What's going on, everyone?! The 3rd dragneel, coming back with another chapter of Saiyaman Plus Ultra from my house during quarantine. I hope everyone is doing well, especially those living in California as our date of quarantine has just increased to May, which I find crazy. I get they want to hold back the spread of the coronavirus, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if riots began to bloom. Still, I have to post chapters to prevent myself and some of you from going insane(joking, of course).

But let's try not to get depressed here. ONTO THE REVIEWS!

Mastercheif1229: Thanks!

RHatch89: Thanks man.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Hey, despite being a pervert, Master Roshi continues to prove to be a badass mentor, WAY better than Mineta. Saying the last chapter was the best… kind of a stretch. Honestly, I enjoyed the chapter Gohan and All Might tagged teamed in more, but thanks.

Mr Nail: To be honest: I thought Bakugo's speech was a bit of a dick move considering he basically had everyone else target Class 1-A. I know, right? I had this idea of him and Present Mic being brothers for a while, and having him guest appear in the Sports Festival felt like the best place. I still don't really get how Shinso got in the top ten most popular MHA characters like that one year, but I guess one arc is enough for some people. Oh believe me my friend, this Sports Festival will be a LOT different.

T-Biggz: You know, you bring an interesting point. I do have some DBZ characters owning quirks, like Launch having a persona quirk and such. It just took me a while to think of that, ya know?

SuperSaiyajin4Vegeta: You're not wrong about Tien. I love Krillin, but Tien continues to push himself, even if he can't reach a higher level.

StarDustDragonknight: Glad to see you liked the last chapter and this one will be even more intense.

Kage-kitsune9001: Bro, you watch DBZ abridged to? A man of culture.

Unknownguythatsaperson: If they don't like it, that's fine. But they could at least tell me how to make this story better. I wouldn't say Saiya Clips are Canon, more like a parody of this story as a whole(and yeah, I suppose Izuku DID wreck Shigaraki). That 2nd question… you hit the nail of the effing head. And for the 3rd one… come on, do you NOT see how Chiaotzu basically acts like Tien's hype man? I don't hate the guy, but it would make sense to make him one.

Aztec 13: You'll have to continue to read in order to see if your question will be answered.

Greer123: Thanks.

Eboy: Thing is… it's the hair. When the Cell Games were broadcasted, they saw 4 BLONDE warriors. I guess this is a lazy explaination, but a lot of people are dumb not to look into that. For that idea on Cell being a plot device… I don't know, honestly. Message me so we could pitch ideas to one another. There will be multiple flashbacks throughout the story to explain some things. Android 21 WILL be explained and she does NOT have any Majin DNA. As for DBZ characters getting involved… you can beat your ass they will cause I want them to shine in a world without Goku. Hey, NEVER apologize for being a fanboy. Embrace it.

Storylover1987: Glad you liked Tien's introduction since I feel like this is the kind of story he can shine in.

X3runner: I will consider Gohan vs Shinso, though you will have to give me time to consider how some of the fights will function. As for Bulma and Momo… I can't say anything now~ THANK YOU FOR HATING RISE OF SKYWALKER TOO! THAT MOVIE WAS COMPLETE TRASH!

DRAGONDAVE45: I do have an idea of someone else Izuku can intern with since having him with Gran Torino now might be kind of a waste(not hating the old man, of course). I like Ryukui too, bro. I do too.

To recap the last chapter: The Sports Festival has finally begun as the students of Class 1-A prepare for the events, though Gohan and Izuku were caught off guard by Shoto Todoroki's declaration of battle. Meanwhile, Chi-Chi, Goten and the rest of the Z-Fighters arrive to cheer Gohan on, along with Present Mic's older brother, who will act as a guest spectator. As every other class at UA marched onto the field, Gohan was called out to give an opening speech, which he used to encourage everyone to give this tournament everything they had.

How will things end with the first event of the Sports Festival? Let's find out…

"The first game of the Sports Festival is… an obstacle course!" Midnight called out as she pointed at the screen, which showed an image of a stick figure running while the words for 'Obstacle Course' appeared in japanese. "Students from every class will all participate in this arousing event, full of traps and other surprises that'll have you quaking in your boots!" Waving her tassel, Midnight continued as the screen showcased a large circle with a stick figure running around it. "The track is four kilometers around the outside of the stadium. As long as you stay on the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires. Although, if you go out of line…" She licked her lips before smiling at the students. "Then I'll have to PERSONALLY restrain you."

"... You know, I don't know if I want Trunks coming here now." Bulma couldn't help but say while covering her son's eyes, much to his irritation.

"He he, you can do anything to me, Midnight! I'm right up here!" Roshi called out while standing up and waving his arms, getting looks from the other spectators.

"Idiots…" Vegeta muttered to himself before he looked down to the students, specifically Gohan. 'You had better not disappoint the Saiyan race, boy.'

Meanwhile, the other UA teachers were looking down at their students, curious to see how they would do.

"Aizawa might have some strong students, but my kids know how to push their limits." Vlad King, homeroom teacher of Class 1-B, said to no one in particular, his fang-like teeth poking out of his mouth as he crossed his arms.

"So, who do you think will reach the finish line first?" Triado asked Toshinori, who put his hands in a triangle-like formation in thought. He didn't respond to her question, making her frown a bit. "All Might?"

