Chapter 12

(I think I felt a kick...!)

A pair of ocean-blue eyes shot open as tears found there was to the edge of his eyelids as he sat up abruptly, drenched in sweat while taking deep breaths. What he found was himself back in his own bed but instead of getting out he just sat there before he covered his mouth as he recalled what happened to Haxus, having murdered the Galra before he vomited on the floor upon recalling about Sendak's death. Taking deep breaths as he began recalling what has transpired before the memory of Allura and Asura stabbing through her caused him to once again vomit, it was at this point the door opened to show Shiro who's eyes widen upon seeing the scene and immediately hurried to the blond who was about to fall out of bed and caught him as he began speaking.

"What did I... what did I... what did I..." He was only able to repeat as he was still absorbing the memories of what had transpired, this worried Shiro who saw the shock on his face but turns his head at hearing footsteps and turns to see Katie at the door, her hair having not been cut but still kept long and also showed shock at seeing Naruto's state.

"NARUTO!"

"So...I'm the reincarnation of the one known as Asura Ōtsutsuki..." Muttered the blond who held a cup to settle his stomach. "That...would explain why that sword appeared in front of me that day...because it recognized me as him." He had a somber tone while staring at the tea, still recalling everything Asura did with his body while sitting at his side was Katie while Shiro stood in front of him.

"The sword is being kept sealed away and contained." Shiro began while looking towards the door. "Allura and Lance are still in the healing pods while Keith." As he spoke, Naruto looked relieved upon hearing about the sword, worried about the Princess and Lance but the moment he got to Keith his expression darkened and it was evident by the fact his fingers tightened to the point the cup cracked, catching them off guard.

"Could you...not mention Keith..." The pilots of Voltron just look at each other

Allura and Lance are out

Naruto just stood there, staring at the door now fully dressed yet didn't move an inch until he took a deep breath and with that he steps forwards, causing the doors to slide open and gain everyone's attention where he saw Lance and Allura sitting down after getting out of the pod. There was only silence as everyone stared at him which he scratches the back of his head while avoiding eye contact just before someone finally spoke up.

"Naruto," Allura's voice got him to jolt. "Are you feeling, ok?" With that question, she stood up staring at Naruto who finally made eye contact to see she was worried instead of fearful or angry yet Naruto just looked down again.

"I-I'm...sorry for what I—AH!" He was snapped out of it by a painful slap on the Coran who proceeded to twist his mustache.

"Now, now! No need to apologize here, we already know you had no control of your body!" As he spoke, the oldest one grabs Naruto by his shoulders and starts pushing him towards the others. "So don't start acting apologetic and what not!" With another slap, he gains an annoying glare from Naruto yet he just sighs and looks at Allura again before down at his feet.

"In the end, it's still my fault for being controlled...I'm sorry for attacking you." In response, a single hand rested on his shoulder with a gentle smile.

"You had no control of your body and was being controlled," Naruto looks up. "you can't possibly take the blame for something like that."

In the end, Naruto once more takes a deep breath, managing a fake weak smile.

"O-Ok..." Allura just smiles at the hybrid Altean just as Lance spoke up.

"So." Lance began, giving a glance at them all. "What's the plan now?" His question got its response from one determined Hunk.

"We have to get back to the Balmera and save Shay and her people." Hunk didn't waver at all as he spoke, showing the importance. "Guys, when you see how Zarkon has treated these people and destroyed their home, you'll understand. They've been under his thumb for so long, they don't know what it is to be free. It's up to us to set this right. This is what being a Paladin is all about. It's time to man up!" It was at this moment, Katie looked a little guilty which didn't go unnoticed.

"Then let's get moving." Shiro began, giving a glance at the Green Lion pilot. "Time to go defend the universe." He starts to walk while the others began getting up but that was when she finally spoke.

"So, is no one gonna ask me why I've been lying?" Her question brought only confusion to Lance who didn't get what she meant, unlike the others who looked at each other. "Why I've been hiding the fact I'm a girl?" The one to respond in a way she least expected was Lance, who instantly flipped.

