Shortly before the start of Phase: High Noon.

The audience members cheered as the All-Star Corps Headhunters launched their ambush against a platoon of Pershings.
Despite poor visibility thanks to the smoke rounds, the Headhunters fired with precise accuracy that made the crowd wonder how they could preform such a feat.

The students of Ooarai, along with the other various young girls whom showed up to help their friends/rivals. Cheered or commented amongst themselves.

Miho, surrounded by her friends, watched in good spirits as her older brother's team fought on her behalf. It was touching, so much that it brought a smile to her face.

"You must be Miho." A voice called to her left.
Miho turned her head, as did a few of her friends towards the voice. Standing there was a man with short, flat brown hair and black eyes.

"My name is Charles, Moki told me a lot about you." The youngest blood related son of Don Dunnavanty said with a smile. "That little brother of mine really cares about you and Maho."

"Brother?" Miho asked, raising her eyebrow.

Charles mouthed an 'ah'. "Your brother was adopted by my father, Don Dunnavanty. He's the youngest right after me, didn't Moki tell you that?"

"No he didn't." Miho confirmed. "He hasn't really told me anything yet."

"I see, saving it for after the match I assume." Charles concluded, he waved his hand out to the space open next to the high schooler. "May I?"

Miho replied with a yes, scooching over so the young man had plenty of room. Charles sat down in a dignified way, portraying his elite upbringing.

"Well, my bro- sorry, our brother can be quite the handful." The well mannered yet adventurous man continued. "He reminds me of myself. Ha, the two of us got into a lot of trouble over the years. I can go on for hours about all the experiences we've had."

Miho let out a chuckle. "That sounds a lot like what little I remember about him." She replied. "It seems like the two of you get along really well too."

"Of course!" Charles answered, letting out a laugh. "The two of us are rather inseparable."

"That...makes me a little jealous."

Charles blinked a few times, mentally cursing himself before patting Miho on her shoulder. "That just means you too have a lot of lost time to make up for. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, any sibling of Moki's is a sibling of mine."

He smiled wide, revealing his teeth before continuing. "If you need anything, just leave it to your big brother Charles."

Miho stared at the man blankly for a moment, then gave Charles a slight smile before thanking him.

On the other side of the young schoolgirl, some of Miho's other friends turned their head toward the pair.

"Hey aren't you that announcer guy?" Saori asked, finally seeming to acknowledge the man's existence.

"Oh wow it is." Another of Miho's friends, the most mature looking Isuzu Hana, confirmed. "What are you doing sitting by us?"

Charles looked over Miho's head, took a moment to look at the two girls, then closed his eyes giving the pair a few forces chuckles.

"Yes well, the original plan was to sit with pops but when we saw who was keeping him company...Well we decided to mingle with the crowd."

"Big bro Earl is off managing a few deals on pops behalf though, so I guess he'd go there regardless. As for Princeton..." Charles turned his head around, Miho, Saori, and Isuzu following his gaze.

Off standing in the middle of several audience members, Princeton seemed to be reciting something in his 'actor' voice. Could be a poem, could be his own narration of what was happening on the match, or it could be some other sophisticated artist lingo topic.

Given the distance between then, none of the four could hear and quite honestly it was probably better that way. Especially given how much Princeton rambles on once the mood strikes him.

"Looks like he's...preaching." Charles said, not quite sure how to describe it accurately. He turned his head back around.
"Never mind him. Miho, do you mind if I sit with you all for the rest of this match? I can tell you some stories about your older brother Moki too if you want."

"I don't mind." Miho replied with a smile. "And I'd like to hear about my brother from someone close to him."

Saori chimed in her agreement on the latter part, commenting that she was curious if hearing this would be good to adjust her expectations on her boyfriend -Which, let's be honest, we all she doesn't have-.

And so Charles started to tell several tales about he and Moki's silly pranks and adventures over the past few years while still keeping an eye on the match.

Throughout it all, Miho couldn't help but feel happy that her long lost brother had lived such a happy, wonderful life.

Time flew by as the match drew down to it's final moments, all the stories stopped as everyone watched with anticipation of this epic, last showdown.

Present time...

"Welcome, to Stage 3 members of the University Selection team."

Moki called out after crawling out of his tank to sit upon the turret. He extended his arms out to his sides, proclaiming the following:

"Welcome to the End Game: The Cliffs of Gallipoli."

Alice frowned, taking in every detail of her enemy's position. 3 shooters on the top of the tanks, 3 inside the hollowed cliffs, 3 behind her and two flanking at both sides.

All she had left, minus one missing Chaffee tank, was with her now. Her Centurion, 3 Pershings, and one Chaffee.

Outnumbered, surrounded and without an escape route. This was the recipe for complete and utter defeat.

Suiting for an operation named after the failed attempt by the British to open up another front by attacking the slowly dying Ottoman Empire during WWI.

Clenching her fist in quiet anger, Alice signaled her subordinates to space themselves out. It's quite a subconscious act for followers to crowd around their leader when that person is in danger. In this case however, it just get them all taken out in a single volley.

"Alice." Moki called out, bringing one knee up so he could rest his arm upon it. "Before we finish this, I have to ask you something. May I?"

The young girl turned her gaze back to the young man. She paused for a moment, deciding to humor her opponent.

"Go ahead." Alice answered, plotting to use this break in the fighting to formulate a workable strategy.

"Then I shall." Moki said, bringing up his hand and placing his cheek in it. "Tell me, why do you fight?"

That caught Alice off guard by this not totally unexpected question, but otherwise remained silent.

"I wish...to understand my opponents you see." Moki continued. "I like to find out their reasons for fighting. To see if we can relate to one another. Mutual understanding if you would."

"You see, from my stand point, your team is simply fighting a match that many expected you to win rather easily if not for our intervention. That said, there isn't much of a drive for victory that I am feeling from, well any of them really. However, you Alice. You in particular are fighting for something more then just for the sake of going through the motions."

"It could be childish reasoning of never wanting to lose, though it doesn't seem to be the case in my eyes. I have a talent for reading people, or so I've been told haha."

Moki paused for a few minutes, rubbing his chin as he waited for Alice to reply. When she didn't, Moki continued to speak.
"Ah right, I suppose it would help if I told you my reasons for fighting." He lowered his hand before continuing.

"My reason for fighting in this match is to defend my sister's happiness. Happiness that is in seemingly constant jeopardy by a selfish pig who's decisions are based upon an old grudge that should have been buried with the past."

Moki spoke that last bit with such spite unseen by many whom knew him. It startled Alice despite knowing it wasn't directed toward her, though she didn't show it.

"Many would see my cause as noble, I suppose." Moki continued. "Personally, I see it as the selfish desire of an older brother to dolt on his younger sister."

He lowered his eyes, smiling as he spoke this last bit.

"So how about you?" Moki asked, returning his gaze to the young genius. He waited, a few minutes or so, for Alice to reply once more.

Silence filled the battlefield, save for the sounds of tank engines, for awhile longer before the young commander opened her mouth.

"The reason I fight..." Alice paused, formulating the right words in her mind.

"I fight to protect something I hold dear. It's not a person but...just as important."

Moki let out a laugh. "Then we are alike, you and me." He replied, pointing his finger to Alice and then himself. "We both fight for something we value. As such, I doubt I can talk you into giving up."

Moki stood up, smiling as he crossed his arms. "Since that is the case, I want you to show me your determination to fight until the end." He extended one finger out to his left. "Salvation lies in but one route. Do you have the strength to grasp it with your own hands?"

Alice's eyes widen by the realization. He was giving them a chance, and she had 5 tanks at her disposal to do it. "Everyone, form up! We are breaking through to the right!"

"Chaffee take the lead, I'll be right behind you!" Azumi ordered, her tank moving towards the right.

