The air was dry and unpleasant, getting denser and heavier, like a cheap goo for toddlers as both of them became with each step closer to their (?) desired destination, even when it was Ichigo's wish to go here... SCP 3845 felt uneasy with the situation, he followed Ichigo all the way to section A of the storage area. Yet, he suspected that this journey would be more enjoyable.

The walls, as they walked cracked, Ichigo was leaving deep steps in the ground, as if the floor was snow for him. The lights, that were by some way still functioning until both of them walked under them blinked and flickered in the distance before shutting down and breaking, only to still function partially after they make their way forward and create some distance.

Ichigo couldn't understand where this came from, but he had nothing to do with it, he was controlling himself, weirdly enough he knew that and felt stable. The only explanation he got, was that the closer he got, the more the tension between him and Zangetsu to reconnect got stronger. Resulting in never seen before by him phenomena that either was natural or it just happened to him being but an error of his powers having contact with the world because of the effects the Hogyoku has bestowed.

Ichigo was on the edge of just punching a way for them, he swore to whatever Kami there is, that he was close to losing it. Section A was a big area, with numerous turns and gates, constantly showing a way to some different types of subsection with other different types of equipment.

Regals as big as the ones at the military base, numerous lockers, and rooms that opened by the click of a button leading to entire storages, some made only to hold batteries, thousands of them.

The ongoing flickering and ruination of the area didn't help in any way or shape. Only making it worse to go through the storage section. However, Ichigo had his senses, and he still could well know the way to his Zanpakutou.

They found themselves before stairs which went up, on the left, there was plain way similar to that you can see for bikes, where theres a depression which goes down at an acute angle when there's need to go under a bridge or just head down. They did go up and found themselves before a grand gate. This was one was different from al the other, it looked more futuristic, it had a different vibe to it. It was part white, shining brightly and reflecting the light. The gate seemed to be made from four equilateral triangles.

Ichigo nonetheless did what he was prepared to do, the feeling of Zangetsu was right behind this gate, not to mention it was strong, calling, aching even when he stood before it.

Ichigo took a direct swing at the gate, his hand stopped in the metal, the gate bent in, the paint getting off, little particles firing everywhere around. SCP 3845 had to cover his eyes in order to avoid them getting in his eyes. A great wind swept the SCP away from Ichigo making it slide along the floor creating a horrible screeching sound.

Ichigo retreated his hand, only to see a deep hole in the gate, sparks were flying out of the interior as the gate had inner circuits. Ichigo looked at it with an eyebrow raised. The punch landed well and he did use the necessary force to do it. He felt a small sting from the impact in his fit, but it as nothing serious.

He did the exact same motion, this time adding less strength knowing well the gate has been damaged significantly. Ichigo was somewhat in awe that the facility did have something capable of stopping him for at least a few seconds.

The gate has collapsed and broken into the triangles it was made of. Ichigo has stepped in, gazing inside, looking forward. He saw big cubic containers that were all scattered inside a hall. Metal stairs led up to two stories up. Each metallic container having lights for the corners, and standardized doors with a keycard reader on the right side.

It was almost like a semi-stadion up in there. Ichigo flash stepped on to the first story, walking around between the cubic rooms and searching for his Zanpakuto. Curiosity however was poking at him, begging to see inside one of these. They were strange, and the whole concept was bizarre even for Ichigo. This section had to be special.

Ichigo walked up to one of the cubic storages, he approached the doors and he managed to open them by force, pushing the doors to the side after sinking his fingers slightly into the metallic surface creating himself a point to hold.

Looking inside, the light shined brightly from above from two led lamps, Ichigo has found a whole room that was filled to the teeth with some rocket looking objects, bulky and round with a blue tip. The bottom had a visible port that seemed to be attachable to something about the size of a pruner.

He swept his hand in response to wasting his time with unnecessary crap. He returned back on to the floor, as he felt that Zangetsu was somewhere at the floor level. SCP 3845 who just went up right now had to climb all the way down because of Ichigo.

There they had to walk for a short-lived moment. There was a different entrance, this time without any gate or anything like that. It was a plain path to another room, this one was brighter and less narrow than the one they just were in. Above the entrance the was a text written in bold letters, Ichigo and SCP 3845 have both missed it.

SCP 3845 didn't dare to move any closer to Ichigo, it itself felt threatened by him, he stayed in his place and watched closely what the carrot boy was about to do.

