Splat!

Bakugou stood in front of another body. His Same green moppy hair and the same blood splatters. His hand was outstretched, but he didn't even bother saying anything. The crushing weight prevented him as he stared at Deku's face again.

"Why? WHY IS STILL HAPPENING!" The body erupted in flames. Orange light danced on his face as the ashes were left behind. "No more. I DON'T WANT SEE ANYMORE GOD-"

"DAMNIT!" He shot out of bed, sweating heavily. His room smelt more and more like burnt sugar.

"KATSUKI, IT'S TOO EARLY FOR THIS! COME DOWN AND HELP ME MAKE BREAKFAST!" Mitsuki yelled from downstairs.

Bakugou clenched his fists and the sparks burned like normal. He didn't notice the lingering orange licking his wrists before he got up.

In the distance, Izuku tied his shoes as Inko was putting away dishes. "Izuku, are you sure you're well enough to go to school? I'm sure you can take one more day off."

Izuku adjusted his sleeves to cover more of his scars, but turned to his mother. The conversation was filled with tears of worry, lots of affirmation, and the family going to bed late at night. However that doesn't stop the current grind of a hero in training. Waking up early, Izuku needed to attend his class representative duties.

"It's okay, Mom." He put on a cheerful smile. Approaching her, he showed off his calm demeanor. "Besides today's a really important day for me and my classmates. Can't miss out on this."

"But Izuku you were-"

"It's fine mom. I've had worse."

"That doesn't really comfort me." Inko said. Izuku held her hands and gave her one last look. She sighed and pulled him in for a hug. "Just keep an eye out and be very careful!"

"I will, Mom." He said as he opened the door and jumped down. They wave one last time before he turns the corner. The gray clouds above him slightly darken as he runs further and further from his home. The smile on his face slowly drops as the presence of his mother dissipates.

The brisk run slowly turns into a walk as Izuku reaches into his pocket for his train pass. No car rides today. Hopping onto the right train, Izuku looked around at the other people around him.

A quirk nerd, Izuku always made time to notice what sort of appearances and quirks he can guess if he wasn't looking at hero reports.

Ding!

The boy pulls out his phone and sees a text from Mineta. A question mark appears over his head at the message.

-Hey Midoriya, check it out! There was a popularity poll done on us from the Sports Festival!-

Curious, Izuku pulled out his headphones. The video loaded up and two women were hosting.

"Oh My Gosh! This year's Sports Festival was truly an explosive one, Glimmer!"

"You're telling me. It's exciting to see how this new generation of students are going Plus Ultra! Something tells me that with All Might being there, the teachings have gotten better!"

This was getting really cheesy, but he did have powerful classmates and the other classes were no slouches earlier.

"However I think one of the biggest things to happen was our teenage crowd popularity polls. Of course we have a lot of the first year beauties ranked from our audience."

The hosts showed a poll with numerous pictures of his classmates. A bunch of girls from his class and class 1-B were shown though he felt as if one was missing. Izuku saw numerous votes for Momo and Ochako especially. He felt his lips slightly curl up as he saw clips of their fights. Momo wielding a sword against Dark Shadow and the cathartic punch Ochako delivered Bakugou.

"These ladies were some of our top picks, but since we did the ladies first, let's move onto the men!"

Another popularity poll showed up and Izuku found himself...pretty low.

"Now this is a surprise for some of you who watched the Sports Festival." Glimmer said. "But apparently even second place doesn't compare to the son of Endeavor or the combustion student."

Izuku's eye instinctively twitched as shots of Todoroki and Bakugou were shown. One showed a shirtless Todoroki sleeping peacefully outside the ring. The other was Bakugou pinning down Ochako. The camera was weirdly focused on how intimate it appeared with focus on the blonde panting.

"Apparently broken bones and scary roars make you go down."

'...was I frightening?' Izuku stopped the video and looked at his hand. He could almost feel the tingling within his scars. Izuku could only remember bits and pieces of his time in that state. It was a strange sensation. He didn't feel any true rage, his heart was always calm despite how it felt during activation.

The train stopped and Izuku looked to see it was near U.A. Hopping off the train, Midoriya ran. The clouds have gotten darker and little droplets fell from the sky. Izuku mulled over the subject a bit before one of the heavier drops brought him back.

"Five percent would be a bit much, but how about an even 2 percent?" He muttered to himself. His skin slightly sparked pink as his stride increased. He turned towards one of the alleys that brought him closer to school.

Bouncing from wall to wall, Izuku hopped out through the other side and skidded to a stop. He took a breath.

Just before he was suddenly hit!

Izuku yelped alongside the perpetrator. The two fell on the ground and Izuku stood up quickly.

"Uh, what wall of meat…" He stopped to see it was Iida. His friend was wearing a bright yellow poncho with a hood covering his face.

"Please do your best to look where you are going! Many people-" He stopped and saw it was Izuku. "Midoriya, it is not good for a class representative to suddenly tackle people out of nowhere."

"Tackle? Iida, I was taking a shortcut and took a small break."

The engine kid looked at Izuku and at the alley. He sighed and helped Midoriya up. "Then my apology. I should've been paying more attention, but nonetheless we have our deputy as students today!"

Iida helped Midoriya up and the two jogged together.

"As U.A students we have a duty to attend 20 minutes before class starts."

"But Iida class doesn't start for another-" Izuku started, but Iida was already ahead of him. "Hour."

Izuku sighed and followed as quickly as he could.

The rain was getting stronger.

Once the two were inside, Izuku dried himself off with his chakra. His body was slightly steamy when he did so, but he saw Iida was just staring at his locker.

"Iida?"

He got no response, but saw him tightly clenching. "Midoriya...how good is Mr. Takahashi?"

"Healing, right?" He noticed the slight twitch. "You've seen how well he can heal me. I'd say he's pretty good. Do you want me to-"

"No need. I was just curious, I think he's a great healer too. It makes me wonder if he got to him first."

"Is your brother…" He stopped when Iida turned to him with a blank expression.

"You don't have to worry Midoriya. My brother is alive, but incapacitated." Izuku reached out for Iida, but the engine student stepped back. "Enough about me. You have duties today class president. I'll see you in class."

And with that Iida left Izuku with a quick turn and march to the classroom.

"Iida." He muttered.

He walked to the main room for class representatives. Every time he walked in, he was reminded that U.A. was quite the prestigious school and made accommodations that fit the name. Since class reps would have to be here early, Lunch Rush would always pack the first rounds of breakfast in the room.

