Mei walked into the pub, her crew filing in behind her and filling up the only empty seats. She strolled up the bar and slapped a hand onto the bar "Three rounds of your strongest mead."

Off in the darkest corner of the pub, a cloaked figure sat at a table by himself, watching people come in and out of the bar. Upon seeing Mei walk in, his eyes narrowed and he tucked himself into the corner even more than before. He did not want her to know he was there.

Mei's crew walked up to the bar, grabbed the pints and began spreading them amongst the pub. She did notice him in the corner, though not quite identifying him right away. Instead toasting her the rest of her crew with hardy cheers of "Gan bey!" and "Salude!" and a few of "Prost!"

He watched her silently, on edge. The last time he had seen her, he wasn't particularly happy with what happened, and he didn't wish for her to try bringing up his shame...again.

Of course, his peace wouldn't last. After sharing cheers with several more members of her crew, she noticed him, looked at him for moment, then grinned and waved. She made her way through the crowd over to his table "Hello, Naz."

His eyes narrowed and he crossed his arms. "Mei," he responded curtly, speaking directly to her mind.

Mei raised an eyebrow "Does it get chilly in whatever part of the world you're from? Because your attitude is awfully cold." she said, crossing her arms. She tilted her head to the side and gave him a long once over. Her smile turning softer as she said "You haven't changed much."

"I come from underground, so yes, it is cold," he responded, his voice remaining emotionless and practical.

Mei laughed, and straightened her posture. "Yep. Same old Naz."

He said nothing to that but looked her up and down. "You haven't changed much either. Still an uppity thorn in my side," he replied. "Tell me, are you still a whore?"

Mei's smile vanished and before she could stop herself, chucked the contents of her glass in his face "Yep. Same old Naz." She turned on her heel and walked back to the bar for a refill, the crowd swallowing her up in the process.

He blinked and watched her leave. He sighed and then stood, shaking out his cloak before putting it back on. He weaved his way through the crowd, feeling a stir within him, making him want to feast on the nearest brain. He clenched his fist and hurried out of the pub, trying to fight his instinct.

Mei had gotten involved in a conversation with another female member of her crew when she saw Naz leave. A part of her was still mad at him. How dare he. A whore,it''d been four years since he helped her escape… or tried to, at least. But the nicer part got the best of her and she followed after him "Naz. Naz! Naz A'ul Ghoul, you alright?"

He threw a hand out, clutching his head. "Get back, Mei, unless you me to eat your brain!" he shouted to her. His tentacles writhed and he hissed through them before he turned, his gaze zoning in on something that couldn't be seen by Mei. He then raced off into the darkness.

Mei took a step back as he shouted and then stared after him as he ran away. After a moment, all she could think to say to herself was "The fuck just happened?"

Hey peeps, yes this is a new story. TBH, this one is written with a friend, hence why the language in here is not stuff said in my normal stories.

I write for Naz A'ul Ghoul, and a few others yet to be introduced in the story.

My friend writes for Mei and any of her crew members.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed!
