So, quick question for after you've read this chapter. Is the layout better like this or how it was before?
Okay. Bye!
Harry noticed the sudden fault in Danny's face when he nudged him. Danny hurried off before he could say anything, therefore, he decided to catch him before dinner. Packing his papers on charms, Harry rushed out the room and basically swiped down the stairs.
"Harry, love, come have a seat next to Ron," Molly said sweetly as everyone else sat down.
"Where's Danny?" He asked, looking around for the boy.
"He's gone to bed, the poor thing is exhausted. He'll be down in a bit." Molly said, setting up plates.
"When can we meet him?" Ron asked as Harry finally sat down next to him.
"We've already met him, Ron," Hermione stated, having a sip of her water. Molly started placing meals in front of everyone.
"What?" Ron exclaimed.
"It's true, oh brother of ours-
"You missed him-
"Such a shame." Fred and George smiled deviously.
"Even Ginny?" Ron turned to his silent sister who gave a curt nod. "How? I've been looking for him all day." The ginger slumped in his chair.
"Well, he did have that accident this morning... then he popped out... Oh, and they began training in the basement... it's a surprise you haven't run into him yet." Remus stated, eating.
They began eating. Harry wondered what was going on. But maybe he was just being paranoid...
Danny collapsed in the living room, breathing hard.
"Danny?" Sirius questioned helping him sit on the Sofa. "What happened?" Said boy allowed him to help.~
"I think there's something wrong with me? Harry? I don't know..." he closed his eyes. It all happened when Danny nudged Harry. Harry? Is it a spell? "Is there a spell for draining energy?" He asked, worried an enemy of theirs was attacking, him but how?
"I thought spells Albus used didn't work on you?"
"They didn't, but for all we know, one did." Could Albus have cursed him to not touch Harry? Perhaps he was just being cautious, but Danny didn't think Albus would do that.
"Danny!" Remus rushed in. He felt drained. Completely drained. Again. At least he knew it wasn't about not absorbing the Zone. "Here," Lupin said some words and a glass of water appeared.
"Can you stand?" Sirius asked as Danny took a sip of water.
"What should we do?" Who said that?
"No, no, I'm fine... I don't suppose you can help me get upstairs?"
"Right, right." Sirius assisted the halfa up the stairs as everyone sat at the table.
"Hey, mom?" Danny asked while sitting on his bed with his phone to his ear. "Any luck with finding a way for me to absorb energy other than the Zone?"
"Actually..." She paused. "Are you alright?" Danny shook his head.
"Yeah, just wondering." Lie sliding off his tongue. He didn't have a reason to lie but he didn't want his mother knowing about this strange new detrimental addition to his health.
"Well, I think me and your father have found a way but it hasn't been tested..."
"Okay?" He added in.
"It will create a sort of gateway, like that ghost's ability... You know, the wolf?"
"You mean Wulf?" Danny laughed. No matter how much his parents liked ghosts, they just couldn't learn their names.
"Yes. Do you get what I mean?" Danny nodded, still feeling a bit dased.
"Yeah," He voiced as soon as he realised his mother wasn't in front of him. "We can test it out tomorrow."
"Okay sweety, see you tomorrow, make sure you rest well," Danny said goodbye and ended the call. He laid down and put the cover over him. So when Albus comes over I'll need to have a private word with him.
"I'm telling you, Ron, I think there's something about me that is draining Danny's energy." Danny overheard from outside the door. It was very faint but he could just about hear Harry from inside the noiseless room.
"I don't know Harry, maybe he's just tired." He didn't recognise this voice, could it be the other redhead? He listened as the voice got louder until it stopped. "Maybe we should go to a different room, what if he's sleeping?"
"You can come in!" Danny shouted at the door. A minute later they both came in silently. Danny turned to the redhead and smiled. "You must be, Ron? Danny, nice to meet you." He said giving a small wave.
"Ah, yeah, I'm Ron."He said kind of awkwardly for someone was looking forward to meeting the new member. Maybe it was because he was the last to meet him, or maybe it was because Harry was being awkward too which in result made him uncomfortable.
"You alright Harry?" Danny asked as the room became, once again, silent with the boys standing by the door.
"Are you alright?" Harry asked back.
"Yeah." Danny shifted. "Can you come over?" Harry hesitated but soon came over as Danny moved, allowing him to sit down. Danny, in order to do so, had to move his phone which he left next to his pillow after he finished his call. Ron didn't know where do go, so Danny ushered him over too, so he wasn't left out. Sitting on the floor, Ron looked left awkward and more chill, despite there still being tension in the air.
"I know you don't exactly want to come over, especially after the last two times we were meeting, but I just want you to know that what's happening isn't you." Danny could feel Harry draining him slightly, without even touching him. "My parents are making a device to make it so if it happens, I can just 'recharge' if that makes sense." That word... 'Recharge' it made both Harry and Danny shiver slightly. It made him sound like an object. Danny looked at the phone in his hand, this was something to recharge, it made him sound like a battery.
"What is happening to you?"
"Don't know. A spell maybe? Do either of you know a spell that can absorb energy?" Harry and Ron shared a look.
"Wrong people to ask. If any of us know it's Hermione." Ron suggested. That made sense in Danny's head. He was told that she's a bookworm.
"Not just yet. I'll ask her tomorrow or something." Or something. He thought. Not that he didn't like her, he just didn't want word to spread that he was fainting every time he came in contact with Harry.
"What about dementors? They leave you tired." Ron added.
"No, definitely not, there's none nearby."
Danny could feel the world around him going foggy. It was oddly peaceful. He didn't know why he called Harry over. It was like an instinct, and when he was getting drained, it was like he wanted it. He didn't move. Didn't even flinch. Like he needed it. Danny began to fall asleep as the boys spoke.
He woke up as something was shaking him. The two noticed Danny's eyes closed and then Harry noticed how close he was sitting to him.
"Ron! wake him up!" He moved away as Ron got up and shook the drifting boy.
"What?" As he opened his eyes the boys moved away from the dased boy on the bed. Said boy couldn't think. "What are you all doing over there?" Danny raised an arm to try and grab Harry but he couldn't reach. It was like he wasn't in control.
"Danny?" The boy looked up at Harry. "Your eyes are green. Are they meant to be green?"
"Green?" Danny shook his head, eyes going back to blue as the other boys stared at him. Danny looked up, confused as to when they moved. Did I fall asleep? he thought.
"What happened?"
"What do you mean what happened?" Danny looked up at Harry. A beat. "You were acting like you were being controlled. Your eyes went green. You were being drained again. By me."