"Hmm?" Toshinori asked as he turned around, only to notice Triado's blue eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't listening."

"Is everything alright? You looked deep in thought." Triado questioned the number one hero, who chuckled a bit.

"You caught me. I guess I'm just anxious." Toshinori admitted as he looked at the students gathering near the starting line. "This is my first year teaching and I see so much potential in Class 1-A, especially young Gohan and Midoriya. I can't choose any favorites because I want to be fair. But at the same time, I'm worried that some will outshine the others and they won't be able to show what they have." The skeletal man then shook his head. "I sound ridiculous, don't I?"

"No, you sound caring." Krillin spoke up next to Toshinori, getting his and Triado's attention. The former Z-Fighter smiled as he put his hands on his lap. "Worrying about your students while also wanting them to give it their all is something all teachers want, and believe me, I know how you feel. But in the end, it's not our choice what will happen. All we can do is trust our kids and let them go Plus Ultra." His smile then turned nostalgic as he sat back a little. "Kinda reminds me of when I was starting to train in martial arts. Sure my teacher was a bit… different, but he still cared about me and my friend, so I want to make sure I'm doing the same for them."

Both teachers took in all of Krillin's words to heart and couldn't find any reason to disagree with him. They may be teaching the students everything they could, but in the end, the students were the ones who needed to prove themselves without their help. So with proud smiles, Toshinori and Triado watched on, giving their silent blessings to their class.

'Back with the students'

Each and every first year students were gathered in front of the large red gate, which had three green lights on top of it to signal the start of the first event. Many of them were beyond nervous, yet the rest donned determined expressions. Given how motivating Gohan's speech was, it was easy to see why they felt confident in going forward.

One such student was Izuku Midoriya, who stood next to his half human, half Saiyan friend with narrowed eyes. 'This is it. There's no turning back now. I have to prove myself.' Izuku thought to himself as he got into a running stance, fingers twitching anxiously. 'I have to be smart about using One for All, even with the new power I gained from it. The Ki training I did with Gohan helped, but I shouldn't rely on it too much. Otherwise, I won't be proving anything.'

One green light turned off.

"Izuku…" Gohan whispered, breaking Izuku out of his thoughts as he turned his head, staring at Gohan's smiling face. "Good luck. I know you'll do your best."

"You too." Izuku replied back with a smile before he raised a fist towards the son of Goku. "See you in the finals."

The second green light turned off.

Gohan's smile grew as he reached out and fistbumped Izuku.

"Go Beyond…" They both said in unison.

And then… the third light turned off.

"BEGIN!" Midnight shouted as loud as she could through her mic.

"PLUS ULTRA!"

At that very moment, the students of UA began running through the gate.

Or rather, that would be the case… had it not been for one major flaw.

"HOLY CRAP, IT'S SO CROWDED!" One of the students called out before getting an elbow to the face, courtesy of the rather cramped space within the gate. Due to the number of students actually participating in the obstacle course, actually getting out to run proved to be very difficult.

"Would you look at that? The students were so jazzed up to race, they didn't even realize the first trap set: the dreaded hallway!" Present Mic called out dramatically.

"Because they don't have enough room, our competitors will not only stay in place, but their Quirk use has been severely limited. What will they do?!" Hirotaka added while covering his eyes, as if it was too intense to see. Aizawa gave them a glare before looking back to the event.

*WHOOSH*

Just as the first wave of students were about to get out, a large wave of ice suddenly emerged from the halls, engulfing the floor and ceiling in ice. Running in front of everyone was none other than Class 1-A's cool guy, Shoto Todoroki, who sprinted on the ice like it was nothing.

"Apologises." Was all he said, not even looking back as he kept running.

"HEY!"

"S-So c-cold…"

The students, unfortunate enough to be next to the son of Endeavor, had their feet frozen in ice, preventing them from moving at all. Tried as they might, they couldn't free themselves from his Quirk.

"RAGH!" However, some students were actually able to break free by leaping in the air. The more notable ones include Katsuki Bakugo, Eijiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, Ulrich Stern, Fumikage Tokoyami and a few others.

"You won't get away this time, Icy Hot Bastard!" Bakugo called out in anger as more explosions erupted from his palms, allowing him to 'fly' forward.

*Zoom*

However, an unseeable force caused him to stumble a bit, forcing him to unleash a second explosion to stablize himself. "What the?!"

"Excuse me!" Gohan called out as he rushed past the other students in the blink of an eye. He was so fast that he even passed Todoroki, but not before giving him a quick greeting. "Hi, Shoto! Bye, Shoto!"

"WOAH! Check out this plot twist! Class 1-A's Son Gohan is actually outrunning everyone!" Present Mic called out from his mic.

"And all without using his Quirk. Remember to stay healthy, everyone and you'll be like Son in no time!" Hirotaka commented as the crowd cheered loudly.

"THAT'S MY BOY! KEEP GOING, BABY!" Chi-Chi cheered as loud as she could, standing up and waving her arms as if Gohan would be able to hear her. Due to the volume of her voice, plus the cheers of everyone else, Piccolo scrunched his face in pain.

"Jeez, you think Golith over there chugged down a super espresso before all this!" Odd called out while jumping off student to student, trying his best not to land on the ice. His eyes widened as he saw a cloud of smoke zoom past him. "Okay… That's actually pretty cool."