Ichigo looked under at the floor, he was now leaving visible and undeniably deep holes in the ground as they have entered the room. The lights have flickered and some of them broke and burst into hundreds of pieces. Leaving the room dark, with just three barely functioning laps hanging above the glassy looking like structures. They were not like the ones before, these rooms were smaller and the mother room these were in had its roof lower. The objects that laid inside were closed off in these chambers, behind thick layers of glass. Ichigo doubted this was just glass, it must be something more than that, but for the moment he had no other way to describe it.

In the middle container, he saw him...Zangetsu, just like on the photo Katzmnann has shown him. Broken, in pieces, each with a number attached to it, laying on a soft blanket in the light.

Ichigo now felt it directly, he felt more complete, he felt better with each step he made. He felt safer. Ichigo has approached the container, the doors to be more precise which had metallic hinges, and a handle constructed out of a metal long barrel and two shiny metallic parts holding the barrel in one place vertically on the outside and inside. Circuits were running below it, he could see it under the base of the container thanks to the transparency of the material. Yet the circuits weren't visible from the front. A thin grey plate covered them from under the key card reader for aesthetic reasons.

Getting confused about why they have chosen to protect the more valuable objects in the facility by placing it in a big glassy box. Ichigo took a small swing, coming to a stop, when an empty sound echoed through the room he was in, his hand stopped at the wall…

"What the...This isn't glass." He said out loud in genuine surprise.

Ichigo took another, harder swing with his fist lading perfectly on it. Only to get the same effect. The sound the same, this time more mechanic.

"What is this?" He asked himself in disbelief looking at his palm. "I was just kicking open a gate open moments ago."

He looked at the side. Ichigo couldn't use the key card reader on the right side either way, but he had an idea regarding the device.

Since it as somewhat located in this glass, the difference being that other on the interior was on the left, it was also a weak point nonetheless. Just in case, Ichigo not wanting to waste time further, prepared to bash the chamber open by hitting it in its softest place. SCP 3845 has retreated away, perhaps instinct or simple rational thinking.

Ichigo did as he did those all times before, he delivered a straight out punch, this time giving all he had in his arm, landing in the middle of the card reader, annihilating it immediately without any trace of its former self left.

Ichigo impacted with the crystal wall, a loud bang could be heard in the entire hall, the chamber has shaken as if an earthquake just appeared and made it wiggle like jelly. Ichigo saw as the cracks expand slowly but surely, then suddenly the entire front portion of the wall turned all white from the cracking glass, from an angle it looked like it sparkled with the colors of a rainbow. His fist was knocked back, he stumbled a few steps back almost tripping under his own feet from temporal lack of balance.

"Damm!" He looked at his hand, it was red from the impact "What the hell is this made from?!"

He waved his hand for a few more seconds to relieve the ache and returned to deliver a second blow. This time with his determination all focused on breaking through the wall. Ichigo did a flash step and appeared right before the wall, he leaned forward as he proceeded with the motion, with his body weight added to the attack.

The chamber broke, shattered, with large pieces flying away around the room. The chunks landed around, everywhere, it was as if an explosion from the inside has sent them flying similar to that of a grenade sending shrapnels all around. The entrance Ichigo created was nothing more than a portion of it destroyed, the front more and side to the right corner was all gone, the edges were sharp and reflected the barely standing right light as rough as the edges of the glass.

Ichigo once again retreated away and waved his hand as he felt the burning sensation from the hit he laid. It wasn't like any other experience, he hit hard stuff straight with his firsts many times before, but this, this was different. It reminded him of the first time doing pull-ups, learning to enhance his grip. It did burn at first as hell.

Ichigo got the hold of himself, he stepped in, into the inside of the chamber, moving with his leg the bigger shards in his way to make himself a clearer path. Zangetsu's pieces were all in one place, not touched by the glass as if it intentionally has flown over or missed the table.

SCP 3845 perked from the end of the wall, eying Ichigo as he proceeded to approach the shards of his Zanpakuto. It heard something move behind in and looked back. Ichigo continued with his main goal without any need to look behind.

He reached out, reiatsu started to get visible from the amount of it in the area. Ichigo saw as it circled him around and the shards of the part of his soul that was Zangetsu. It shed some light on the surroundings, as it color was white with some minor traces of blue under the particles. It looked as if pieces of white cloth were flowing together with the water but instead it was all around him.