The Chaffee took the lead, Megumi's tank behind it. Azumi and Alice in the center with the last Pershing at the rear.

The tanks inside the cliff opened fire, many rounds coming close but not hitting anywhere vital but kicked up a lot of debris.

Laura's T-34-85 slid to a halt in the direction the enemy group was heading.

"As if I'd let yo-"

Her tank was shot without a second thought. The group heading past with little else in the way.

"Hot Tamale, what did I say about playing hero da?" Kira's voice came over the comms.

"You know Moki gave us orders not to interfere in this last stage." Izak's voice added in.

"Shut up both of you!" Laura shouted. "Like I'd let them through so easily!"

"And now you are out of fight da? Udovletvorennyj?"

"Shut up Crimson Devil!"

The Chaffee spotted the break in the cliff first, reporting her find over the radio. It was a clever, natural optical illusion: Overlapping sections of the walls that hid a path leading up to the top of the cliff.

Chaffee leading, the 5 tanks of the University team took the turn around the segmented wall and up the path. The way up was a wide turn into the cliff itself, one could barely see a dozen feet ahead on the path at best.

Which is why the lead tank didn't see the surprise waiting for them till she was already at the top.

The moment the Chaffee rolled up top it was shot back down by the only other unaccounted for tank in the All-Stars roaster.

"T95 covering the top position!" The Chaffee commander reported, her head popping out of her top hatch.

"Form up behind Megumi. Plow through and bypass it!" Alice commanded.

With Megumi's tank leading, the thee Pershings and Centurion formed a single line, pushing past the Chaffee, and rolling up to the top of the cliff.

The T95 was dug into a premade trench, mainly a rock barricade that covered it from all but the back. Thanks to that, it seemed like the super heavy tank won't be an immediate problem.

And so they decided to pass it by, the last Pershing in the pack taking a hit from behind and being knocked out. The Super Pershing, which fired that last shot, moved as its gun reloaded.

Il wanted to relocate for the next shot. A shot he hoped he wouldn't have to make.

Azumi's Pershing moved to Alice's right as their tanks turned toward the left. Megumi remained in the front, leading them towards their next target.

Moki's Patton laid ahead, behind it Yura's Patton and Emily's T32 maneuvered to form up with their leader.

Yura's Patton fired a shot, hitting Megumi's tracks causing her to skid out of control.

Emily's T32 stopped to line up the shot, aiming at Alice's tank. Azumi, possessing a keen six sense, noticed and accelerated in front of the Centurion, turned in front of, and sacrificed herself to blocked the shot.

Azumi and Emily's tanks collided with each other, the Centurion pushing the Pershing a few feet before slamming to a halt.

"Commander!" Megumi called out, her gunner aiming towards Moki's M481. Yura's M46 stopped a dozen or so feet from his mentor's tank. He fired, knocking out the remaining Pershing.

Megumi cried out in anger, slamming her fist on the top of her turret.

Alice shared her platoon leader's frustration. This time, it showed on her otherwise composed face.

Everything she planned, crumbled around her.

Every move she made, perfectly countered.

Everyone else, taken out.

This entire time, she has been dancing in the palm of Moki's hands. No matter what she did, what move she made or anything at all it was all predetermined!

If she was such a genius, then why the hell couldn't she break through this mess!?

Moki popped his head out of his tank, frowning. The enemy was reduced to two tanks; the Centurion before him and the unaccounted for Chaffee.

The forward unmoving ever since it crashed into Azumi's Pershing. Upon a quick examination, it didn't appear to be any damage to the engine or tracks.

That could only mean one thing...

"Is that all you got Alice?" Moki called out to the young girl. "Such a disappointing end! Is this all you are capable of doing? Of how far you are willing to go for what you believe in?"

Alice let out a surprise gasp. She opened her top hatch, looking at her enemy. Was he...trying to reassure her? To what end?

Moki crossed his arms, shouting the next few words.

"Show me Alice! Show me that determination to fight for what you value most in this world!"

Alice felt something swell inside her. Something she was taught to ignore, to supress for almost all her life.

She could feel it in her stomach, swelling and growing inside. It traveled up to her chest and filled her throat.

Alice did something she never did most her life. She yelled, in anger and determination. Alice signaled her crew to move, though there was a second of hesitation as they never seen their commander yell before.

Alice took a breath, screaming even louder as her Centurion moved around the Pershing and rushed towards Moki's Patton.

"That's it Alice!" Moki cried with a wide grin, placing his hands on the hatch's seal. "One last act of defiance!"

The commander pressed his index finger and thumb on the comms piece attached to his neck.

"No one interfere! This is a duel between commanders!" Moki commanded over the comms. "O la vittoria, o tutti accopati!"

And with that last bit from their commander, Moki's crew fell into their roles like a well oiled machine. Aharon floored the gas petal, the Patton surging forward on a collision course with the Centurion. Daila loaded another round into their cannon, while Calida waited for the order as she lined up a shot.

Both tanks fired at each other once the distance between them closed to a dozen or so feet. Both shots failed to hit anywhere vital and so these two tanks kept rushing at each other. They collided, scraping up aside each other as they pushed past.

The Centurion quickly turned around, Alice flashing her teeth. The Patton slowly moving about, taking a wide turn. Moki turned around to face Alice and dared for her to chase with the gesture of his hand.

She commanded her tank crew to go after the enemy commander and so began a dangerous game of tag.

The Centurion and Patton; Moki and Alice, clashed again and again. Tanks ramming against each other, shots firing at point-blank ranges. Each clash was more violent than the last, each clash showing off Alice's fierce fighting spirit.

One head on collision crossed the tanks cannons. Alice's gunner knocked the Patton's cannon aside.

Calida let out a yell. "Oh yeah!?" She raced to the controls, smacking the Centurion's cannon back. In turn, it came back with harder force that before.

For the next few minutes, these two cannons clashed against one another, similar to a clash of blades between two warriors. Alice yelled out in raw anger. Moki, with a smile on his face, replied in kind as sparks started to fly between the clashes of steal.

Unknown to those on the field, Princeton honored the show by calling it a tribute to the days of chivalry and duels between knights.

Eventually, the two tanks disengaged from one another only to go back to smashing and scraping up against each other.

"You know, I like it rough as much as the next girl, but this is getting annoying!" Calida shouted, firing off another shot.

"Just put up with it a little longer!" Moki answered his gunner. "We're in the climax! It's best to make in dramatic!"

"Yeah well all this drama ain't exactly doing wonders for us down here." Daila added. "All this tossing and turning is gonna leave us sore in the morning yea know?"

"Speak for yourself!" Aharon shouted between laughing like a mad man. "I'm having the time of my life here!"

Rachie chuckled with her eyes closed, putting her balled up hand to her mouth. "Some things never change."

The Centurion and the Patton pushed away from each other, pulling back further from each other than before.

They spun around, staring each other down. This was it, the intended final charge in this duel of commanders.

It was slow at first, each tank heading towards the other gradually gaining in speed till both were at their respected, original full speed charging along that rocky plane.

Alice's face still showed her clear frustration, but she didn't yell this time. Probably since she taxed her vocals so much. Still though, the fact that she could let loose like that was rather impressive.

The distance between the two closed a few feet when Moki used his trump card.

"Aharon!" Moki shouted. The Egyptian smiled in a wicked fashion, showing off his teeth before activating the motor. The surge in acceleration pushed the Patton forward, easily closing the remaining distance in a flash.

Alice's eyes widened, she let out a yell as the force of their collision pushed her Centurion back. Aharon pushed the Patton forward, slamming into the side of the Centurion and pushing it even further.

"Daila! Calida!" Moki called.

"Shot loaded!"

"Firing!"

