The Ink Machine: A Leo and Alice Angel fanfic

"Above all, fear the Machine. The single rule we in the Studio tend to follow."

"Well, Alice, what's the deal with this 'machine', anyway?"

"Leo, you don't understand. It's the creation of all of us. Bendy, Boris, even myself."

Alice pushed a strand of hair back into her ear.

"A machine..that could create..beings?"

"Not beings. Well...sort of, like..inky ones."

Alice knew Leo's affiliation with machines. As a child of Hephaestus, the god of metal-working, crafts, and fire, Leo loved everything from car parts to motherboards, and as a bonus, had fire powers.

She knew that if Leo wasn't dating Calypso, he would've probably been with a machine of some sort.

Maybe.

Possibly.

Okay, not really, Alice thought.

With curly hair, a slim physique, and rosy cheeks, Leo looked like a Latino cherub.

"That's..a whole new level!" Leo's eyes lit up, now reminding Alice of a Latino cherub who got promoted. To senior angel, perhaps. "Think of it. Humanity could use this machine for amazing things. Like-"

"Stop. It's a secret, closely guarded by my Butcher Gang, Bendy, Boris, the employees, and that infernal dodo, Joey.", Alice muttered

"Did you just call him a dodo?" Leo chuckled.

Along with being able to blast fire at will, Leo had a terrible sense of humor. He's seventeen, and already making dad jokes, Alice internally grumbled. While she, turning eighteen in the next month, couldn't even giggle with other people.

"Yes. A dodo. Because it was his mess, his thoughts, his ink that started all this. But he wrote the checks, so everyone learned not to ask questions." Alice sighed, reminded of Joey, the one who drew and inked her, let her come to life.

"He seems psycho." Leo scrunched up his face. A disgusted Latino cherub, Alice thought.

"Oh, he was. He even asked the employees, even Susie, who voiced me, to donate one item from their desk every month. Said it was to 'appease the Gods'." Alice shuddered, thinking of her creator and his terrible, dark ideas.

"So, where is this machine?" Leo asked.

"Back in the old Studio."

"Aw, cool!"

Alice rubbed her temples. "Oh, you do not want to go.."

"Hey, at least we have a decent Plan B!"

"What's that?"

"If we get caught by somebody, we can set everything on fire!"

Alice groaned. "I'm not even going there."