'Okay, so far so good. I'm putting distance between myself and everyone else.' Gohan thought as he continued to run, though he did slow down a bit out of slight curiosity for the traps. 'Flying would be easier, but that wouldn't be fair to everyone. Plus, it's good to train my legs with a-'

*CRACK*

The son of Goku was pulled out of his thoughts as the ground suddenly broke open, with the head of one of the robots from the Practical Exam standing up tall, its red eyes scanning the area. "TARGET ACQUIRED. TERMINATE THEM." The robot said in a monotone voice as more robots appeared.

"SO COOL!"Goten and Trunks said in unison. It was just like that super heroes show with the colored uniforms and the giant robot fights, only this time, it was real.

"Wowzer! UA really knows how to go all out, don't they? Aren't they worried their kids will be killed?" Oolong couldn't help but blurt out as he looked at the robots on screen with surprised eyes. He understood that this school trained their kids to master their powers, but aren't the killer robots a bit overboard?

"In a shocking turn of events, enemy robots have come out of nowhere! Now we get to see how the competitors get through!" Hirotaka said while clenching his fist and standing on the desk.

"Get down or you'll break it." Aizawa said in a deeply serious tone, making the brother of Present Mic sit back down.

"Yes sir." Hirotaka said timidly. His little brother just laughed at his misery.

"Test robots? Not a problem!" Gohan said with a confident smirk before he leaped in the air, dodging one of the robot's arms from crushing him. As he turned around to fire a Ki blast, a thought occurred in his mind 'I should probably keep a few robots and traps around for the others. Wouldn't be much of a contest if there wasn't anything to stop them.' With that, he fired a low powered Ki blast into the back of one of the robot's heads, causing it to explode and fall on the ground. Landing on his feet, Gohan continued to run ahead of everyone else.

"I HATE HOW MANLY THAT SHOT WAS! DON'T THINK YOU'LL WIN!" The teen from before, known as Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, shouted in pride before his right arm turned to steel. He let out a battle cry and he slammed his fist into another robot's extended palm, breaking right through it.

"Energy Field!" A pink energy sphere struck the robot in the head, causing it to malfunction before falling over. Tetsutetsu looked at it in shock before more students ran past him, with Aelita giving him a wave. "Sorry!"

"What-But… I had it!" Tetsutetsu called out before the orange haired girl, named Itsuka Kendo, slapped his back.

"Come on! You can yell at them later!" Kendo said before her classmate followed suit.

"They clearly went through a lot of trouble to make this." Todoroki said calmly before he placed a hand on the ground, covering the area around him in ice. "But I wish they prepared something that would be a little more difficult." One of the robots noticed what he was doing and moved in to crush him. "Especially since my dear-old dad is watching." With that, he unleashed a massive wave of pure ice, covering the robot completely. Seeing his work done, Todoroki breathed down his arm, as if showboating his power, despite only using half of it.

'The kid's got talent. But the way he uses his ice limits his abilities. If someone stopped his right arm from touching the ground, then he'd be dead.' Piccolo thought as he watched Todoroki move on. One benefit to coming here was seeing what kinds of Quirks these kids had, which beat meditating all day. More and more of the students were getting by, either destroying the Zero Point robots or simply getting past them with their Quirks. Piccolo had to admit: these kids definitely trained hard to master their Quirks… only to sweatdrop as the short teen with balls for hair was smacked away.

'The other classes aren't doing bad, but Class 1-A's moving ahead of all of them.' Aizawa thought, ignoring Present Mic and Hirotaka's rants. 'They learned not to hesitate and because of that, they're able to push forward. Because of the USJ Incident, they know the fears of facing villains, yet they fight past that to keep moving to stay alive.'

Mashiro Ojiro smacked a robot with his big tail.

Kyoka Jiro was sending waves of sounds into the robots with her earphones jacks.

Odd Della Robba was luring the robots towards him before Denki Kaminari shocked it, prompting the two to fist bump.

Tenya Iida kicked another robot hard in the chestplate, ripping it in half.

"DIE!" Bakugo shouted as he slammed a palm on yet another unfortunate robot, blasting it with a close range explosion. He was so confident about his 'kill', that he failed to notice a robot about to strike him from behind…

*SLAM*

Only for a flash of green electricity to zip towards the robot, with a fist slamming against its head. "SMASH!" The robot's head was completely ripped off, with the rest of the body to fall back.

"Huh?!" Bakugo slowly turned his head, only to catch a glimpse of green before it rushed past him. Both he and the rest of Class 1-A were shocked to see what was happening.

Izuku Midoriya, the glass cannon of the entire class, was running at blistering speed, with green electricity running all over his body.

"Woah, didn't see that coming." Krillin said in a surprised tone, with Triado nodded in response.

Unbeknownst to them, Toshinori was smiling proudly at his pupil.

'Flashback, a few days ago'

"Holy shit, kid." Was all Toshinori could say as he looked at Izuku, who was covered in bright green electricity. This was definitely something the number one hero wasn't expecting, especially since Izuku barely had control using a Smash attack before. He was just full of surprises at this point.