The two replied in order. A single shot fired, aimed at the back of the Centurion. The round hit, square in the engine block. The little white flag popped out of Alice's tank a moment after. The commander tightening both her hands' grip on the hatch's seal.

She showed her clear frustration, but it was a lot calmer than what she showed before. Alice frowned, but didn't flash her teeth or yell in frustration. Now she was back to her collected self.

Well as collected as a young girl could be anyway.

"That was good, Alice." Moki called out to the young girl. "You showed me your fighting spirit. Ain't no shame that you won or lost."

Alice didn't reply, just simply locked eyes with her foe for what seemed to be eternity. After a while, she simply looked away.

"Ah." Moki let out. "Right, guess it's too soon to break out of that awkward silence."

A short distance away, barely a few dozen feet actually, there was a small bit of greenery: Mainly trees located at the low point of a slop. This was the last bit of a forest that once flourished upon this canyon.

Hidden inside this last bit of was the last tank of the University Selection team. Witness to all that had transpired between Moki and Alice.

"It's only us left." The Chaffee's commander answered. "We have to take out their commander at least. Let go avenge Commander Alice!"

The Chaffee rolled out from the tree line it was using for cover and up the slight hill. Barely taking a few feet forward before being shot on its side.

Rolling out to view, from the same direction as the shot, was Brianna's Comet. The British woman sitting on top of her tank's turret, legs folded against each other as she sipped on tea. The Comet casually came to a halt as Brianna rose her free hand to her comms unit.

"And that's the last rat down." Brianna said, her eyes closed and a smirk on her face.

A moment after, the voice of Ami Chono sounded over the battlefield. "Confirming total tanks eliminated...University Selection, total tanks eliminated:30. All-Star Corps, total tanks eliminated: 17. Confirmed all University Selection team's tanks have been eliminated. The match goes to the All-Star Corps!"

The All-Stars as well as the various members of the crowd let out a roaring cheer. With this victory, Ooarai was saved.
The girls of that saved school, along with their friends whom arrived to help them out, all cheered, hugged, cried in joy, or whatever else they did to show off their happiness.

Once again, they were saved. Once again, their school was theirs.

"Well, that was well fought." Chiyo Shimada commented, a small smile on her face. Beside her sat Shiho Nishizumi, her old rival in their early days.

"Quite." Shiho replied unenthusiastically.

"What's wrong Shiporin?" Chiyo playfully replied, calling her rival by her private nickname. "You are especially quite."

"And is seems you cannot recognized true talent when you see it." A third voice called out. Both elder ladies turned towards the source.

Making his way towards the pair was Princeton Dunnavanty, that smug smirk on his face.

"Good day madams, allow me to present myself." He said, bowing once he drew closer. "I am Princeton Dunnavanty, 2nd son of Don Dunnavanty and a patron of the arts."

"Good day Princeton." Chiyo replied, bowing her head. "My name is Chiyo Shimada, head of the Shimada Style and University Selection team."

"Shiho Nishizumi, head of the Nishizumi style and Chairperson of the Pro League Committee." The mother of Moki added bluntly.

"The honor is mine." Princeton said with the wave of his hand.

Chiyo let out a short chuckle, twirling the umbrella in her hand. "Oh my, what a gentlemen."

Shiho glared at Princeton. "What was it you said before?"

"Ah, about not having an eye for talent?" Princeton said with a smile. "I am talking about Moki. My younger brother whom you've given birth too."

"And, given some digging into you particular history madam, I say that your youngest daughter Miho also falls into that category. Winning the high school tournament is no laughing matter. Funny, how two out of three of your own children have achieved so much more then you've ever dreamed. After you abandoned them of course."

Throughout all of his speech, Chiyo closed her eyes. Attempting to stay out of this messy situation.

Shiho's eyes narrowed, focusing on the man before her. "What are you getting at?"

"I'm saying that, as a mother, you have failed in your duty twice over." Princeton started, placing his hand on his chest. "Instead of supporting your own children, you've shun them when they couldn't meet your expectations. Such a cold woman, are you truly proud of yourself? That you have driven those you should have loved away?"

"My husband was the one wh-" Shiho started, irritated. She stopped herself, taking a deep breath to regain her composure. It was true that she was cold, but that's just how she was raised. Emotion was something to be repressed as it often got in the way.

Her husband was to raise the children while she focused on work. Yet because of her choices, she had to stumble through raising two daughters when she hadn't a clue on how to do so in the first place.

Shiho tackled everything from a logical standpoint, so it was natural for her to have trouble! Though one could say this is little excuse for the way she acted towards her own flesh and blood...

Shiho Nishizumi rose from her seat, closing her eyes as she suppressed her irritation like the professional she is.

"I suppose...I should offer a word to the victors." She said, turning to her right and heading for the stairs. "If you'll excuse me Chiyokichi...Princeton."

Chiyo waved her farewell to her old rival, smiling.

Princeton let out a huff, but otherwise said nothing in reply. He'd returned his attention to Mrs. Shimada, engaging in light conversation and found her company rather pleasant.

Outrageous!

This was one of many words that plagued the mind of Renta Tsuji.

Outrageous, ridiculous, preposterous, and so on.

Don Dunnavanty let out a laugh. "It looks like my son won signoras." He said with a smile. "I feel bad for the young enemy commander, but no one can match my Moki when it comes to military tactics! Mi hai reso orgoglioso figlio!"

"It doesn't matter!" Renta proclaimed, waving his hand to his side. "Sure the All-Star Corps may have won, but my written agreement was for the Ooarai team to defeat the University Strengthened team! So this doesn't count!"

Don shook his head with a sigh. "Signore Tsuji, you are so predictable it is almost sad."

"What does that mean?" Renta asked, turning his head. "On second thought, doesn't matter. I'll simply gather together the members of MEXT, gain their support again and dismantle that troublesome school!"

"I'm afraid, that is no longer possible." Shichiro Kodama said, finally adding to the conversation he was literally caught between. His gaze drifting to the floor as he continued.. "You see, someone bought the entire MEXT board out during the course of this match."

Renta Tsuji's mouth dropped. "Wh-wha-WHAT?! How could tha-"

"Shhhh!" Don cut in, raising a finger to his mouth. "The answer is quite simple, if only you listen."

Renta blinked a few times before he realized what the Italian was hinting at. His eyes widened as it clicked in his mind. "T-that was what that phone call was about...You...you did..."

Don nodded, smirking. "Indeed, you figured it out. Bene, bene, I knew you had a good head on your shoulders hahaha." His smile quickly turned into a frown, the glare in his face piecing into Renta's very skull, making the latter flinch.

"However, you made the mistake of crossing my son. Not directly of course, but you threatened his younger sister. As far as I am concerned, she is my daughter by extension and I would give the world to any of my dear children." Don said, leaning forward.

"Since this is the first time, and a by extension case, you will get off easy signore. Take note however, that you should never cross a Dunnavanty."

Don Dunnavanty turned his head to his left. "Allow me introduce you to the next Head of MEXT School Carrier Division." He said, a que for the person just happening to walk towards the trio at this time.

Earl Dunnavanty replied as he continued to move towards the trio.

"Technically, my brother Charles will be the next head in name only, a decision brought upon factoring in his adventurous spirit." Earl said, explaining upon what his father revealed just before.

"I'll be overseeing the day to day operations until I can find proper personal up to the task. In short, yes. I am the unofficial Head of MEXT's School Carrier Division."

Earl stopped at arms length from Renta. He held out a tablet, on it was a list of digital signatures. "As you can see, the other members are in unanimous support of this change." He said, pulling back his arm a few moments after allowing Renta to look.

Earl then turned, presenting the same tablet to Shichiro and even allowed him to grab it with his own arms.

