Disclaimer: If you recognize it, I do not own it. I know I have not updated in forever. This is not an overly long update but I am trying to add a chapter to as many stories as possible. I am using Grammarly so hopefully, my grammar and spelling will be better. I hope you enjoy.

Morning came fairly quickly. Most of the Gryffindors stayed up late socializing but Harry went to bed early. He did not sleep though. He spent the night struggling through more nightmares on what has yet to happen. Sometimes it was hard to live in the present when all you saw was the future. Each painful dream was a scary reminder of what would happen if he failed. It was a lot of pressure but he hoped that he could change it.

Harry found Lysander easily headed to breakfast. Harry had saw which way he was coming and so he waited there. Perhaps it was cheating just slightly but he wouldn't have seen it if it was not important to. He would take another moment to get closer to the Slytherin. He had a feeling the other boy would not make it easy. Lysander scowled with his friends as Harry went directly in front of him blocking his path. "So thoughts. How much does a name change Lysander Lestrange?"

He scowled feeling slightly tricked. He had never suspected the boy to be a Potter. "Beat it, kid," Lysander sneered. It was not as vicious as he was known for since he found the other boy puzzling.

Harry however just continued, "or what, you'll show me what a big bad dark wizard will do? I thought we went through that."

"Griffindor," Lysander growled remembering the conversations they had had the day before.

Harry however just smirked. "Perhaps. The hat was very accepting of my choice. A house, a name defines nothing Lysander."

Lysander knew better. A house and a name defined everything. It was everything in the wizarding world. There was no escaping either of them. "You will leave me the hell alone if you know what is good for you," Lysander threatened.

Harry was once again not bothered, completely calm. Lysander's companions were shocked. Typically people feared the other teen. They had never before seen anyone so casually throw off his threats. "Oh, and what was it. Moronic thickheaded git. Apparently, I don't know what is good for me. A house defines no one. It is the choices you make that define who you will become." If Harry could not believe that, there was no hope.

"Half-blood." Harry rolled his eyes at the weak insult. He was clearly not trying very hard. He expected better insults from one of the most feared Slytherins at Hogwarts.

"First-generation pureblood," Harry corrected without hesitation. "Depends on which scale you use. both parents are magical remember."

Lysander sneered. Harry just winked turning around, "Never turn your back on an enemy Potter. It will get you killed."

Harry just grinned not at all worried about what he said, it was not the threat that Lysander was trying to make it into, "not enemies Lysander. We are friends last time I checked."

He went into the great hall and over to the Gryffindor table smirking. He felt like that was a very successful meeting. The other Slytherins reactions at the very least were interesting. None of them quite knew how to take him.

Lysander, however, had frozen temporarily. What was going through that kid's head? He had no idea how to take Potter's actions. it made no sense to him. The kid should have hated him on the spot. "Potters...what," the boy with him demanded unable to figure it out. "What the hell was that Lestrange?"

"Ignore him Pucey. I do," Lysander sneered though the first year's actions had shaken him.

Harry just seemed to wait until he sat to turn in his seat facing him smirking. He had a lot of work in front of him but he would do it. "Lestrange giving you a problem," Fred and George asked since they had seen them walk in nearly together. They knew that Lestrange could be one of the more dangerous Slytherins, on reputation alone.

Harry faced them, once again their deaths flashed in front of his eyes. He would have to prevent it but that was harder. He had already been friends with them. Perhaps if he pushed them to no longer follow the old man without thought he could prevent it. He knew how involved the leader of the light had been in their deaths.

"Not at all, if anything its quite the opposite," Harry stated easily. "He seems to think that we have no potential to be friends or even civil. I, however, don't put much stock in houses and names and feel like proving him wrong."

They gaped, putting together what he just said. "Your insane, don't you know who that is," Fred demanded unable to believe the first year was serious.

Harry nodded, if he was changing perceptions, maybe he could change theirs, "I know exactly who he is," Harry stated. He knew he was a hero who gave his life when he didn't have to. Who fought for those who would sooner have let him die than help him. He knew more than anyone else.

"Then why would you want to be his friend, he doesn't have friends. He is a Slytherin," George stated.

Harry had no intention of letting him get away with that statement. "He is 13, 13-year-olds have friends no matter which house they belong to," Harry said bluntly. Prejudices like that got people killed. He would not accept it from anyone anymore. "If he didn't before then I get the pleasure of being his first. You know, cunning, ambition. They are noble traits. Just as Bravery and Boldness are. Same as knowledge, studious, loyal hardworking. Last I checked the rest came from judging views and cruel taunts. There is value in all the houses. You just need to look for it."

Everyone around him did not know how to take that statement. It went against everything they had been taught. "You're nuts," Fred decided.

Harry grinned, that was enough pushing his views for the moment. If he pushed too hard, they would push back. Slow changes were necessary, "but I heard you are the people to go to if you are fond of pranks and Havok making," Harry stated.

The twins grinned together, "now you're speaking our language," George decided. "Crazy first year."

Harry just smirked. "Why don't we get Neville and we go set up some beginning of the year pranks."

Neville looked confused and a bit worried at being brought into something he did not know about. "Me what," Neville asked since he just walked in. He had no idea what Harry was dragging him into. Knowing him for nearly 24 hours now, Neville was instantly worried.

"Pranks, come on," Harry said giving him a puppy-dog pout.

"We can prank the Slytherins," George said grinning.

Harry glared startling him. He had quite the vicious glare for a first year. "Or, I don't know, maybe the staff which will be more amusing and not hit one of my friends. Might be a better start."

The twins didn't know how to take him. But they liked challenges. "That's no fun," Fred stated challengingly. Few first years would fail to give in to pressure from upper years but Harry never faltered.

"Then I will prank myself," Harry returned, "because otherwise, it is blatant bullying. I don't bully anyone. If you target the other houses as well, fine by me but just targeting Slytherin is bullying. Come on Nev. Want to join me. I'm sure we can come up with something without them."

Neville looked to him, "I have a feeling I will be joining you even if I don't want to so I misawell go willingly."

Harry grinned. Neville was a quick learner, that would help things. "It will be fun."

The twins shared a look, clearly, he liked the Slytherin's most hated student. They couldn't figure out why but they weren't going to give up the chance to have a pranking buddy. "Alright kid, we won't prank the Slytherins this time," George stated causing a few Slytherins who heard the whine to glance over.

"Because you weirdly like them. Who actually likes Slytherins anyways. You are crazy but only Lee will prank with us so you win this round," Fred said.

Harry grinned pleased. "I got some ideas," Harry said happily. He took that as a rather large win. He would have hated to lose the twins as friends. From his visions, they would be great ones. "My dad was a big prankster here and I want to do him proud. Like only a marauder would deserve."

The twins nearly fell off there chairs. "you...you are the son of a marauder," Fred demanded. He could hardly believe it. It had to be a prank in and of itself but how would he even know of there existence if he was not truly related to them.

Harry nodded, "Prongs, I am the son of prongs."

The twins got up and bowed to him dramatically. "I guess your dad was there hero or something," Neville said.

"Apparently. You know, you could keep bowing, it is good for my ego and all or we could go plan a prank," Harry offered as they instantly jumped up pulling him and Neville out of the room. Catching Lee on the way out.
