I apologize for the wait but as I'm sure that you all already know, things have been crazy and I have been busy with work so expect the updates to take longer sometimes but here is the chapter, keep in mind that it is short.

3rd POV

On an island completely covered in mist not much far from the coast of Kirigakure's island, we can see a man on the beach of this island, this man was Zabuza Momochi and with a tight grip from his right hand, he was defensively holding his sword Kubikiribocho, the beach was quiet besides the sound of the waves of the sea as Zabuza was trying to locate his enemy in the thick mist with both his eyes and ears.

Suddenly Zabuza hardly heard the sound of an object moving through the air at an alarming speed, he turns around and he was barely able to block the incoming attack with his sword in time, the force of

the attack was strong enough that Zabuza could feel the bones of his arms shaking.

" Got ya!." At hearing this, Zabuza received a monstrous kick to the chest that was soon followed by the sound of bones breaking and he was sent flying toward one of the boulders that were on the beach, the impact was strong enough that the boulder cracked in two pieces.

" Dammit brat, it's the second time today that you break one of my ribs," Zabuza grumbled as he gets up from his kneeling position while spitting some blood from his mouth. Zabuza's words were answered with laughter.

" You're becoming old if you're complaining about that Zabuza." the unknown person said with amusement as he calmly walks out of the mist and shows himself.

The young man was tall for his young age of 16, the man was 6 ft tall and was clearly muscular. He was wearing the uniform of the seven swordsmen of the mist, a sleeveless black shirt and matching pants, complete with a waist-guard and Kirigakure's striped wrist and leg-warmers, he was also wearing a brown sash across the front and back of his sleeveless shirt to hold Samehada in place. He was wielding Samehada with his right hand and he has Samehada lazily slung over his shoulder, the sword was mostly covered in bandages but in some places close to the tip the sword was exposing her blue scales.

" Shut it Naruto, I'm not that old you brat." Spoke Zabuza with a tick mark on his forehead as he prepares himself for the next attack.

At this Naruto couldn't help a smirk to grow on his lips. Naruto also gets in position as he offensively holds Samehada.

Suddenly Zabuza moves forward and he attacks by swinging his sword in a vertical line but Naruto was ready for that and he moves Samehada horizontally with only his right hand, the impact was strong enough that both Swordsmen felt their bones shaking, and so begin a dance of death, the collisions of the swords would meet with sparks flying around.

Zabuza Appeared to be a shade, his moves were quick and precise while also putting extra force in some of his attacks. Naruto on the other hand, to an observer he will look like a beast, his attacks were ferocious and wild. Only an experienced swordsman would notice that Naruto was using a fighting style, much less is the number of people that will recognize it. This fighting style mostly consists of aggressive attacks and if mastered, almost an impenetrable defense.

Suddenly Zabuza had to dodge to his right but he wasn't able to fully escape the sudden attack of Naruto as he had swing Samehada vertically down, the sword has gazed the left arm of Zabuza and because of the exposed Scales, Samehada had shredded a small portion of skin starting from his exposed shoulder to his forearm and after that Samehada created a small size crater at impacting the ground.

Because of the sudden pain and followed by the noticeable decrease of Chakra Zabuza was too slow to react in time as Naruto left fist came in contact with his right cheek.

The body of Zabuza was sent flying a couple of feet away from Naruto but at stopping moving the body was engulfed in white smoke and at disappearing it revealed a piece of stone from the earlier boulder.

' Kawarimi...' thought Naruto as he frowned slightly, he suddenly turns toward his right and he sees Zabuza finishing his hand-seals for a Jutsu.

" Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu!" Shouted Zabuza and a grand size dragon made of water rises from the beach and with a mighty roar it flew toward Naruto with its jaw open.

" Tch! you seem to forget Zabuza that you can't fight with ninjutsu against me!" Shouted Naruto and right before the dragon would have hit him, he slices the head of the Dragon with Samehada as the sword absorbs the chakra from the Jutsu and only ends up with being soaked from the water while not receiving any damage from it.

" And this is why I have always hated to fight against Kisame..." grumbled Zabuza while starting a new sequence of one hand-seals.

