Not going to lie I've had problems writing this chapter. I was trying to convey an idea and feel I did the best I could in implementing it. Next week I have the chapter set up to be easier for me to write and itll be better.

Chapter 3

As Izuku Midoriya sat in his seat pretending to listen to the ramblings of Present Mic he couldn't help but think on the events of the past hour. First, he had his confrontation with Bakugo, which surprised Izuku on how it went. Second, he met a nice girl his age that he was certain he would see in U.A. Finally, he took his hero exam which was ridiculously easy.

Flashback

"What do you want now Bakugo? I already told you when we returned to school months ago, I would no longer be your punching bag," said Izuku as he looked at a surprisingly calm Bakugo while in a battle stance. Currently the two were at the side of U.A. academy test facility, by the request of Bakugo.

"I needed to talk to you Midoriya, and after six months it couldn't wait anymore. We have a lot that needs to be said between the two of us, and after seeing your powers I know both of us will get into U.A.," Bakugo said as he looked Izuku in the eye. Izuku looked at Bakugo for a few moments before nodding.

"Alright, I can see your point. However, I will be the one to start this all things considered. Why were you such an asshole to not only me, but everyone around you? I've met your parents and they are some ridiculously good people. Your mom has an explosive personality, but still kind," said Izuku. Bakugo seemed to flinch, but he never dropped eye contact.

"That's fair, I guess. Let me star by saying I was forced to go into counseling sessions the past few months because of my mother. I was badmouthing you one day, and she couldn't stand it as you had saved my life. After a lot of discussions with Doctor Wright I was cured, for a word to use. So, don't interrupt me as I list off everything that made me into the asshole that I was.

"Ever since I was a toddler, I was praised for my powers by everyone I met, from young to old. I was told how I was the greatest and would one day be one of the greatest heroes to ever live. Unfortunately, no one ever curbed the ever-growing ego that was being born inside of me. Not even my own parents caught it, but that could be put on the fact I did so well in school. Essentially, I had a superiority complex from people always praising me, and never discouraging me.

"Another big problem came in how I viewed a hero. I viewed heroes as just people with the biggest and strongest quirks in the world. My hero, like yours, was All Might. We had two different reasons for it, and until recently I found your reason as the wrong one. I viewed All Might as the best hero, because no one could equal him. But there is more to being a hero, I learned this firsthand," said Bakugo with a serious look in his eye. Izuku raised an eyebrow.

"What experience are you talking about? What could have happened that changed your view on heroes?" asked Izuku in sincere curiosity. Bakugo looked up into the sky.

"It was the incident where you saved my life. I watched you get hit by a monster so strong several heroes couldn't do anything, and I thought my own weakness killed you. The guilt I had was shattering. Then in an instant you managed to awaken a quirk never seen before and deal with the monster as if it was fodder. You saved my life, the life of a bully who told you to go kill yourself. At first, I blamed you, but as I said counseling was good for me," said Bakugo. Izuku chuckled a bit.

"So, does this mean that you are no longer going to be a hyper-active go getter that I know you are?" asked Izuku jokingly. Bakugo just gave a tch in response.

"Don't be stupid you dumbass. I will still compete with you to be the best and I will be the one on top. I just have a better appreciation for competition and being a hero," said Bakugo in a voice like his normal self. Izuku nodded.

"So now I have a few questions that I need to ask you Midoriya, as they have been killing me for months. The most important is this., Why did you save me? I was your own personal bully that made your life a living hell. I told you to go kill yourself. I destroyed work you spent your life making. So why?" questioned Bakugo in something in a near begging tone. Izuku looked at his hand before smiling.

"It is a really simple answer Bakugo, and I'm shocked someone as smart as you couldn't figure it out. I'm a little disappointed considering you saw me chew out those pathetic heroes. I have a view on what a hero is, and I will follow it with all the strength in my body. A hero is someone who will save any person who needs it and do what is necessary, even sacrificing your own life. I watched you slowly die by the hands of that monster and all I saw when I looked at you was another person in need. Before I could think my body ran to save you. The funny thing is I can also tell you even with thought I still would've run into danger to save your life," said Izuku with a deep passion. Bakugo seemed to be absorbing the information for a few seconds.