"We also collected multiple evidence of you abusing your power to settle personal grudges. From a business standpoint, this is rather appalling." Earl stated, turning his back to the Japanese administrator. "I doubt that, once word of this comes to light, you will ever find yourself in such a favorable position again."

With those words, he paused to collect the tablet from Shichiro then walked off in the opposite direction from when he arrived.

Don Dunnavanty sat up, walking over to the now frazzled Renta Tsuji. "There you have it signore. My sons shall take over your duties from now on."

The Italian paused, standing directly in front of the clearly disturbed man. Don smiled, laughed even before speaking once more.

"Oh, and Signore Tsuji? Allow me to officially state this, in case you didn't get the message."

Dun Dunnavanty leaded his head forward, whispering into the former official's ear the sum of everything the latter fear in that moment.

"You're fired."

Several dozen minutes passed as the remaining All-Star Corps pulled off the field and back to where the audience and their defeated members waited for them.

Moki was sitting on top of his tank turret, his feet dangling inside the hatch he popped out of as he hummed a little tone with a smile on his face. He was in high spirits. After all, after all this time apart he came back into his sisters' lives in such a big way.

Emily's T32 pulled up to his right, the American commander emerging from her own hatch. "You've pulled if off once again, Commander." She said with a salute.

"Ah not by myself of course." Moki humbly replied, returning the salute with a lazy, two finger one. "You were a big help handling Stage Two."

"Yes well, that is to be expected of someone with my background." Emily replied, lowering her hand. "Childs play really, which is why that I request that during the next operation you assign a more daunting task or more responsibility to myself." She turned her gaze for a moment, blushing as she spoke these words that had a hidden meaning.

"I...I want to prove myself to you..That I'm worth to..to stand by your side."

Moki blinked a few times before bursting in laughter, must to the dismay of his trusted partner.

"W-why are yo-"

Moki held up one hand, calming down soon after. With a smile, he answered her feelings. "You have already proven yourself Emily. To me, you are one of the few I can trust to carrying out my plans to the letter. It's rare to find a subordinate like that, and I'm fortunate enough to meet her right away. So I want to thank you. Thank you for sticking with me for all this time and I hope that we can continue working together long into the future."

Emily's head turned bright red as she pulled it back a bit. "I-I..I...Y-you're welcome.." She flustery manages to mouth out. "And...I am honored by...by your trust in me."

"Want me to tell Aharon to pull closer so you can give her a kiss Commander?" Calida teased, speaking loud enough for the already flustered Emily to hear.

"Ki-ki-kiss?!" Emily said, eyes widening at the very thought. She sank into her tank, mind overloaded.

"Now look what you done Calida." Moki said with a laugh, peeking down through the hatch. "You've broken Emily."

The Greek let out a laugh. "Ah, a maidens heart is such an easy thing to tease."

"True enough, but you shouldn't pick on our Lieutenant so much." Rachie warned. "You do remember how scary she can be when provoked correct?"

"Έna mikro timema." Calida replied with a shrug. "Especially when its so entertaining."

"Hey, I thought that you had a thing for the Commander." Daila cut in, placing her hands on her hips. "Why you playing matchmaker if you got feelings for him?'

"I'm Greek Daila, we are always fine loving in pairs of three." Calida answered.

"So that joke about the Greeks and Romans then..." Aharon added.

"Nai, all true."

Moki's crew broke out in a bit of laughter at that point, Moki roared right along with them. They calmed down a few minutes after, by then they could clearly see the large metal rows where the audience members watched their performance.

A large crowd gathered along their travel path, mainly the girls of Ooarai and their friends still dressed in the mentioned school's uniform as well as several members of his All-Star Corps.

The M48A1 Patton slowed to a halt before the group of cheerful individuals. Moki hopped off the tank, only having time to settle his footing when the crowd rushed him while the Patton rolled off to get loaded up for departure.

Various voices all called out, offering their congratulations, heart felt thanks, and otherwise praising the man on a job well done.

"All right, all right!" Moki let out a laugh. "I get it, thank you for the kind words!"

Several of the more responsible individuals started to herd the crowd back at that point -key among them were Akio, Aki, and Akira whom often served as bodyguards for their commander during times like this-, and making them form a line, allowing only a few to approach this popular man at a time.

First among them was Mar von Rikter, follow behind by his sister Elsa whom had a small bandage on her forehead.

He took off his commander hat, pressing it against his chest. "My apologies for our performance kommander, we shall do better next time.

"What are you talking about?" Moki shook his head, patting the German on his shoulder. "The Wolf Pack did a wonderful job. No need to apologize for that."

Mar looked into the eyes of his commander, nodding a few times as his gaze lowered toward the ground.

"Right, right. Danke kommander." He said, turning to leave. Elsa waved quick but otherwise said nothing as she followed her brother.

As the German stepped away, Brianna and Hew stepped up. The latter chuckling as he approached Moki first.

"That was fun!" The Scotsmen said, taking Moki's hand and shaking it with both of his. "We pinned their T95 down for yea boyz for a long while, enough to make a difference yeah?" Hew waited for Moki to nod in reply, then wrapped his arm around the Japanese man.

"Aye, that's good then. But let me tell you something here Commander, next time maybe yea think bout using us as a rearguard? Me and my boyz always wanted to pull a tribute to them Spartans at Thermopolis, you know what I'm asking of yeah? You wouldn't mind just doing this wee bit favor for us eh?"

"Sure thing Hew," Moki replied with a chuckle. "I actually want to see how the King's Guard fights in a rearguard action for awhile now anyway."

"That's the stuff me boy!" Hew happily said, slapping Moki in the chest. "Ye won't be disappointed, I assure you that Commander!"

"Yes, yes dear. Now back off before you suffocate the good man." Brianna stepped up, forcing her way between the two.

"Aye, aye lassy." Hew stepped away, walking backwards as he kept talking to the pair. "I'ma go with the boyz and drink some good old whisky! The stuff that puts chest hairs on young lads, you know what I'm saying? Hahahaha!"

As the Scotsman left, Brianna let out a chuckle. "Never a dull moment with the Scottish." She turned to face her commander. "Congratulations on a job well done, dear. I'm sure that adorable younger sister of yours is eternally proud of you."

"Thank you, and congrads on getting in the final kill shot." Moki said with a smirk. "Excellent work as always."

"What's there to say, dear?" Brianna closed her eyes, smiling. "Clearing up mice is our specialty. Now do excuse me, there is an particular individual, Darjeeling I believe, that I am told shares a resemblance to myself. My curious mind wishes to confirm this with my own eyes, and engage in conversation as this individual comes from a school styled after my homeland."

"Of course." Moki gave a bit over the top salute. "Dismissed. And do enjoy yourself."

"Oh I shall, Commander." Brianna smirked, returning the salute before gracefully exiting his presence.

Rachie approached next, fully into her secretary duties. Moki let out an amused "hmff" as she approached.

"Here's an update commander," She said with a quick salute, pulling out a tablet and scrolling down as she listed her reports off. "Bane has taken the Headhunters ahead and begun loading their equipment for the ride home."

"Ha, never been one to celebrate." Moki replied.

"Indeed. Additionally, Kira and her subordinates are already drinking in celebration to this victory. Best to give them a wide berth as usual...And pray that Hew's crew doesn't join them like before." Rachie continued, adjusting her glasses before finishing her report.

"Also, Izak asked me to pass this bit of news along with him. Seems Laura feels embarrassed for her actions at the end of the match and would like you to help cheer her up. Seeing as she idolizes you and all."

"Right, I'll head over once I finished up here." Moki replied. Rachie smiled, gave a simple "very good", bowed her head, turned a full 180, and headed off.