"I… can't… hold this… for long…" Izuku said in a strained voice as he struggled to keep this new power activated. Honestly, the face he was making resembled that of someone who wanted to go to the bathroom after a long time of waiting. After a full minute of holding it, Izuku finally let go, stopping the flow of green electricity. "Sorry… I couldn't hold it."

"No, that's fine. But how were you able to do this? Did it have something to do with your Ki training with young Gohan?" Toshinori questioned curiously. He needed to know as much new information about One For All as possible, especially since it evolved at a rapid pace.

"Kind of. It's like how Gohan explained Ki.' Izuku started to explain as he looked at his hands. "He said Ki flows inside everyone and a few people are able to bring it out. So it got me thinking about how you always used One For All through your entire body to run, jump and fight. I knew I wouldn't be able to train like you, so I started thinking about different ways to use One For All without damaging my body, and that's where this new power came from." He then smiled before clenching his fist. "I call it Full Cowling."

"Not a bad name. Have you tested it out?" Toshinori asked with a raised brow, only for Izuku to deflate a bit.

"That's the problem. I'm able to use One For All through my body, but it's like my body gets tightened up. I can barely move a finger, let alone fight." Izuku said with a sad sigh before he looked at his idol with slightly pleading eyes. "That's why I wanted to know if you could… watch me while I use Full Cowling. Just for a few minutes so I can get some pointers on how to improve. I know we're both busy with UA, but since the Sports Festival's coming up and the fact that we don't have a lot of breaks, I thought-"

"Midoriya, it's okay." Toshinori cut him off while raising his hands up and down. "I'll be honest: it's unfair that I haven't trained you." Izuku opened his mouth to protest, but Toshinori stopped him yet again. "I know what you're going to say, but it's true. Maybe it's because of what happened with my teacher, but I should've kept training you with One For All. But…" Toshinori's body grew to his muscular form, smiling down at Izuku. "NOT ANYMORE! LET US BEGIN OUR TRAINING!"

'Flashback end'

'You're moving on your way, young Midoriya. And I couldn't be prouder.' Toshinori thought, his proud smile growing even more as he saw Izuku smash another robot with a powerful kick. 'By using One For One all over your body, you won't break any of your bones.'

'I might be able to move faster with Full Cowling, but I can't overdo it.' Izuku thought as he leaped past the other students, similarly to the way Bakugo moved in the air. 'Even with this power boost, I can still only use about 5% of One For All, so I shouldn't use it for too long.' Noticing a green armor plate on the ground, Izuku came up with an idea. 'Maybe that could work.' Quickly rushing over to the armor plate, Izuku grabbed it and used it as a shield just as one of the robots were about to strike him from behind. Pushing it back, Izuku then swung his makeshift shield and cut the robot in half. A smile broke out on his face as he looked at his weapon.

"Nice one, Greenie! Let's go!" Odd shouted while running past Izuku, giving him a slap on the back out of congratulations. Realizing how much more he had to run, Izuku followed along, with his shield on his back.

'Meanwhile with Gohan'

"Huh. They really are trying to make it hard for everyone." Gohan said with a raised brow as he stared at the rather large gorge in the middle of the Obstacle Course. It didn't look too deep, but it was big enough to trap anyone who fell in it for a while. On the bright side, there was a tightrope that could be used to cross it, along with several pillars to jump on, though students would need to be careful when getting on them.

"Woah, nice hole, huh?" A cool voice called out next to Gohan, prompting him to turn around. The black haired teen from 1-B stood next to him, looking at the gorge with interest. "Gotta wonder how long it took them to make this. Then again, we have Power Loader, so it makes sense."

"Yeah, I guess it does." Gohan said while rubbing the back of his head. "So, how far is everyone else?"

"They should be here in a minute or two." The teen said nonchalantly. "By the way, name's Dunbar. William Dunbar."

"Oh, nice to meet you." Gohan said as he and William shook hands. "So, do you have a plan on crossing?" At this, William gave Gohan a smirk while rolling his arm.

"Check this out." William said in a confident tone before he took a deep breath, standing as straight as a pencil… before his whole body turned into a cloud of black smoke, prompting him to move on the ground like a snake. Gohan widened his eyes a bit as he saw William's smoke body move on the line in between the gorge, moving from pillar to pillar before reaching the other side, allowing him to materialize and salute Gohan. "Chao." With that, the student for 1-B ran ahead, leaving behind an impressed Gohan.

"Well that was different." Gohan said with a smile before Bakugo and Todoroki passed him via their quirks.

'With the audience'

"In a shocking turn of events, Son Gohan is slowing down and letting Dunbar of Class 1-B, as well as Todoroki and Bakugo from 1-A pass him! I wonder what his plan is?" Present Mic announced as the audience watched in confusion.

Though for a certain Saiyan Prince, he was anything but confused.

"WHAT IS THAT IDIOTIC HALF BREED DOING?! WHY ISN'T HE FLYING?!" Vegeta's scream echoed through the stands, even reaching the announcer's box. A vein was visible on his forehead as he stood up. "DON'T YOU HAVE ANY PRIDE?!"

"Excuse me? Can you please not yell? We're trying to see our son participate." One of the patrons in front of the Z-Fighters asked with clear irritation in his voice. But as the man turned around, he came face to face with a VERY ticked off Saiyan, who despite being shorter than him, glared daggers into his very soul. "R-Right. Sorry."

