Chapter 1
"I am the spirit you wished to summon. Tell me what you wish for."
"No! Don't do i-"
"You know what I want right?"
The spirit nodded. "Is that really what you wish for? You will be giving up quite a lot."
"It is."
"Very well then."
"No don't!"
"That's what the dream was." Marinette finished speaking.
Master Fu stared at her a bit longer, trying to sort his thoughts out. In all his years as a guardian he had never heard of such a thing. The ladybug and cat miraculouses granting a wish yes, but a spirit of balance coming from them?
"Marinette," The blue haired girl looked at him. "Do you know what the girl in your dream wished for?"
"No...it was like something was interfering. Certain things were blocked out and all I could hear was static." Like the girl's name and who the other person was. Marinette thought.
"I'll investigate this further. For now, focus on your duty as Ladybug."
"Right." Marinette stood up and left.
Wayzz appeared and immediately went over to his miraculous holder as soon as the door closed. "Master, this dream of Marinette's..."
"I know, Wayzz." This doesn't make my job any less easier. If only that girl hadn't been so foolish.
"Do you think that this Chat Noir could be-"
"Felix? No. He still exists in this world." Master Fu answered. "But that does concern me."
"Perhaps it is because she made the wish?" Wayzz suggested.
Master Fu hummed in agreement. "However, the Agrestes only had one son before that wish. Where did Adrien Agreste come from?"
Wayzz said nothing. Now the Kwami was just as confused as his Miraculous holder.
"We'll have to keep a close eye on this."
"Right."
"Hey did you hear? Adrian's older brother is coming to visit! He arrives today!"
Marinette perked up. "Felix?"
"Yeah." Alya raised an eyebrow. "How did you know his name? Adrian's never talked about him."
"He's been on all kinds of magazines." Marinette dug through her backpack and pulled one out.
The cover was black and the person on the front had part of his back to the camera. His arms were crossed and a hand was reaching up for a fedora that was tipped slightly down, covering his left eye. He wore a black coat and black pants with a slanted belt and a gray turtleneck.
"That's him?" Alya asked.
Marinette nodded.
"They look so different. Adrian's always smiling and looks happy. Felix looks..." Alya trailed off trying to think of the words.
"Mysterious?" Marinette suggested.
Alya shook her head. "Melancholic. Like a part of his soul has died."
"Oh." Marinette looked back at the cover. Now that Alya had said it, Felix did look sad. Like he'd lost someone he cared about. Marinette ran her thumb over the hat covering Felix's face, wishing she could lift it up and see his face.
"All right everyone! I hope we're ready for another day of class!" Miss Bustier said. Marinette snapped out of her thoughts and put the magazine back in her bag.
A/N: Congratulations to Miraculous Ladybug winning the 2018 poll I had! Sorry for the poor beginning, I promise I'll make the next chapters better. And I'm also sorry for not posting this sooner. I was supposed to post it either New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, but I was too distracted then one thing led to another and-Anyway, the story's out now and I hope everyone's had a good start to the new year!
