This chapter is a lot shorter then the rest as it's the end of this one. Just because this is the end of this does not mean this is the end to this arc, Tim and Gibbs and the team will be returning again with Carrie, Maddie, and little Henry. A quick note to the guest reviewer by the name of 'Momcat' - I have been getting your reviews but they come in slower because they do get checked before being allowed to be posted. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this story and hope you keep a look out for the next one - both the sequel and a new story I am working on with another person. :)

Six Weeks Later

Tim stayed with Carrie and Maddie for a week before finally returning to his own apartment. If he wasn't at work he was at the house with the girls. Outside of work he rarely saw his team as he helped the girls settle back into their lives. Maddie started back at kindergarten but Carrie was now on maternity leave from work as she only had a month of her pregnancy left. When Tim finally returned to his own apartment and his own life, he and Gibbs started spending more time outside of work together. They would go on runs or have dinner. They were still taking things slow. They hadn't ended up in bed yet but they spent many nights in the shower or on the couch exploring each other's bodies - both with and without clothes on.

Once the case was done and the paperwork finished Eric Baker was sentenced to prison for murder and kidnapping. He didn't last long. Four days in he picked a fight with the wrong guy and ended up dead. Tim didn't feel bad about the news. Lisa was a different story. Tim did feel bad for the woman he had known most of his life. She had been hysterical once she understood Eric had actually killed her sister. Instead of sending her to prison as an accessory to murder and kidnapping, Tim and Carrie knew what she really needed was help. She was now in a mental hospital getting that help. Richard and Mary were still raising Esther and Blake, and still had no contact with Carrie about Maddie. Once Lisa gave birth to her newest child, he or she would also be going to live with Richard and Mary.

Carrie gave birth to their son - Henry Curtis McGee - four days past her due date. Just like when Maddie had been born, Tim moved back into the house to help take care of Carrie and the children. He knew Carrie was struggling to deal with everything now that she was a single parent. Though Tim was there, would be there for the three of them, Carrie had to be able to do things on her own for the children as well. Four days after Henry had been born Tim and Carrie had allowed the team over to the house to officially meet the baby. It was now another week later and Tim and Carrie were thinking it was time he returned to his own apartment once again. Gibbs was waiting at the apartment when he pulled up to the curb.

"Hey." Tim smiled as Gibbs opened the door for him.

"Hey yourself." Gibbs pulled the younger man into a kiss the moment he was standing in front of him.

Tim melted into the kiss with a smile. When they pulled apart to catch their breath Tim's smile grew. "Not that I'm happy to see you, but what are you doing here at three in the afternoon? Shouldn't you be at work?"

"I called in a vacation day." Gibbs pressed Tim's body against the side of the car with his own.

"Really?" Tim liked the sound of that, and the feel of the older man against him. Tim had been out on paternity while staying with Carrie and kids after the birth of Henry. Something he didn't even know about when Maddie had been born. He still worked while living with the girls all those years ago. He still had the weekend before returning to work this time. "Just one day?"

"I may have took the whole weekend." Gibbs slid his hands up Tim's arms.

"And the team?"

"Working cold cases."

"So we should probably lock the doors."

"With the deadbolt."

"Perfect."

Gibbs grabbed Tim's hand and they headed up to the apartment together. The moment they were inside - and the door was locked with the deadbolt - they landed on the couch. Stretched out Tim was under Gibbs as they started kissing. Gibbs's hands were between them as he unbuttoned the younger man's shirt. Tim's hands were already working on Gibbs' belt. Gibbs pulled away from the kiss and stared down at the younger man below him, smirking as he finished unbuttoning the shirt and pushing it off shoulders, suddenly trapping Tim's hands down to his sides. Tim fought not to whine but it was in vain. He wasn't able to move his hands back up to Gibbs' belt and he frowned.

"Jethro..."

"Patience, Timmy." Gibbs moved his mouth down to Tim's chest. Tim instantly arched into the touch. And then Tim's phone rang.

Gibbs growled and Tim sighed. "Unless it's Carrie about the kids, you're not answering it."

Tim gave him a look of 'duh' as they sat up. Tim adjusted his shirt back onto his shoulders before leaning back on the couch to reach into his pocket for his phone. When he pulled it out and saw who it was he rolled his eyes, silenced the phone, and tossed it on the coffee table before holding out his hand. "Phone."

Gibbs smirked as he handed over his own phone. He watched as Tim also silenced that one before tossing it next to his own. Before Gibbs could push him back onto the couch and resume what they had been doing, Tim stood. Gibbs opened his mouth to protest when Tim grabbed his hand and pulled him up with him. "As much fun as it's been making out on the couch all these weeks, that's not exactly what I want now." Tim started walking backwards, pulling Gibbs along with him. "We have a whole weekend together without having to worry about work. I was starting to think I would have to kidnap you to get you alone longer then ten minutes. This is my chance to finally have you inside me." The smile Gibbs gave him got them moving faster into the bedroom.