"Wait, WHAT?! YOUR A GIRL? HOW?! I thought you decided to outgrow your—..." Lance immediately stops and starts to think, realizing that what he thought was idiotic, so much so the others just gave him a blank look at knowing what he was about to say before Allura spoke up.

"I've known for some time, but I'm glad you've shared it with everyone."

"Yeah, I figured."

"Oh, yeah, me too."

"Wait, we were supposed to think you were a boy? I thought you just like, how you humans say, Cross-dressing?"

The last part got an eye twitch from the girl, unlike Naruto who cracked a true smile just as Shiro spoke up with a smile.

"Pidge, owning who you are is going to make you a better Paladin." His words left there mark as she lets out a sigh.

"It's good to get that off my chest."

Her smile becomes cheerful again. "Now, let's launch this castle-ship!"

It was by this moment, everything seemed to start moving again despite Naruto still bothered by what happened yet that immediately disappears the moment Lance spoke of the forbidden scene.

"Wait, what?! So Pidge was a girl and the castle is a ship—wait, didn't you walk in on Naruto naked Pidge?" In an instant, Naruto forgot about everything and turned as red as a tomato just as Katie froze, her face also turning quite red, unlike the others who's jaws slowly dropped at Lance telling them such a thing which got two blushing teammates to look at him in embarrassment and anger.

"DAMMIT LANCE!" Both Naruto and Katie shout at the guy who was taken aback while taking steps back upon seeing the two walking towards him which Hunk just facepalms since now everything's awkward yet with a few acts of vengeance, Lance ran out of the room in fear while the others went back to what they were doing to prepare themselves, leaving a few.

"So, Uh..." Katie finally said after speaking up, gaining his attention to see her on his right, twirling her long hair, finally managing to get enough courage to ask. "What do you think of me keeping my hair long?" That question caught him off guard as his face heated up again and looks away.

"I-It looks great!" Stuttered the blond who very much found her long hair to make her look even more attractive which in turn caused her to blush while twirling her hair more and at this point he noticed Keith approaching him which change him emotion quickly.

"Naruto—" Keith was cut off by Naruto walking past him, surprising him, Katie, and Shiro who was watching with a smile until this moment. Turning around, he saw Naruto already walking towards the door while he spoke.

"Keith...just...leave me alone right now..." With that said, the door begins to shut yet he gave one last look at him and instead of sadness or confusion, it was slight anger. Watching this, Katie turns to Keith who looks down with sorrow, the two just surprised that it seems they've done a complete turn around with Naruto being angry with Keith who looks apologetic.

Naruto had finished getting dressed in his sleek black and orange stealth suit again with its repairs already being completed, to was when they launched into space that Naruto went to check his suit yet due to the fact his body size grew such as his muscles it had to be readjusted to suit him. By the time it finished, he was walking towards the bridge but as he did so, visions began happening of Asura...his past life before it was ruined by Voltron which in turn stopped him in his tracks to just staring at his helmet in his hands before sighing.

"I can't deal with this now." With that mutter, he puts it on and hurries to the bridge by quickly walking yet upon arrival he found himself walking into was an odd conversation happening.

"Attention, Galras, this is Voltron. Turn yourselves in!" Hunk shouts in a loud and commanding voice before turning back to normal. "No. Blasting, right?"

"Hunk." Keith began, raising his arms in a calming motion. "Calm down. And yes, blasting." Keith finished just as he saw Naruto arrive in the room tho there was still that uncomfortable silence for couple seconds until Shiro quickly spoke.

"Eh, it's our first big rescue mission. He's excited." Hearing him say that quickly, Katie caught one and also spoke to try and have less focus on Naruto with an idea of her own.

"Excited to see his new girl-friend~" this got a gasp of defense from Hunk.

"She's not my girlfriend! She's just a rock that I met and I admire very much." That only gets raised eyebrows just before the alarms began blaring.