" No, you don't! you old mummy!" Shouted Naruto as he stabs Samehada against the sand and makes four hand-seals. Zabuza at seeing the four hand-seals and feeling the great amount of Chakra he curse out loud as he stops his sequence of seals.

" Suiton: Tsunami no Jutsu! " Shouts Naruto before he spits a vast amount of water and it takes the form of a grand wave of 50 feet, the Jutsu was so widespread that half of the Jutsu impact against the water of the beach while the other half creates great destruction on the land.

After the Jutsu ended, the sand of the beach was soaked while the tree line that was not much far from the beach was destroyed, all that remains was a huge area.

" Where is he..." Murmured Naruto at not seeing Zabuza anywhere, he starts to walk forward as he carefully looks around while automatically moves Samehada so that she's protecting his right side and part of his upper chest. He starts to feel for any signatures of chakra around him and the moment that he felt it, his eyes widened in surprise, and as fast as he could he turns around ready to cut Zabuza in half from his waist, but it was too late.

The moment that Naruto was halfway turned Zabuza appeared out of the mist and with a strong slash with his sword he injured Naruto by performing a gash starting from Naruto's left shoulder and toward halfway through his right waist.

Grunting in agony and gritting his teeth Naruto pushes through the pain and slashes at Zabuza intending to cut him in half but thanks to Zabuza's reflexes he was able to leap back just in time but Samehada was still able to shred some of his skin on his left waist, leaving a gash behind.

Both opponents leap back to put some distance between them and to inspect their injury while also keeping their enemy in sight.

' Shit! I'm halfway through my reserves of chakra and I have barely used any Jutsus in the last hour.' Thought Zabuza as he grunts in pain from his wounds, besides the new gash on his waist and the previous one on his left arm, he knows that he has two broken ribs and a fractured right leg and that's not mentioning all the hits that he took early from fighting against Naruto in taijutsu.

Suddenly Zabuza was pulled out of his thoughts as he hears Naruto laughing abruptly.

" What are you laughing at brat," said Zabuza while getting ready in case he needs to dodge from an attack.

" Zabuza, we have trained together and fought each other for the last four years and this end with us knowing each other strengths and weaknesses, we could fight for hours but we both know that unlike me, you can't heal your wounds and neither your reserves of chakra are large enough to fight me endlessly." Says Naruto while grinning at Zabuza as Samehada starts quivering slightly and blue charka could be seen flowing through the handle of the sword and toward the hand of Naruto.

Suddenly the large gash that Zabuza left behind from his surprising attack from early starts being engulfed in the same blue chakra and it starts to visibly heal itself at a great speed, not many seconds later the gash disappeared without leaving a scar behind, the only proof of its existence was the blood around the area and the gash through the shirt.

" Fuck you Naruto, it was fun beating you around at first but now it's just a pain in the ass fighting against you," Zabuza said toward the blond shinobi as he knew that what the younger shinobi said was true, while his reserves of charka were fairly large for an S class shinobi, compared to the reserves of chakra of Naruto, Zabuza knew that he was more like a lake against the sea. Naruto's only response was snickering.

" Do you surrender? or it's going to be the hard way ?" Spoke Naruto, he knew that Zabuza would probably keep fighting but it wouldn't hurt in trying.

" Not in your lifetime brat!" Shouted Zabuza as he rushed toward Naruto and once again they start their dance of death. Every wound that Zabuza would perform toward Naruto would heal not many seconds after being delivered and the blonde would pay back with a swing of Samehada that Zabuza would mostly block or dodge at the last second but those that he wasn't able to evade or stop would leave a gash behind.

Suddenly Zabuza leaps back and if he were to be one second slower he would have lost his head, immediately after he moves his sword so that it was resting against the neck of Naruto.

" Got you! now yield before you lose your head." Said Zabuza while smirking at the situation of Naruto, but he was confused when Naruto only smiled in amusement.

" You're forgetting something Zabuza." Simply muttered Naruto clearly in entertainment.

