinching while I ran it under the sink. "I'll just wrap it and it should be fine." Angela looked at me concerned and shuffled through the cabinet to find a bandage.
After cleaning up in the bathroom, Angela and I got into our PJs and watched Buffy, which really cracked me up now, for a couple of hours until we were exhausted and climbed into our sleeping bags. About ten minutes after we turned off the lights, the doorbell rang.
"Who could that be? It's-" Angela sat up and glanced at her phone. "12:39."
"Well, can you answer the door? I'm way too tired for this." I murmured, face down on a pillow. Angela got up and carefully opened the door.
I heard a high pitched woman's voice from the doorway. "Sorry to be bothering you when it's so late," she said in a voice filled with urgency. "But have you seen this guy before?" Angela, upon seeing whatever she showed her motioned for me to come to the door. I walked over to the door and saw the visitor; a blonde girl who was probably in her late teens. Angela was staring at the picture. Right as I made eye contact with the girl, she gasped and disappeared in a blur; something only a vampire could do.
"Yeah, I do know who this is. Why do you-" Angela looked up from the picture to see that no one was there and turned around to me. "Wait, what just happened?" I shrugged, not knowing either.
Surely Alice must have seen her in a vision. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to warn the Cullens that the threat was in town but was interrupted by Angela. "Bella, look." she gestured to the stranger's picture she had left. There was a couple standing at what looked like a dance. "That's Edward." She pointed to the man in the suit. "And that's you." And there I was. In a dress I'd never worn.
In broad daylight.
Please review! I rewrote this chapter by the way. The original kept changing tense and it was pretty bad compared to later chapters so the beginning is completely different.