"Vegeta…" Bulma said with a threatening tone, giving Vegeta a deep glare. Seeing this, the prince of Saiyans just scoffed before sitting down.

"Mom, why isn't Gohan running?" Goten asked his mother innocently.

"I don't know, sweetie. But I know your brother won't lose." Chi-Chi told her youngest song with a warm smile. Her smile wavered a bit as she returned her gaze to the screen. 'Gohan…'

'He doesn't want to outshine everyone. All he wants to do is give everyone else a chance.' Roshi thought to himself before a smile grew on his face. 'He's so much like Goku, it's impressive.'

"Is no one going to talk about the kids crossing that hole? Really?" Oolong asked everyone, only to get no response, making him sigh. "Seriously, what's wrong with you people?"

'Back with the students'

"Okay, do they REALLY want us to cross this?!" Sato cried out as he and the rest of the students all looked down the seemingly endless gorge.

"So, who wants to go first?" Yumi asked while gesturing towards the tightrope. Tsu, without a hint of fear on her face, hopped onto the tightrope and climbed on it.

"This is a great way to show what I can do." Tsu said confidently as she moved forward.

"Wait up!" Odd said with a big grin as he too jumped onto the tightrope, only instead of climbing it like Tsu, he hung down, casually moving forward like he was hanging on monkey bars.

"Okay, that's just unfair." Mina whined before she turned towards Gohan, who stood in place with a smile. "What about you? Can't you fly?"

"I could. But I like running too. Does anyone need a lift?" Gohan offered the students, getting mixed reactions from a large majority of them.

"I do! I do!" Toru cheered before she jumped onto Gohan's back, wrapping her arms around his neck. She looked back to see the looks her classmates were giving her, making her shrug. "Hey, he offered."

"Just hold on." Gohan said with a chuckle as he gently grabbed her thighs before he took a few steps back, making sure to make as much distance as he could. Once he was at a good enough distance, the son of Goku rushed forward, leaving a large dust cloud to appear behind him. Once his feet reached the edge, Gohan leaped high in the air, shocking everyone aside from his class at the height he and Toru were going. Speaking of Toru…

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The invisible girl of 1-A screamed as loud as her lungs could, both in surprise by the height they were in and joy as it was kind of like an amusement park ride. They flew over the entire gorge, landing right on the order side, yet to Gohan, it was nothing. "Oh my god, that was so awesome!"

"Glad you liked it." Gohan said as he allowed Toru to stand on her own two feet. "Good luck with the rest of the race." And with that, he rushed ahead to catch up with his classmates, unintentionally blasting Toru with a dust cloud.

"JERK!" Toru called out while raising an invisible fist before she chased after him, though due to her invisible nature, no one could tell she was smiling.

"Man, now that's manly!" Kirishima exclaimed before he and the others began rushing ahead, though a certain black haired girl felt a hint of anger at what she saw.

"Focus, Momo. Just keep moving ahead." Momo told herself before placing a hand on her arm, allowing her Quirk to form a grapple gun, shooting it forward to move ahead.

"Hehehehe, So that's the famous Yaoyorozu. Her Creation Quirk is really impressive." A girl with pink hair styled in dreadlocks, goggles covering her yellow cross-shaped eyes and multiple tools on her belt said with glee. Her goggles shined from the sunlight while putting her hands on her hips. "But it's nothing compared to my babies!"

"Umm, Hatsume? Are you sure you tested the grapple launcher's capabilities? Last time, the rope snapped and you almost stabbed me." A male teen with blonde hair and glasses asked the girl with some concern in her voice.

"Ah ah ah, Belpois. What almost killed you was a prototype. But this…" Hatsume patted on the device on her waist. "Is the Grapple Launcher Mark II. Watch!" Pressing a button on the device, a small steel arrow ejected out of the side. Aiming it towards one of the pillars, Hatsume fired the arrow, allowing it to sail in the air, with a thin line tied to the end of it. The arrow pierced through the side of one of the pillars, allowing Hatsume to tug on it to ensure it was secure. "See? Works like a charm. Need a hand?"

"A hand?" Belpois asked in confusion before Hatsume grabbed his arm and pulled him close, allowing her to wrap one of her arms around his body. "Wait! I'm not sure If I'm ready for thIIIISSSSS!" With a big grin, Hatsume pressed the button on her device, allowing both her and her classmate to soar in the air. Getting over their initial shock, the rest of the students began moving forward, whether using the lines provided to inch through over even using their Quirks to fly.

Little did they know, the last obstacle was the most insane of them all.

"And just like that, we've reached the final obstacle: the MineField!" Present Mic announced as Dunbar, Todoroki and Bakugo arrived at the last part of the Obstacle Course, which was a pure dirt road with large signs that said "DANGER MINES!" on the side.

"Students will need to tread carefully or else they'll be BLOWN out of the competition!" Hirotaka added before he covered his mic and whispered to his brother. "Those mines won't actually kill them, right?"

"Of course not." Aizawa answered the older of the two brothers. "The explosives aren't strong enough to hurt anyone. At best, they'll just be sent flying, but that's not the point of this exercise."

"But it's strong enough to make them wet their pants!" Present Mic shouted, getting cheers from the audience.