"What is it?" Lance stands instantly, turning in his repeatedly in both directions. "Are we being attacked?"

"No, it seems to be a distress beacon." Allura presses a button to show a massive floating rock. "It's coming from a nearby moon. Apparently, a ship has lost power."

"I wonder who it is."

"Whoever it is will have to wait. Shay has the first priority. We can check back on them when we're done."

While hearing the two speak, Naruto just stares at the moon close by, close enough to see from the window of the ship yet oddly enough he felt something weird, only coming back to his senses when Lance started imitating a siren sound, causing Naruto to show an annoyed expression before thankfully Shiro intervenes and places a hand over Lance's mouth.

"No, not doing that." With that done, their ship continues it's the way towards the moon and with it, the feeling Naruto felt getting a little stronger.

What they saw were three figures sitting down next to a robot at a campfire with storages near them, two of the trended could be identified by their appearances yet the third could not due to the full body suit and hood over the individuals head, they all looked up at the arrival of the ship has created a strong gust of wind that tipped over the robot and blew out the fire.

[Allura: Attention, damaged craft, this is Princess Allura. We are coming to assist you.]

The one that could be identified as a man stood up with a smile as he watched the ship land before them three as the female of the three stood up to stand next to the guy who had a twig in his mouth.

"Whoa. Nice ship. Hey Tigress," His words caught the attention of the hooded one, having a demons figure as they just look up a little. "Aren't you gonna also greet our 'saviors'?" Yet one response to this, the individual just looks away, gaining a sigh from the guy before he turns back towards a miniature pod being dropped before them all, watching as it lands and opens to reveal the crew of the Castle of Lions except for their mechanic.

"You don't know how glad we are to see some friendly faces." He began, space wrench in hand. "Most folks don't want to get the shoes up with anyone who's on the run from the Galra." As he spoke, he watched as they all approached him yet amping them, the one to have gained Naruto's attention was the third one sitting quietly and looking away.

"So, you guys are fighting the Galra?" Keith finally asked, intrigued what made them enemies of them.

"Well, I don't think Zarkon is exactly quaking in his boots at the four of us." He proceeds to point at the other three behind him. "I'm Rolo, this is Nyma, the cyber-unit is Beezer and the quiet one Tigress." With that introduction, all it took was a 'hey' from Nyma to reduce Lance into a love-struck idiot while Katie became mesmerized by the robot, which the two-act on it immediately unlike the others who began to sweatdrop yet Naruto just looks at Tigress, finally seeing what was causing that feeling, it wasn't her but the object laying next to her which took the form of a Sword that has a golden hilt with a stone, a turquoise-colored opal, embedded into it. The blade was light blue with markings running down it which simply intrigued Naruto who continued to stare at it yet did not go untouched by Tigress who despite not being able to see his face form the black visor could feel his stare on her weapon.

"Do you mind." She finally spoke with clear annoyance, catching Naruto off guard and confusing the others before they saw Naruto take off his helmet.

"Sorry, the design of your weapon caught my attention." He said while the others glanced at her sword that did seem different before the 'leader' spoke.

"Tig," Rolo began, looking back at the silent one wh. "I know you wanna be mysterious and all but could you lose the hood, it's rude to our saviors." A grumble was what he got before the person suddenly stood up.

"Fine." With that annoying response, she removes her hood and that caught Naruto's attention. What he saw was a cute girl, having tan-skinned and feline features. She has bluebell colored eyes. Three freckles on her cheeks, soft curving dark blonde eyebrows with her teeth being seen as fanged. Her hands were viewable as having sharp claws. Small fangs, large, black, catlike ears. She sported short, wild, spiked, dark-blonde hair.

"Um, Naruto." Shiro began, nudging the blonde who jolts. "Your staring." Instantly he looks away, now embarrassed which caused Katie to show slight annoyance before turning towards Tigress who looked back as the two just stared at each other with annoyance for two different reasons yet Tigress broke eye contact, not to look away but to look at the ship due to 'feeling' something strange coming from it...somethings sinister.
