Soon. Soon the time will be right for his invasion. Soon enough, he'll prevent what the Apple of Enlightenment predicted, and continue his reign. He won't allow anyone to get in his way again. This time, no one will have that wretched Melody or any reference to his old life to try and guilt him into retreating.

This time, he will send this world and the rest of the universe into darkness, and it will stay that way. Ness, whoever that may be, will not stop him.

The Devil's Machine has ensured that much.

With that, his power was unrivalled. Nothing could hope to truly kill him off. He was borderline invincible in that state. The only weakness he had was the fact that he had, unfortunately, went a little too far when employing the Devil's Machine.

Hard not to go overboard when you're overwhelmed by sheer hatred for the bratty Earthlings that sang out your childhood song and made you go through a mental breakdown.

But he digressed. He couldn't leave this Machine unforunately, since he would probably become some god-awful abomination of pure power, one that's a complete moron to boot, and therefore he can't move to deal with the petty Earthlings and that Ness person himself, having to instead rely on...

Giegue sighed as he recalled the Starman's name...

Starman Jr, the same one who failed him before back during his original invasion despite his promising potential and career outlook, to kill off Buzz-Buzz and that Ness person before they became a serious threat to him.

Of course, Giegue fully expected the Starman to fail. Honestly, who wouldn't? It's the same Starman that got beaten by Ninten back when he was barely starting on his adventure. Of course he'll fail against Buzz-Buzz, who was far more competent than Ninten was back when he dealt with Starman Jr.

He soon recieved a report from his servants, and suprise, suprise, Starman Jr. got tossed aside like trash. Oh, how shocking. He didn't expect that at all.

But, this "Pokey" person... He sounded interesting. He could make a good pawn... Yes, he'll use that "Mani-Mani" Statue to manipulate him and a few other individuals into furthering his goals...

...

Eventually, Giygas- Giegue, learned that Pokey had become an advisor, and therefore a power controlling, the Mayor of Fourside alongside his father. Well, what it say? "Like Father, Like Son," as they usually say...

That couldn't be applied to it though. George, who it thought to be its father... Or maybe adoptive, it couldn't quite remember, had brought this whole situation down on it in the first place. It was no thanks to that man that it had to suffer being stuck in this Machine... This prison, where its mind could be disabled at any moment and have it forced to become a blind, idiot weapon of mass extinction.

Regardless, it knew that the situation for it was becoming bad for it quite quickly... Already, Ness has founded his fellow friends, and now sets out to kill it. And he's already managed to tear up most of its plans and beaten some of the Sanctuary Guardians.

And its idea for Starmen Deluxes and Supers to help weaken and kill off Ness had already been destroyed, setting free that one useful Human... Doctor Andonuts, if it remembered right.

At least he allowed for a way for that one promising servant... Pokey, to come and get here. It'll need him here to help coordinate its plans for it, since it felt that it may be making... slightly, irrational decisions.

...

Soon, a Final Starman came and informed it of Pokey's arrival. It allowed the boy to enter, and finally got to meet him with its own eyes.

"A pleasure to meet you at long last, Lord Giygas..." the fat, blue-skinned boy drawled inside his organic, spider-like time machine.

Huh.

Giygas...

That was its name?

It might be that... But it swore that it was something different. Something like Gyiyg, right?

... Regardless, it sent the general message that it was more or less pleased that the boy had finally made it this far. He had certainly proven himself to be a useful pawn, by any stretch.

"... A-ah, thank you, Lord Giygas?..." Pokey mused. It didn't know what the boy was looking or thinking of quite accurately, since his eyes were hidden by his hair.

Speaking of which, how did that boy even see with his hair covering his eyes?... It knew that it couldn't really talk, but how did that even work?

"... Um... Lord Giygas?" the Boy was just left there, waiting for it to command him.

But it didn't. It was too busy trying to remain sane and calm to actively do anything itself anymore, and was often going off on the silliest and fickle of topics.

So Pokey was pretty much left to his own devices, letting him hack into and learn more about both PSI and Giygas' technology... Eventually, he even learned how to disable it himself...

...

Giygas cursed whatever allowed Ness to somehow come here, to the distant past. It shouldn't have been possible. Humans, unless they had a stable machine like Pokey's, couldn't survive here.

Yet, Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo were all here, in robotic bodies, ready to move onto him after they had beaten its lieutenant Pokey. At least now it'll finally have the chance to kill them itself.

But... Pokey seemed to have something to say despite appearing to be beaten.

"I understand that you guys are already claiming to be heroes," Pokey conceded, "Well, it is a gazillion years too early for you to fight Giygas!"

