Leia's dispare

One shot

Leia watched as Luke Skywalker walk away from the little village up in the tall trees. Her heart breaking, knowing he went to surrender. If he had stayed his presence would have led Vader to the team. She stood there crying.

Han came out a minute later, "Hey, what's going on?"

"Nothing, I just want to be alone for a little while," she said.

"Nothing? Come and tell me what's going?"

"I can't tell you."

"Could you tell, Luke? Is that who you could tell?

"I..." was all she could get out. She spun around weeping. Han sighed, and started to walk away, angry. Then stoped, "I'm sorry."

"Hold me," she said and cried.

Han and Leia went to a hut that the Ewoks had provied for the night. They need sleep, tomorrow was going hard as they tried to blow the shield generator. Han was asleep almost immedately. But she couldn't stop thinking about Luke and the revelation of who Darth Vader truly was.

She had thought she had been orphaned when Alderaan had been destroyed. Now, she had a brother and her father was one of the most evil men in the galaxy. How could he be her father? The man had tortured her and stood aside and watched as her home was destroyed.

She stated to think about the first time she had met Luke. He had burst into her prison cell, "I'm Luke Skywalker and I'm here to rescue you.!" She smiled for a brief moment at the memory. He had been an immature young man, from a backwater planet looking for adventure. He had been so impulsive, reckless and very naive. He had been forced to growup quickly.

Now, he was going to face a monster! His innocence had been lost on Bespin, when their father had cut off Luke's right hand. He was strong, she knew. He had shown just how much he had changed when they resced Han on Tatooine. And now here on Endor, he was sacrifing himself to save everyone. He had a gental heart that would give a person hope. and tried to see the good in people.

It scared her to think of what was going to happen to him. How much would this encounter would change him? Would it be for the better, or for the worst? Would he be able to save their father, as he hoped? Would he even come back? She only hoped he wouldn't get killed for his faith in their father, that he could redeem. She could barely stand the thought of losing him, the only family she had left. She had a brother, she had a family.

She pushed all of this to the back of her mind and tried to sleep. It was going to be a very hard and a long day. Closing her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