The next few batches where the high schoolers from various schools that arrived to assist Ooarai when they first heard of this heavily stacked match. Each offered their praise in their own unique way, except Katyusha whom gloated on how better of a job she would have done. Though, this loli girl gave a rare complement for Kira and Zeno whom in her eyes showed the true spirit of the old Soviet ways.

After that concluded, the Sensha-dou team from Ooarai showed started to appear before him. Each thanking Moki for fighting on their behalf and saving their school. Some hugged him, some cried in joy, others did both. Moki heard each of them out with a smile, replying to each in kind. He didn't feel like he deserved it though, yes he saved the school but that was only on behalf of his sister Miho. Regardless, Moki went through the motions. Deserved or not, he was a hero in these girls eyes now.

Most of these teams came and went when the student council team stepped up. Anzu leading, Momo and Yuzu on her left and right respectfully. The trio bowed to Moki, smiling as they rose their heads before introducing themselves in turn.

"First, on behalf of every student that attends Ooarai Highschool, we wish to express our heart filled thanks." Anzu said in a rare show of her serious demeaner.

"No need to thank me," Moki repeated for the countless time today. "I simply acted to save my little sister's happiness is all."

"Well, saving our school is a result of that reason." Anzu countered. "Regardless of intentions, that is a fact of what happen so, we offer our thanks."

"Think nothing of it." Moki closed his eyes, laughing. "I see that you are rather good at making arguments. Tell me, have considered going into politics?"

Anzu smiled, grinning her teeth in a laugh. "You know I haven't really though about that. Maybe I could even make it to Prime Minister. What do you think, Momo? Yuzu?"

"You're far too laid back." Momo answered.

"If you actually did work perhaps..." Yuzu replied in an awkward, cheery way.

"What's wrong with being laid back? And doing work is what I have the ministers around for. I'd just sit around eating potato skins, sign a few papers, and show up to press conferences every now and then. Easy."

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the best Prime Minister candidate ever.

"You should like what most people think politicians act hehe." Moki said, drawing attention back to himself.

"Speaking of, there is one man I can think of that will probably fight us on this win." Anzu said, eyes narrowing a little bit. "He'll say that this match doesn't count since the Ooarai team hadn't fought and maybe force us to rematch."

"If you are talking about the Renta whatever guy, there is no reason to worry." Moki replied. "My father and oldest brother are working out a plan to deal with him permanently. You can't do much against the most powerful family on the world market."

"Really? Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Momo cut in, stepping forward until she was nearly next to Anzu.

"Yes, your school isn't going to be threatened ever again." Moki grinned his teeth in a smile. "You never mess with a Dunnavanty, or those that come into their good graces."

Momo started to tear up. "Its true then? We don't have to worry about our school closing down anymore?" Moki nodded in confirmation. Momo immediately started to ball her eyes out, much like a child. It was a bit embarrassing to say the least.

"Looks like we really are in your debt this time." Anzu said, taking a set away from her crying friend. Yuzu stepped over, petting Momo's head as a sign of reassurance.

"We need to repay you for this." Anzu placed her hands on her hips. "I can give you lots of potato skins if you want."

Moki raised his hands up. "Hey, I had nothing to do with that move. It's all my father and brother Earl."

"True, but again it never would've happened if you didn't act to begin with." Anzu countered, raising a finger. "So as the source, we should repay you for all you've done for us!"

"You really don-"

"-I insist." Anzu cut him off. "This school of ours...It's a special place for the three of us. I mean the others too, but we have a lot of memories there you know? So let us repay you for protecting such a place that we hold dear to our hearts."

Moki let out a breath, summiting to that logic. He could understand what Anzu was saying. Places hold sentimental value as much as objects given by people you love.

"Ok, ok, ok. I hear you." He said, lowering his hands. "Well...If you really wanna repay me..." Moki placed a hand on his chin, thinking carefully on what he could possibly want. His mind raced through the possibilities of what these three student body members could give him that he couldn't get otherwise.

It would have more meaning for all involved if we chose something like that.

Time passed as Moki concluded that there wasn't anything material these three could give that he couldn't get through his family's connections. So, he went on thinking about tasks these three could do for him.

Outside of trivial matters he could have anyone do, there wasn't anything in particular that came to mind...

Except...

Moki's gaze focused on Yuzu. He slowly looked her up and down, the young girl shifting her feet nervously as she realized he was gazing at her.

Moki napped his fingers, eyes returning to Anzu.

"How about a date?" He said, all cheery like.

Yuzu blinked a few times, then pointed toward herself. "You mean with me?"

Moki nodded. "Yeah, I think you are perfect."

"P-perfect?" Yuzu blushed.

Anzu smirked. "Oh? So that's your answer eh? Well that's fine~"

"President!" Momo, whom snapped out of her crying fit just before Moki's answer, called out. She spun to face her friend, placing her hands on Anzu's shoulders. "Are we really gonna sell out Yuzu to satisfy the needs of an older man?"

"He's not that old." Anzu closed her eyes, smiling. "Only a year or two at most. Who are we to get in Yuzu's way of finding love? Besides, it's not like Moki there is gonna take advantage of her! It's just a date Momo."

"You think you can offer up a date as a sort of prize?"

"Sure, I don't see why not."

"Pres-no, Anzu as your friend I need to point out, THAT IT IS TOTALLY WRONG!"

"I...I don't mind Momo-chan." Yuzu said, face still red. "I mean, he's attractive enough but...I-I just need a moment to settle down."

"That maybe, but that doesn't mean-"

"Oh hahaha, sorry. I didn't make myself clear." Moki interrupted Momo, scratching the back of his head. "I didn't mean that the two of us should go on a date."

"Then, what did you mean?" Anzu asked with honest curiosity.

"You see, I have an apprentice. His name is Yura and he's a good kid." Moki slid his hand to the back of his neck, glancing to the side.

"Well I shouldn't say kid, after all he's only a year younger than me. Point is, he follows my orders and listens to what I tell him so faithfully I want to give him a reward you know?"

Moki glanced back at Yuzu. "I can read people pretty well, so I can tell that you are a good person. In fact, I think you and Yura are a lot alike so I figure why not have the two of you hook up?"

He lowered his hand before continuing. "Now I'm not saying for you to become his girlfriend, no way do I want to pressure you into that. I simply want you to help me help him have a good time you know? Given everything going we do, it's hard to enjoy going out on dates and such. If you don't want to though, that's fine. I'm sorry for putting you on the spot like this."

"N-not. It's fine." Yuzu replied, managing to settle herself down a bit.

"I would introduce you, but he has a tendency to disappear after a match." Moki continued. "If you give me your number, I'll arrange a day where you two can meet up."

Momo let out a sigh. "So you're playing matchmaker and having us help out as repaying you for saving our school?" She said, placing her hand over her eyes. "I...ok I guess this is fine...I need to sit down."

"Done deal I say, isn't that right Yuzu?" Anzu chimed in, clapping her hands together as she spoke.

"R-right." Yuzu smiled, bowing her head. "Thank you for choosing me."

"No, thank you for agreeing." Moki said. "And I'm sorry, I have a hard time making my intentions known to people who don't really know me. I tend to be cryptic at times. Saying one thing but meaning something else, you know deception and all."

"It's fine, it's fine." Anzu answered, waving her hand back and forth. "Thanks for everything! See you around Miho's big brother!"

Moki let out a sigh, giving the trio a somewhat forced smile as he waved them goodbye. Only one rather large group remained and by far the most important to Moki. As such, Akio and his siblings bowed to their commander and left to celebrate this victory in their own fashion.

"Good show out there little bro!" Charles called out to him, approaching with Ooarai's Anglerfish team, Maho, and what appeared to be a subordinate of the latter (it's Erika). "It's always entertaining when you write the script."

"Hey, thanks bro! Glad you enjoyed my performance." Moki called back, holding up his left hand. 'Seems like he's been socializing again.' He mentally concluded.

