falling in love (and ready to unleash hell)
Harry swore so loudly that Neville on the desk next to him dragged his eyes from the screen and spun around in concern.
"We've got a situation. My guy's got a home intruder and it looks bad."
When Harry had accepted a desk job in the FBI after enough PTSD to make people worry about him, he'd expected it to be mind-numbingly boring. Monitoring certain people through their webcams and devices in their house was a poorly kept secret and he'd been tasked with the Weasley household.
Harry hadn't expected to fall in love.
The family was loud, happy, opinionated and fierce. But Harry had truly fallen head over heels for Ron Weasley, the youngest son and second youngest child of the family who'd just returned from University and was working two jobs to try and help his parents make ends meet.
Harry had watched as Ron had searched for ways to help his sister who struggled with mental health, for how to write poetry on Mother's Day, the texts he and his friends had sent between each other and with each hour, Harry had effectively broken every rule that the FBI imposed on their 'Unspeakable' agents.
Never develop personal feelings for your subjects.
Several times he'd manipulated website algorithms and search engines to help Ron with a certain project or work. It had been worth it so Ron's satisfied smile through the blurry webcam connection.
But now Harry had watched in horror as men wearing intricately carved masked broke into the Weasley home (they referred to it as the Burrow in their family chat) and knocked out Arthur Weasley, tying the family to chairs. Harry had counted several weapons before he was on his feet, reaching for his jacket.
"What are you doing?" Neville asked sharply, although when Harry met his eyes he knew that Neville knew exactly what Harry was thinking.
"I can't just sit back and watch. I'm going to help them."
It was another hard and fast rule that the Unspeakables had, that you shouldn't ever meet your subjects. Neville stood up and pulled his own jumper on over his head, reaching for his gun.
"Alright then, I'll have your back."
Harry gave him a grateful smile, took one last look at the monitor which showed Ron shouting at one of the men before he was punched and purposefully walked out of their offices, ready to unleash hell on the people who had dared to touch the man he's falling in love with from afar.