Everyone from Classes B to F from the first and second years were scattered around the room. Izuku could see the business students working off numerous charts from sales to views around the Sports Festival. General Studies was handling themselves ok alongside support.

However first thing's first: Morning Reports. Vlad King was leading today's reports with Aizawa being backup for any info missed. However today was extra special as even Vice reps hadn't come in.

They had a separate meeting just for them. Izuku guessed the reason would be that there was a secondary job in mapping out their class's eventual departure from the school come the next internship term.

Whatever it was, with both Hero Course teachers leading the meeting in that it was good to assume that the internship results would come with how the Sports Festival was received. And he had a feeling with the destroyed arena, scary powers, and a flying boat that it was pretty good.

"Hey Class A." A voice called out after Aizawa dismissed them to do their jobs or eat before they start.

He turned around and saw Class 1-B's representative Itsuka Kendo. "You were almost late."

"Oh sorry, um, Kendo." It was a bit strange that she approached him, but they did compete recently and Izuku did remember her giving some trouble during the second round. Besides he wasn't opposed to new friends. "How're you?"

"Eh, a bit tired. You'd be surprised what we have today. We were called so early that we didn't have a chance to call in our vice reps."

"Weird, right?" He followed her to the tables and she tossed him an apple. Not missing a beat, he caught and bit a good chunk out of it. "So, how's it going?"

"Well the hand's a bit sore. Especially since you pack quite the wallop." Kendo teased. Izuku shrugged and finished his apple. "You seem a lot less energetic today. You, ok?"

"Eh, it's one of my classmates. It's a problem." Tossing the apple away and grabbing some other breakfast items, Izuku and Kendo walked to their desks.

"Like a Monoma problem?"

"I wish." He snickered.

The two were quick to bond over a mutual blonde that had some delusions of grandeur. Although Monoma was more antagonizing to everyone in Class 1-A while Bakugou was open to scraping with anyone.

"Well we're the class reps. The peace has to be kept otherwise I think our classes would fight on sight with each other."

"I don't think it would be on sight, but you've got a point." Izuku said. He finished his breakfast and the two walked over to the work room. Inside the room stacks of paper sent from the teachers were placed down.

"Whoa. So many heroes saw us." Izuku muttered as he and Kendo began to arrange the papers meant for their internships.

"Did you grab the same paper from the Hero El Normo?"

"I think he sent a dual request for both our classes." Kendo said. The two were looking over the multitude of names.

Eventually the two each held a stack of papers and folders that contained the names of numerous heroes. Alongside them were packets of other heroes open to students requesting internships.

"We better get to class. Vlad and Aizawa wouldn't like it if we were late."

"It'd be illogical to waste time." Izuku said with a monotone voice.

Kendo giggled at the little Aizawa impression and the two walked down the halls together to where they will part ways to their respective classes.

"Well you certainly are holding quite the handful."

"Ah, this?" Izuku was balancing the stacks of papers. "Of course not. I'm perfectly capable of-"

He stopped when he missed the recently cleaned tiles on the floor. His foot slipped and while he kept one hand on one stack, the other flew out his hand. The papers almost scattered on the floor when a giant hand covered the area. The papers all landed and Izuku now had a few more seconds to appreciate Class 1-B's representative's quirk.

"Oof, looks you got some to do some more rearranging."

"It's fine." He said as he picked up the papers from her palm. "I'm more impressed by your reaction with your quirk. I remember it being able to take on one of my stronger punches during the tournament."

"Yeah it really hurt." She shrunk her hand back. "You were lucky I didn't board you or else you would've been going against another martial arts practitioner."

"Wait, you do martial arts?"

Kendo smirked. "Yup. Truth be told, watching you fight through the tournaments, I recognize a few moves. You've got some skill and that makes me want to take you on even more!"

"Huh, Ojiro's the only classmate I know that has skills in martial arts. Hey if we ever get time to train around the same time we could go head to head."

"That sounds perfect. It'd be nice to see where I stack up against you." Kendo bumped him with an elbow. "Can't wait to see how you go on, A."

"A?"

Kendo nodded. "Let's say it's for deepening the bond between our classes. To avoid toxic rivalry."

"Oh yeah, I'll do anything to avoid that." His mind flashed to the image Bakugou. "B."

Kendo beamed at the attempt as Izuku tried rolling a nickname back. First names were ok, but nicknames were different. Tsu's was just an abbreviation and this was just a letter.

"So what kind of styles do you know? I could see karate, judo, and boxing."

"Ah that, uh, well I actually learned-"

"Midoriya." Izuku yelped and turned to see Aizawa. Kendo "Before you head to class, you're needed at Principal Nezu's office. If it takes a while I'll allow the tardiness."

"Oh, of course. I'll head there right away." He bowed respectfully to his teacher as the underground hero tiredly walked off.

He turned to Kendo. "Alright, I guess I'll see you later. B."

"Maybe next time we see each other it'll be on the training grounds, A." Kendo winked and walked away. She was blushing, but the feelings of fluster weren't responsible. It was the hot blooded promise of testing each other that really got her. Ok, maybe the nickname played some part, but it was mostly the promise of combat. Definitely.

Izuku entered the room. Inside Principal Nezu and Takahashi were there. A hologram was shining on their desk playing the final round of the Sports Festival. Izuku's eyes perked up when he saw that they paused at the moment Bakugou was cornered. Izuku's hand was holding a bright and colorful orb that was aimed at his chest.

His heart dropped a little at the downright fierce expression.

"Ah Midoriya, thank you for coming here as soon as you could. You may place the sheets over there before we talk, but also bring Katsuki Bakugou's recommendation papers."

Putting them down and giving him Bakugou's papers, Izuku sat down as Principal Nezu hummed a small tune and read it over. "Now Midoriya, I know this is a bit unorthodox, but your answers will dictate whether I cut this paper or not."

"WHAT?!" Izuku shouted. The principal snickered at his expression as he pulled out a pair of scissors. "Wait, wait, wait! You can't cut up Kacchan's recommendations! He needs that for internships right?!"

"Izuku, calm down and hear him out." Takahashi said.

The student looked in disbelief at his mentor. Nezu put the paper down and crossed his arms. "Midoriya, as you should know, I'm quite aware of your...unorthodox abilities with both Takahashi and All Might."

Izuku flinched at the mention and turned to Takahashi. The mentor shrugged and waited.

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Takahashi has recently informed me of some new developments with his chakra. In part, what he did at this moment during the final match."