After lowering it, Moki's focus shifted to his sisters. "Maho, Miho, told you your big bro could do it."

Maho nodded. "Splendidly done."

"Not that we couldn't do better." Erika managed to sneak in under her breath.

"I was surprised." Miho said. "I never knew that you were so good at strategy. I mean, from last night I knew you were good, but not on the level we seen."

"It was incredible!" Saori added. "You have the enemy dancing in the palm of your hand!"

"You made it look so easy." The mellow Mako Reizei casually threw in.

"That final duel between your M48A1 Patton and their Centurion Mk.1 A41 was intense!" The tomboy looking Yukari Akiyama said, jumping out with eyes sparkling. "The two of you were fighting with everything you could pull out of those two tanks!"

"And it was crazy seeing two tank cannons being used as swords." Hana added. "I never knew you could even do that."

"Well that was a show of our fighting spirit." Moki answered with a laugh. "I like to fight determined foes one on one. You can understand someone a lot by fighting like that."

"Indeed, it is a rather admirable yet risky maneuver." A voice known to many of the crowd gathered around Moki. Everyone turned toward the source; a mature looking woman in her typical business dress.

Mother of Moki, Maho, and Miho: Shiho Nishizumi.

"Hello...Moki..."

An awkward silence fell upon the open grassland, as Moki fought against raw emotions all screaming to be unleashed upon this very woman before him.

"...Mrs. Nishizumi..." He managed to say, keeping his composure for the time being. Moki couldn't call her mother, not after everything that happened. No, she didn't deserve it. Least that's how Moki felt, not that anyone could blame him.

Charles looked to his younger brother, noticing the pain he was trying to repress on his face. "What are you doing here?" He asked on behalf of his brother as he turned toward Moki's biological mother.

Shiho gazed at Charles for a long moment, then, slowly, returned her focus to her first born.

"I wanted to...congratulate you." She started. While her voice retained that usual strength behind it, anyone who truly knew Shiho could tell: She was struggling to find the right words. "That was a well fought match. Truly worth watching."

Moki simply stared at his mother for a few moments. He tilted his head, honestly confused for a moment then burst out laughing the next. The high schoolers caught between these two turned their heads to Moki, wondering why the latter was laughing.

"Pff. If you think a few words of praise can mend the bond between us, then you are more of a fool than I though you were." Moki said between laughs. "You need to put far more effort into it."

"That's..." Shiho closed her eyes, taking in a breath. "I am simply here to offer my praise to you, Commander of the All-Star Corps, for your efforts today."

"I see." Moki said, pulling his head up as he glared at Shiho. "Befitting of someone from your position I suppose...Now that I have proven myself to you."

"Yes." Shiho bluntly replied, reopening her eyes. "You've become someone far greater than I ever expected. Strong, just like your fath-"

"-Don't." Moki lowered his head, face portraying a cold type of anger. "You of all people have no right to mention him."

"...Of course." Shiho complied. "I see that my coming here was a mistake."

"Oh was it now?" Moki replied, turning his head slightly as he spoke. "How many mistakes does this make, hmm? How. Many."

Charles took a step between his brother and Shiho. "Maybe we should-"

"-Charles, I love you, but right now you need to back off." Moki said, holding out a hand towards his close brother. "This...This is something that she had coming for years now. Let it be."

Charles gave his brother a sad look, holding up his hands in defeat before stepping back to where he once was.

"You, you have never understood anything!" Moki continued, swiping an arm to his side. "Raising me till I was 7, casting me aside when I was nothing more then a disappointment in your eyes, and robbing me of a normal life with my younger sisters! Everything you decided to do never factored in one shred of human decency did it?!"

"Every action you made at home was no different then at work, wasn't it?! Just business, another trivial piece of data in the ever continuing machine of society right?! Those decisions of yours killed the only person who stayed with me through that ordeal! I was saved not long after yes, and I am forever thankful to my current family but you..."

"You, thinking that all the suffering you put me through can so easily be mended by a simple gesture. A move that doesn't even register a fraction of all the negative emotions and thoughts I have towards you. And thank god that my darling sisters and elder brother are here! Otherwise I would've unleashed everything I'm keeping locked inside my heart against you right now!"

Moki paused a few moments, breathing heavily as his face turned red during the last bit he shouted at Shiho.

The latter held her ground, simply taking it all. Shiho knew that she owed him this at least.

Moki straightened himself, flashing his teeth in anger.

"You're not even worthy of having a family."

Shiho closed her eyes, breathing deeply. She deserved this, she knew and yet...

"I..." She started. "I am far from the ideal mother. I know. I have...no idea how to raise a child. Much less three." She opened her eyes, a hint of true regret flashing through her otherwise emotionless face.

"I still don't know what I'm doing. I'm...trying. I truly am. All to make up for my past mistakes, or at least my attempt to do so." Shiho tilted her head, giving Moki a slight smile. "Despite my inadequacies, I say my daughters -your sisters- are turning out fine so far, wouldn't you?"

This caught everyone present off-guard, especially Shiho's children. Their mother, actually showing a hint of emotion? Or motherly pride?

Moki's eyes went wide and, unexpectedly, a portion of the hatred he harbored in his heart dissipated never to be felt again.

He lowered his gaze, a sad smile formed on his face. Moki walked forward, the girls before him stepping out of his way. He looked at Maho and Miho as he passed, quickly rubbing the top of their heads as he went. Moki walked past his mother, saying one last thing to her before heading off to join his subordinates in their celebrations.

"You've got that right...but that won't mean I'll ever forgive you." Moki glanced at Shiho the moment he past her by. "Especially after what you've done to your husband."

Miho and her friends, Maho, Erika, and Charles watched Moki go until he appeared no bigger that a single finger.

Charles let out a sigh. "Sorry bout that ladies." He said, drawing their attention. "That was a bit too dramatic for my taste."

"No need to apologize." Maho was the first to reply. "No one here is at fault."

"Ah yeah well..." Charles rubbed the back of his head. "I guess you're right. You really are mature for you rage huh?"

"Of course she is!" Erika cut in. "Maho is our calm, cool, collected commander! Even something like this wouldn't phase her!"

Charles let out a chuckle. "Yeah, I got that impression." He held out his hand to Maho. "It was a pleasure meeting you, little sis from another miss."

"Likewise...Brother Charles." Maho replied, grabbing then shaking the hand.

Charles smiled at that, holding out his hand to Erika next. It took an elbow from Maho to get her to shake however, but she did it properly.

The young Dunnavanty turned and shook the hands of Mako, Yukari, Hana, and Saori in turn. Each offering a reply that either earned Charles's respect or simply made the man laugh which is just as good.

He turned to Miho last. "Thank you for your company, little sis Miho." Charles said, holding his hand out.

Miho took it, smiling. "And thank you for sharing those stories with us. It's fun hearing what trouble you guys get into."

Charles laughed as a reply, bowing his head. "I haven't even told you the half of it." He said with an amused smile. "I'll be seeing you Ooarai girls soon enough. Goodbye now."

Charles turned in the direction Moki left in and walked off that way. He gave a casual wave to Shiho, but otherwise left her alone.

The high schoolers followed a few minutes after, most of them doing or saying nothing to the mother of Maho and Miho except make sure they didn't bump into her.

Time seemed to pass by quickly as Shiho held her ground for no apparent reason other than to sort out the conflicting mix of unfamiliar emotions and thoughts plaguing her mind.

The sun started to set before Shiho heard the rustling of grass coming behind her.

"You must be Shiho Nishizumi." The elderly, yet warm voice of Don Dunnavanty called out. "It is an piacere inaspettato to finally meet you."

Shiho turned around, facing the old, kimono wearing man. Don leaned on the cane he carried, giving the mature woman before her a smile.