"Okay, I can handle robots and a big hole, but MINES?! WHO THOUGHT OF THIS CRAP?!" Oolong shouted while pulling on his ears out of insanity. Was the principal some kind of sadist or what?

"Gohan can handle it." Piccolo said simply, getting a look from Oolong. "I trained him in the wild for a year."

"And I had Goku and Krillin deliver milk and outswim sharks when they trained under me." Roshi added.

"And I trained in twenty times Earth's gravity." Vegeta said arrogantly with his arms crossed.

"But… I… Those kids aren't… ah, what's the point?" Oolong sighed in defeat while slouching down. There was just no point arguing with a bunch of crazy Ki users, was there?

"Hehe, Piggy's funny." Marron laughed on her mother's lap, ignorant of what was happening.

'Back with the students'

"Okay, this is a bit much, wouldn't you say?" William asked the two students of 1-A while looking at the minefield. "I can't even see where those mines are buried."

'I see. So this is what the teachers wanted for those who were ahead.' Todoroki thought with narrowed eyes as he slowly began to walk forward, making sure not to step on one of the many mines in front of him. Though he did notice some spots were bumpier than others, it still made the task of moving ahead much more difficult. He ignored some of the students who weren't as observant as he was and in turn, got blasted away by the mines.

"BOOM*BOOM*BOOM*

The Half Cold/Half Hot Quirk user raised his head as he turned around, only to see Bakugo moving in the air with his explosions, a cocky smirk on his face. "It's over, Icy Hot!" He shouted as he rushed next to Todoroki, extending a hand towards him. "You made a declaration of war to the wrong person. It should've been TO ME!" With that, he unleashed a close range explosion on the son of Endeavor, forcing him to jump out of the way.

"Pardon me!" William, in his smoke form, quickly moved past the two fighting students, his smoke body making it easier to fly over the mines. Seeing this, Todorkoi shoved Bakugo away and placed a hand on the ground, unleashing a wave of ice forward. The ice was able to reach the end of William's smoke form, making him shiver. "Oh crap!" The icy mist soon began taking over his body, forcing him back into his normal form and causing him to roll on the roll…

Which triggered multiple mines in his way.

*BOOM*

"AHH DAMMIT!" Was all William could scream out as he was sent flying in the air by the explosions, leaving a large pink cloud in the way. Both students of 1-A then proceeded to try and knock out the other with their Quirks, effectively slowing down their pace.

"More and more students are getting closer to the last course! Can Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo reach the finishing line before them or will their fight cost them the win?!" Present Mic announced as he and Hirotaka took up in excitement.

"I haven't seen this much pressure since the Twenty Third World Martial Arts-HANG ON! Looks like a black horse is making his way through the minefield!" Hirotaka called out as everyone looked at the screen in wonder. They could see a trail of explosions occurring, which wasn't a surprise… except for the fact they were happening in a straight line.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at who was causing them.

The source of this was none other than Son Gohan, who sprinted ahead with a determined smile on his face.

"Coming up the rear is Class 1-A's hidden ace: Son Gohan! And he's moving like a train! Better watch out everyone!" Hirotaka announced as even more of the crowd cheered.

"THAT'S MY BOY! KEEP GOING!" Chi-Chi cheered while standing up from her seat.

"GO, BIG BROTHER!" Goten cheered alongside his mother while hopping in place. The others merely watched in silence, having no doubt in Gohan's skills.

"LIKE HELL I'D LET YOU GET PAST ME, NERD!" Bakugo roared in anger as he and Todoroki fully turned towards Gohan, ready to unleash their Quirks in an effort to slow him down. "DIE!" A large explosive burst escaped Bakugo's hand while Todoroki was sending a wave of ice forward.

"Sorry, guys!" Gohan apologized as he opened his palms, forming two small balls of Ki on each one before he fired them. Of course, he held back enough so that the energy attack wouldn't severely hurt them, but it was strong enough to block their attacks. The son of Goku then rushed past his classmates, lightly shoving them out of the way to allow him to move forward. Todoroki and Bakugo landed on the ground, triggering mines under them and sending them flying in the air.

"And just like that, Son Gohan has retaken the lead!" Present Mic called out as he and his brother pulled each other close, allowing the crowd to cheer even louder.

"No way!"

"I knew he was fast, but not THAT fast!"

"And that guy's in Class 1-A? Damn, they're lucky!" Multiple students from the other classes all commented on Gohan's inhuman speed, with a mixture of awe and jealousy. Gohan simply kept running, seeing the gate to the arena dead ahead.

"Almost there!" Gohan said to himself as he increased his speed, entering the tunnel of the arena. He could hear the cheers of the audience increase in volume as light appeared in front of him. Seeing that the path was clear, Gohan smiled as he finally reentered the stadium, confetti showering all around him.

"AND COMING IN FIRST PLACE IS CLASS 1-A'S SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN GOHAN!" Present Mic and Hirotaka both announced in unison before the crowd roared with cheers.

"YOU DID IT, GOHAN! I KNEW YOU COULD!" Chi-Chi cried out, tears running down her cheeks out of pure joy. She reached down and picked up Goten, hugging him close.

"I KNEW HE COULD DO IT! NO ONE CAN BEAT MY BIG BROTHER!" Goten yelled with a big smile on his face.

"Man, I thought he wasn't going to make it. Talk about awesome." Trunks said with a big smirk on his face.