Takahashi adjusted his seating position. He grabbed the remote and played the video. Izuku watched the brutal beatdown Katsuki endured. He flinched at the moment the blonde's hand was crushed. It looked all too similar to his own torn flesh.

Suddenly Bakugou was against the wall and Izuku was about to pounce on him. Izuku continued to watch with a heavy lump in his throat as his hand formed a bright orb. The same orb that destroyed a massive iceberg from Todoroki.

When it made contact, Izuku noticed Bakugou turning bright orange for a second. The resulting explosion blew the two apart and the video stopped.

"Did you witness anything strange Midoriya?" Nezu asked.

"...it was Kacchan. He was glowing. Glowing like I do when I-" He stopped himself and looked at Takahashi. "Did I do that?!"

"No." Takahashi said. "Only a true master can unlock the other's potential. Which brings us to today."

Nezu's smile slightly lowered as Izuku slowly got the idea of the situation. "You gave Kacchan access to his chakra. To save him from me."

"Yes. I've come to a decision on what to do about Bakugou, but this secret isn't just mine. I would like your input."

"On?"

"Whether I should train Katsuki Bakugou on the nature of chakra."

Far in the distance, the subject sneezed as he pulled out his umbrella. His baggy eyes were weighing heavily on him as other people wondered how sick the boy was. His glare intensified and with his tired expression made him even more irritable.

Izuku was silent for a second before sputtering madly about the implications. Bakugou, the explosive personality, learning about the sacred art of chakra. His eyes had grown to the size of dinner plates alongside his muttering on the possibilities.

"Izuku!" He stopped his sputtering spree and saw Takahashi and Nezu looking at him. "What's your thoughts?"

"W-why would you consider teaching Kacchan?! You never really seemed to like him!"

Nezu glanced at Takahashi as the mentor sighed.

"You are right. I do not like Bakugou. For a number of reasons, that you should know…" Izuku guiltily looked at the ground. "However I've discovered a few benefits on including another student like him."

"I understand that the relationship from what incidents have been reported from Aizawa's quirk examination, All Might's hero training, and the...explosive final round from the Sports Festival you two don't have the most solid relationship. This includes your past from being in the same schools previously."

"I wouldn't say that. I mean…" Nezu switched the holograms to show all their confrontations. Izuku's demeanor deflated the second he remembered all those incidents. Two of which including being in the epicenter of his explosions. "...he wasn't the easiest guy to call a fri-acquaintance."

"It's surprising too. You're quite the student with grades to match our standard. However I find it also interesting about your school reports about you being in fights." Izuku stiffened. "This was clearly before chakra and most certainly before One for All. A quirkless student taking on his classmates."

Izuku bowed deeply. "I'm very ashamed of myself back then, but they were bullies and I was only defending myself."

"Yes, you don't seem like the student to start a fight. Which leads to an interesting example of a quiet, gentle student having a more spotty record compared to the more aggressive student with a spotless record. Tell me Midoriya, seeing the depth of your relationship with Bakugou, has there been incidents of conflict between you two? Where there was a clear aggressor?"

Izuku's fist balled against his thigh. He looked at Takahashi, the only man to truly know the depth, and turned to Nezu. "Yes. Kacchan led...several conflicts."

"I see. And have these incidents continued since starting U.A?"

"No. I've gotten my ass kicked by a lot of other things to take his place." Izuku jokingly said to ease the tension, but no one was laughing.

"What was the worst thing Katsuki Bakugou has done to you?" Nezu asked.

"Besides a few punches and a few harsh words, nothing else but make smoke fists." Izuku rubbed the back of his head in another attempt to ease tension. He gave a terse chuckle, but neither adult was budging.

He stopped when he saw Nezu's ever present smile completely drop.

"On the day before the sludge incident, I got into a fight with Bakugou. He burned my hero journal and went on his usual spiel of me being nothing to him." He looked and saw Takahashi not reacting. "And maybe he said something about jumping and a next life."

He mumbled the last part, but he could feel the radiating heat from Takahashi. "I don't think he meant it! I mean he wouldn't actually want me dead. Just humiliated and I'm not making a good case."

"No, you're not." Nezu said. "Takahashi?"

"If I train him then we'll be doing some major work on his attitude and views." Takahashi turned to Izuku. "That's if you want him also in on our secret."

"Why are you asking me?! Don't you think it should be handled by you and you alone! I mean...what if I make the wrong decision?"

"If Bakugou proves to be more of a liability, then I will take his chakra away." Takahashi said. Izuku saw his teacher give him the straightest face when saying that with the weight of words leaving no room for doubt.

"Midoriya, this is a lesson in heroism. Heroes make numerous decisions that can decide the outcome of many situations. I understand your disagreements with him, but what about your admiration?"

Izuku swallowed nervously and twiddled with his fingers. "Kacchan has...a lot of qualities to like. He's always striving forward, confident, and his talent is amazing. He embodies victory and a near unbreakable drive. I hate him, but ignoring those qualities is disingenuous."

"I see." Takahashi crossed his arms. "Katsuki Bakugou is a student obsessed with strength, glory, and dominance. It reminds of another hero."

The collective pictured Endeavor. Izuku's hands felt more clammy at knowing how horrible Todoroki's father was.

"He shouldn't become anything like that." Izuku said. "But learning chakra, could really change that part?"

Takahashi nodded. "Chakra is both power and enlightenment. I've gifted you power to stand among your peers and with One for All, you've gained much wisdom in how control and power are. Bakugou could learn the same lessons. And if his nature refuses I can take it away."

Nezu watched Izuku wrap his brain around the prospect.

"...ok. I'll support your decision."

Nezu smiled and ripped up the recommendations.

Izuku sighed for what seemed the umpteenth time as he looked at Bakugou's new recommendation. Placing it in the pile, Izuku finally reached his classroom. There were a few people already there. Iida, of course, sat at attention at his desk. Mr. Aizawa was sleeping underneath his desk. Mineta was actually on time as well with Kaminari and him looking at that web video he sent him earlier.

However what caught his attention was Jirou. The girl seemed very glum even more than usual. Putting the papers down at Aizawa's desk, Izuku said his greetings when he walked over to Jirou.

"Morning Jirou." He shot a bright smile and it almost seemed the light touched her, but her emotional aura blocked it.

"Hey Green." She said and slumped forward.

"You're in a mood today? Are you one of those weather people that feel different depending on the day?"

