Disclaimer: I don't own Elizabeth Keen, Raymond Reddington, Dembe Zuma, or the world of The Blacklist.

Sorry I haven't updated for a long time! I know I said I'd update weekly, but I got WAY ahead of myself! I wasn't sure where to take the story next and didn't want to post something that didn't feel right! I'm sorry to have been misleading. I don't know if anyone still wants to read this after so much time and the show back on. But I don't like to leave things unfinished!

I'm still not entirely sure where to go with this story overall or when or how often I'll update, but I want to post this new chapter. I hope you'll enjoy it. :-)

Thank you for anyone reading and who stuck around! I hope you enjoy the new chapter! Hopefully this will provide even a few minutes of entertainment for someone during this pandemic.

A few days ago, I uploaded this chapter and it didn't translate correctly from a pages document correctly and ended up unreadable. I'm so sorry for not checking and letting this chapter be like that for a few days. And a HUGE thanks to patrice123 for letting me know.

Finally, without further ado, "The Truth: Chapter 3: Memory Lane".

As he rides in the backseat of the black Mercedes, he watches Dembe drive them into the city, and back to the land of the living.

After what he had just done, he can't help but think back to the night that changed everything.

He sees Masha trembling in the hallway, watching the fight take place between her mother and an unfamiliar man. With shaky hands she is points a gun at the shadow that is hurting her mother. Tears roll down her cheeks and she pulls the trigger.

Red knows this memory better than any other, it is so deeply ingrained in him, it haunts him more so than anything else he has ever witnessed.

One little moment. One little decision. One little girl that would change so many lives forever.

He knows how much she wants the truth, at this point she probably believes she needs it.

If only she knew, that the truth could destroy her.
