Mr and Mrs Tony Nelson were at a party given by Gen. Peters. It was held at his mansion in his backyard. It was a large, spacious backyard, and it featured a swimming pool.
Jeannie was with Amanda Bellows. Tony was at the buffet checking out the food.
A girl walked up to him. "Excuse me, are you Major Anthony Nelson, the astronaut?"
"Yes, Ma'am."
"Oh, wow! I've always wanted to meet an astronaut! I'm Ellen McDanials."
"Pleased to meet you, Miss McDanials." They shook hands.
"What's it like, being in space?"
"Awesome! It was the experience of a lifetime!"
They talked for about five minutes.
Unfortunately, Jeannie saw them! "Ooh!," she said, and she folded her arms and blinked.
Tony found himself walking. "Er, excuse me, Miss McDanials!," he said to her.
He walked over to the swimming pool—and into the water!
People walked over to him, including Ellen. "Why did you just get into the pool with all your clothes on?," she asked.
"Er. . . it's a tradition!"
"A tradition?"
"Yes. Er. . . when you're having a really great time at a party, you show it by jumping into the pool—that is, if there's a pool!"
"Well, in that case,. . ."
She kicked her shoes off and jumped into the water with him!
"This IS fun!"
Others also jumped into the pool with their clothes on. Eventually, about half the attendees were in the water!
Tony swam to the side. "Jeannie!"
She walked over to him.
"I was simply talking with that girl. She wanted a signed photo of me!"
"Oh, Master, I am sorry!"
"Jeannie, I love you, but you've got to do something about your jealousy!"
"Yes, Master, you are right."
"Now, come closer to me."
She did this. He grabbed her and pushed her into the water with him!
"Master!"
"Now, we're even!"
They hugged and kissed. The others cheered.
Dr. Bellows walked to the side of the pool.
"Major Nelson, somehow, I have the feeling you were the one who started all this!"
He laughed nervously. "Uh, well-"
"-Never mind!"
He jumped into the water and swam next to his wife, who was already in the pool!