She shook her head. He scratched his cheek in confusion when he saw that Kaminari looked kinda guilty. Alongside noticing Mineta rubbing his ear to soothe some pain.

"Did they do something disrespectful? Guys-" He turned to them when Jirou grabbed his sleeve.

"Those showed me that stupid video going online about rankings. I'm being too emotional right now."

"What? The rankings? Mineta sent me that video and I didn't see anything about...you." The puzzle pieces fit together as he remembered seeing this and feeling as if they were missing someone. "Oh."

"Yeah, oh." Now Izuku really noticed the tell-tale signs of low self-esteem especially in the body department. Before his training, Izuku wasn't exactly the most fit. His arms were okay, but he distinctly remembered to bear a katsudon belly. And when your favorite hero is All Might and not Fat Gum then you begin to feel slightly inferior to your more fit peers. "It's stupid anyways."

"You're right it is a little stupid, but Jirou I'm now a little insulted that they didn't include you."

"Really?"

"Well if it's any consolation, I got last place for the guys. Plain face and all." He said. The art of self depreciation was a tricky balance of humbling and self loathing for the sake of humor. But to make his classmate feel better, he'd take a bigger hit. "Besides I know it's not a lot, but I think you should be ranked pretty high."

Jirou slightly perked up at that and rolled her eyes. "Trying to make me feel better?"

"If that's what you call truth. Then yes!" He shot her one more smile and this one actually got the better of her. A small bit of mirth shined through when she turned her head away from him. A blush adorned her cheeks, but she didn't let it get to her as she jabbed at his shoulder. "Ow!"

"Aw, don't be a baby, Green. I've seen what you can take."

"Still, that's my sore shoulder." Izuku said. He noticed her tiny smile and considered a job completed. Jirou appreciated the effort and that was enough to have him walk back to his desk. Jirou watched him walk away and huffed.

"Dork."

Soon everyone arrived in class. Sero was going on about how he was recognized alongside several others. Izuku saw Momo talking with Jirou, but could feel her eyes watching him. Along with her gaze was Mina and the implications were noticeable.

"Mina, Mina, Mina!" The pink girl snapped out of her daze and saw her invisible friend waving her sleeve. "You've been staring at Midori for a bit longer than I thought. Crushing hard?"

Mina waved her off as everyone else continued their conversations. A few minutes before class started, the door opened and Katsuki walked in. His eyes were baggy and his posture even worse than normal. Any of his usual "charm" was replaced with guttural snarling.

Izuku once again felt stares at his back, but he knew it wasn't the girls. It was Bakugou. He turned to greet him, but the words were caught at his throat. Bakugou was really looking at him as if he was peering into his soul.

Taking advantage of the moment, he activated his sixth sense and saw Bakugou. In the core of his being, a small orange flame was flickering. It wasn't strong or weak. It was simply existing and now having full confirmation, Izuku decided to start.

"Morning Kacchan. How're you?"

"Fuck you."

"I'm great thank you for asking." Izuku tried to remain bright, however Bakugou still seemed to be staring down at him. It got to the point where others were noticing the tension. "So, uh, did you do anything fun this weekend?"

He started sweating a bit as Bakugou approached him and despite growing a bit, the blonde still had a few centimeters to him.

"We still have a score to settle."

"Sure, uh, I'm still a bit sore from you blasting me. Maybe we can do cards." Bakugou grinded his teeth and turned around.

Aizawa rose from behind his desk. Shedding the sleeping bag, the underground hero got all of his students attention.

"Sit."

Everyone followed the order to the letter when Aizawa put his hands on the desk. "Good. Now to start with, we'll be doing a special hero exercise today."

The class tensed up when Aizawa picked up some whiteboards.

"Codenames."

The collective was excited, but quickly deflated when Aizawa flashed his red eyes. "Normally second to third are picked, but if the first years give exemplary performances, the drafts are extended to them."

One press of the button later and several numbers popped up.

Midoriya: 3,423

Todoroki: 3,273

Tokoyami: 567

Iida: 332

Yaoyorozu: 276

Kaminari: 133

Ochako: 120

Bakugou: 1

"EH?! WHAT THE HELL?!" The rest of class was just as floored at the results. Izuku sweated nervously as he knew the reason for the one recommendation. "DEKU, WHAT DID YOU DO YOU ASSHOLE?!"

"Me?!"

An explosion burned the desk as Bakugou stood up. "YOU DID SOMETHING YOU PRICK!"

"I-I-!" Izuku waved his arms in some defense.

"Enough!" Aizawa wrapped his capture scarf around Bakugou before the blonde could do anything. "Nezu told me that you were given a special request. One that made it easy to decide you would go to."

"Yeah Kacchan, think of it as something you won!"

"I didn't win shit, DEKU!" Bakugou shouted.

Aizawa's eyes flashed dangerously and the blonde finally settled down. "If you're done howling, I can continue. Note that even if you didn't get invites, that you'll be participating in internships. You've had a taste of battle, but you experienced it as students."

Aizawa grabbed some markers. "You'll gain more real experience on the field."

"Which leads us to codenames!" Sato said. The rest of class was murmuring with happiness as Aizawa gave up.

"Your codenames are temporary, but it should be taken seriously or-"

The door slid open. "-The Midnight Boys are really nice just accept the gift."

"They put this in my car, Nemuri. How did they get into my car?" Takahashi questioned the art teacher when they noticed the door was open. The nurse was holding a bouquet of flowers with a large heart saying Thank You. Midnight pulled out her whip and cracked it in front of the class.

"There'll be hell to pay!"

'Is she is trying to play this off?' The class thought.

Aizawa let out the biggest groan that followed him into his transition to a sleeping caterpillar.

"Begone my nurse as it is time for a lesson."

"I will not be ignored! They got gifts on my desk before the building opened. I found a thank you note in my lunch!" Midnight grabbed the door and slowly closed it in front of him. "You are not getting out of this conversation!"

Click.

All this time Izuku stared at his desk. 'Funny. Maybe I should try something similar.'

"Now in the professional world of heroism and society in general, we immortalize numerous names to go down in public record and glory. Today the names you pick may define your professional names!"

"Aliases weren't my specialty and Midnight has a greater sense of drama so…" He rolled over and slept.

"Your alias should represent who you are. Physically, mentally, or align with goals. They must leave an impression on both the civilians you save and the villains you battle." Midnight struck another pose as she explained.

Everyone got their white boards and began writing down their names.

