"You will be gone by the time I return, or my Bolt shall be the last thing you ever taste!" Zeus bellowed, before disappearing in an equally loud clap of thunder and lightning.

Poseidon rolled his eyes. "Perhaps he should have been the God of Theatre, eh?" He asked Percy. The demigod just nodded, face never changing.

Poseidon was slightly confused, but chalked it up to nerves. After all, the kid had just been threatened by the King of the Gods, and was also meeting his Father for the first time. It was understandable to be a little shocked.

Poseidon shrunk down to his mortal size, still towering over Percy- man, that kid was short! He clapped a hand on his son's shoulder, said "Good job," then continued on his merry way.

When the God of the Sea put his hand on the massive throne room doors, a voice rang out from behind him. It was slightly high-pitched, as was normal for a mortal who hadn't gone through puberty yet. As a result, Percy sounded a fair bit younger than he really was.

"Is that all?"

The god paused, slightly confused. He had acknowledged his son, praised him for his achievement. Was that not enough? It was for his children of old…

"What do you mean?" Poseidon had spoken before he realized it, and so was forced to deal with the consequences of his slip.

"No apology for dragging me into your mess? No apology for nearly getting me killed, multiple times? No apology for screwing up my mom's life!? Not even an apology for leaving me that ABUSIVE WALRUS FOR SO LONG!?" The boy's volume had gradually increased, to the point where it sounded as if he was right next to the god, even though the two were separated by at least twenty meters.

The Lord of the Sea could not speak; such was his surprise. Said surprise did not show, not after centuries of training himself to not react so he could always maintain a calm facade in the face of his political opponents.

Tears suddenly sprang into his son's eyes, before the boy began to walk towards him. Confused, and slightly wary, the god watched with a cautious gaze as the child got closer to him, until they were standing side by side.

Percy looked up at his Father, and broke the god's heart with his next statement.

"Luke was right… You really don't care."
Perseus Jackson vacated the throne room. Poseidon was too stunned to stop him.

In case you didn't notice, the song title happened when Percy began yelling at Poseidon. If you thought Poseidon was just gonna scoop up his son in a warm embrace and whisper how proud he was and whatnot, too bad. :P But sheesh, talk about short.