"That's what I thought, but it is still something to hear. I guess where did you gain your confidence come from?" asked Bakugo.

"That was simple. I have lived my life with the dream of being a hero like so many others. Difference was no one, not even my own mother believed in me. I had no one to lean on and so I had no confidence. When I finally concluded, I only needed to believe in myself I gained the confidence you see. Why should I care about people who don't believe in me?" said Izuku in response. Bakugo nodded in agreement.

"Lastly, what happened with your quirk? I have never seen someone bloom so late in life and I know you didn't have it for your life as you would've used it by accident at some point," said Bakugo in a question tone. Izuku shook his head.

"In another time I may have told you where I got my power from, but not this one. If you want to know my secret your going to have to earn both my trust and friendship," said Izuku. Bakugo gave a small smirk.

"Isn't it ironic that you were chasing after me for so long, and the moment I come for you the tables have turned?" said Bakugo jokingly. The two laughed for a moment before the warning bell for the school went off. Bakugo nods and walks into the school, leaving Izuku alone.

Flashback end

'I still can't believe that Bakugo could change so much in six months. Whoever his councilor is was a miracle worker,' thought Izuku to himself. Suddenly Izuku was brought back to reality when he hears another kid his age begins to yell.

"YES SIR. I HAVE TWO THINGS TO SAY. FIRSTLY, TO THE BOY WHO IS DAYDREAMING BEHING ME, PLEASE SHOW SOME RESPECT TO THIS WELL-ESTABLISHED SCHOOL AND PAY ATTENTION. IT IS INCREDIBLY DISREPECTFUL AND IF YOU CAN'T YOU SHOULD LEAVE," said the kid with glasses. Izuku simply glared at the boy.

"Excuse me, but who are you to tell me what to do? You are not my parent, teacher, superior, or even classmate. You are just another applicant in this large pool who has a big head. If you have enough thought to focus on me, then you aren't trying to pass this test hard enough," said Izuku in response. The boy with glasses seemed to blush in shame before continuing his speech. The boy seemed to ignore the tongue lashing he received and returned to talking to Present Mic. Izuku went back to daydreaming until it was time for the practical exam began.

Time skip

As Izuku ran through the fake city filled with robots he couldn't help but feel as if it was two easy. With both Kanshou and Bakuya in hand he was easily gaining points. As Izuku turned a corner he was snuck up on by three robots worth three points. Izuku smiled

"This is way to easy," said Izuku. As the three robots leapt at Izuku, the young ma responded by making one quick spin around and cutting all three robots in half. Then Izuku jumped back as an energy beam was shot at his feet. Looking up Izuku saw a few two pointers in the windows of the two buildings in front of him.

"This is getting a little interesting," said Izuku as he threw his two weapons in the faces of two robots that were charging up energy attacks. Izuku then jumped behind a piece of rubble as the remaining robots fired. Izuku formed his bow and arrow and ran out of his cover.

Running out in the open Izuku began to fire his arrows rapidly into the machine heads, destroying about 10 before rolling out of another few beam blasts. Izuku made to attack but was struck in the back by another 3 pointer he didn't see.

"Gaaaaaaah," shouted Izuku as he was then struck by more beams of energy. While on the ground Izuku quickly put his hand on the ground and forced his energy out. Immediately a bunch of swords came out of the ground destroying the nearby robots and blocking incoming beams of energy.

"Alright so lesson one of Archer, never get overconfident. It always comes to bite you in the ass," said Izuku. He turned to the two buildings only to find the robots destroyed. He turned to see the boy with glasses running away.

"Really? Sigh," said Izuku as he began to run deeper into the fake city. As he made t deeper into the city, he noticed a bunch of people running in the opposite direction of where he was heading. Following his danger instinct, he ran in to find a giant robot coming his way.

"Oh boy, I do not think I have enough energy to make my ace weapon. Best follow the lead of everyone else and run away," said Izuku as he began to turn away to run. Suddenly a feminine yell was heard. Izuku turned to see Ochako Uraraka on the ground unable to move. Izuku deadpanned.

"Really?" questioned Izuku as he began to run to help the young girl he met earlier. He saw something in her and he was bound by his code to help him.