Izuku hit a roadblock on his name. All of his previous hero names were all All Might themed. Too obvious in his opinion.

"Hey, Midoriya." Mineta whispered. The green teen looked up as Mineta lifted his board. "What do you think?"

"Makes me thirsty?"

"Oh."

"Not like that especially for girls." Mineta pouted and went back.

After a few minutes Aoyama went up. He did a full sentence. Like an entire sentence. "I cannot stop twinkling."

Izuku's eye twitched at that as he saw little practicality in that. "Uh, Aoyama."

"Oui?"

"What about Glamor Beam? It's just as flashy."

Both Midnight and Aoyama's eyes were ironically twinkling at that suggestion. He quickly switched it over.

"Alien Queen!" Mina bounced up and said.

"Denied! The Scott Ridley Foundation would log U.A. down with copyrights!" Mina gained a depression cloud.

"Rainy Hero: Froppy." Tsu said.

'That's adorable.'

After Tsu's name gained everyone's attention and smoothed the initial awkwardness, everyone shared their names. Izuku was already writing their new hero names in his journal entries.

"Shoto."

"Hm. Just your name?"

"I need a bit more time."

"King Explosion Muder."

"Denied for violent imagery."

"WHAT?!"

As more people went up, Izuku saw Mina waving at him and wrote down a question. -What should my name be?-

Izuku thought of that. He scanned her appearance and remembered how dazzling she was before when dancing. Her features were unforgettable and quite beautiful and...he shook his head.

He quickly wrote down a name and added a question mark so it could be seen as a suggestion. Mina's eyes widened and sparkled in appreciation. She quickly wrote it down and got up.

"Ashido?"

"The Breakdancing Hero: Acid Queen!"

"Inspiring! Great comeback!"

Mina sat down glowing as Izuku was happy to see it worked. She subtly waved at him and drew a heart. He blushed at that and tried focusing back on his own name. Momo and Ochako saw that with some clear jealousy. Jirou and Tsu also noticed, but had more subtle expressions of...curiosity.

Izuku was happy to help, but now he had to focus on his name. The others had forever to think of one. And now he should try. There had to be something. Something from the past or experience to base his identity on.

He glanced at Bakugou and then at Ochako. "C-Could I actually…?"

Iida looked at his board and wrote the first characters of Ingenium. But then the dripping rain from the window made his mind flash back to the hospital. Mother was crying, machines were beeping, and his brother laid so helpless.

A missing eye, a career ending spine injury, and his brother could barely talk.

"T-Tenya."

"Tensei, I'm here!"

"Good. He...didn't get you."

"Who? Who didn't get me?!"

But at that point his brother was only babbling about the hero name being his. Officially, it was declared Tensei fell as a victim to Stain's blade. Yet something Iida's gut told him more. Something else was in play. Someone else attacked his brother. He couldn't prove it, but this mutilation on his eyes was not from a blade.

Iida kept staring at his board before erasing and starting over.

"Tenya."

"Your name only?" However Midnight was a little more than aware. Ingenium was an influential hero to all. And retirement meant the name was now vacant.

"Yes." Iida walked back to his desk and sat up in attention.

Izuku could do nothing as he saw Iida's unwinding before him. He felt useless. Truly useless. That burn turned into a fire as he knew what characters to write.

"Midoriya, your turn."

"Alright, here's my name." He held the board in front of everyone.

"Are you sure about that?"/"I don't know about that one man./"You could be called that forever."

Izuku nodded. "I know. You can call it contingency in case I fail, but no that's not it. I've been called this under more malicious intent, but you'd be surprised how one could change the meaning to it."

He flashed a smile at Ochako. "I'll stand by the name. The Not-So Helpless Hero: Deku, A Hero Who Will Reach All!"

Izuku looked over at Iida and knew who he had to reach first. But first there was a need for patience.

Midnight seemed satisfied and with Izuku being the last student to go, everyone could resume their classes.

At the end of the current period, Izuku felt his phone vibrate.

-H: Come on over to the Support Building! I got some babies to show you.

-H: It's Hatsume, Ten Million so don't freak out.

A picture of a half built machine entered the chat.

-H: Whoops wrong baby. I'll show your more baby pics when you get here!

"Deku, you coming?"

"Ah not now Ochako. I actually got called over to the support course. I think they finished my suit in time for internships."

"Oh ok. I'll see then." Ochako walked off and Izuku noticed she was holding two lunch boxes on her. He shrugged and turned the corner.

A quick jog down and the big doors of the Support Course were in front of him.

"Hatsume?" He called out. The door didn't explode on him so that was a good sign. "Hatsume, I got your text. Though I'm really concerned on how you got my-"

Izuku's sense flared as a grappling hook flew through the air. He ducked just in time and heard a clunk. Standing up to examine the wire, Izuku followed its path to the shooter and saw Hatsume coming right at him!

"WEEE!"

"HATS-"

BOING!

CRASH!

Izuku found himself between a hard and soft place. One cheek sticking to the cool metal, while the other was touching soft, squishy fabric.

"Ah Ten Million. What a lovely surprise to see you." A few muffled noises were heard as she tilted her head. "Huh?"

Izuku, more annoyed and not realizing his position, shifted his face and shot a small glare. "Do you always need to find some way to get me caught in your messes?"

"If the messes make a pathway to progress then I will live in a pigsty!" Mei cheerfully exclaimed.

Izuku opened his mouth to retort, but clearly saw the resolve gleaming from her eyes. In fact he was really seeing the detail in her eyes. The yellow shade, the distinct crosshairs, the shifting bounciness against his chin...wait, what?

The soft sensation finally hit Izuku as he noticed Hatsume on top of him. On top of him with a short black tank top and his nose peeking between her…

His pupils shrunk as he suddenly vanished behind Hatsume. The inventor found herself on her hands and knees. Turning over, she saw Izuku holding his face as his face was growing more and more red. Words began sputtering out of his mouth as he tried to apologize.

Hatsume watched him try to apologize for almost half a minute. It was so adorable and quite the change from the more serious side. For that reason, Hatsume unknowingly wiggled slightly as she got his attention.

"Hey it's okay, Ten Million. I don't really care." She chuckled to herself as Izuku suddenly stood up and turned away.

"Y-You texted me about my costume!"

"I did?"

"YES!" He shouted as Hatsume walked in front of him. He tried to not look down until the pink haired inventor held up a gauntlet. "Huh?"

"Check it out!"

