Hi everyone! So, here it is, the sequel to my story Blind. It does need to be read to understand what's happening, just to let you know. This story was also originally posted under Jayeliwood a decade ago in 2009.

The story has been edited for grammar and flow but none of the major plot points have been changed.

As always, tis not perfect. If you see a mistake please let me know nicely, precisely, or not at all. I am only human and am doing this on my own. Your kindness is appreciated in advance.

Also, Thank you to everyone who read Blind and decided to read this as well. I hope you continue to enjoy my work.

Anyway, onward to fluffy romance!

Prologue-

Edward

So, if you told me two years before that I would be a married man who could see and was a father I would have told you that you needed heavy medication. My life had been a rollercoaster since the day I met my Isabella. She's changed my life in so many good ways. I don't even know how to describe all that she had done. She has been my lover, my best friend, my wife, my teacher, and so many other things. She was my everything.

So, even as she sat there, red-faced and exhausted, she was beautiful. I couldn't imagine my life without her. She told me once that she wouldn't be my reason or my excuse. I couldn't be more grateful for that.

"Hi there, lovely little one," I cooed at the tiny bundle in my arms. Bella's brown hair and my green eyes peeked out at me. Full beautiful lips and chubby little cheeks, too. I saw the best of both of us in the swaddling cloth. Our baby. Our beautiful healthy baby.

The child stretched, it's tiny nose scrunching as it yawned. Our tiny little gift. I had never seen anything cuter in my life. I sat beside my wife on the hospital bed and laid my head on her shoulder.

"Hi there, Daddy," Bella said sleepily. She had worked so hard, she must have been so tired. I was tired and I didn't do nearly as much work as her. I don't think she had ever worked harder in her life.

"Hey, Mommy. How are we feeling?" I asked, bouncing the tiny bundle in my arms. My voice was barely above a whisper.

"Sore," she admitted.

I turned to look at her fully. I carefully shifted and smoothed a piece of hair behind her ear. She smiled up at me, her beautiful brown eyes sparkling with unshed tears. I tried to smile reassuringly before leaning over to kiss her forehead.

The door cracked open slightly and I saw my father's head pop in. "May we come in?"

"Of course you can, Grandpa," Bella teased weakly with a smile. I could already tell that we weren't going to have visitors for very long.

I watched as our parents filed in. Renee who usually had a hard expression was beaming. She tugged Charlie and Phil behind her like she was an eager child. She came over to me, smiling a bit sheepishly when she caught my eye.

"May I?" She asked, her hands outstretched as she asked for the bundle I was protectively holding.

I didn't answer as I carefully slid the baby into her arms. She cooed and bounced the child happily. As soon as Renee was out of the way, my mother hugged me tightly.

"I told you that you two would make pretty babies," she teased, her voice watery. I could see the pride in her every feature.

Bella

Even though my stitches pulled and my whole body ached I couldn't have been happier. Watching Edward with our child was so... incredible. His eyes glittered with joy, his smile so gentle and warm as he walked around slowly with the tiny creature in his arms. A little small, but otherwise perfect, the doctor said.

It was so nice to be around my family and I was so glad that they were already down there. I don't know how Edward could have handled all the stress of my labor along with the anxiety-inducing chore of calling our families and explaining what happened to them as well. But, everything and everyone was fine and that's all that mattered.

I yawned quietly as I watched my mother with her new grandchild. I think if anything could melt her icy heart it would be my child. Mine and Edward's baby. Renee was even smiling at Edward and was polite to him on purpose. They were tiny steps but steps none the less.

"Okay grandparents, it's time to let Mommy get to bed. It's been an extremely long day," Edward said quietly as he took the tiny sleeping babe and placed the bundle in one of those plastic bassinets.

Charlie came over first and gave me a small kiss on the top of my head.

"You did real good, kid."

"Thanks," I muttered with a small smile. I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open.

"Get some sleep and we'll be back in the morning, dear," Esme said with a gentle hug that I weakly returned. Every part of my body was sore.

"Call us if you need anything, you understand me?" Carlisle said firmly before giving me a crooked grin that could rival his son's. They were both so handsome. I could so their perfect features already on our child's sweet little face.

"Yes sir, Dr. Cullen," I teased happily.

When they finally all left, after too many hugs and kisses, Edward settled back into bed beside me. It's exactly where I wanted him. I laid my head on his chest, trying to get at least a little comfortable.

"Can you believe the day we had?" I asked a bit wryly.

"Can you believe the last two years we've had?" He chuckled and kissed my neck lightly. I couldn't imagine how he wanted to. I was sticky with my own old sweat. Edward didn't seem to care.

"No. It's flown by," I said as I ran my finger over his wedding band. "By the way, I'm never letting you have sex with me again," I teased lightly.

"Oh really?" He raised his eyebrow and gave me a little naughty grin. "You say that now..."

"Okay, maybe not ever again but I don't see you getting any in the near future," I laughed, laying my head against the pillow. "As cute as they are, birthing babies is an amazing form of birth control. Not that we'll have time anyway."

"Hm, I have a strong feeling that I'm still going to find time to show you how much I love and worship you every inch of you." He took my hand and carefully turned my palm up. Edward kissed it lightly, nuzzling it gently, sending a wave of happiness through my already overloaded system.

The tears began to flow heavily down my cheeks, surprising even me. They came out of nowhere.

"I'm a mommy," I cried, covering my mouth.

Edward laughed which annoyed me until I realized that he was crying too. He took my face in his large warm hands and kissed my lips passionately, our tears mixing together on our cheeks.

"I hope you didn't just now realize that. You're the most beautiful mommy I've ever seen, by the way."

"You're only a little biased," I sighed, my whole being filled with joy and light.

"I'm not biased at all. I just happen to cherish natural beauty when I see it. And right now, I'm absolutely surrounded by it."

So, it has begun! Who's looking forward to the rest of the story?!