"There was no doubt he would make it. Then again, he chose to give everyone else a chance." Roshi said sagely while nodding his head.

"YES!" Piccolo uncharacteristically cheered while standing up, getting looks from some of the others. He noticed this and coughed in his hand before sitting down.

"Getting excited, are we?" Bulma asked with a cheeky smile, only for Piccolo to ignore her. She then looked at Vegeta, who stared at Gohan with a frown. "Admit it. You were cheering for him."

"He nearly cost himself victory for that little stunt he pulled. A true Saiyan would never help his opponents." Vegeta said with a scoff.

Outside the stadium, Tien, Kamui Woods and Death Arms, hearing the crowd cheer, looked at the jumbotron and saw Gohan's picture with the words "1st place" on it. "Huh. Guess first place was taken." Death Arms said with an impressed tone. He and Kamui Woods then noticed the smile on Tien's face, making them raise their brows.

"I take it you know the kid?" Kamui Woods asked in confusion.

"His dad and I go way back." Was all Tien said, still looking at the screen. 'Good job, Gohan. I never doubted you.'

Gohan looked around, seeing all the cheers he was getting from everyone before a smile broke out on his face. He did it. Even after holding back on the flying, Gohan was still able to move on and claim victory while also showing off what he was capable of. A part of him did feel slightly guilt about not helping all his classmates aside from Toru, but he knew they wouldn't hold any grudges against him… besides Bakugo, of course.

'I hope I made you proud, dad.' Gohan thought as he began waving his hand towards the crowd.

"Don't stop cheering now, folks. We still have the other competitors to worry about! Let's watch!" Present Mic announced before pointing at the screen.

'Back with the other students'

"Damn bastard!" Bakugo shouted while punching the ground, pushing himself up while dusting himself off. He was seering with anger for what Gohan did, especially with how he claimed first place while holding back. Noticing Todoroki standing up, Bakugo realized what he needed to do and quickly began using his Quirk to propel himself in the air. 'If I can't get first place, then I'll at least make sure Icy Hot and Deku don't get second!'

*BOOM*

Another large explosion, much bigger than the ones before, erupted behind Bakugo, making him look back. What he saw made him gasp in shock.

Izuku Midoriya was sailing in the air, lying on the armor plating he used as a shield to fly in the air.

"And if things weren't surprising yet, Midoriya of 1-A is catching up for the silver metal! And in a way that no one would expect!" Hirotaka called out with amazement.

'Nice one, kid! Even I wouldn't expect that.' Toshinori thought while clenching his fist out of excitement, earning a giggle from Tirado. Even if Izuku didn't get first place, he was still determined to get past Bakugo and Todoroki.

'This is smart. If I keep using the shield, I won't have to put so much stress on my body with One For All.' Izuku thought as he flew over the other students, even to the point of passing Bakugo and Todoroki. 'Still, I won't be able to land perfectly, so if I use One For All on my legs the moment the shield hits the ground, I should be able to jump ahead and run to the finish line before them… I hope.' Noticing his descent coming closer, Izuku pushed himself up, his feet pressed against the back of his shield while Full Cowling coursed through his body yet again. 'Here we go… wait for it… NOW!' The moment the armor plate hit the dirt, yet another explosion erupted from under Izuku, sending him forward yet again. Pushing his feet on the shield, Izuku launched himself forward.

"YOU WON'T GET AHEAD OF ME, DEKU!" Bakugo roared with pure rage, increasing the amount of explosions from his hands. Todoroki used his Ice Quirk to make it easier for him to run, though it still didn't help him catch up with the two former childhood friends. Once Izuku's feet hit the ground, he then began sprinting the rest of the way, occasionally looking back to make sure he was ahead of Bakugo.

"This is coming to a close. Who'll get second place?!" Hirotaka said as sweat ran down his head, indicating how stressful this whole event had become. Gohan looked at the hallway, watching to see whether Izuku, Bakugo or even Todoroki would claim second place. It took a minute, but the second one to reach the arena was…

"Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A has arrived in second place! Followed by Shoto Todoroki, who comes in third and Katsuki Bakugo, who comes in fourth! What a race!" Present Mic announced as all three teens arrived, though Izuku fell on his knees out of exhaustion. The crowd yet again cheered for the three boys, who all looked rather tired after pushing themselves.

"I… did it… All Might." Izuku muttered to himself between breaths, rubbing his face to clean away the sweat on his face. Sure, he wasn't able to win, but the point of this event was to show everyone what he had and needless to say, he impressed everyone. A hand appeared in front of Izuku, catching his attention as he looked up, looking at Gohan's smiling face.

"You did great, Izuku." Gohan said in a proud tone. Izuku, not being able to hold back his own smile, grabbed Gohan's hand, allowing his friend to pull him up. Gohan then turned towards Todoroki and Bakugo. "And you guys were great too."

"Oh shut it, nerd! You got lucky!" Bakugo sneered in annoyance before he walked off. He then grabbed his left arm, which felt very sore from using his Quirk for so long. 'Those damn nerds outran me! ME! They surpassed me again!' Bakugo clenched his arm while gritting his teeth. "Not again… not again…"

Unbeknownst to Bakugo, a certain Saiyan was watching him from the stands, raising a brow ever so slightly.