He took the gauntlet from her and examined it. The contraption was very simple. It was a third the length of his form arm with a comfy material on the inside. The bracer itself was metal with black lines painted around it. And finally there was a small trigger point that stretched out where the palm would be.

"The grapple gauntlets."

"Yup, yup. I spent the break examining its test run during the Sports Festival and gave them a proper makeover."

"Hatsume." Izuku said as she helped him put it on. The fit was snug and Izuku saw how streamlined the design truly was. The Sports Festival pair was bare with only the essential grappling mechanism. "You spent the entire break perfecting them."

"And adding more to them!" She made him turn his wrist where he noticed a wheel. The design was similar to a watch with two lines at the top and bottom. "Now as you witnessed earlier, dial one is a grappling hook."

She led him over to her desk and helped him aim the item at a cup of coffee. "If you want to bring an item to you, press down once."

He followed her instruction and the grappling hook fired out. It grasped the mug and Izuku pressed the trigger again. It brought the mug to him where he quickly caught it.

Hatsume moved in front of him. "Excellent Ten Million! If you do the same thing to buildings or walls, then you'll head to them instead."

"Did you find that out just now?"

"Five minutes ago actually." She grabbed his wrist again and switched it to dial two. "Make a fist and clench it."

Izuku did as he was asked and almost yelped to see a short blade pop out. "Hatsume! What is-"

"Your hidden blade!" She went to her desk and grabbed a second bracer. She tied it down on her wrist and popped out the same blade. "I was cutting some really tough material and it got me thinking. You can pop out a grappling hook, why not a knife? Heck it's even twisty so you can have a better grip."

"Uh, Hatsume, knives aren't my style. I'm more of a hand to hand guy." He clenched again and the blade slid back in. "Plus what happens if I accidentally popped this out in a fight? I could lose a finger."

Hatsume looked a little disappointed at that, but pulled out a mannequin's hand. It was missing its ring finger. "I've already accounted for it. Several times."

Izuku peeked underneath her desk and saw a bunch of mannequin hands with different fingers missing. Some even had holes through the palms. He turned blue at the sight as Mei was looking over her blueprints.

"So the blade isn't quite your taste."

"Not really." Izuku popped the blade out again. He examined the handy work and saw the craftsmanship to it. It looked very similar. Too similar. "Mei, where'd you get the blade design?"

"Oh I remembered the ponytail girl you fought."

"Momo?"

"Sure." She pulled up a holo-disk and showed Momo wielding a blade against Izuku. Sliding her finger across the hologram, she played the video where Izuku was dodging each swipe. "I spliced together some recordings from my headgear and the official tape showing of the festival. You're good in close combat, but you can't exactly punch a sword head on unless either A. You got the gear to do so or B. Had your own weapon. And I didn't have a chance to explore all options."

"Huh." Izuku said and examined the blade again. "Maybe I will keep it."

"Eh? You will?"

"You were right to think ahead of what I should be able to do with weapons." His fingers wrapped around the duller end of the blade and twisted it. From a normal to a reverse grip, Izuku saw how flexible the blade was. "I'll just have to train with a knife."

Hatsume chuckled and rubbed the back of her head. "Aw, you're welcome. Anything for my b-"

"Don't." Izuku warned.

"Friend." Hatsume said without missing a beat. He sighed in relief. "Oh one more feature, I think you'll like."

He watched her twist the wheel all the way around. The bracer began to collapse down into a wristband. His eyes widened as he sheathed the blade and did the same action. He could feel the material go down his arm and take the form of the same wristband.

"Clockwise to seal, Counter clockwise to reveal. Easily collapsible and fashionable. If a baby is needed then it'll always be on you."

"Holy crap! Hatsume this is...Awesome!" Izuku laughed. He turned it counter clockwise and watched the bracer form around his arm. It started at dial one. "You're really amazing."

"Aw, shucks."

"No I mean it." He said. "I gave you a small idea and you ran with it. We talk about going Plus Ultra in fights, but with gear you're probably the definition of it."

Hatsume's smile didn't change, but seeing the genuine pleasure of his gratitude made her cheeks feel slightly warmer.

"Hatsume?" His question broke her out of her stupor.

"You want to try out the grapple function again?!" She shouted quickly. He barely even acknowledged her when she fired off her own hook. He barely managed to dodge it when the hook bounced off the target.

Hatsume reeled it back in before it wrapped around them. Izuku and Mei yelped as the metal wire brought them together. Falling over, Izuku rolled them over to where he was at the bottom.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds when Hatsume grinned. "It's got a capture function."

"I take back everything."

"Don't worry. I have just the tool in my pocket to get us out. Just let me-!" Hatsume wiggled in protest. She propped her legs to his sides, raising and lowering her hips to get a better angle, and Izuku blushed hard at what it may look like.

"Hatsume! Hatsume, stop! Or-!"

An awkward cough got their attention and the two students saw Powerloader looking down on them.

"Please tell me that this is a gear test."

"YES!" The two yelled.

Powerloader managed to separate the two and sent Izuku on his way to class. Hatsume gave one last affirmation that his new suit will be ready for the upcoming internships. With that statement, Izuku gave her a thumbs up while Hatsume went back to her invention.

Both support and hero students were blushing pretty hard although Hatsume never really noticed.

Izuku power walked down the hall to the mess hall to forget the entire incident and focus solely on the new gear. If he ignored the...incident, then he could remember that Hatsume gave him something to potentially increase his mobility. He wasn't like Sero where he could make his own capture weapons.

"Deku!" He looked up from his walk to see himself already at the cafeteria. Looking around he saw his friends and looked to see Momo and Jirou together with Mina, Tsu, and Tooru at a table. The ponytail and pink girl noticed him, but were drawn back to their conversation when they saw Izuku nod at them. A signal for "soon".

His other classmates were already enjoying their meals, but he saw Ochako waving at him with that second box he saw her carry in today. He saw Iida was there as well, but he was sitting a bit further than usual.

"Hey Ochako." He sat down next to her and gave Iida one last look. "So it's a second lunch box."

"Yup. My parents delivered some more fruits and vegetables from Takahashi's garden. Apparently he offered them bonuses if they helped his harvest as well."

"Really? But your parents aren't working hard as construction workers. I hope he's not taking advantage of them." Izuku pondered on that as he was the normal free labor before.

Ochako bashfully rubbed the back of her head. "Eh, my parents taught me that no job is too small if you really want something besides they kind of found out I don't eat at time to save money."