" And what is that brat." Grumbled Zabuza irritated at the behavior of Naruto. Suddenly he felt a presence behind him and Zabuza felt his body stiffened while his eyes widened in shock as a weight was put on his right shoulder and Samehada became visible at the corner of his right eye.

The upper half of Samehada was exposed as the bandages from early were left in pieces after so many hits with Kubikiribocho and because of this, the scales of Samehada were directly making contact with Zabuza. The scales that weren't touching Zabuza start to shudder as the sword itself starts to growl as a warning to not make any funny movement.

Zabuza slowly turns his head to his left so that he was looking at Naruto over his shoulder with his left eye and he was greeted with the sight of Naruto grinning face.

"That I am the shark, and you, my friend are my prey." Spoke Naruto.

The Naruto that was in front of Zabuza suddenly dissolved in water, showing that it was a water clone.

" Now Zabuza, you are at a disadvantage. It doesn't matter how fast you move, you won't save yourself because I will just swing Samehada in a diagonal line and that will end with you shredded in half. Furthermore, I'm sure that you can feel Samehada slowly draining you of your chakra. Now, yield." said Naruto while smirking.

Zabuza realizing that he doesn't have any other choice he decides to nod his head in defeat. Naruto seeing his sensei giving up he moves away Samehada and lazily rests her on his right shoulder.

" See? that wasn't hard was it?" Said Naruto still smirking.

" Fuck you Naruto, Now help me walk as my right leg it's fractured." Grumbled Zabuza while putting his sword on his back thanks to the belt that he was wearing across his chest and back.

" No need to curse, old man." Chuckle Naruto before placing the uninjured arm of Zabuza around his shoulder to support Zabuza and they start walking back to their camp as it was half an hour away from their current location.

While they were walking, Naruto couldn't help but reminisce about all the things that have happened in the last four years.

The start of his training with Zabuza was hell but it was worth it as it did help him become more powerful then he could ever imagine.

The first year of training was only about his control of chakra and Zabuza teaching him what he knew of the fighting style of Kisame, the dancing shark.

In the second year of training, Zabuza had him go through insane and brutal physical training so that he would become faster and stronger and so that he could wield Samehada with easy as the sword itself was as heavy as the Kubikiribocho. Zabuza had also decided to teach him the Hidden Mist's Silent Killing fighting style and Naruto came to respect Zabuza even more as he realized just how powerful he was. Naruto was able to master the silent killing fighting style thanks to Zabuza and both were on the same level of mastery.

It was also around this time that Naruto finally could communicate with Samehada. Samehada could speak with Naruto in his mind thanks to their bond but this rarely happens as the sword prefer to speak out loud and only Naruto could understand what she would say as she has the voice of a woman while other people will only hear Samehada growling and her scales shivering.

Samehada also starts to teach Naruto the remaining things that he still has to learn about the style of the dancing shark.

The third-year was about Naruto learning new Jutsu of water and working over his sword style. But the most important thing that has happened not long before the end of the third year is Samehada teaching Naruto about the Water Prison Shark Dance Technique and how they could fuse for an amount of time.

It took a while but when Naruto was finally able to master both the technique and the fusion, he had become powerful enough that Zabuza started to worry about his safety when sparring against the blond.

Naruto could fuse fully to further increase his power, expanding his shark-like appearance, growing fins, and a shark tail, webbed hands that allow him to move through water with considerable ease and he also changes to the same blue color of skin that Kisame was known for.

When fused with Samehada, he gains the ability to breathe underwater using gills that form on his neck. While using his Water Prison Shark Dance Technique, he could take full advantage of that ability by drowning his opponents while remaining unharmed. In this form, he can sense other people's chakra, and absorb it just by touching the foe with any part of his body. He's also able to extend spikes from his body for defense and his nails grow into claws that can cut through steel and shred people into pieces.

As a reward, Samehada gave another increase of chakra to Naruto and after he had to go over the insane training of charka control over his now monstrous reserves of chakra that Kisame had before his death Samehada taught him how to become a shark.