"My name is Don Dunnavanty, the one whom raised dear Moki as my own flesh and blood."

"I see." Shiho simply replied before bowing a bit more than she normally would. "Thank you for taking care of Moki after I abandoned him."

"I should be thanking you." Don replied with a chuckle. Confused, Shiho rose her head, eyebrow raised.

"I should be thanking you for placing Moki in my life." Don repeated, explaining his meaning. "Moki is such a talented young man. So much potential in him it's rather alarming haha. He is a good boy. Always did what was asked of him. I love him as dear as any of my sons. They all make me proud to be their father, be it by blood or bond."

"I'm...glad my husband was right about him." Shiho replied. "He would've been just as proud I'd imagine."

"Yes, and yet that is the reason why Moki has an understandable anger towards you." Don said, placing a hand on his chin. "Normally, anyone who has earned any of my precious sons' anger would also earn my own, yours is a rather special case."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning, I am in your debt Signora Nishizumi." Don pointed his cane at Shiho. "You are the reason why I have 4 sons instead of 3, which is why I came to say this to you personally."

"If there is anything, anything at all you heart desires or simply need assistance with, let me know." The Italian continued, moving his cane back toward the ground. He took a few steps forward, handing a small business card to the mother of his adopted child. She took it, taking a moment to read it.

"That is my personal number." Don said with a smile. "If anything happens, call this number and I shall do anything within my power that you ask of me, which quite frankly is just about everything this world has to offer."

Shiho placed the card in one of her shirt pockets. She bowed her head once more. "Thank you Mr. Dunnavanty, I will certainly do so if the need arrives."

Don let out a laugh. "No need to be so formal. We are practically family, you and I."

Shiho lowered her head more. "Thank you for your kindness."

"Of course, of course." Don smiled, turning to leave. "We Dunnavanties repay our debts, good or bad. Have a good day, signora."

Meanwhile...

Alice Shimada walked, head hung low, towards the spot her mother was to meet her after the match.

She drew out the time as best she could; overseeing her team's loading of equipment and tanks, listening to her subordinates attempts of cheering her up, even briefly conversing with a select few from the All-Stars. (Though in the latter case, it was more one-sided between Alice's shy nature and the fact her voice was a bit strained from all that yelling earlier.)

As the sun began to set, Alice knew she couldn't delay things any further and with dread in her chest went to reunite with her mother.

After a few more steps, Alice rose her head and gazed at the path before her.

Waiting ahead was her mother; Chiyo Shimada, twirling her umbrella. However, she wasn't alone.

Next to her stood a man dressed like a modern spin of how noblemen looked during the age of European kings. The two of them were conversing, and seemed to enjoy each others company.

Now curious, Alice hurried to the pair. Chiyo and the stranger noticed the little girl approach. "Oh there you are Alice." Her mother said, closing her eyes. "It took awhile to clean up this time huh?"

Alice nodded simply. "Sorry for taking so long."

"Nonsense! It is perfectly acceptable young Alice!" The stranger said, raising one hand up in the air while placing the other on his chest. "The two of us enlighten individuals made use of the time spent conversing in various topics relating to those who can appreciate the finer bobbles of life."

He bowed, crossing one leg behind the other, to Alice. "Pardon the late introduction, my name is Princeton Dunnavanty, 2nd eldest and most cultured son of Don Dunnavanty." Princeton rose his head, settling into a normal standing stance.

"You fought valiantly against my youngest brother Moki. Well done! Your passion during the final moments of the match were awe inspiring! In fact, I have an inkling of a poem formulating in my genius mind. Would you care to hear this grand tribute to your fighting spirit thus far?"

"Another time perhaps." Chiyo answered for her daughter. "We have much grander pressing matters to bring to her attention."

"But of course! How careless of me," Princeton said with the turn of his head. "May I trouble you to share this joyous news? Or perhaps you wish to deliver this good news to young Alice personally?"

"Seeing as this news involves the two of us, I think it best that honor falls onto both of us." Chiyo replied with a casual smile.

"Ah, Madam Shimada, your genius knows no bounds!" Princeton proclaimed, pointing a finger up in excitement. "In that case, ladies first if you would please."

Chiyo gave a slight curtsy, offering her thanks to the gentlemen. She stepped to her daughter, smiling. "My dear daughter," She began. "I know we made a deal before this match. About what I would do for you should you win against the Nishizumi style."

"Yes..." Alice tensed up, looking down at the ground. The reason she fought was childish, but important all the same.

Alice managed to convince her mother to support the only Boko Museum Park she found in the area. Boko is a character bear she adored -ironically something Alice had in common with Miho, as they first met at this very same amusement establishment - whom always gets beat up in every fight he's ever been in. Yet this was part of the appeal of the character.

Unfortunately, not many in the area shared her tastes. This particular establishment was scheduled to close within a few months time. Alice's hope was to get her mother to provide financial support to this museum park.

A condition Chiyo agreed should Alice win this match.

A match she lost in spectacular fashion.

This is the reason why Alice took so long to show up before her mother. To prepare for that disappointment.

"I have watched this match closely, as I told you prior." Chiyo continued, placing her hand on the top of Alice's head. "You fought very hard against an unexpected enemy. You showed me how brave you can be, fighting for what you desire. It touched me deeply, my precious Alice."

Alice relaxed at her mother's touch, raising her head up to look at Chiyo. The latter moved her hand to the side of Alice's head, stroking her cheek a few times as she smiled.

"After seeing that surprising show of spirit, I've decided to sponsor that museum park you asked me to as a reward for your efforts."

Alice's eyes widened with joy. This was completely unexpected! Unexpected, but a source of great joy!

"This is but the frosting on the cake, my young Alice." Princeton cut in, stepping to Chiyo's side. "Upon several lines of conversation with your generous mother prior to these events, I have also decided to add to your reward!"

Chiyo Shimada turned her self to face the 2nd son of the Dunnavanty family, gently pushing her daughter to do the same.

"Yes indeed! For this is something I'm sure will bring you even greater joy!" Princeton continued. "I made a few calls, and as of 1 hour ago, the Dunnavi Organization owns the rights to the entirety of your favorite icon character! Meaning, that regardless of popularity, regardless of if you are the only individual whom is a true fan of this character, it shall continue for all eternity!"

Alice felt her heart beat in her chest. "Really?" She said, voice still strained but you could still tell the pure joy in it.

Princeton smiled, taking a knee to get as close to Alice's eye level as he could. He placed a hand upon her precious head, rubbing it as he spoke once more.

"Indeed. Not only will that museum of yours be saved, the entire brand shall continue for as long as I have a say in the matter. All thanks to your efforts out there little one."

Princeton withdrew his hand as he rose to his feet. He extended his arms out to his sides, looking up to the sky.

"How fortunate for you that I, Princeton Dunnavanty, am an active patron of the arts! Boko was it? I shall make it my personal goal that this Boko becomes the most popular childrens' icon in the whole world! The influence of the Dunnavai Organization knows no boarders! We shall spread the joy of Boko around the world on a grand campaign! Will you join me on this noble endeavor, young Alice?!"

"Yes!" Alice replied without any hesitation, even raising her own balled up fist in the air.

Chiyo found this sudden enthusiasm from her daughter adorable, she chuckled in amusement. "This of course will have to wait till another day." Chiyo leaned forward a little toward Alice. "Now what do you say to the generous man?"

Alice took a step away from her mother, bowing to Princeton.

"Thank you very much." She said in her usual tone of voice -with a hint of joy thrown in.

"You are most welcome, young Alice." Princeton replied as he lowered his head. "It is only the least of services I could conduct in honor of your inspiring actions." He bowed as well, in his classy styled way. "I have already provided your darling mother with the means to contact me at a later date to go over the details."