"WHAT?!" Izuku yelled. Iida looked at them too and was also surprised by the circumstance. "Ochako, you really budget food out of your life?"

"I did!" She quickly raised her hands. "But the lunch program here helped a lot and now I'm getting some produce from parents and your...guardian. It's fine, Deku."

"Alright. I just hope you're taking care of yourself."

Ochako smiled at him as he relaxed back into his seat. She opened the lunch box and Izuku was treated to a very homely meal. A nice salad with potato wedges, apple slices, and edamame.

"Here Deku." She picked up some apple slices and held it at him.

"What? Ochako, I can't eat this. It's your lunch."

"It's fine, I had one lunch box for myself and the other to share with you. Now you just owe me some food next time." She smiled brightly.

"That's exploitative. Is that really that attitude of a hero?" He chuckled. She giggled and passed the snack to Izuku. The crip crunch of the apple hit their ears and reminded the two of the excellent produce they have access to.

Ochako passed him a pair of chopsticks and the two dug into the nice meal she made. Izuku was used to the high protein diet for his muscles so the change to something more colorful was appreciated.

The atmosphere between the two was so sweet that Iida himself was smiling. The two's enjoyment was palpable. Finally, with the last edamame eaten, Izuku and Ochako looked at the clean box in satisfaction.

"That was delicious, Ochako."

"The recipes were really simple. I just spruced them up with some fruit." She said. Izuku gazed at her and saw a piece of potato wedge on the side of her lips. He swiped his thumb near the corner of her lips.

The action elicited a blush from her and Izuku realized his mistake.

"You had potato on your face."

"Oh yeah, yeah sure. Don't want a potato there." She said. Ochako looked away really fast as Izuku saw two people approaching him.

"Hey Midori."

"Izuku."

Ochako noticed Izuku stiffen up as he looked apologetic at her. "Oh sorry, Ochako, to cut and run but I gotta talk to these two. Thanks for lunch."

He bowed respectfully and led the way outside. Ochako watched them leave and felt a little twinge of something in her chest as the two girls followed Izuku.

"I wonder what they're talking about. Midoriya acted pretty weird." Iida said. Ochako gave him a weird side eye before closing her lunch box.

"Any chance I can avoid this. I think we can actually focus on helping you guys with your internship-" They led him to a very private part of the courtyard. Other students were eating, but none of them would butt in or interrupt this conversation.

"Izuku, you promised to us about what happened and why you feel so angry."

Mina scratched her cheek. "Yeah, it's kind of scary. I mean you're never really angry unless you were-"

Momo bumped her arm, but Izuku knew what she meant. He opened and closed his mouth trying to figure out where he can start. His mind was already exhausted talking about this with Nezu. It took all of his tolerance and brainpower to open up to the principal. Now he has to do it again.

"I don't like bullies." Izuku said. He leaned against the wall and looked at the bright blue sky. His mind was already exhausted from talking about Bakugou and he couldn't quite exactly expand the nature of his powers. However this would be the closest thing to a confession he could muster. They were his friends, they needed to understand on some level.

Momo and Mina looked on with interest as Izuku breathed deeply.

"When that man started berating that guy and when I found out he was quirkless, I...was reminded of my childhood. My powers hadn't kicked in and-"

"Hadn't?" Momo asked.

"That's right, hadn't. I couldn't have used my power without breaking my body or completely draining my body of energy. If I used it when I was younger, I could've been dead." Mina winced while Momo crossed her arms. "Anyways for the longest time I alongside my mother and others thought I was quirkless."

The light glazed over as a sad smile graced his face. "Even with my mom and Takahashi, I wasn't immune to what others thought. My classmates, my teachers, I mean no one really wanted to associate with a quirkless kid."

"Midori."

"I can't say I blame them." Izuku didn't know where that came from, but something about them felt good. Though maybe he'd feel different if he saw their faces. "In a world filled with quirks, you'd try your best to avoid something...odd."

His sad smile grimaced as flashes of early school days played on. His eyes seemed especially shiny as he tried to force his muscles to smile. Yet now it seemed even darker.

"Odd. Powerless. A nuisance." A growl covered the last word. Momo and Mina swallowed nervously as they saw Izuku's hands spark pink. "Wouldn't it be nice if they weren't here? Maybe they'll have a better chance in the next life. I've heard it all."

"Izuku!"

He stopped himself and realized he was sweating. His hair was slightly floaty and he could feel his energy sparking. Though that's not what caught him off guard. What caught him off guard was Momo's and Mina's faces. The two were drained of color.

"Oh my gosh, guy's I'm so sorry! I was too caught up in everything and I-" He didn't get a chance to say another word as both girls hugged him. His emotional state distracted him from the pleasant situation. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize." Momo said. "We understand."

Mina just squeezed him tighter. Izuku calmed down a bit more to return the hug and held them somewhat closer. After a few more seconds, he let go of them and could feel a bit lighter. Though Momo's expression made him realize he wasn't out just yet.

"Powerless. You're called Deku by Bakugou. And he doesn't use it in the more ironic sense I'm guessing like Ururaka."

He knew where this was going. "Kacchan and I...complicated, but you don't have to do anything. Things are being arranged to fix things."

Mina and Momo shared a glance before Izuku breathed in and smiled. "Well I'm exhausted. Can we get ready for class?"

"Sure." Mina said.

As the trio walked away, they didn't see Ochako was behind the corner. Her hand was clenched on her chest after hearing everything.

In the offices of U.A.

"Where did this Thank You chocolates come from? How did it get in my files?!" Toshinori was snickering at Takahashi's plight while he was texting someone. Midnight was sitting at her desk almost dying from laughter as she watched him struggle. Throughout the entire day, Midnight's personal fanclub/members of her agency aka the Midnight Boys, have dropped multiple gifts on Takahashi.

Hearing of his heroic tale saving their mistress has the boys bending over to show their appreciation. Plus they were extremely creative in gifting the nurse from places he didn't know. Like his car, lunchbox, and even his filing cabinet. Chiyo liked the chocolates given, they were very sweet.

"Ah one more?" Cementoss said. "And it's for Midoriya."

"Another one?" All Might peeked over his shoulder and his blue eyes shrunk. "Oh...no."

"That's a name I think I remember." Cementoss said. He pulled the paper off when All Might held his hand out.

"I'll deliver it to Young Midoriya." Cementoss understood and passed it before realizing how shaky All Might was. His shining blue pupils sunk into the black abyss that was the rest of his eyes. Cementoss awkwardly let go of the paper as Takahashi was now passing the chocolates around to the rest of the staff.