A technique that not many wielders of Samehada knew, not even Kisame. After learning it and transforming for the first time on the beach, Naruto discovered that his shark form was that of a great white shark, but what shocked both him and Zabuza was that he was 21 ft big. Naruto decided to use that form when he needs to do some espionage where there is some water or when using the Water Prison Shark Dance Technique.

The last year of training was for him to master all the things that he has learned in the last four years.

One more thing is that since the beginning of his training Yagura would send some missions for Naruto to complete and to judge his improvement, the more powerful he got and time passes the more difficult and dangerous the mission would become.

It wasn't until three days ago that he finished completing his now number 23 class S mission. Naruto was pulled out of his thoughts by the voice of Zabuza.

" What are you thinking about so much brat?." questioned Zabuza while looking at Naruto.

" Just thinking about all the things that have transpired in these years of training." Replied Naruto without turning to look at Zabuza.

" Whatever..." grumbled Zabuza.

After the long walk, the two mist shinobi arrived back in their camp and Naruto laid Zabuza against one of the boulders of the beach, Naruto used Samehada so that she could return some of the chakra to Zabuza that she had absorbed early from him while also healing most of his injuries except for some small cuts.

After that both shinobi took a seat around the fire as Naruto start cooking some fishes. The camp was filled with Silence until Zabuza broke it.

" In three days we will go back to

Kiri." Zabuza said while examining Kubikiribocho for any fracture that the sword might have taken while clashing against Samehada.

" Finally, while it hasn't been that bad staying here for the last four years, I do miss our village," Naruto said simply while he was making sure that the fishes were being well cooked.

Zabuza's only answer to Naruto's words was only a nod and grunt in agreement.

" Once we reach home we will go to Yagura's office and then he will inform you of your last test before you officially become a member of the seven swordsmen of the mist," Zabuza told Naruto while putting his sword away as he gets ready to serve the fishes as they were almost ready.

" Well, I'm sure that I will be able to handle anything that Yagura will throw at me," Naruto said while drinking some of the water that they had.

" You better be, we didn't waste four years of training just for you to fuck it up now." Grumbled Zabuza.

" Don't worry old man, I won't fail," Naruto said while smirking at Zabuza.

And so they stop talking as they start eating the now cook fish.

Konoha - Uzumaki household.

3rd POV

In the living room, Kushina and Mikoto were sitting on one of the couches that were in the large room.

They have been talking about their day and the things that have occurred with their children recently. After Mikoto finished narrating about the recent actions of her oldest child both women fall silent as they each get lost in their thoughts.

Much has happened in the last four years, Mikoto has divorced Fugaku and she has been living in the house where she has spent most of her childhood, the house of her parents in the Uchiha district.

She would get visits from her children and some of her friends and associated people of her clan, besides that, she would spend most of her time with Kushina and her children when not in missions.

Suddenly she was brought out of her thoughts by her best friend.

" It's still surprising knowing how you feel toward Naruto..." Murmured Kushina while looking outside one of the windows.

Mikoto at hearing this couldn't help but get embarrassed while she lowers her gaze on her lap.

When Mikoto told Kushina about her encounter with Kushina's oldest child four years ago, neither to say that Kushina was shocked and angered with Mikoto.

But that was nothing compared to the shock and anger that Kushina had when Mikoto told her about her growing attraction and feelings toward Naruto six months later.

Both didn't talk to each other for one month and it wasn't until Mikoto had enough and confronted Kushina about it, in the end, Kushina stopped being mad at the Uchiha but it was still hard for her to accept that her Best friend and godmother of her child has a growing attraction toward the said child.

Kushina turns to look at Mikoto after realizing that she has spoken out loud and she sighs at seeing Mikoto's reaction.

" Stop it Mikoto, I have long forgiven you, it's just hard to think about it," Kushina said toward the ashamed Uchiha.

" I know Kushina, believe me when I say that if I could stop having these feelings I would, but I just can't," Mikoto told the redhead while she sighs in exasperation.

Kushina nods her head in acknowledgment and she was about to say something when suddenly the front door was open and shortly closed, soon it was followed by the sound of two pair of footsteps and around the corner of the living room soon appears...