"As our top four runs take a break, let's see who else is coming in the arena!" Hirotaka announced as the crowd cheered in response. Sure enough, more students arrived in the arena, with a few familiar ones running up to Gohan and Izuku.

"Deku! Gohan!" Ochaco wheezed out while lazily running up to her friends, getting their attention.

"Hey Ochaco. You okay?" Gohan asked with slight concern, only for her to wave of his concern.

"Just… tired…" Ochaco said before taking some deep breaths and straightening up. "But you two were crazy awesome! Gohan, you were really fast, even when you aren't flying. And Deku! That green lightning on your body was crazy! I thought you were going to explode!"

"O-Oh! N-No, I wasn't. B-But thanks." Izuku said in embarrassment while wrapping his arms around his head to cover his red face. Gohan just shook his head out of amusement before he noticed Momo jogging in the arena, with her shirt open, revealing her black bra.

"Excuse me." Gohan said while giving his friends a wave before he casually walked up to Momo, who stopped while taking some quick breaths. "You made it."

"Yes… but not… as fast… as I hoped." Momo admitted with her hands on her knees. She looked up at him, giving a tired smile. "But… congratulations… on first place."

"Thanks, but… can you close your shirt, please?" Gohan asked while looking away, his cheeks glowing a bit red. Realizing her shirt was still open, Momo quickly buttoned her shirt together, smiling at Gohan's gentlemanly behavior.

"Good work, man. You really outdid yourself." A cool voice called out, getting both black haired teens to turn around. William Dunbar and Itsuka Kendo of 1-B walked up to both of them, with the former smirking.

"Hey, good to see you, William." Gohan said with a friendly smile, getting a raised brow from Kendo.

"Huh. Didn't know you two were on a first name basis." Kendo lightly jokes, making Gohan chuckle.

"Sorry. Where I'm from, we usually just call people by their first names." Gohan admitted, earning a small giggle from Momo.

"It's no problem. I'm Itsuka Kendo." Kendo introduced herself before she looked at Momo. "And you're Yaoyorozu, one of the students who got into UA through recommendations, right?"

"That's correct. It's a pleasure to meet you." Momo said politely while giving them a bow. The four then began making small talk, waiting for more of the students to arrive. After a good few minutes, the last of the students arrived in the stadium.

"The first event for the first years is finally over, and what a game it was!"Midnight announced with a smile on her face. "Now it's time to see the standings for each student, shall we?"The screen over Midnight then turned on, allowing everyone to see who ranked where in terms of placement.

"Man, that's not fair! I got sent flying twice!" The short teen from class 1-B known as Minoru Mineta complained, his face bruised and bloody. "I knew I should've stuck to someone."

"Only the top forty will be allowed to advance to the next round." Midnight stated, hearing the groans and sighs of disappointment from those who didn't make it to the top forty. "But for those who didn't make the cut, don't worry. There are plenty of other opportunities for you to shine. But let's not worry about that for now. It's time for the REAL fun to begin." She licked her lips in anticipation, getting shivers from some of the students. "The next event will push all of you to the limelight and against one another!" The R-Rated Heroine then pointed to the screen, which began randomly choosing the next event of the Sports Festival. "Prepare yourselves for the next event…" The screen then stopped, showcasing the words that will lead to the next event.

The screen showed two groups, one red and one blue, with color-coated belts with matching flags on them. "Capture the Flag!"

"Capture the Flag?" Kaminari questioned in confusion.

"Sheesh, they think we're in middle school again?" Odd commented with his hands on his hips, not really thrilled about this next event.

"Let me explain the rules." Midnight stated as the screen then changed to show All Might in the sent of a small circle, with Present Mic, Eraserhead and Thirteen guarding him. "Teams of 4 will be randomly selected and those who have the highest rank out of the group will be given four flags tied to a belt. Each flag represents different points. The more you take from other teams, the higher your score will be. Each player will be given flags with points based on where they placed in the obstacle course."

"A point system. Just like the entrance exam." Sato commented out loud.

"So the points each team will have will depend on who's on it. But I wonder how they'll assign teams." Gohan asked curiously.

"The point assignments will go by implements of five." Midnight said as points appeared next to the forty contestants. "For example, 40th place has five points, 39th has ten and so on. And the person in first place has…" Everyone all looked at Gohan's placement… only to gasp at his point value.

1. Son Gohan: 10,000,000 points.

"... Huh?"

Well, that's a way to end the chapter, huh? I hope all of you enjoyed this chapter. I know I did, despite the long time it took to update it. Like before, I am sorry for the long wait. Thanks to summer vacation, I'm able to work on my stories at a slightly faster pace, though don't expect too much out of me.

As you can see, I did add a little to the Sports Festival, like Oolong basically calling out all the obstacles the teachers are putting the students through and even having the Z-Fighters react to each event. Trust me, the rest of the Sports Festival will be a lot different from the Sports Festival, such as the event that replaced the Cavalry Battle(which I still enjoyed in canon).

The next chapter will kinda be based on the story Friendly Foreign Dimensional Exchange Student Spiderman! By Zaru. If you guys check it out, I recommend you do. It is a GREAT story. Instead of having the forty contestants choosing their teams, I thought it would be even more interesting to see them being put in teams at random. You guys can tell me who you think will be in each team. I love feedback and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.