"For now, I must bid you farewell. Worry not however! We shall meet again, young Alice! For that, I promise you!"

Both Alice and Princeton rose their heads, bidding each other goodbye. The son of Don offered his goodbye to Chiyo, kissing the hand of the beautiful master of the Shimada style.

Princeton turned around, waving goodbye as he headed off to join his own family and toward their next event. It has been quite sometime since the five of them were all together in one place, so it is sure to be special.

Epilogue

2 weeks after the end of the match between the All-Stars Corps and University Selection team.

Aboard the particular, small school carrier ship that is home to Ooarai High School, the students and families of said students were settling back into their homes after the entire ordeal they lived through.

Thanks to the Dunnavanty Family, everything fell back into place like before. Only this time far better. Upgraded shipments of goods and supplies provided by the Dunnavi Organization improved the standard of living upon the school carrier, foreshadowing the times guarantied to come.

It was very exciting, as a steady supply of new items flooded the local markets providing everyone aboard with new experiences as objects familiar and foreign came aboard with the returning students.

While the summer break is still in effect, several upgrades to the very building itself were being implemented once again thanks to the Dunnavi Organization. The high schoolers all enjoyed the remainder of this time among their own friends as these turbulent times seemed to finally come to an end.

The sun was setting on this fine day, Miho and her close friends planned on eating dinner at the forward's apartment. Each carried at least two bags of food stuff they intended to cook for a type of curry dish.

"Did you see how Momo was all stiff today?" Saori asked to no one in particular as the group stopped before the door leading to their destination. "What do you think that was all about?"

"I think I hear Anzu mentioning that Yuzu had a date or something tomorrow." Yukari answered, looking up. "Could that be the reason why?"

"What she has a date?!" Saori asked all ecstatic. "Who with?"

"I'm not sure-"

"Door's open everyone!" Miho called back to her friends, entering her apartment. "I'll grab the pot and-"

"HEY THERE LITTLE SISTER!" A familiar voice cried, followed by a short yell from Miho that startled everyone.

All of Miho's present friends ran into the apartment, taking in the sight of Moki rubbing his cheek against Miho's as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Did you miss me Miho? Cause I missed you soooooo much!"

"Th-this is a surprise." Miho replied, one eye closed as her brother showed his affection. "I wasn't expecting you to show up tonight."

"Oh I know Miho, and I'm sorry." Moki replied, a single hiccup left his mouth before he continued. "I-I meant to tell you awhile ago, but with your mom showing up it reallllllyy set me off. I couldn't think straight, you see? So I sorrryyyy."

"Why are you talking like that?"

"Cause I've been drinking~" Moki answered, released his sister, crawling on his hands and knees over to a large glass bottle almost half the size of his arm. Inside was only a fourth of the total liquid left. Moki grabbed the bottle, sat, and turned around with the object in his lap.

"I drink when I don't need to think. Soooooo I'm a bit weeeeeeeeee right now."

"Oh my." Hana simply said, placing the plastic bags she held on a counter nearby, everyone else followed her example as Hana stepped towards the intoxicated man. "Are you sure you're gonna be fine like this?"

"Totz yeah hahaha." Moki let his head bobble back and forth a little. "Rachie is nearby, ready to pick me up at a m...*burp* Moments notice. We got it covveeerrreddd. Reeelllllaaaaaxxxxxxx."

"I don't know if I'm ok with this!" Saori stated, bringing her hands to the side of her heads. "I mean, what if he assaults one of us, trying to steal a kiss?"

Miho closed her eyes, letting out a slight laugh as she gave one of those 'did you really?' faces.

Moki pointed his finger towards the orange haired high schooler.

"Listen here, I have three b-beautiful ladies who are totally into me, so who needs you all?" Moki let out a laugh, then frowned as he took a more serious tone.

"N-not that I mean any offense by that. You all are really attractive in your own rights, especially Hana, cause you are all." He made a few choice hand gestures aimed at portraying Hana's figure.
"But...but look. I got available options...You don't gotta worry bout nothin with me here." Moki finished, taking another drink of what remains of his liquor.

"We're about to make some curry, do you want some too Mr. Moki?" Yukari asked, already taking out the utensils needed as Mako lazily pulled out the ingredients.

"S-sure...Why not!" Moki replied. "And no neeeeed to call me mistaaaa. Just call me Moki. Except Miho, you better call me big bro at least once tonight."

Miho forced out a chuckle. "Of course I will. Big brother."

Moki let out a low laugh, but otherwise didn't say anything. He didn't say much of anything for the next while in fact as these girls put together their group made curry. Moki smiled, watching these close friends work.

It made him happy, knowing that his younger sister had a group of friends like this. Individuals that she could trust.

Soon enough, the curry dish was compete. The girls set the small, single table in Miho's apartment up with plates, silverware, drinks, and the main dish in the center of it all.

"So is there a reason why you came over tonight?" Hana asked as she set her 1st portion on her plate. "Aside from seeing Miho of course."

"Yeah, I mean this sudden appearance is rather suspicious." Yukari added. "Is there some sort of secret reason?"

"Like a declaration of love?" Saori said, showing off her obsessional topic.

"Hahaha, something like that." Moki replied, carefully scooping up curry onto his plate. "Yo-you got good instincts Hanananana."

Moki took a few bites from his food before continuing to answer. "My brother Earl came with an inter-interesting idea. So, once everything is set, this ship will be heading toward my school!"

"Wait, what?" Almost everyone replied in unison, except Mako whom was eating away without a care.

"He...he is thinkin bout doin cross training...classes...something like that..." Moki said, waving an arm in the air. "Bottom line, you all get to see the mobile island. Isn't that sooo...cccccoooooooooollllllllll?"

"We get to see the A.N.M.A?!" Yukari shouted in joy. "That's amazing!"

"Yea-Yeah, yeah Yukari!" Moki replied with just as much enthusiasm. "It's the best military college out there! People from all over the world gather! That alone is *BRRRUUPPP* THAT ALONE IS WORTH THE TRIP!"

Yukari cheered as her reply, totally into the idea as she could see in person all the different types of tanks from around the entire world the such a school surely has as a collection! For a tank otaku like her, this was a wet dream.

"Oh, and my brother Charles is the head of MEXT's School Carrier Department now." Moki stated matter of fact like. "So I can abuse his position to see you all whenever I want."

Moki turned his head toward his little sister, smiling. "Looks like we will be seeing more of each other from now on."

Here we are folks, the end of this tale. The end of Disowned Protégé and it is a long one too!

I think this is the longest entry for this story I've made, which is about the average I write for my main stories. And also quicker then normal, well that's cause it's the last one, motivation, the current situation, and so on.

I even skipped my usual yearly update on another story for this hahaha.

Wow, hard to believe now that I look back on this huh?

This is the second story I've finished since joining this site and what a journey it has been.

Well, I want to thank everyone for reading this story! It's been fun to see this come to life and catch the attention of so many of you!

Originally I planned on this particular end to be a little shorter, but I have a talent with making ideas on the fly and added that whole Yuzu bit there. I like her out of the minor characters the most. Reasons are obvious :D.

But yeah, I wasn't exactly sure on how I wanted to have Moki's and Shiho's confrontation at first. It needed to happen of course, but I didn't have a planned direction until I started writing it. There definitely needed to be conflict of course, that was a given, but overall how hard it was gonna be brought was the question, as well as the direction, was what I was all up in the air about.

That said, I think it came out perfect.

What do you all think about the ending? Or bout the series overall? Please let me know! I am a curious creature! Send those reviews about any comments or questions you guys have relating to this story and I'll answer them asap :)

Once again, thank you everyone for reading this story of mine! I hope you enjoyed it! See you around!