Ichigo saw the building started to shake, he looked at the walls o the hall he was in, they started to crack, the floors were also giving up slowly. The pressure destroyed the light completely leaving him alone in the dark before the Metalic slab on which laid Znagetsu. The clothes he had on, moved in an uninterrupted up and down motion as if he stood on a lonely hill and wind blew against him.

Ichigo called out "Zangetsu," He said firmly but quietly.

'Ichigo...'

Ichigo made two steps forward and founded himself before his sword. He looked at it ad found the handle and he bandage that was rolled around it. He didn't look around, but both he and Zangetsu were almost swallowed by white and blue reiatsu that created a semi tornado.

"Its good to see you back"

Ichigo reached out with his hand, he gently enveloped the handle in a tight grip. Ichigo was swallowed whole by white and blue reiatsu that formed a great pillar of light. It shot upwards, penetrating through the concrete and metallic reinforcements. The surroundings have been completely crushed by the weight of the spiritual pressure. The hall started to collapse and parts of the ceiling gave up, crumbling fast, falling on the floor.

Everything above fell too, like in a chain reaction everything collapsed feeling immense weight. A rubble shower was pouring down. The two glassy chambers next to Ichigo started to crack, each chunk of the facility falling down resulting in it breaking into smaller pieces banging against the crystal-like material it was made from. Eventually snapping and collapsing on themselves only to fall down on the floor beneath.

The alarm was on, but there were no alarm light to show it, numerous pipes broke, with now water flowing out and down from the side walls creating small pools on the floor. A greenish fog started to creep itself around every free centimeter of pure air, coming from somewhere. Probably a defense mechanism that was supposed to turn on when one of the chambers broke, yet Ichigo's presence made it malfunction, it didn't trigger as it should have had.

The reiatsu beam has expanded and swallowed the near area, like a sponge pushing he supporting fundaments and parts apart. It has destroyed the storage areas around section A and B, creating explosions from the weapons and high destructive material stored in section B.

The explosion was held back by the ceiling and the floor above, only to get out eventually by overpowering the falling weight and breaking through the layers that held it away from the surface, spreading like a disease, A great dome of fire formed, lighting the surroundings up, sending a shockwave that was deafening to those who were close.

Everyone who dropped on the floor was moved by it, like a ragdoll, many bumped into each other, other had the luck of hiding behind heavy or unmovable objects. Glass shards has hit a few poor fellows, injuring them severely. The sound was ear raping, as f one took a shovel and started to beat a thin meal plate, while a microphone was nearby picking it up and high volume speakers transmitted the sound louder.

The fire was colorful in places, pink or light shade of grey, similar to that of sulfur when it burns. The storages were right under the chimneys number one and two, the explosion shook the structures and set them on fire. The now impaired two structures were slowly crumbling and breaking further down more, as not entirely did they fall. Half of chimney number two stayed strong but not for long.

The white pillar of light that shot up into the air, its brightness making the outside world look darker in contrast to it. The clouds above circled around the point of a breakthrough as if was sucking the clouds in to make a tornado.

Just a handful of soldiers and scientists saw what it was, their hearts skipped a beat in reaction to the paranormal from their point of view. Wanting to get out as quickly as possible from the Facility's area.

The outside felt the presence the most, the people outside, just a few meters away from safety have choked on their own spit and couldn't grasp the air properly, looking for safety in the sky, some in quick prayer thinking the end just came like that in this one drastic event. Falling down on the ground, collapsing suddenly as if a hundred-kilo weight just pulled them down with a chain. By hitting the floors many hurt themselves, impacting with it hard and quick, often with their head resolving in brain damage, this collided with the lack of air, or more accurately, the lack of possibility to even breathe it, was catastrophic for the health of many, including Emily.

Vehicles that tried to leave, only to found themselves immobile, crushed partially like a beaten up Pepsi can, blocked the way out. The armored cars which stood in their positions have had their elevations broken by he sudden pinning to the ground force, resolving in damage to the gears responsible for fluid movement and proper turning.

Emily Redfield collapsed together with the group that was just about to get evacuated, looking up, with her eyes, she glanced at the transport truck. She breathed heavily, but she had the power to do it, she didn't have have the strength to move. Focusing on the cold air that took her mind away from the inching ache in her chest plate.

Behind her, the light from the explosion set the parts that flew into the air on fire, soon gravity did its task, and took them down, providing the there staff with a lethal sprinkle of burning stones.

Emily saw it coming and she closed her eyes, only covering her head ever so with her hands as he could. Waiting for death, or just pain, if she was unlucky.

