Author note: A little late to the party, but April 10 2018 was the anniversary of MK:Wii, my favorite Mario Kart.

2008, the year was great

Mario Kart Wii made its mark

Now my friends are irate!

Verses matches and tournaments

Not that the VR mattered…

This is for you, hacker online

You ravaged matches with stars and wasted time

Or were the 'hilarious' YouTube compilation videos your place to shine?

Metagame

Extra top speed was the stat to beat

Funky Kong/ Flame Runner, Daisy/ Mach Bike

In a 9999 VR room, was it worth the fight?

Wii Wheel

Tilt left, you dodge a shell

Tilt right, you pass a banana

Tilt up, nothing happens and then you fell!

Unlockables

50cc, Baby Daisy soars

100cc, and Bowser Junior is yours

150cc, Dry Bowser roars

Mirror mode, the game is done and now you're bored!

Staff Ghosts

Tricky computers to beat

Apparitions of Nintendo employees

The Mii costume reward was neat…

Gamecube Controller

One of the best ways to play

Comfortable and easy in your hands all day

Very expensive to purchase now on Ebay!