It was mildly pleased by that statement. It certainly was far too early for them to even think about opposing it.

"You must feel pretty stupid to keep fighting without even knowing what Giygas looks like!" Pokey boasted, laughing.

Now it was confused. They did know what it looked like. It was right in front of them. How could they not know what it looked like?

"If you were to ever see Giygas, you'd be so petrified with fear, you'd never be able to run away!... That's how scary it is!" Pokey continued on, going on a rant.

It began to form a coherent, well-thought out idea for once in quite some time, and knew that something was off about the way that the Boy was talking...

"So, do you want me to turn off the 'Devil's Machine?'" Pokey challenged, a smug smirk on his chubby face.

Now it had gone into full panic mode at that statement, and it desperately used every PSI move, every compliment, every demand, anything it knew to stop Pokey from taking away its sanity. It couldn't let some Human do this to him! It- Giygas, Gyiyg, Giegue, whatever it was, it didn't matter, it just wanted to stay sane! It wanted to keep its mind, and stay as a sentient, physical being!

Unfortunately, those prayers would not be answered as Pokey easily turned off its sole connection to reality, "Well, prepare to be amazed!"

That... Was the last line Giygas heard, before it fell and was absorbed into darkness...

It could occassionally speak out, muttering something, anything, to try and connect to the world.

Nobody answered.

Sometimes it would hear that traitor speak, and it would try to locate him to no avail. That brat even called him an "All-mighty Idiot!"

Hard to locate a fat little brat in a time-mech when you're a swirling red-black mass of pure power and hatred after all.

... Soon, it heard something...

It was the Girl in Ness' team, Paula, if it remembered right.

She was... calling for help, talking about... friends... Praying that someone would keep them safe.

Friends...

What were friends?...

It sounded nice to it.

Could it have friends?

It would like to have friends.

They certainly felt a lot more better than the constant agony it was in...

It continued to rant and mutter about friendship, and love, until it felt something in it destablize.

... It would appear, that it would need to go to sleep now, but, it would wake up again eventually.

And when it did, it would like to know more about this concept of... friendship, of love.

It would like to know what it was like to have a family again.

...

Eventually, amidst the depths of empty space, Giegue... Giygas... Gyiyg woke up again, finally having a somewhat sane mind.

It noted that it was all alone in this world, with no planets, stars, meteors, comets, black holes-

Nothing, alive or not, was in sight.

It almost would've sighed in defeat, had it been able to, when it found one person alive, drifting all alone in space.

It came up to the odd capsule, looking at it with some curiosity. The Capsule seemed indestructible, being unable to harmed in any way, even by it of all things. It was an Absolutely Safe Capsule, and nothing it could do would harm it or whoever was inside it.

At least there seemed to be a window-like surface where it could look at whoever was contained within.

Had it not already understood the simple fact that it couldn't harm to capsule, it would've unleashed its full power on it, just to try and kill the brat inside.

The occupant of that Absolutely Safe Capsule...

Was Pokey, its traitorous lieutenant.

He was far, far older though. Unnaturally so, with refined, rich clothing.

The Old Man simply looked up at Giygas, and seemed nostalgic at the Alien Overlord's return.

Even though it could not hear Pokey speak, it could get a general idea of what he was saying. It had spent enough time with him to know what he was implying and talking about back when Pokey was a loyal lieutenant.

The two talked, and shared their tales...

Pokey spoke of his days as King Porky, dictator of New Pork City and the one who created the Chimeras. Of how he made Claus, the Masked Man, into his robotic slave and pull out the Seven Needles so he could unleash some sort of Dark Dragon. Of how he made Lucas and Claus fight, even after being sealed in the Absolutely Safe Capsule. Of how he separated Doctor Andonuts from Jeff Andonuts, keeping the two apart forever.

Giygas in turn spoke of his days as Giegue, of how he was once someone who was raised by two Humans, Maria and George, of how George stole away the secrets of PSI from Giegue's people, and forced Giegue to come to Earth to wipe out Humanity and preserve the Secrets of PSI, though, his first invasion was stopped by a descendent of George and Maria named Ninten and his friends, who drove him off and caused him to slowly become what he was now...

In the end, the two almost seemed to laugh with each other at the irony. An Alien Overlord, and a Future Dictator, both working together in the late parts of the Alien's reign and at the start of the Dictator's. It was almost as if Giegue left a legacy in Porky.

And now?

They were the only beings left alive in this dead Universe in which they drift, eternally stuck with one another as company.

Whether that was good for Giygas and/or Porky, or bad for the both of them, was up for debate, but, over time, the two of them did make amends, and finally understood what made them lose to Ninten, Ness, and Lucas so long ago...