Emily only heard as the chunks of feeling down, some of her colleagues gasped in the air or whimpered in pain like a dying animal. She felt something sprinkle over her forehead like it was water. She knew exactly what it was. She didn't look up, but buried her face in the cold concrete…

The rest was history. The beam as swiftly as it appeared, it went away. Bringing off the feeling of heaviness from the chests of the soldiers and evacuating facility personnel that has gathered on the surface and these who sill were in the Facility.

The fire still raged but it was dying out, the giant black cloud made its way all the way up, to the point where anyone could see it miles away and know of the tragedy in the nuclear power plant. A standard move by the foundation was to always block off the internet in the area, so that the heat wouldn't spread further. his way they stop any potential panic and reporters from coming, to keep people from speaking. It wasn't different this time, the hackers from another part of the USA, mainly from one the states around or close to the facility did their job right after getting the message.

The Foundations' soldiers regrouped when they have felt the ability to breathe again after some time, the people who didn't get injured in a serious manner stood up and continued on with the evacuation. Many ran away plain and simple. Seeing the havoc around, the bodies burning because of an unlikely sharp pebble that was on fire smeared with easily flammable substance has hit the poor soul.

The Facility was now under full self lockdown and automatic high-level warning alarms set themselves on, with hundreds of messages about the state of the facility going to the core of the Facility that was the head and brain of it.

When the beam collapsed on Ichigo finally resting, taking it all in, a cloud of smoke made a curtain of shadow and darkness around the shinigami who held his dear friend strongly in his palm. Some of the reiatsu still circled around Ichigo creating some light from the orange-haired boy.

Ichigo breathed in, he stooped as the better taste of smoke and plastic touched his tongue, he opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was his sword. However, he slowly took it closer to inspect it, to have a long not available to him glance at the blade. It was different, or it was just the light. Yet Ichigo could tell, that his Zangetsu has indeed changed, the design and shape were now unusual compared to the one he knew of, when in Shikai that is.

Zangetsu still resembled the well-known khyber knife, yet this time the shape of the handle was more round then raw and rectangular. An earlier version of Zangetsu also, just about when the handle ended and the blade started, didn't have a half-circle cut in. In exchange for a peen, you have in a hammer, here more likely better use would be to call it like a talon sharp spike, as the curve of the blade went from the point backward. The same with the peak of it, having this weird curve that made the white part longer and made the blade shape as if more in a hooked kind of manner. The blade itself seemed more defined and shiny, more lively, and metallic.

Ichigo looked at himself, feeling some warmth finally since he came into the hall. He was now fully dressed in his shinigami attire. However something seemed to be off, it looked more black, his previous attire would be considered bleached compared to the one he was wearing now. He looked at his forehands, he wore some unusual wearables in the form of an X, black and white, black the waste majority of it, while the edges were white.

The red rosary like belt, going from the right shoulder to the left hip became more saturated and the red color was now more eye-catching.

Ichigo moved his head around, feeling something on his neck, he grabbed it with his hand. He couldn't get t to get off. He examined it more closely with his hand. A collar, as if made from plastic was on his neck on both sides, he suspected it to be white and black like the wearables on his hands.

Ichigo realized the destruction he has brought, looking around, he only saw smoke and fire. He remembered that 3845 was together with him. Ichigo quickly used flash steps to search for the SCP, having doubts, about the state and wellness of his companion.

Ichigo laid away the need for mediation in order to fully reconnect with Zangetsu. He had to first get out, but he'll do it only after finding 3845 and helping him in his escape from the facility. That is, if he didn't by accident, in the worst-case scenario...Kill him

Ichigo got this idea out of his head, refusing to even consider it. He called for his friend, trying to sense him, but it was fruitless in the end. Ichigo couldn't see clearly in the cloud of darkness. He got an idea. He swung Zangetsu, the swings he did swept the smoke away in great amounts, together with the boulders that laid on the floor.

Seeing only fire and rubble, Ichigo with Zangetsu managed to get rid of the bigger piles, he swung his sword and immediately the gathered chunks of cement and bricks were moved away. The rubble got cut in the process, as Ichigo's blade went through the material.

Ichigo managed to extinguish the fire with his reiatsu, it was an effective method, the entire section B from where he came from must have been buried, the cubic containers that once were holding very strange objects now were no longer present. The iron stairs that led to each one up were completely destroyed and torn into pieces that were bent in twisted shapes from the explosion.

