it was late when Salem had entered the bar. An eerie silence filled the room as the only s were Ozpin, Qrow, Ironwood, and a ripped yet slender man sleeping at the bar. The three men stared at the mother grimm as she walked up to the headmaster. "Why have you summoned me?"

Ozpin's eyebrow cocked. "Excuse me?"

"Earlier today you sent me a message challenging me to a one on one fistfight. But I assumed that you didn't send it. After all, you aren't the type to challenge first. In a fistfight no less. Yet here you are."

"Believe it or not, I sent no such invite. I believe you have been fooled." said Oz, his voice still confident and unfazed as he stood to look Salem eye-to-eye.

"Oz... what's going on here?!" asked Ironwood, drawing his weapon.

"If you didn't call me," Salem began ", who else could possibly have the resources or the information needed to enter my domain?"

"THat WaS *hic* MeEeee..." the man at the bar woke up swaying back and forth from the alcohol. He was wearing biker goggles with a shattered right lens, a black helmet with a silver spike, and a white T shirt. He was surrounded by a dozen large empty bottles with labels that read "99% pure alcohol". He had two bottles left; one with only one thimble shot worth of booze left, and the other was unopened. He shook his head as he poured the last of the first bottle into a thimble he was using as a shot glass. he then walked over to Salem with the thimble in one hand and the full bottle in the other "I *hic* challenge you... Salem... queen of the *hic* skull... bear... dragon... thingies I *hic* had to kill to deliver that flipping message!" He handed Salem the thimble as he opened the bottle with his thumb. "A DR*hic*INK! To our battle!"

Salem politely took the thimble from his hand. Her face grew cold as she looked at the drink. "Do you really think alcohol will lessen my ability to-" Salem stopped. Her jaw dropped along with Oz, Qrow, and Ironwood as they watched the stranger drain the bottle of almost-pure alcohol before their eyes. He was chugging it like it was tap water. As the bottle emptied, the swaying lessened until he was standing straight like he was sober, the empty bottle still in his grasp as he wiped his face with his free hand. Salem quickly regained her composure as she asked in a cold voice. "What makes you think you can best me in combat? Do you even realize what I am capable of? Who do you think you are?!"

"First, I'm *hic* drunk. Second, I don't give a FUUUU-*BELCH*. And third... the name's Road Wrecker. Now you had better drink up." a badass smile spread across Road Wrecker's face like butter. "It's gonna hurt less."

Salem glared at Road Wrecker as she drank the shot. She choked a little due to the strength of the booze. She recovered and stood face to face with her Challenger. "What happens now?"

"Now, we fight."

Before Salem could ever hope to react, Road Wrecker delivered a devastating blow to her solar plexus, which was followed by a deafening CRACK as she was launched into the wall on the opposite side of the bar. Salem was still recovering when her attacker grabbed her by the neck.

"I'm not even from this dimension!"

Road Wrecker slammed her into the ground and began punching her without remorse. He finally stopped and grabbed her by the forehead, flinging her across the room.

"Even there, I come from a future that makes your domain look like PARADISE!"

Road Wrecker waited for Salem to throw a punch, only for him to block it with his right forearm and wrap his arm around hers, locking it like the spy against the medic in meet the spy. She tried to punch using her free hand, only for him to catch it.

"In that time, I'm king of all humanity. But I didn't get my power by means of fear or cheating."

Road Wrecker dug his fingers deep into Salem's shoulder as he planted his right foot onto her left hip as he ripped her left arm clean off with a sickening Rrrrrip! His foot pushed Salem back a few feet as she screamed in pain and shock. Road Wrecker tossed the arm to the side as it dissipated.

"I got the peoples respect by showing respect to my opponents. When they were weak, I held back. When they were strong, I let loose. I never cheated in a fight, I never used a weapon they didn't have."

Salem was loosing her ability to fight. She frantically tried to punch using her right hand, but Road Wrecker only grabbed her by the wrist and ripped off her other arm. In complete shock, Salem fell to her knees as the man knelt down to her level.

"And you, Salem, are the furthest thing from an exception."

"W-w-what... are y-you... talking about?" asked Salem, her voice shaking in fear of this... thing... this man without an aura who beat her without breaking a sweat.

"Salem... I respect you. I respect your ambitions. I respect your plans, your abilities, your army, your power. I respect every little aspect of your life. But I can't just allow you to continue hurting innocent people just to get what you want. However, I am a man of compassion, so I'm giving you a choice."

Road Wrecker got up and walked over to a backpack at the bar. He took out a revolver with glowing green bullets in the chamber.

"Option one; you surrender, break up your faction, and never interfere with the people of this world ever again. Option two; we continue to fight hand to hand, and you die a slow and painful death. Or option three;" he pulled back the hammer and held the barrel up to Salem's head. ", I kill you here and now. As quick and painless as I can make it. Some would say that you don't deserve options one or three. Bu if I have learned only one thing from living in a wasteland for thirty five years," his voice started to lighten and sweeten up as he spoke ", it's that the wise run, the fools fight, the weak kill, and the strong... show compassion."

Tears welled up in Salems eyes as she realized who she had lost to. She only had one queston now. "Before you kill me, will you tell me something?" Road Wrecker nodded. "How did you defeat me? What do you have that I don't?"

Road Wrecker was silent for a moment before answering "A cause. One that I beleive in with evey part of my body."

He pulled the trigger.

Ozpin was amazed at the man's feat. "Who are you?" he asked.

"I already told you. I'm just a man who's spent his entire life protecting the lives of people who need it."

He placed a large stack of lein on the bar to pay for the damages. He walked over to the door, stopped, and turned to the trio to say one more thing before leaving the building.

"Even if they don't deserve it."

The man was never seen again.
