*Disclaimer: I own nothing*

This is my answer to how Raoul and Buri ended up in bed together. While Buri was charming Raoul's grandmother, what was going on in Raoul's head?

The Poem He'll Never Write

This is the poem Raoul would never write to Buri, so I've written it for him.

Been working on this for a while, hope you enjoy.

You dazzled them all, myself included

She's madly in love, they all concluded

I'll admit, even I was a bit deluded

You'd look up at me, smile just for me

They all thought: what a lucky bastard is he

Did you check if my aunts could see?

I was ever aware of you hand on my sleeve

I have never seen my mother look so pleased

And when we stopped to take our leave

I have never been so easily excused

I tried to help you into the coach, you laughingly refused

I did not want you to feel misused

I leaned forward and thanked you over and again

You told me I sounded like a clucking hen

And you kissed me, out of sight of the coachmen

When you pulled away, I must have looked like a fish

"You'll catch flies" you mocked, with a playful grin

At your bodice's collar, your finger traced your skin

Sending my already struggling mind into a tailspin

My mind filled with images of my own creation

But in my silence, you heard hesitation

"Before we're killed in service to our great nation,

Horselords, just have some fun." Your voice held a dare

"It's just sex" Your words seemed to declare

Reality crashed back in, catching me unaware

You wanted to keep it casual, I did not resist

But I put my everything into the next kiss

And one day, I'll tell you I love you in a way you can't miss

It's taken me awhile to write this *cough* years, hope you enjoyed it. Please review