Ichigo looked for the SCP, under a great pile of burning stone and iron, the shinigami saw something that caught his attention. Ichigo went there right away, he was right! Under the stone there he saw something white, it was the torso of SCP 3845. Ichigo quickly dropped the knee down and started to take the trash from his companion away. In a matter of seconds, Ichigo was finished digging SCP 3845 out of the rubble.

Ichigo then took him slowly and carefully from away from the rubble and nearby fire. He left him laying. Ichigo saw him having a crack over his body, it went all the way up from one to the other end, passing the face. Three small traces of black like liquid came down from the crack in the SCP's body. Ichigo used Flashstep and appeared before the SCP.

"Hey! Are you alright?!" Ichigo called out. Shaking the SCP.

The SCP nodded its head, it tried to get itself up slowly, Ichigo has helped him in its task, slowly supporting him all the way up. The SCP was bleeding, so did Ichigo think to see the black liquid drip ever so slowly down from the crack.

Ichigo looked up, he saw the light shining through the smoke. The fires were still present on the above floors and parts of the facility were still falling down. SCP 3845 sat on a nearby bigger part of the ceiling sitting with its back hunched forward.

"I destroyed this place…" He said out loud,

The whole room was again getting all smokey and dark, Ichigo again swung his sword, the smokes went away, giving passage for some light from the outside to shine through and hit Ichigo in the eyes. The orange-haired boy realized what it was.

Ichigo was somewhat surprised at the scale of destruction his reconnection with Zangetsu caused, however, he expected something like that to happen either way. It was predictable to him as day, that after getting transported...Taking into consideration the change in his abilities, that after losing sight of literally a part of himself, the reaction would be brutal.

This, and also that he made SCP 3845 injured made him feel unsettled. He could have had probably done it differently or avoided the situation completely. Shrugging it off was the only option, he can't undo what happened, but he can fix the damage by helping further in their escape.

Ichigo had to evade a falling iron bar that hit directly the place he just stood in. Ichigo appears next to SCP 3845. Looking at him, he saw hat the SCP was feeling not so well, the injury itself didn't look that bad, although it might just be so looking when in reality it was horror. Ichigo must have had caused the entire facility to malfunction and set itself into some sort of a special modus. Not to mention the SCP under the floors and the personnel who probably fainted or worse.

He did sense a great gathering of petite, almost nonexistent presences above. He went back with his mind to the moment he was transported and meditated for the first time. This facility was huge, and it definitely was automatized. this crowd above must have been the reinforcements he Foundation sent to help. It was a lot.

Ichigo was found of the act that his presence seemed not to be lethal or everyone around him, judging by looking at SCP 3845 ha seemed fine besides the injuries. Ichigo approached the SCP and grabbed him by the shoulder (?)

The staff was panicking, not knowing what to do. They saw him on cameras, they have ordered the troops to march in and do anything to stop him, but they were too late. The Site director ordered an immediate call for all reinforcements that were near the facility, also requesting support from the Canadian forces. However, the effect Ichigo had on the area was too great even for them. The staff felt exhausted and slowly started to collapse to the floor, feeling tired and warm at first, then right before losing it, feeling extreme paralyzing cold.

It all went away eventually, leaving only a something tight in their throats. Only two cameras from the many installed around the facility and worked as could be linked up to the main control room were able to show them what has happened.

The SCP that were stored on beneath floors have been feeling exactly the same way, some less than the other and definitely frightened, wanting to break out, thinking that the threat was coming from the Facility's side, not from another SCP. Many did succeed, some were less fortunate in their tries.

The nuclear reactors panels have shown a tsunami of errors. The facility's staff has no way of reading the messages and way to analyze self-made scans by the software as Ichigo's presence jammed the route to check on the signals by wireless methods.

The site had used the reactors in order to not only power itself up, but also the other settlements in the state of Alabama. The most crucial parts haven't gotten damaged to the point the was a fie or perhaps a risk of explosion. The water system has been cut off, one of the reactors titled to the side. Meaning that not only it didn't have its cooling system anymore, but also that a major error in its base is now risking a potential nuclear disaster if it moved.

Au

Boom! Another chapter!

Remember to leave a review commenting on the chapter, how it was, telling me if it was better or worse than the ones before. I'd like to get better, and to achieve it it is to watch for critics and learn from them.

Id why it took me so long, but a promise kept, the story is on my list to work on until I get back te flow to return to the main one I am almost finished with to later return and finally only work on this one.