"All Might, Cementoss, you want some chocolate?"

"Well I don't say no to treats. Many thank Takahashi."

"All Might?" Toshinori didn't respond, but grabbed Takahashi by the sleeve and with strength his Small Might form wasn't normally capable of dragging the nurse away. "Hey, hey!"

Before leaving, All Might buffed up and ran with Takahashi out of the room. "WHAT THE HE-HECK!"

A couple of students were passing by when they saw the new nurse being held by All Might like a small doll.

Class went on like normal until it was about the final ten minutes. The sunset was quite beautiful as they all were talking about their internships.

Izuku, however, focused on his papers. Momo and Mina decided to give him space to collect his thoughts and rest from the earlier confession. Unfortunately his mind was a bit frazzled as he went through all the heroes who recommended him. There were offers from some Top Heroes like Crust. However two names that really got his attention was a recommendation from Hawks and Endeavor?!

Todoroki walked to his desk and saw the form. "So my old man wants you to come over as well?"

"Uh, I guess but I don't know why."

"He saw your fire. That's probably a factor." Izuku remembered watching the footage from the fight between him and Todoroki. And again from the reports at the USJ, there was an instance of him being able to produce flames from his mouth.

He covered his lips to feel an ironic sense of using his absentee father's quirk.

"It'd be nice to have a friend."

"Yeah it would be although I really don't like your dad."

"I feel the same. My father's scum, but even I could admit that his abilities are from subpar." His fists clenched. "I will use it for my own gain to become a better hero from him. Besides what I learn from him can make it clear on what I have to avoid."

Izuku grinned. "Good for you, I'm glad you're finding something out of this. I wonder if it should be Hawks then. He's incredibly fast, nimble, and his sensory abilities with his feathers are second to none."

"He's better than my old man in a lot of areas so you can probably learn something."

"It's a shame. One hero I'd like to learn from is Miruko."

Todoroki tilted his head. "The number six hero?" I

Izuku nodded. "While Hawks is very fast, he can't go up against power types. Full Cowling gives me both speed and power. If I learned from Miruko, I could probably learn how to fight stronger opponents like those who dwarf me in size. But she doesn't accept internships unless someone forces her."

Todoroki almosted commented on the USJ Nomu, but immediately saw how Izuku's back was slightly shaking when just talking about it.

"Well good luck choosing."

Izuku waved goodbye to his friend when he heard Ochako talking about Gunhead. "-I need the versatility you know. After my fight with Bakugou, it got me thinking on what skills I needed."

"That's smart Ochako. If you want after your internships, I can test your skill against mine."

"Sure! I'd like that!" He was happy to train with most of his friends.

"I'm choosing Mt. Lady!" Mineta proudly proclaimed.

Snapping his head to face Mineta, Izuku leaned in. "This isn't some perverted way of doing your internship right."

Mineta sweated nervously as Izuku seemed to tower over him. "Of course not. I have...a practical reason."

"Oh. Tell me then." Mineta was better than before, but his perverted nature would get the best of him sometimes. As class president, it would be an injustice for a classmate to fall to his vices.

"Uh, she's relatively new to the scene and it would be great to learn how a pro first makes it in and handles herself."

"Good."

He turned over to the other when the door opened. "I AM HERE IN A VERY WEIRD POSITION!"

"Let go of me!" Takahashi almost screamed.

All Might waved at Midoriya. "Young Midoriya, please join me outside real quick. There's something of importance."

"Oh, uh, ok." He waved by to his friends as he followed the teachers.

He joined his mentors in a secluded area and All Might finally let go of Takahashi. A small poomf was heard as Takahashi touched the ground. "Great thanks, now tell me what was worth dragging me out."

He deflated into his Small Might form and held out a piece of paper. "It's a hero offer."

"Another one?"

"Is it from someone important?"

"Uh, yes. A very close personal friend of mine in the past." All Might started when Izuku got bright sparkles in his eyes.

"SIR NIGHTEYE?! Your first and only sidekick wants to work with me?! Really, how? Does he know about One for All? If he does, does that mean he's willing to work with me?"

All Might spewed a record amount of blood from the name as Takahashi pondered on that name.

"Uh, no, no! It's not Nighteye. That's a whole different can of worms." He wiped his mouth. "I'm talking about my old teacher. A man that trained me alongside my master. His name is Gran Torino."

Both Takahashi and Izuku's expressions reacted weirdly to the name. Izuku's was confused while Takahashi's was more...realization.

"Gran...Torino." Takahashi muttered. "Your teacher was Gran Torino."

"Yes, he trained alongside my master, Nana Shimura." Izuku was too busy processing the information of Gran Torino's role and the seventh successor's name to see Takahashi's pupils dilated. His breath hitched at the name.

"I see."

"Gran Torino was a U.A. teacher for a year. He's a sworn friend entrusted with the secret of One for All."

Izuku noticed Takahashi just staring at the table. "Do we have to share that secret with him? Takahashi?"

"Huh? You mean chakra. Uh, sure. If he can be trusted with One for All then I'll...let him know of. That." All Might was now noticing the behavior as well. "Or you can. Just give the basics and we'll take it from there."

All Might reached over. "Is something the matter? Do you know Gran Torino?"

"I've heard of him." Takahashi mumbled. "Him being a friend of a friend. Never met him, but now…"

He stopped himself and composed himself. "Why is he requesting Izuku?"

"Ah, that. I believe I sent him a letter about Young Midoriya when I passed on my quirk and now it seems he wants to check in." All Might shuddered. "Oh no. He's doing this to judge my teachings. Teachings I really, uh, lack."

"I'll say. Most Izuku's techniques come from me."

"That's not true. All Might taught me some stuff!" Izuku chimed in.

"Like?"

Izuku opened and closed his mouth before weakly raising a finger. "He taught me how to be a good her-"

Takahashi slammed his fist on the table. "TOO BROAD!"

All Might looked like he faced deep despair upon reflecting on who's teaching Midoriya took more after. "So, yeah, Gran Torino will see your progress and see where you stand on One for All."

Izuku realized he had to ask something of his teachers and knew All Might wasn't going to like it.

"Uh, speaking of which, Takahashi can you teach me how to wield a knife?" Izuku asked.

Takahashi and All Might blinked at the request before All Might fell over in despair at another skill he couldn't teach.

"ALL MIGHT, I'M SORRY!"