Flashback

As Izuku opened the door of U.A. testing area he heard a feminine squeal behind himself. Sighing Izuku quickly turned around and grabbed a falling female at the top of the steps. With great haste he pulled her deep into himself and backed away from the steps. After a few seconds the woman began to scream in embarrassment and pull away from Izuku.

"Thank you very much for catching me. My name is Ochacko Uraraka," Ochako said with a completely red face. Izuku gained an amused smirk,

"My name is Izuku Midoriya, the future hero of justice for this world," said Izuku in a plain tone. Ochako simply titled her head in curiosity.

"Hero of Justice? What type of hero is that?" asked Ochako. Izuku smiled and waved his head.

"It's just a dream I've had since I was young, nothing you need to worry yourself about. Although what type of hero do you wish to be, if I may ask?" questioned Izuku. Ochako looked at the ground in what could only be described as shame. Izuku raised an eyebrow.

"Well I kind of only want my hero license so I can help my parents with there work. They've always made sure I got whatever I wanted growing up, but they have been struggling lately. With my quirk I can help them out. I know its not anything heroic but…" said Uraraka. Izuku interrupted her.

"There is nothing wrong with that dream Uraraka. You aren't tying to be a hero per say, rather you wish to help your family however you can and that is fine. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Hey what is your quirk?" asked Izuku. Uraraka gave a small giggle as she lightly tapped Izuku and allowed for him to start floating.

"I have the ability to control the gravity of anything I touch. So far, I can only make things float and stop floating, but I'll get better with time. What about you?" asked Uraraka. Izuku raised one hand and formed a simple knife.

"I can give form to whatever weapon comes into my mind," said Izuku. Uraraka then proceeded to bug Izuku for a few minutes until the warning bell for the exam went off.

"oh no, I better off to my testing area. Good luck to you Izuku," said Uraraka as she ran off to her testing area. Izuku waved back at her as he left for his own area.

Flashback end

"Well lady luck it seems as if you throw me another obstacle. With the amount of energy I have left I will have to be smart," said Izuku to himself as he ran to Uraraka. In his hands he made Kanshou and Bakuya. In an instant he enlarged the weapon and cut through the debris, freeing Uraraka.

"Izuku?" asked Ochako. Izuku turned back to look at Uraraka with a serious look on his face. Izuku scanned Uraraka and found no injuries, so he turned back to the monster.

"Uraraka considering you were left behind there is probably others. I'm going to hold off this robot. Go search for others, ok," said Izuku. Ochako made to protest, but something stopped her. She nodded and ran out to search for others in need.

As Ochako got out of the area the giant robot made to put his foot down on Izuku. Izuku put his blades in an x-formation and made to block the attack. With all his remaining energy Izuku put energy into his arms and legs, preparing for an unending barrage of attacks.

As the foot landed on Izuku, the young man managed to push off the giant robot with great stress. Following up Izuku leapt up onto the robots foot and began to climb up to its head. Registering the man on its body the robot began to attack areas where Izuku was climbing. Izuku responded by moving out of the way or repelling the attack. Eventually the robot launched a punch that forced Izuku to jump onto the robots hand to avoid.

Quickly Izuku began to run up the robots arms. The robot raised its arm to the sky and began to charge a beam of energy from its face. Izuku grimaced. The robot shot its energy at Izuku and Izuku had to think quick to not die.

"Alright fine. Guess I'll pull it out!" shouted Izuku as he threw his weapons away and put his hands together. Focusing he began to form a sword like that of the Excalibur. Izuku's face began to scrunch up in focus. Right before the beam of energy could hit Izuku, the sword finished being forged.

"Excalibur Galantine!" shouted Izuku as he launched a torrent of fire to meet the beam of energy. Unexpectedly the flames met and overpowered the laser beams of the robot. Soon enough the fire reached the robot and incinerated the robot into melted metal. Izuku began to laugh in joy, until he realized he had wasted all his energy in one move.

"Oh no. I don't have any energy to catch myself. I'll survive and heal soon enough. Might as well go to sleep, won't hurt as much," said Izuku in acceptance as he prepared for pain. What he did not expect was to be slapped across the face by Ochako and float over the ground. That was when Izuku decided to go uncouncious.
