Requested by Hiccup the Demigod, this is a sequel to my story Valhalla. You don't HAVE to read the other one but it'd be great if you did!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything HTTYD-related or anything Rick Riordan-related.

Hiccup had led a pretty good life. He married Astrid, the love of his life. Had children. Grandchildren even. And the Island of Berk had been peaceful for many years. His wonderful dragon, Toothless, stood by his side through it all.

Being Chief had been great. But it would have been better if his father was there. Sure, he had his mother whom he loved. It just wasn't the same. In the end, however, it didn't matter.

No one could deny that Hiccup Haddock the Third was a great hero. A warrior whose name would be remembered for centuries to come. The first Viking to train dragons and live in harmony with the fire-breathing creatures.

Astrid cried as his time came until Hiccup reminded her that he'd be waiting in Valhalla for her. That helped ease the pain if only a little.

Hiccup wasn't sad though. He knew exactly what was waiting for him. Or rather, who.

Stoick stretched his arms as he sat up in bed. He had gotten into a familiar routine over the years. Wake up, get some breakfast, go to the battlefield, maybe get killed again while avoiding the lindworms. He knew if he killed one, Hiccup would never forgive him once he made it to Valhalla. After he "woke up" from dying, he'd talk to Helgi like usual.

The manager wasn't the best company, but it meant that Hunding could get a little break from being bossed around. Of course, Gobber and Valka were the people he loved to talk to. His beloved wife had shown up in his room a few years back, right before Gobber appeared in the room across from theirs.

The memories of him being reunited with his wife (again) and his best friend were something that nearly brought the old Chief to tears. Nearly.

"Oi! Stoick! You better get down to the battlefield! There's something you'll wanna see."

Stoick looked up to see Gobber standing in his doorway. Before he could ask what was going on, the old Viking had run off. Muttering a curse under his breath, he quickly followed suit.

What he saw made his heart soar and a smile grace his face. His son, Hiccup, was on the battlefield surrounded by lindworms. Who were not attacking him, but instead were lounging on his lap, over his shoulder, or as close as they could get. The other einherjar had stopped fighting and were just standing in amazement at the sight.

Hiccup looked up just then and saw Stoick. He leaped to his feet or tried to before the lindworms dragged him back down.

"That's my boy!" Stoick exclaimed before laughing. It took half an hour, but eventually, Hiccup managed to stand up and hug the father he had lost all those years ago.

It had definitely been worth the wait.

AN: Thank you for reading! Hope you guys enjoyed. I know Magnus Chase wasn't really in this but I did try to incorporate some things into the story. Leave a review if you're looking forward to How to Train Your Dragon 3 as much as I am!

Kitkat Out!
